Located off Portola Pwky in Irvine in the shopping plaza. Parking is shared with the other businesses. The place is not as big as I expected there are plenty of tables including the outdoor area. The staff is friendly and nice. Service was pretty quick. The food however is on the pricey side but then again this is Irvine. I came here to see my friend Barbara who is the bartender / server. She is very friendly and helpful she will take care of you. She knows her stuff. I got the sautéed calamari which was good I would get that again. Overall a nice place to check out. Be sure to come here and have Barbara serve you at the bar and at the tables. read more

This place seems to be a hit or miss. It was a hit for us tonight! We absolutely enjoyed our Friday night dinner and will definitely be back. I had the meatloaf and it was so juicy and delicious. My husband had the beef pappardelle pasta and was really happy with his choice. We ordered the brussel sprouts appetizer and it was okay (we wouldn't order it again)- it felt over-charred to us and was bitter due to the charring. They give you amazing bread and butter- it was like crack. SO GOOD! The Yelp check-in gives you a free Ridiculous Sundae and that was the highlight of our night! The food was good but the sundae was great! My husband loved the brownie on the bottom of the sundae and he ate up all the ice cream. Jason, the manager (I think), was super friendly and very attentive. We will come back and recommend to our friends and family! read more

What a great find! After driving past Zov's a few times a week we decided to give it a way for lunch one afternoon - I had the lentil soup and it was a large portion which was delicious and quite filling. Enjoyed the food enough that we returned with our kids for family dinner last week and I tried the vegetable bowl with shrimp. The kids enjoyed their meals and the yummy dessert. Four stars because the food was ever so slightly under seasoned for my taste but all in all a great experience. Will definitely be back. read more

Tonight I have been there; for to-go I had ordered my order and waitress Hannah okayed to sit the table for 15 minutes, so I sat and waited for my order. Other waitress asked me to leave the table because of reservation. I told her where is the reservation sign on the table? Same time she asked guests, "where do you want to sit inside or outside?" First time here and suggested by a friend living nearby. We had actually planned to come here for happy hour drinks and snacks, but we were told that they only served happy hour at the bar....bummer .....however, the bar was pretty crowded and did 't look as comfy as the table/booths....and outdoor seating, so we just went ahead and took a table and skipped the HH. It would definitely have been very pleasant to sit on the outdoor patio, but it was still a bit warm outside. Not a big deal as this place had a very warm, comfortable, and classy interior. We were immediately greeted by a nice and friendly hostess who asked us if we prefer to sit outside or inside?....we chose inside. She then led us to a nice cozy booth and soon after our really friendly server came by to pass us the menus and to take our drinks orders.....well, we were here for HH so we ordered some beer and wine. We weren't planning to have anything heavy at this early dinner hour, so just to snack on we ordered simply.....just a Chop Chop Salad and the Sauteed Calamari. It's hard to give an honest and thorough review on the food based on a couple of appetizers, but all I will say is that the salad was fresh and the calamari was tasty......but we definitely enjoyed the beer and wine. The food and drinks seemed a bit pricey to me, but I guess this is an upscale Irvine area so is to be expected. I would definitely like to come back and try a real HH experience at the bar....with TVs behind airing sports.....and just enjoy some HH drinks and snacks. I tried the Greek salad with chicken and a side of hummus and I've craved it everyday since! The hummus tastes so fresh and is the perfect consistency with the light and crunchy chickpeas on top. The chicken was moist and the salad was crispy with a great balance of flavors between the cheese, olives, cucumbers, etc. The staff is also very welcoming! The outdoor patio area has been expanded, is shaded with overhang or umbrella at every table and everything is adequately + safely spaced out. I've been here plenty times and every time it's the same, serene, relaxing, calming experience. Time just seems to stand still while enjoying a meal here. We usually go to Snooze in Tustin for a weekend breakfast but the wait is always over an hour. We made a reservation here through open table for 11:00am and surprised that less than 30% of the restaurant was filled! I seriously debated if I should write this review because I secretly want it to always be able to walk in an be seated immediately. The only downside is they don't have wifi buuuut you can get FREE WIFI from guest@orchardhills through the Irvine Apartment Communities next door!!! Woo! Hooo! This morning I had the Zov's Breakfast pictured. My love had the Special Omelette but was halfway done eating it when I went to take a picture - sheesh - he was so hungry. EVERYTHING - and I mean EVERYTHING - I have EVER had here is wonderful. There is NO one favorite I have. I do have a new favorite server though - Trish! She made the BEST Chai Latte I have had! Hubby and I had a gift certificate for Zov's where I've dined before in other locations in the past. The Zov's in Tustin was closed on Sunday so we went to the Irvine location. The Irvine Zov's is located in one of the many strip malls with lots of free parking .....thank you! Hubby and I arrived and were seated in one of the inside booths as requested. Our server took our drink orders as we perused the menu. Our drink orders arrived and our server took our lunch order: (1) Complimentary Roll & Butter The roll was served right out of the oven & was delish! (2) Lentil Soup Hubby & I both ordered the lentil soup which arrived luke warm. We requested that our soups be re-heated; however, our two bowls returned just a tad hotter. The flavor and the texture of the lentil soup was yummy. Next time, Hubby and I will just split the soup. (3) Pan Roasted Sea Bass Sea bass served with jasmine rice pilaf, shaved brussel sprouts, spinach, tomatoes, sumac & lemon caper butter sauce. My sea bass was perfectly cooked and the accompaniments were wonderful. I would order this entry again! (4) Kebob Two Ways Hubby ordered two chicken kebobs which was served with rice pilaf, tomato cucumber salad & yogurt mint sauce. He said the chicken was moist but the dish was overpriced. Meh. I think this place is overrated and I wouldn't come here again. 1. We ordered pita with a dip. At no point during the meal did any wait staff check in on us and asked if we wanted anything else like more pita or water. They didn't come until after we were finished and were picking up our plates. 2. The dishes we ordered (angel hair pasta) came just barely warm and not piping hot. 3. It would have been nice if the pasta came with a piece of bread or something. It was literally just pasta. Those plates cost like $18 each and I expected more. read more

The weight wasn't long to get a seated as we have a reservation. They however lacked in service. It took them at least 10 minutes to come around to get our drink orders initially and equally long to continue bringing out our orders. They feel to check on us on our any sort of regular basis. Our drinks were rarely refilled. The food was subpar. I had the roasted vegetable medley and the flat bread. Somehow the flat bread at the airport was better than this location. It came out a little soggy and not very well flavored. The vegetable medley was under flavored in some areas in the rice pilaf was extra salty. Even after mixing it up, it was a disappointment. I came here for dinner with a friend and there wasn't much of a wait (score!) but heyy, it's Irvine -- expect a slightly expensive menu. My friend opted for the seared salmon and I ordered their gorgonzola bacon burger. The seared salmon looked pretty good and my friend enjoyed it since it is more of a healthier option. It came with salmon, wilted baby spinach with tomato sauce and small sauteed potatoes. The burger itself was pretty huge. It came with caramelized onions, arugula, sauteed mushrooms, and applewood smoked bacon with fries. The burger was pretty juicy and all the ingredients tasted great together. Overall, the prices here can be pretty steep but the food is pretty good though. Also, make sure you check-in on Yelp so you get a free sundae. It was a bit too sweet for me, but if you like marshmallow, chocolate cake, and fudge, then you're in for a treat! read more
