If I could give ZPizza a minus star that would be generous. We ordered 2 small and one large totaling $44.00 and change. In 2 the red sauce was nonexistent. The 3rd had a garlic sauce that was bland. Absolutely excellent pizza. I visited the restaurant after a hard day of work, sat down at a nice outside table and enjoyed a crisp, tasteful slice of sausage pizza. Around the restaurant there are table sets with around 4-5 chairs per circular table, including a few tables inside the restaurant as well. They have soft drinks available for individual purchase in bottles in a freezer, as well as fountain drinks. They even have a little freezer with Ben & Jerry's ice cream in it! The only complaint i had, was their trashcan was not labeled so i had to confront the proprietor about the trashcan's location. Overall great pizza, nice/quick service. Recommended. read more

My experience going to Z's Pizza in Westcliff was a REAL PLEASURE, after paying $18.31 for what looks like a medium pizza, you get it home only to find out that it is BURNED. Honestly speaking, as a person who STRONGLY DISLIKED this location, Guillermo has changed my point of view completely. He took my order, repeated it back to me multiple times, discounted me 25% because of the past mistakes, and had my pizza DELIVERED TO ME, all before I even had the chance to go and pick it up. WHATEVER YOU DO MAKE SURE TO STEER CLEAR OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I am new to the area, and while shopping at Pavilions across the street, I decided to stop in and pick up a pizza for dinner. First off, when I walked in, I was greeted by a nice 90 degree climate. Awful. Having never been here before, I asked the man at the register what he would recommend. Unfortunately, he was of no help due to his softly spoken words. I listened quite attentively, yet I was unable to decipher the quiet mumbles. I settled on a large mexican style pizza. When the man rang up my total, which was $21.06, I thought SURELY he had charged me double. My pizza was ready without delay, but to my displeasure, I have to say that buying this pizza was a mistake. I opened the box and noticed the brown avocado slices and messy sour cream. I asked the man working to come over and see if this is how the pizza is REALLY supposed to look. He replied (in a whisper?) that everything seemed to look fine. Having worked at a pizza place in my teens, I KNEW this is NOT what any pizza should look like, let alone one that is $21.06. I politely asked to speak with the manager, hoping to resolve the easily fixable issue. To my dismay, he passively confessed that he was in fact not only the MANAGER but also the OWNER, Doug Pham. I asked how he was going to fix the issue with my pizza and he reluctantly did me the "favor" of offering 10% off my next order, as if he thought I would come in again. I rejected this offer and it didn't even phase him. As if this wasn't bad enough, I got home and noticed that the under side of the box was completely drenched, as if the pizza would fall out of the bottom any second. If that wasn't bad enough, the bottom of the pizza was BURNT! I still to this day do not understand how a pizza that could be SO burnt could also be sopping wet. The only conclusion I have been able to come to is that they dumped a bucket of water on the pizza to put out the flames. In conclusion, this "pizza parlor" is complete shit. It is truly tragic that a restaurant with so much potential could reach such a low due to one individual and his lack of management skills. I would not even feed this pizza to my dog. I pre-ordered 4 pizzas online yesterday. I knew Halloween would be a busy night. I went in at 5pm to pick up my pizzas, they had only made 3. But were super quick to fix my order. I had all 4 pizzas within 9 minutes. Everyone in the store was super friendly and helpful. And our pizzas were yummy!! They had a lot of staff to compensate for the busy night. Wow, guess I should have gotten on-line sooner... It looks like I'm not the only one... For starters, I'm really not one to look at reviews when making a decision and this will be my first time actually writing one,, as I typically prefer to speak directly to the owner directly, in the hopes that the experience I had may be a unique one so that they are made aware of a situation they can then rectify. Unfortunately, after several attempts and repeated chances I was compelled to get on-line to let unsuspecting patrons who may be drawn to this establishment because of Zpizzas quality gourmet reputation, which at this location, is a little hit or miss. In truth the pizza is quite good 80% of the time! but if you request any changes, or additional items added or removed, which, for an online order like mine, is printed out very clearly for the kitchen with the word "NO" or "ADD" at the beginning of each item, then you can forget getting anything remotely close to what you asked for time and time again. The service is terrible, and I would love to chalk it up to the fact that it is being run by a bunch of kids who don't know any better, and are certainly not members of Mensa, but this evening, when for the fourth time in a row, it took over two hours for my food to arrive even though I called in to verify my order was received, because of my previous experiences,and I was told it would another 1/2 hour, but did not arrive for 1hr 15min. - and on the last two times - my online order was lost once - and placed out for pick up the second time, even though it clearly stated on their order "Delivery" and then they said they would have to deliver my order in another hour because now"other people are ahead of me"????? Well, tonight I called, to once again speak with the Owner/Manager, who I did place a call to the last time I had placed an order, because a pattern was starting to form, and it was no longer something I could justify as an off night, After being placed on hold for over 6 minutes I was told the Manager was busy and he couldn't discuss my order right now. I was surprised to receive a call before they closed, because I hadn't received one the last time my order got screwed up. After reading through the majority of these reviews - my first question was "Is the Owner involved in the day to day operation of this business. The "Manager", then corrected himself, and admitted that he was, in fact, the "Owner" So , if in fact he was the "owner", then I could no longer use the excuse that the poor service was attributed to an absentee owner. I discussed with him my continued support of his business because I have always loved Zpizza, and his location was the only one that delivered to our area, and for the most part the pizza has been fairly good, but that I could no longer make excuses for such poor customer service, and no attention to detail, I blame laziness for the most part if you can't read read a black and white list of 5 toppings that you throw on top of a round piece of dough and you fail to include or remove an item where it reads "NO" OR "ADD". My 7 year old will play restaurant and I set up ingredients and he has orders placed by family members "in writing" and takes each vegetable, cheese, and meat option as listed and puts it on top of flat bread and 99.9% of the time. It's perfect! and has only been wrong on one occasion because he forgot he added a topping on the back side of the paper. I explained that I understood that he wasn't employing any Stanford Grads, but even with multiple pizzas being tossed at you how is it possible to forget to put any sauce on a pizza and inside a calzone when the ticket clearly read ADD XTRA SAUCE [x]2? LASTLY, AND THIS IS WHAT I FIND MOST IMPORTANT. I ASKED THE OWNER IF HE WAS AWARE OF THE POOR REVIEWS ON-LINE THAT LIST REPEATEDLY VERY SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SERVICE AND THE FOOD, WHICH IN TRUTH IS PRIMARILY RECEIVING POOR MARKS WHEN RELATED TO THINGS THAT WERE EXECUTED IMPROPERLY BY HIS STAFF. HE WOULDN'T REALLY SAY YES OR NO, IN FACT IM NOT PARTICULARLY SURE HE WAS LISTENING. I TOLD HIM THAT HE REALLY NEEDED TO PAY ATTENTION TO THESE REVIEWS AND CUSTOMERS LIKE ME THAT WERE WILLING TO STICK WITH HIM AND GAVE HIM EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO WORK OUT THESE ISSUES. HES FORTUNATE THAT HE HAS THE AMOUNT OF BUSINESS HE HAS, BUT FROM ONE BUSINESS OWNER TO ANOTHER, I TOLD HIM THAT IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THOSE PEOPLE GET TIRED OF PUTTING UP WITH THE POOR SERVICE AND HE MUMBLED A BIT ABOUT LISTENING TO WHAT I WAS SAYING THAN ASKED ME IF HE COULD GIVE ME A CREDIT FOR MY NEXT VISIT? We have lived in Ladera Ranch since 2001 and our kids have grown up at Zpizza. The store has always been our go-to pizza location and it is a landmark in the Ladera shopping center. Their food is fantastic and their staff is always helpful. I also appreciate the fact that the store is family-owned and they take personal pride in supporting the community. We held a 16th birthday party for our daughter at Oak Knoll clubhouse this past weekend and we catered it with Zpizza. The high school students all loved the pizza and complimented us on our choice of food. You can't go wrong with the menu. read more

They need to put more sauce on their pizza. It's very dry with just cheese and crust with a little sauce. It's always that way so maybe they are told to use less but it's not as good as it could be. Bell peppers red and green need to be diced. The slices are a mess when you bite in and they have big rings of peppers. Fail! Zbbq salad is good but now you can only get it in a large size, they eliminated the small size for a reason that's secret to the staff. They blame corporate. Garlic bread is yummy. I had them deliver last night and nearly had to go to the ER. We often order from them and order the same thing every time. Last night they messed up our order and there was chicken on half of it. I took a bite of it before realizing the pizza had peanut sauce on it. I have a severe allergy. I called to complain and they told me they would send me the correct order. When they say your order will be ready in 35 min, it will actually be an hour. When you do get it, it will be cold and have been sitting on the counter the past 25 min even though you checked several times to see if it was ready. Fortunately I got my money back and after anther 15 min, a new pizza. It was 1 1/2 hours from the time I placed my order to the time I received my order! Let me preface by saying, i never post reviews on anything, but my experience here tonight was so bad, i have to say something. I ordered to go a couple of slices from their precooked selection and a small ZBQ Salad (The ZBQ salad has their special sauce). I asked to add some sausage to the slices, and they said yes. They literally added the cold sausage to the pizza and put it into a to-go container without heating it in their oven. And this was all done right in front of me!! The sausage was ice cold, straight out of the refrigerator. So i handed it back to them and asked for them to heat it up, and she said ok with some attitude. I then had to remind her of my salad, so she then starts to put the ingredients together in a salad container. She then realizes they are out of the ZBQ sauce. So she sticks in some regular ranch (without asking me) and hands it to me. Now, if I wanted a regular salad with ranch, I would've just made my own salad at home! I would have not paid $9 just for their lettuce! I want to also add, the pizza was for my daughter (age 4). I don't think the Dept of Health would approve of selling cold pork products, especially to children. Total health violation. At this point, its been 15 minutes waiting for some pre-made items. I was so fed up, i just left with my daughter. What made me real upset, is i actually put tip in the tip jar right after the transaction not knowing their service is so poor. I was so annoyed, i almost wanted to take my tip back. These kids running the place are either really rude and obnoxious or under the influence of something. If you are the owner and reads these reviews, i highly suggest you get some better help or do some better screening of your employees. Negative stars if possible. read more

Slowest delivery ever. I ordered 2 pizzas and a salad and it gave me an estimated delivery time of 5:55. Here it is 6:29 and still no pizza. I called twice and they gave me the run around both times. "It's on its way" "he had to make another delivery at the same time" For $50 I would think they would have better service than this. Save your time and your money! Don't order from here. I love a lot of toppings on my pizza and with the wide variety to choose from, I can go in and get something new each visit, and the quality is still fantastic every time. I came to this z pizza once after school with a couple of my friends. I was excited to see what all the hype about Z pizza was about! We walked in and were greeted, we felt like we were right at home. We went ahead and ordered a xtra large Z carnivore, (the meat lovers pizza) and couldn't wait to try it. It came out and was ready to eat in a quick 20 mins. I opened up the box and we dug in. The first thing that stuck out to me was how delicious the cheese and marinara sauce was. The perfect ratio. Then I took another bite and could taste all the meat. It was so good and it tasted genuine, Not like processed meat at all.
