We came here on a Saturday night to celebrate one of our girlfriend's birthday, excited for a fun evening out. The location has plenty of parking, but unfortunately, you'll have to pay for it--and no, they don't validate parking. To get to the restaurant, you'll need to head to the side of the hotel and take the elevator up. Once inside, don't expect someone to greet you at the door, it's a self-seating setup. As soon as we settled in, our server arrived with menus in hand. She was incredibly sweet, patiently answering all our questions since it was our first time here. The ambiance was cozy and intimate, with a trendy open kitchen concept that made the space feel alive. The drinks? Decent, but not memorable--especially at the steep prices. As for the food, we wanted to love it, but it just didn't deliver. For the premium price tag, the dishes were underwhelming. The Croquettas are in the "crispy" section but they were mushy and not crispy at all. The reason I indicated "maybe" recommend is the issue with the manager. I made the mistake of letting him know we were from California. On my way back from the restroom, he cornered me preventing me from re-entering the restaurant and proceeded to interrogate me about California politics and asked me if I drive an electric car. Telling me that the California power grid can't handle all the electric cars that are being mandated. I politely informed him he was misinformed and I drive a Jeep. Ok so what was that all about? The only thing I can think is that Californians are not welcome. And guess what? I don't recommend this business if you're from California no matter what car you drive. Went on a Sunday evening around 5:30 and quickly found seating on the patio. Gorgeous views and a great ambiance with the cooler weather, the bigger doors were open for the inside to easily flow to the outside. Server was super friendly and I'm kicking myself for not remembering her name! She gave amazing recommendations and great service. Everything we tried came quickly and was tasty. So we had dragonfly, watermelon cooler, blood orange sangria, collins TEJAS. Watermelon cooler was the best for the hot texas summer night. We order multiples on that one. The sangria was one of the best I ever had, and I had a lot lol. Dragonfly was really refreshing as well. And, collins TEJAS with added texas bluebonnet didn't look the part but definitely taste the part. It was great blend of sweet and spicy. Good spot for an upscale vibe in the stockyards. The restaurant has an open kitchen concept. We ordered the charcuterie boards and some cocktails. One board had cheeses and pickled veggies while the other board had cured meat and sausage. The venison sausage was our favorite. The cocktails were more on the pricier side, but made well. The staff were friendly, but we did have to wave down other servers to order more food, drinks, and our bill because our server disappeared for a good bit of time. Ambiance: Decor was simple and the space has a lot of natural light and versatile seating options. I loved the live music. Flew in for a quick layover, over superbowl weekend. Resturant is located on the rooftop of one of the hotels, one disclaimer they were doing construction so part of the rooftop was closed off. All the servers and bartenders were super friendly when we walked in. The resturant is a tapas sharing plates, and the portions are very generous! We ordered about 5 plates for 3 people and were stuffed after. Very good flavors and you could taste the great Latin flavors. Tori took great care of us. The little pizza was good and the ambiance was great. Drinks were quite nice but the charcuterie was definitely below par like way below par... Like my local grocery store deli probably beats it out by a good margin. Even the iberco which was heavily marketed is not very good. It's very very old and heavily aged so it's got a good bit of funk. All good if you're into that. I've had a beer ago before and loved it, but this was no bueno. I did not try plenty of dishes so there could be other dishes that are quite good, but based on what I had don't think I'll be making it back this way anytime soon read more

We arrived and was a little unsure on being seated as there isn't a hostess. Luckily the couple behind us had been there before and told us to just find a table. It would be helpful if there was a sign at the door as it makes it awkward upon arrival. We were greeted pretty quickly after sitting. The small plates are not so small. We're used to a small plate being so small two people get a couple of bites. Well these are Texas sized small plates. The patatas we're excellent. We didn't like the H'tapiti with Goat Cheese. Deer salami is the same as deer sausage on the menu acc to server. When you think sausage you don't think salami and when you order the sausage coca (flatbread), it's not like salami - confusing. Coca's are served on a wood pizza peel, but in a puddle of grease - a turn off but it was fantastic in spite of the grease. The lomo flatbread is classic too. Awesome. Service: Our girl warned us about her ADHD and she didn't disappoint! She was sweet but forgot about two dishes we ordered and our last round of booze. She saw me hunting her after about 20 minutes & remembered our last round. She apologized, but she needs a system or manager's help, something. Ambiance: This could be the best vibe in the city but Friday night traffic sounds drown out everything - throwing revs & loud mariachi-techno idiocy is the vibe. Music choice kinda sucks inside too - it might be ironic? No one is there to hear bad 90's generic BS. If it's Catalonian, play some 12-string, some gypsy guitars, yacht rock, whatever - not Rod Stewart. Parking can sometimes be found on the curbs for free but uber or you'll be paying more than an uber for parking. There's an external elevator, so you don't have to bother the hotel staff. They even gave us complimentary non-alcoholic shots...which was nice??! The menu is pretty extensive, but a little overpriced for what you're getting. The hummus dip was just average. The potatoes were just alright. I will say, venison flatbread was pretty delicious, so maybe get that instead. You might get lucky with street (parallel) parking, but we ended up just paying to park in the lot behind the hotel. Overall, you're going to get average food for above average prices. Suppose thats the intent. Food was good but also on the higher side, shrimp dish of three was $32 as an example. The ambiance here is awesome, especially at night around Christmas/New Year with all the lights around Ft Worth & Drover Hotel. The balcony has wall like closures they will close when it's cold but it's not fully sealed so it stays cool. My friend brought a blanket, which was great & really helped. Not sure why they don't have the gas portable heaters, that would have been ideal. The service was great--checked in but not too much. The food is good, a bit pricy as were the drinks and the style is straight up Spanish (like Barcelona). We did everything family style so we could all taste several things. We started with Pan Con Tomate (tomato bread) that was good but for $12 we got 2 pieces of bread with chopped tomatoes. It was very fresh but was more like Bruschetta style than the tomato bread we had in Barcelona. We then ordered one of the Cocas - Deer Salami, Roasted Fennel, Manchego, Roasted Jalapeño Pesto flatbread ($18). We were looking forward to this for the fennel but sadly this was so light we could hardly taste any fennel but the flatbread was well done, crisp and a good bit of cheese - over all tasty. We then had the shaved lomo which is a board of dry cured pork tenderloin and pickled vegetables. This was also available as a flat bread (Cocas) but I'd recommend getting this on the board, really good this way. We then had one of their "jars" called H'tapiti With Goat Cheese which is Sweet Roasted Red Pepper and Goat Cheese Dip served with crisp bread and pita triangles. All the dishes were presented well and all were fresh. Our biggest comment on the food (other than some of the portions for the price) is there wasn't much seasoning to the dishes. We arrived on New Year's Eve at 5:30 and was told they were out of 5 different bottles of wine. One of their speciality drinks is blood orange sangria. It was really good but was $18 per glass. Sangria is typically made with cheap wine because it has fruit juices, chunks of fruit then topped with seltzer or club soda, so no need to use expensive wine. $18 (to me) was just too much for this type of a drink. They have one dessert, Cream Catalana ($18). Basically like crème brûlée. It was good but the serving was about half of a cup and again, $18. Definitely had fun and would go back, but will not be one of our regular places. read more
