Love coming to this location and grabbing a quick bite! Service is always good, quick and the food never disappoints! I went during lunch hour and ordered their shrimp and grits with a small wedge salad on the side. I can say they have the best wedge salads in the area ! The shrimp and grits were flavorful and just the right amount of it all for a quick bite!

Oren was the BEST waiter- very attentive and available but not too much. Our food was delicious my husband got the dry aged ribeye pitsburg style and it was cooked perfectly. I got the crab cakes and I see why it is $50 because it is a good amount of meat - not breading. The cornbread skilled is always a classic it could of been a little crisper on the edges but I enjoyed it. The reason I did not give 5 starts is because as I was leaving I saw they had a 90 score. Not sure why it is that low but I'm sure they are working on it. The bathroom was clean, the inside is a nice size but I do recommend a reservation as we went on a Wednesday and it was packed. Great service. The staff really works together as a team which is amazing.

Went with a party of 3 on a Tuesday afternoon. There is ample 2 -hr parking behind the restaurant. The restaurant staff were warm & welcoming. We were seated shortly after arriving. The restaurant was clean, spacious & a not to loud. Get the cornbread. Get the cornbread. Get the cornbread. I ordered the Danish baby back ribs & my friends ordered the rainbow trout with kale salad. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. I woul6 highly reccomend and would definitely return.

Absolutely spectacular experience at 131 Main. Our servers were not only knowledgeable but extremely engaging. They truly helped to ensure our meal was top notch and unforgettable. Started off with the 131 Mainiac beverage. I love that they infused their name into the drink. It was so refreshing and such a great way to start the meal. I would highly advised starting your meal off with 2. The cornbread was delicious and you must pour the honey all over it to truly enjoy it. It's a huge portion and shareable for up to 4 without needing another order. The crab cakes were an absolutely highlight. When they say Maryland style, they aren't lying. I'm from Maryland and I approve of these crab cakes for everyone to try. The restaurant itself is huge and dimly lit for a very nice enjoyable dining experience. I can't say enough great things about this place and you'll have to try it out for yourself to truly enjoy it!

131 Main was packed at 6 on a Saturday. No tables were available when we left. Definitely get a reservation! It is located in Southpark and with all the other restaurant choices in the area, it needs to stand out. The food and service was outstanding. We were seated promptly for our reservation. My husband had the steak and smashed potatoes. He loved the steak but the potatoes had an odd flavor likely due to the olive oil they poured on top to finish. I had the Cajun Blackened Chicken pasta and it arrived piping hot and tasty and a huge portion! We also both started with the Main salad with blue cheese vinaigrette. A lovely start to the meal.

Went for lunch and had a great time. The cornbread appetizer was delicious! I also enjoyed the dirty martini. I was looking forward to the crab cakes I saw on the menu online but that wasn't on the menu so I got the fish special and it was pretty good. This was a nice place for a girls luncheon on a weekday that is classy and not too crowded.

I've always heard of this restaurant over the years but had never been. When my friend suggested it for a celebratory lunch I obliged. The hostess acknowledged the celebration on check in. I enjoyed the candlelight atmosphere, and relaxed lighting. The service was great with frequent check ins, and detailed review of the menu, and hidden menu items . We devoured the deviled eggs so quick I couldn't snap a pic. I got the chef special Halibut with crab sauce which was perfectly cooked. My friend had the Caesar salad with steak. The complimentary dessert for the celebration was a nice touch. I definitely see plenty worth trying on the menu. Will definitely be back!

Came to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a great experience! Very cozy atmosphere and the service was great! I ordered the cowboy salad and it was better than I expected. Sometime kale can be bitter and tough but, this wasn't at all! Very flavorful and filling! Will be back

I had a hard time deciding on the number here... I wish I could have rated 3.5 stars to be more accurate? Many years ago, I used to go to 131 Main in Blakeney frequently since it was my ex-friend's favorite restaurant. I remember liking the restaurant, but not quite loving it. Anyway, guess I got bored with their foods in that I haven't returned in years. Fast forward to now, and I felt that my husband would like the place, so thought I'd give this newer (?) South Park location a try. The place itself looked quite nice. Usually I prefer high ceilings, but this place with its low ceiling (yet very, very spacious!) had this cool, underground vibe. The thing that was greatly lacking in ambiance was the overhead music was playing so low that you could barely hear it. Yet you could hear every little thing said by folks around us. Somewhat created a crude ambiance...not "nice" at all! Then the menu...surprisingly very small, with only a handful of options. I could be wrong, but I thought they had an extensive menu long time ago? Anyway, they did have a few appetizing items. My husband decided on Rotisserie Chicken, and I got their Blackened Chicken Pasta. We also added this special side of the day, this sweet curry corn. We also tried their Key Lime Pie. Well, we both thought the entrees were good (though I thought my dish was a tad too thick and greasy in its cream sauce?), and the corn was especially delish...but the key lime pie was really, really bad (the only good part was the graham crackers). Some disappointments definitely included the presentation. Basically the foods looked as if they were just slapped unto the plates, with no effort made in presentation. Also, despite the hefty pricing, they didn't even offer complimentary bread. For these reasons, I can't drop 4 stars. BTW, I tried Aperol Spritz for the first time, and absolutely loved it!! This is where I wanted to go up half stars (to a 3.5 rating!). Service was very friendly, and did fine overall. However, the place was so big, the waitresses were hard to spot (vice versa), so just a tad less attentive than it could have been. Just as in the distant past, I liked, but didn't quite love the place and its foods. I remember thinking that it was very similar to Firebirds. We may try the new Firebirds in South Charlotte soon, and see how they compare. Though not blown over, we DID like the foods enough to return. Hopefully next time, the ambiance and presentation improves at least...so I can bump them up to 4 stars.

I had a very enjoyable dinner last night at 131 Main. Beautiful location nice ambiance and not too noisy even though they were very busy. Our server did a sold job not over the top but certainly delivered a nice experience. I had a light dinner with the Tuna appetizer and the Shrimp cocktail both very nicely done

I went here for a birthday dinner and it was a really pleasant experience. The spot was dimly lit which helped give that expensive vibe, but it wasn't so dark that you couldn't see each other or the menu. Our waitress Kat was absolutely kind and made our experience amazing by being down to earth and funny while giving us GREAT recommendations. We had the smoked salmon appetizer along with the cornbread and let me tell you--that cornbread will change lives. That was the best thing I had while I was there. Followed closely by my main entree: shrimp and grits. If you get this, get the shrimp blackened, it adds so much flavor and will leave your mouth watering. All in all, the only reason I took off 1 star is just because the experience itself wasn't like top notch fancy fancy, but this was still such a cool experience that I would recommend for anyone!

Maryland Style Crab Cakes & Fries
    Jazzlyn V.

Took my husband here for his birthday and it did not disappoint! Our Server, Kat, was amazing and recommend some appetizers. We decided to try the Smoke Salmon and the Cast Iron Corn Bread. The Smoked Salmon was amazing- if you like medium cooked salmon and the Cast Iron Corn Bread was AMAZING! It had a hint of spice to it yet was sweet. We then got the Maryland Crab Cakes & Southern Shrimp & Grits. My Crab cakes were full of crab so definitely a good choice. My husband's Shrimp & Grits were super flavorful. The ambiance was intimate, business causal wear, efficient, and cozy. Defintely would come back again.

    Baby back ribs

My empty plate speaks for itself, the ribs were fall off the bone and fell right into my mouth. 10/10 recommend. Our waiter was sweet and speedy and fun fact, he keeps up his protein intake by eating two plates of baby back ribs every week! We came in right around dinner time, and the place was packed. Since it's first-come, first-served seating, we grabbed a spot at the bar on the left. PS my plate is not a full rack of ribs, my friend and I split the ribs into 2!

I sincerely appreciate your willingness to try to make things right. Unfortunately, the overall experience was a complete miss. The level of service was not only below expectations--it was fundamentally lacking. Despite numerous issues throughout the evening, there was never a proactive manager check-in or meaningful attempt to address our concerns. To my understanding, Ken was the manager on duty, yet he was noticeably absent during a time when leadership was desperately needed. What was intended to be a joyful 40th birthday celebration became an unnecessarily prolonged evening spent waiting for nearly every aspect of our dining experience, all while receiving little to no communication. Delays can happen, but a lack of communication and accountability is far more difficult to overlook. One of our guests even had a drink spilled on them, and shockingly, there was no apology or acknowledgment from the staff. While some members of the bar team appeared to make an effort to assist, those attempts were inconsistent and overshadowed by what appeared to be internal confusion and a lack of coordination among the staff. From our perspective, the restaurant has significant issues with morale, communication, execution, and overall service delivery. At its core, the hospitality industry is built on service, and that was the very element missing throughout our visit. Oak Steakhouse markets itself as an elevated dining experience, and we arrived expecting that standard. Unfortunately, our experience reflected the opposite. It is difficult to reconcile the expectation of premium hospitality with service that consistently fell short, particularly when an automatic gratuity is applied regardless of the quality of the experience. Gratuity should complement exceptional service--not compensate for service that was never delivered. I rarely write feedback of this nature, but this experience warrants serious attention. Without meaningful improvements in leadership, communication, and guest service, I would be genuinely concerned about the long-term reputation and sustainability of the restaurant. This was an incredibly important evening for us, and it's disappointing that the service became the lasting memory instead of the celebration itself. I hope this feedback is received in the spirit in which it is intended: as an honest account of an experience that fell well below the standard Oak Steakhouse should represent.

While it looked updated, I was surprised by how small the stage was. The seating also felt cramped, with four people expected to share a very small table. Compared to other comedy clubs we've visited in Charlotte, the layout just didn't feel well thought out. The highlight of the night was getting to see Flame Monroe, but overall the venue itself didn't leave a lasting impression. If you're curious, it's worth visiting once to experience it for yourself, but it's probably not a place we'll return to.

We had a reservation for a Monday dinner on my husband's birthday, which happened to also be 1/2 priced wine day (glasses or bottles up to $40). Maybe it was because of the affordable wine or the World Cup on TV, but the place was surprisingly bumpin'. We came with our toddler, and the staff were super friendly with her. She really enjoyed snacking on the complimentary crackers and cheese spread. My husband and I decided to share the dinner special for 2, which is a 10 oz filet mignon, 2 lobster tails, and 4 sides for $178. A delicious splurge! For our sides, we chose a Caesar salad, cheesy fried potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes, and balsamic brussels sprouts. The steak was so tender and savory. Absolutely loved it. Definitely one of the best steaks I've had in the city! After our meal, our server brought a complimentary dessert, a layered mousse cake, served in a martini cake with a candle to celebrate my husband's birthday. Such a nice surprise, and the perfect end to a special family meal. Here's to 70+ more years of BnB in CLT!

The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming. This spot is highly popular, so I definitely recommend making a reservation in advance! You really can't go wrong with any of the food options here. They pay immense attention to the finer details, down to all of their delicious homemade salad dressings. The homemade cheese and crackers they bring out to start your meal may sound simple, but it sets a wonderfully unique tone for the rest of your night. The steaks are always cooked to absolute perfection. The filet medallions are easily my favorite because they come served with three different, delicious toppings. Plus, the steaks come topped with an onion ring, which is such a fun extra treat! For sides, the onion rings, balsamic Brussels sprouts, and the fried cheesy potatoes are true standouts. They also feature a great cocktail and wine selection--and if you are a fan of a solid, classic dirty martini, I can absolutely vouch for theirs!

I've dined at…read moreEddie V's before and have always associated it with exceptional food and impeccable service. Unfortunately, this Restaurant Week visit was nothing like the Eddie V's I remembered. I dined solo at the bar and actually had to ask for the Restaurant Week menu. I chose the upgraded lobster bisque (+$5) and Chilean sea bass (+$10), looking forward to treating myself. I rarely splurge on a nice dinner, so this was something I had been excited about all day. The food was mixed. The lobster bisque was flavorful, although the amount of lobster was surprisingly small. The mashed potatoes were outstanding, and the asparagus was very good. The Chilean sea bass was cooked well but lacked seasoning and wasn't the memorable entrée I expected. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. The restaurant was less than half full during my visit, so the extended delays were especially surprising. I waited an unusually long time for my entrée while guests who arrived after me were served first. Another surprise was that the only restroom I was directed to required going down to the basement, which was difficult with my mobility issues (I need my knee replaced). I would encourage the restaurant to make it clearer whether there is an accessible restroom available on the main floor, as this could be challenging for many guests. After another long wait for dessert, I asked to have my crème brûlée boxed because the delays meant I would now be walking back to my hotel after dark. I explained that I had intentionally walked there for exercise and had planned to walk back before dark. The response I received was simply, "Just call an Uber." That completely missed the point. I wasn't asking for transportation--I was explaining how the delays had changed my evening. To add to the confusion, I was given two desserts instead of the one I requested. While I appreciate the gesture if it was intended that way, it reinforced the feeling that no one was really listening. What disappointed me most wasn't simply the wait. It was the complete lack of service recovery. No sincere apology, no acknowledgment of how long I'd waited, and no effort to make the experience feel special. I've always thought of Eddie V's as one of Charlotte's premier dining experiences. That's exactly why this visit was so disappointing. I sincerely hope this was an isolated experience because I'd like to remember Eddie V's for the exceptional restaurant it has been in the past.

My husband and I were seated near a table that spent almost the entire evening talking down to one of the servers -- the taller guy with the tattoos down his left arm. From where we were sitting, he stayed calm, polite, and professional the whole time, even while being interrupted, snapped at, and spoken to disrespectfully over things that honestly weren't even his fault. At one point I genuinely felt embarrassed for the people at that table because of how rude and entitled they were acting in public. Meanwhile, this server kept handling everything with patience and a good attitude when most people probably would've walked away. I just wanted management to know that the server handled himself incredibly well last night, and as another customer in the room, I thought he deserved recognition instead of the treatment he got.
