I don't understand why they would serve bagels COLD , and if it's such an important thing maybe make it a clarifying question when taking in order instead of highlighting it in dark grey makes no sense. Barista also was no help why hire a vegan in a bagel shop? Again makes no sense. read more

As an alternate to Starbucks, I've been trying to support local businesses during Covid. Ya'll, this place is it. I wanted an alternate to the gingerbread latte at Starbucks and boy, did they deliver. The Fall Spice Latte hit the spot!!! Sipping on a warm latte while sitting insulated in the car while eating the egg and bacon breakfast sandwich with melted cheese is really comforting while it is friggin cold outside and there's a pandemic going on. Thank you, 1802 for serving us faithfully with your sweet staff and quality drinks and food! I also love the pastries to go with my coffee. It's drive-thru style, and they were courteous enough to wipe down the payment machine for me and pull it closer to my car so I could swipe my card. This place knows their coffee. I usually order a pour over and you can really taste the quality beans. I believe they use their Guatemala beans for their pour overs. The 1802 chocolate coconut cold brew is another winner. Best cold brew I've ever had! If coconut drinks are your thing, try their iced matcha latte with macadamia nut milk topped off with coconut milk. Delicious. Their pastries are just as good, I can eat them every day! The almond croissant and spinach and artichoke danish are my favorites and I never get tired of eating them. Lately I have been ordering their vegan chocolate chunk cookie and their vegan & gluten-free pumpkin coffee cake (with a plant-based marshmallow). I'm not vegan but I like them (especially the cookie!) and it make my tummy happy! Service is good and the owners are enjoyable to chat with. Looking forward to my next visit! read more

I had a bagel from here over three weeks ago and I can not get it out of my mind. I've had bagels from all over the U.S. and the bagels from this cafe are the best I've ever had, no doubt about it. The crispy, crunchy exterior was perfectly complemented by a soft and delicate bread. I had the onion bagel with smoked salmon and capers and it was absolutely incredible. You need to get a bagel from this cafe, your life will change. read more

This review is about the bagels. The coffee things are all fine. I ordered a toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese from here 3 times, and each time there were no scallions in the cream cheese. Scallion cream cheese costs like 50 cents more than regular cream cheese. On the 4th occasion I asked for extra scallions. After the barista did some investigation for me and spoke with the bagel people, I learned that there are no scallions in this establishment and the scallion cream cheese does not have scallions in it, but is instead flavored with scallion essence. The bagel is good, but using fake scallion flavoring in your scallion cream cheese, and advertising it as regular scallion cream cheese, seems like an unforgivable sin for any aspiring bagel business. read more

Lame. They're never open, the building itself has zero personality, as did the woman behind the register. Coffee wasn't even good and it took forever. Very nice cafe with a nice vibe and scenery, even has lil table and a small garden in the back! Parking is small so u might have to park on the street. Coffee was okay but the bagels are amazing! Must try for bagels and coffee! Im giving this place 2 stars because I was really disappointed to be given a bagel with cream cheese that was cold. The bread was tough to bite off and chew. You never know when it's someone's first time trying a place (me), so it would have been nice if I was asked if I wanted it cold or warm! Who even likes cold bagels??! read more

I love everything about this place. From the fresh and delicious pastries and coffee to the relaxing atmosphere. The 1802 tablea cold brew is divine. They used to make it with almond milk but I think this version with coconut milk is better. The smoked salmon croissant and spinach & egg biscuit are filling and delicious. They warm up the biscuits for you and are always served with a smile. Other favorites are the banana walnut muffin and gluten-free financier. They offer seasonal pastries too but I tend to stick to my usual. I should try those yummy tarts one of these days. Also, don't forget to check out the back when it gets crowded inside - outdoor seating is the best! Love their vibe and great music. Free wifi is a plus. Looking forward to my next visit! read more

so many coffee spots have cropped up in recent years..sadly, many are disappointing - attractive, minimalist, insta-able? yes, yes, and yes; kind folks, inviting atmosphere, tasty? not usually all of the above yet 1802 hits the mark on all of these..enjoyed a nice americano and some flaky treats to pair..such kind folks, and the place is so accommodating: PLENTY of indoor/outdoor seating, two--not one, but TWO--individual restrooms, a yard for creatures that cant stay still and need to roam, lots of natural light, clean wood decor..and free ample parking to boot..checks off my list quite well..experience for urself! read more

Hope this comes off as constructive criticism. If it doesn't, oh well. I'm a local, 3 blocks away. I usually always try to support small businesses + local shops and I've been meaning to try this cafe for a while now. I usually go to The Habitat for my coffee but this place is closer to me. Once I arrived (walking) there was a long line of cars that went out onto the Main Street and I was not sure how to make line since I walked there. What was I suppose to do? Make line ON a main intersection behind a car? LOL So I went inside to ask (with a mask on) they did have a sign on the door saying to make drive thru line but there was no direction for people who are walk in's. Once I went inside and asked how to make line since I walked- not sure if she was the owner but she was not cordial nor welcoming and said "just make line behind the cars" I told her how was I going to do that if the line went out ON the Main Street, literally. I asked her more specifically after "what is your system for walk ins?" She looked frazzled and just said "just wait outside the door and we'll help you once it's your turn" so I just went outside the door waited until it was my turn, while all the cars drivers that were there before me didn't look too happy that I appeared to be cutting which I did not. It was not that friendly, nor welcoming, and it was confusing for walk in's. I'll stick to The Habitat for my local coffee and their friendliness even when they are packed- thank you very much. read more

The Ethiopian Ennaria Limited roast is by far one of my favorite roasts. It has a sweet fruit taste with a hint a creamy chocolatey flavor. Christian knows his coffee so whatever flavor you are looking for. He knows which roast of his would work best and which brewing method to use. I highly recommend any of his roasts. read more
