Such a fun place with a big pizza oven where you can watch them cook the pizzas. Very casual restaurant that smells so good when you walk in. Our server, Chase, was great and friendly. After reviewing the menu and deciding, we started with a 1/2 Cesar Salad and I forgot to ask for extra dressing, which I typically do but it wasn't needed. Perfectly dressed, tangy salad with crispy croutons and big shaves of parmesan cheese. I also had the Chicken Marsala and wife ordered the Mary Margherita Pizza. Both were so good...the chicken was so tender and their marsala sauce was delicious and rich and so tasty. Served with spaghetti for the perfect dish! The pizza was so good...with their crust being cooked to perfection with bits of char. The crust is light and flavorful although it is a bit soggy at the end but no worries, we loved it all together. And of course, we had the sticky toffee cake for dessert, which is to die for as well. Overall a great meal and we will be back! Sorry no photos this time around!

Overall, this place had both comfortable seating and comfort food. Italian is one of my favorite things to dine, and get that dopamine fix from pasta. The sweet cookie works well with the less sweet and more tart options. It's pretty smart. Our server, Hanna was very attentive with food, drinks and waters and also very upbeat. Definitely not a dull place to get a drink at all. People seemed to be having a good time and enjoying the cozy feel of the bar. I would recommend this place if you're in downtown Chandler for cocktails and drinks and you don't want to stand all night and prefer to sit and chat.

Update: The store owner has reached out to correct problem. Thanks Jody. Horrible customer service and food presentation from the Ocotillo location. I ordered a simple 20 inch pepperoni pizza. My first order at a place with great reviews. Not a good first impression. We wanted to support local business during this time, and terribly regret it now. We received the pizza in smashed, perhaps fallen formation. We requested their "no contact delivery" which they boast as a perk right now due to the virus outbreak. Sounded perfect. The delivery person parked in the complex and called me to come get it from her, as she didn't know which apartment numbers represented top floor versus first floor. Ok fine. When I got in and looked, the pizza had obviously taken a fall or something as it was smashed to one side and folded on top of each other, sauce and cheese stuck to to lid. And honestly, who knows. .... ok things happen. I called store and was told a new 20 inch was on the way. Great! Well they delivered a smaller pizza instead. ? Called back and was flabbergasted when the manager, Victor, told us that we couldn't have the same size we PAID FOR initially since some of the first pizza must be fine to eat. I explained that I wasn't feeding my family something that may have been dropped or who knows what, and that it is surprising that he would be fine with customers eating food that he couldn't explain what happened to it. We stated we would either like the same size pizza we paid for, or a refund. Simple, reasonable request. He wouldn't refund it and argued with us that we should only get a smaller pizza because the other one WAS FINE! Ummm, really?! After arguing and harassing us over the phone, he said we could get another delivered "but the first one better have no missing pieces so we can bring it back to us". Really?! We were happy to have it ready, as it would have seen the trash soon anyways. Angry, bitter, and unreasonable managing of a family owned local pizza joint. We waited another hour for that delivery.... which was brought by another location all the way in Tempe! Did they transfer the order to them because they didn't want to rectify the bad customer service they were offering?? We actually got a call from a different location owner and worker apologizing for the previous conversations with the Ocotillo location. Unbelievable experience that could have been fixed with "I'm sorry, here is another equal order for what you paid for in the first place." Or maybe a future voucher to make up for the inconvenience. But kudos to Ed and James from Tempe for offering good customer service! read more

Had a bad experience with a female employee here. Long Brownish hair. I believe her name was Ainsley? She was very rude & rolled her eyes to me while I was asking her a question, but then she was extremely nice and even flirty with another male customer... i assume they knew each other however honestly, a young girl shouldn't even be working here or flirting with customers if she's going to act like that. This is a pleasant find in Chandler. Fresh made pizzas, great taste, friendly service and amazing specials and offers. Their slice of pizza is comparable to almost a 1/4 of the pie. Happy hour/lunch special of 2-pieces of pizza and a beer for $9. Awesome and a great value. I have tried almost everything on the menu and you won't be disappointed. It had a plethora of glowing reviews. The order: 1 large specialty pie, 1 large pepperoni pie, and 1 small pepperoni and mushroom pie. This place is located on San Tan Blvd. One of the many sneaky spots on this road that looks seemingly dead, but if you are paying attention you immediately start noticing all the business along it. If you haven't driven down San Tan Blvd, I encourage you to do so. A lot of hidden gems there. We arrived at crusty's and were instantly greeted by the very helpful staff. The establishment was very clean, which is always a welcome sight. The prep area is very visible. They have a home made dough. Which was a good start. The I had one slice of each of the pies we ordered. The dough was cooked well. Crispy and fluffy all at once. It had a lil char on the crust but could have been a little more charred. I don't know about you, but there is something about those big black bubbles on the crust that really make it good. They don't bake their pies in a gas or brick oven pizza. They have one of those electric assembly line type ovens. The one you put the pizza in on one side and it rides the conveyor belt to the end which completes the cook. I really think this pizza would benefit a lot from a traditional over either gas or brick. Especially that crust. The toppings were fresh and very well distributed. Not too much and not too little. Just right. Goldie locks would love that. The one true disappointment here is the sauce. It's not a bad sauce, but it's not a good sauce either. In fact it just sauce. It had no flavor to it. I ate my first slice and oh maybe it this pie. I tried the next and then the next. Same results. Just no flavor to it. I would have said it was me. After all I'm on this high protein diet and it's altered my taste buds, but my wife unprompted turned to me said "this pizza isn't bad, but the sauce doesn't have any flavor". All in all Crusty is worth a try, but I encourage the owners to season their sauce a bit more. The sauce is soooo important to a good slice. Also... get an oven. Their prices are extremely reasonable boarding on generous. A small price hike would still be good pricing and allow you to get a real oven to cook your pies in.

They do mostly ToGo orders, but also have a couple of small bistros if you choose to eat in. Wings are always good, but I like to request them crispy with extra sauce cause there never seems to be enough. Ranch is delicious and house made. I love that you can order a completely different pizza on each half for the same price! General cook on the pizza, needs to be a little longer, but maybe that's just my preference. They also have a rewards program where you can earn points for different food items. The food is always consistent and fresh and the staff are always so cordial. Since it's a smaller business, they mainly do takeout and delivery, however they do have 2 small booths to eat at which we've done before. They also have amazing wings which are always big and meaty with a variety options for sauces and seasonings. Rino D's has always consistently been our go to for pizza and wings!
