Date: September 17, 2025 Our mom group was playing at a park in the area and decided to get some fuel first. Walked over to 1802 roasters and couldn't have asked for a better experience. It's a small store but does have two tables and some chairs for indoor seating. They do have a restroom so always a plus. The ladies were all super friendly and so kind. Complimented my babies and that's the best compliment to a mother. Ordered a matcha latte with whole milk and its sweetened with agave. Which was perfectly sweetened! Loved my whole drink! Thank you so much for a great morning pick me up!

Delicious fresh baked bagels and homemade schmear. Didn't get a chance to try their roastery options since I only came in for a bagel and some book time. Music is a bit loud for reading, but the music was pleasant! If you need a quiet shop to study or work this may be a stop and go spot but very tasty bagels. Can't wait to try more, quick and friendly service too. Wednesday at 10am is a quiet time.

1802 Café is a small coffee roaster and coffee shop based in Cypress Park, Los Angeles. They have a modest selection of coffee and tea blends (hot/cold). Similarly, they offer bagels for breakfast. From the outside, you can hardly notice 1802 because it blends well with other bldgs. However, once inside your eyes wil be transformed how modern and organized this cafe. They have limited rear parking lot. Drinks were fairly priced. Staff were cool and affable. I had a small 1802 Cold Brew x milk. And it was good; perfect on a hot afternoon. Overall, I had a good drink and experience.

Nice local coffee shop. There's space to sit and enjoy your drinks and food. Bagel shmear was a favorite! The pistachio cardamom bun was tasty. Service was good.

This is a pretty chill coffee shop in Cypress Park. It seems popular as it's always busy with people coming and going, waiting in line to order. It can be difficult to find a place to sit at the tables or along the workbench. However, I managed to find a spot both times I've visited. The stool seats at the wall workbench are surprisingly comfortable, and they have a few outlets to plug in your devices. I've enjoyed their espresso tonic. They also have a seasonal espresso cola (cola soda instead of tonic water) that I plan on trying. It's fun to peruse their creative drink menu! It seems they no longer offer pastries, but have bagels instead. I tried their calamansi bagel. The cream cheese was yummy; the bagel was tougher or chewier than what I prefer. Overall, a reliable place for coffee and bagels while reading, getting some work done, or catching up with friends. The parking lot has limited spaces and is a bit awkwardly configured in my experience, but there's also street parking.

Plenty of parking, plenty of seating both inside and outside. There is a door on the side of the building but that is not the entrance! The actual entry door is on the corner by the street. Their menu had so many options for drinks whether you like coffee or not. Their bagel options were also plentiful. They had an interesting ube cream cheese which sounded so good. I got the seasonal black sesame latte which was amazing and I highly recommend. It comes standard with some oat milk which was nice! I also got the onion bagel with plain cream cheese. The bagel was not the best because the onion part fell EVERYWHERE and cream cheese amount wasn't the best. The only think that was kinda off was the service. The people who work there seemed a little displeased with everything. Even the older man that had ordered after me got a not so happy attitude from the barista. For people with anxiety: park in their lot which you can get in through cypress avenue. The entry for the cafe is on the north west corner of the building. Walk over to the counter and order what you want, Apple Pay is available. They will call your name when your order is ready, you can pickup at the counter that's around the right side of the order counter.

Situated in a very limited strip of new shops of a gentrified street in Cypress Park, this café is an interesting aspect of the changing face of this area. I grew up around the corner, and for the most part it's still a working class Latino community, with some younger faces who have moved in and bought property in the area. That being said, their coffee is pretty decent. I ordered a spice chai latte iced and tasted pretty much like how a latte would taste. Bagels were very good but I'm not sure I would drive all the way back for it specifically. I felt a little judged when I had stepped in. In fact, it took the barista about a couple of seconds after I had spoken to her in English for her to greet me. And I only spoke to her because she had been staring straight at me as I stood in front of the counter. No one else was in line at the time. Parking is limited, and I would've preferred just to park on the street rather than potentially get my car scratched from how tight the spots could be .

Needed to get some work done and saw this place with lots of seating. It was clean, quiet, and spacious when I went on a Thursday afternoon. I sat at the long bar by the window and enjoyed the natural sunlight. Baristas are nice. I saw one had to unfortunately deal with a rude customer but she was very professional about it. I ordered their 1802 coldbrew and it was tasty and very strong lol it may have looked like I was working but I was secretly bouncing off the walls. I appreciated that I was able to work for about 3 hours without being bothered. I'll definitely become a regular!

What continues to stand out is the remarkable consistency. Every cortado has been prepared with precision, from the espresso extraction and milk texture to the serving temperature and overall balance. The body stays cohesive throughout the entire drink, allowing the flavors to remain expressive from start to finish. It's the kind of consistency that's difficult to achieve and even harder to maintain, which is why every visit is just as enjoyable as the last. More than just serving exceptional coffee, Endorffeine has become my place of peace. Sitting at the bar with a cortado in hand and watching Jack work is where I feel most at ease. There's something calming about watching someone so dedicated to their craft. His passion and attention to detail are immediately apparent, and it's rare to see someone so committed to quality that they're willing to remake a drink as many times as necessary until it meets their own standards. Highly sophisticated and quality driven, Loquat offers exceptional coffee in every cup. The interior is minimal and clean, though seating space is very limited, as the space is quite small. There is a small counter that seats 4 people and a bench seat along the window that fits maybe 3 more? There are outdoor patio seats that can fit up to 3-4 small groups. The guest capacity can quickly get full. Plus, the shop is usually very busy in the AM. You can expect it to be emptier in the noon though. What I love about this shop can be a bit of bias. I enjoy light roast, single origin coffee, and this place is a perfect spot for it. Loquat usually has at least one or two rare coffee offering like Gesha and processing such as anaerobic fermentation. I always like the presentation of the drinks that are being served, and Loquat has one of the exceptional ones for their espresso. It comes in a mini chilled glass and a 'bougie' tiny spoon. Their signature beverage is the Mascarpone Latte, which is a shot of espresso with muscovado milk, topped with a thick, cloud of house made mascarpone cheese foam. Delicious! As for the parking, it is all street and neighborhood parking. The shop is situated on the corner of the Main Street and a neighborhood road. Usually, you would probably have to expect a bit of distance when looking for parking. It gets little challenging. But the place around it isn't nearly as crowded. With essentially identical products, I evaluate chains like Colombe and Starbucks by how well they integrate with a local community and how busy it is. More people coming and going, more lingering, and more laughter and conversation overheard is what I like to see. This Colombe location fit the bill perfectly, filled to the brim with people were taking in the most of a humid day Frogtown. The pop-up is easy to find, it's outside facing into the parking lot, and they had a cute A-frame sign out by the street side. There was no line, and I ordered and sat down at one of the tables out front. The service was so warm, and I believe the shop is owned and operated by one man on his own! He was an absolute delight to meet, and he brought my matcha latte to me at the table when it was prepared. He suggested I get the cream top on it, and boy was that the perfect recommendation. I would say I'm a little bit of a matcha fiend... I think I got a matcha latte at 3 different places this day... and this one far surpassed the others. I think it was one of the best matcha lattes I have ever drank to-date. It was perfectly green, the matcha quality was phenomenal, both taste and look-wise. The texture was just right, perfectly creamy with barely any grittiness.
