5 stars all the way around for Zuki's. First, the decor is clean, fresh, and inviting. Second, the staff is very friendly. Third, and of course, there is the food - top notch all the way around. Had the Chicken Shwarma lunch combo. The owner (who is also the chef and contractor who built the place), brought us some homemade pita and hummus to munch on as our orders were being prepared. This is the real deal, not some mass produced spread from the grocery store. The seasoning was authentic and gave just the right about of pop. Homemade dressing for the salad was a nice balsamic vinaigrette - again with just the right amount of seasoning and flavor. On to the chicken - moist, tender, and everything a proper Chicken Shwarma should be. Zuki's is clearly family owned and the food shows the love that goes into it. There are plenty of medium and big box wannabe Mediterranean places in Phoenix, but their food doesn't compare. Zuki's is a locally owned restaurant with great food. Support this new local restaurant and show Zuki's some love. You won't regret it. read more

Recently, visited Zuki's Pita this past Friday. The portion is a good size for the price. I ordered the gyro which consisted of fresh tomatoes, onions, lettuce and refreshing taziki sauce. The price is reasonable for $6.99. However, for Covid protocol all the staff were maskless, there was no hand sanitizer and the table was not clean. There were crumbs of food on a couple table. The place only had 4 other guest during our visit and there were about the same about of staff members. To be honest, I would prefer to get the food takeout next time. read more

This review is for my gluten free, gluten intolerant and gluten sensitive Yelpers. The falafel IS gluten free. When I called to ask if the falafel was gluten free the person on the either end had no idea what I was talking about which made me nervous. Fast forward to several months later, I decided to try again. This time a different person answered the phone, but still had no idea what gluten is. She put me on hold and said the falafel is made from chickpeas, onion and parsley. That's all I needed to know. I would not chance it if you're Celiac. I paired the falafel with the Greek salad and it was simply delicious. I love supporting local businesses. read more

Zukis is now our go to Greek restaurant. The food is always fresh and the pita soft and warm. We love the gyros and fries, and our daughter loves the cheeseburgers. I especially enjoy the seasoning in the fries. My only complaint has been the chicken shwarma. I ordered it only once and it was Not good. I keep thinking maybe I caught them on an off-night because everything else has been wonderful. I really should venture into trying more things here. read more

I've been a regular customer of Zuki's since I moved down the street about 3 months ago, and can honestly say that I've never had a meal that wasn't made from the freshest ingredients, and served with love. They have a great selection and the food is delicious. I especially like their spicy hummus- which is good by itself, or used as a condiment. I moved to central Phoenix from Tempe and was having the hardest time trying to find good middle eastern food. I was finally graced with Zukis. My favorite is the chicken shawarma plate. Omggggg i can't even tell you how delishious it is. It is a lot of food and makes for great left overs as well! I've also tried their gyros. Delishious. Everything here is great. The restaurant exceeded our expectations! Every dish was fresh and delicious. It is family owned, and the staff brought us several kinds of hummus to try before our food arrived, along with fried pita chips. The gyro platter, chicken wrap, falafel wrap, babaganoush, and stuffed grape leaves were wonderful. It was also sparkling clean. read more

First of all everything is cooked when you order it and is served piping hot which is one of my favorite things... so hot that you have to wait a minute or so to eat. The portions are generous and I was happy that they did not nickel and dime you on the combo drink! You can either choose a fountain drink or a bottled/can drink from their refrigerator. Now, on to the flavor. I am 6'3" and 280lbs and eat out twice a day. I ordered the combo with a salad and was full... BUT the meat was so good and flavorful that I went back and ordered a side of meat... which is probably why I am 280lbs. The staff was very pleasant and helpful as well. Absolutely fantastic spot, consistently great food. Everything is always fresh and super flavorful. Love the falafel, always cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The falafel plate comes with rice, hummus, pita, and a little fresh salad and they're all great every time out. The jalapeño hummus isn't particularly spicy, but it's super tasty. Also get gyros here consistently and they're crazy good, loaded up with meat and they get the proportion of sauce and veggies just right. The dining room is clean and the service is always good. Sexy Gyro SO much better than Crazy Jim's down the street! A little on the expensive side for a gyro (although I think we Phoenicians are cheapskates), but the food is SO MUCH BETTER than the nearest competitor - Crazy Jim's on 15th Ave- that this is now my go-to for a wonderfully hot, juicy and - dare I say it - *sexy* gyro. I visited just within the last month and had some trepidation from a prior reviewer who said that the staff here wasn't wearing masks. Not a good idea in the middle of a raging pandemic and "the cold that can kill you", and so I stayed away - until I was famished and out of options. Hey, saith I, let's try that pita place down the street. So, mask on and masked husband in tow.. even though he cast a curious eye at the, ah.... "cultural center", Exodus, close by. The types going in and out of *there* don't look like the evening-at-the-opera types, if you get my drift. I grabbed his ear and dragged him in.. ha. No, you don't get to take your sandwich there, dude, especially if I'm paying...sorrynotsorry, man.. I've always thought the best test of any restaurant, no matter how expensive or cheap or what they serve, is how well the people working there listen to their patrons. They passed the 'onion test' with flying colors (I ask for something on the order - usually an onion - to be left out). This is the same test that Crazy Jim's got wrong each and every time - in fact, once I got *extra* onion. But not only was THIS order correct, fresh and ready on time, the onion-free sandwich was marked so, and it was brought out to us waiting in the dining area. Nice service! Our sandwiches - both gyros - were delicious. Fries - well, not so much - not spectacular (again, there's nothing in the world like Evanston, Illinois' Cross Rhodes (https://www.yelp.com/biz/cross-rhodes-evanston?osq=cross+rhodes) lemon garlic Greek fries - man, I would pay to have those Fedexed to me if that would work) but for the value and the care that this was prepared with, this was just great. No harissa, but who the hell in the US knows what harissa is anyway? That's what ROOSTER SAUCE is for, and bless them, they had it (though I have to admit I use way too much of the stuff on all kinds of things, but that's a different conversation). Because of the quality of our orders and the range of the menu, I was tempted to order more things and take them home and freeze them. Temporary madness. But we will be back! They had good vegetarian options and a great range of choices, and again - with attention to detail like they have, I think almost anything can be modified within reason if you just ask. And, now I'm happy to say ALL the staff is now wearing masks. Good on them. And good for us, too. The only thing that would top this is either halal or kosher certification (halal is easier, plus no worries about mixing dairy and meat, but .. still, that would be awesome), plus delivery, but this isn't New Yawk, yanno. Still - Thank you! It's great to experience a place that cares about what it's doing. ....Just stay away from the "cultural center". I don't think it's any kind of culture you'd expect to see.. or want to .. contract. Better just go get a nice fresh shwarma instead. Maybe Zuki's could take *that* place over in a few years?
