When I opened the door, to enter the bakery, a fresh smell of baked goods and sweets hit me in the best possible way. It smelled like fresh maple glazed donuts. I love that smell. We were warmly greeted by the staff. It wasn't busy at all, so we took our time looking for other sweets to purchase. They found our pre-ordered cake and they did a wonderful job decorating with a cute pumpkin on the top. We also chose an apricot danish, a maple bar and a raisin snail. The prices were very affordable and reasonable here. I really loved how all the pastries and cakes. were displayed in their cases. Everything looked amazing. They even sell fresh loaves of bread and rolls. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were immediately helped with a smile. I love the old fashioned vibe in here. The pumpkin burnt almond cake was so good. The cake was so soft and light with a wonderful pumpkin flavor that reminds me of fall. The frosting and custard filling paired perfectly with the pumpkin cake. The caramelized almonds covered the entire outer cake and offered a nice flavorful crunch. The whole thing works perfectly.
