At this point I've had the wings, fried rice and pho...not disappointed ever. Good food. Good service.

I used to work at Northeastern Illinois and was thrilled when this place opened way back. It was my first experience with banh mi and had me hooked. I went back last week, more than 6 years later, and it was even better than I remembered. I had one of the pork banh mi sandwiches. It was so flavorful and the bread was a perfect combo of soft and crusty. Just so good. I also brought home an order of the spicy chicken-fried rice. So so so much flavor. It was only slightly spicy, but I was in the mood for that, so it was perfect. I also had a milk tea with boba, which was one of the best I've had in a very long time. Food is great here. Originally popped in here for their wings and to try the Spam Masubi. Loved both things. One week we tried their Pho Ga, and the broth is so delicious! Now we order from here a lot. Can't recommend the Spam Masubi enough. read more

I am giving 4 stars to this place even though I left quite happy. The reason I did that is because I honestly think they have room to improve even further. I tried the Street Noodles with chicken and beef. A classic stir fry noodles with meet and vegetables, superb taste, spiciness, crunch. The meet lack a bit of tenderness that would sugest that it maybe stayed precooked a bit to long. The pho, even though plentiful in meat and noodles, was off on the overpowering saltiness that would suggest MSG broth. Banh Mi, on the other hand, out of this world! The absolute must in this place. I was pressured into coming here for lunch. Usually when that happens I tend to forget to inform restaurants about my allergies. I placed an order and when I received it, I realized it had eggs in it. I was going to eat the cost knowing it was my fault. My friend informed the staff of my allergies and instead of charging me for another order, they were kind enough to replace my order without hesitation. This place is a good spot to come if your looking for a quick bite to eat. The place is clean and it's right in front of North Park University. I am so extremely disappointed. Beware, you are at the mercy of this restaurant versus them working for you. I am home sick, placed my first ever order through Grubhub. Unfortunately the numbers of my house transpired. Driver brought the food back to the restaurant. Biggest shock came talking on the phone with the restaurant staff. Because my address was 3.5 miles away and they only deliver within 3 miles there was no flexibility to help and fix it. Unheard of in the world of competition and great service strive. I was told I can come and get the food. I am home, sick and have no car. THAT IS WHYI chose delivery. So I just paid $53 including tip they charged me for. New eateries and I seem to not be working out this Summer. I know how people like to give a newly opened business a chance to work out their kinks, but there are some things I feel should be already worked out before they decide to open their doors to the public. When I entered, there were a lot of people behind the counter, but only two that seemed really enthusiastic about greeting customers. They offered sandwich samples, and one gave me some suggestions when it looked like I couldn't decide what to get. Their happiness seemed infectious, but the others must have gotten a happiness vaccine. Nevermind them, I'll order from the happys! So, I do. I got the BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Shrimp Spring Rolls, and a Watermelon Smoothie. My order came out to $14.71. I gave the person ringing me up $20.71. I got $5.35 back. Wait, what? At first, I thought I was getting too much back since I was receiving coins, but after I sat down, I realize I was shorted $.65. Ok, not going to trip. I go set up my little temporary area with laptop and such (yes, free wifi). I was told the passcode for the wifi was the same as the Network name. Mind you, the 'A' and 'B' are capitalized in the name. When it didn't work, I go to the counter to inform them of this and they just kept repeating to me that it was the same name. They kept spelling it out like I don't know how to frickin spell 'Asian' and 'Brothers' with one of them starting to get snappy. It's when I finally asked the snappy one if it was all lowercase that I was able to stop the madness. My food is called and I'm ready to dig in. The fried rice is a lot bigger than you would expect, I had to take 1/3 of it home. It had a light flavor without grease. The amount of pork was just enough. Now, with the Spring Rolls... the menu said it came with 3. While the 2 I received were quite sizeable, it didn't reflect the amount printed on the menu. That's not a good thing. The wrapper they use is like a flat, really thin noodle. Comparing it to the Spring Rolls I've had from Saigon Sisters (ha, ha, comparing Saigon Sisters to 2 Asian Brothers), I like the ones from 2AB much better. The noodle wrapper adds to the flavors inside. My smoothie was of the powdered variety. I prefer fresh fruit ones and now know I need to make sure they are that before ordering one. I didn't care too much for this. I'll admit, the whole religious background of the 2 guys opening the place almost put me off to going. But, I'm happy I ignored it and still went to try it out. The dining room is spacious and clean, with decent music being played. Free wifi always helps as well. They need to work on the attitudes of a couple of the younger staff members, and make sure people working the registers are counting money they are receiving properly. Also, need to make sure they are giving people what they are promising on the menu. In total, I liked my food and would want to return. But, after they work out their kinks some more. read more

After my favorite Banh Mi place (Little Saigon Baguette) closed a couple of years ago, nothing I've tried has come close. Then comes 2 Asian Brothers. Their BBQ pork Banh Mi was AMAZING. You should go early since they do run out closer to the end of the day. It was a tad too spicy for my husband (he thought it overpowered the char siu taste), but I enjoyed it a lot. We last visited in November 2019. Looking forward to coming here again when the pandemic is under control -- wish they were not so far away! read more

Spam Mitsubi, Say no more. I love it, and it is not easy to find. The street noodles are good too, as is the chicken/ vegetable soup. The pot stickers were tough and dry, so I will skip that in the future. I order through Grubhub and delivery has always been fast and accurate. I plan on trying other things in the future, especially the bahn mi sandwiches, but I will always get an order of Spam Mitsubi. Makes me feel happy, makes me feel fine. read more

My second time ordering from this restaurant and I have to say I was very disappointed in the food. The sandwiches used to be very tasty and toasted. Now they just send out anything. I had an order of Asian wings and the sauce had little to no flavor at all, from an Asian restaurant I would expect nice crispy authentic wings. But they were just soggy and very tasteless. I've only dined in once before Covid-19 and the service was nice and friendly. And I've had takeout from here at least another five times. Their food is consistent and pretty good. The broth for their beef pho is good and I can tell it's not from some season packet that some places use instead of putting in the time and effort to make the broth from scratch. I'm not going to say it's the best I've had but it's solid. Their street noodles is seriously what you would get from streets carts in many different parts in Asia. I've had street noodles like this in Hong Kong and Guangzhou. It's very much a comfort food and nothing gourmet. But it's so satisfying to stuff your face with it. Their springs rolls are nothing special but nothing bad either. I also like their Asian wings. The flavor is very good without being very saucy. It's also nice that their menu has a little of something for everyone. But one annoying thing is their website for ordering was down a couple of times I tried to use it. The largest banh mi I've found in the Chicagoland area. Can someone sing the song $4.50 footlong? oh wait, that's another chain of a similar type of deal... The bread simply is the best - fresh, a beautiful texture of chewy with a bit of crust. The filling is more mayo-y than others and I always prefer mine to have more cilantro and pickled veggies, might have to ask for extra of it. The folks who work there are super nice. There was a bubble tea special and since it's been so hot out and could use a refreshing drink as a post tennis workout quench, I told the guy at the counter just make me whatever and I will drink it. He fixed me up a concoction of honey dew + apple with minty jelly - suggesting I not get milk tea since it's too hot out. The bubble tea (really there weren't any bubbly tapioca in mine) was a bit sweet for my taste, but the thoughtfulness and service is rare in the fast food industry and will return again another day. read more

My go-to is the BBQ pork banh mi, which at $6.25 is double what I'm used to paying in Southern California but it's reasonably priced for Chicagoland. After trying more of the menu items (only have the chicken wings left) I would have to say BBQ pork Bahn Mi and the combo street noodles would be my go tos. I had high expectations for the spring rolls but they really disappointed, nothing special. They were actually bland without the sauces. The rice is still bland, a pass for me unless I'm really, really craving. After having noodle salads at different places, I've concluded this is... ok... better than the rice and spring rolls for sure. I honestly enjoy the egg rolls here. I have to start by being honest about the one thing that might annoy some people: the owners not only don't hide their religion, they put it right out their for everyone to see. The wall decor isn't creepy crucifix-style, but there was a bible verse on the wall, and a drawing of two stick guys praying on the opposite wall. Fortunately, that's a far as it goes- a mention, a nod, but no evangelizing. No one will send you home with a tract, and no one will preach at you. Oh, and the food is solid, the prices are reasonable, and the space is clean. This was my first bubble tea experience, and I liked it enough that I plan to go back and try other flavors. Adding on to this review 6 years later.... The chicken curry is really good. Soupier than most curries, but spicy, with a hint of coconut and cinnamon. Definitely recommend it as a comfortable cold-weather food. The cold noodle salad is a nice blend of textures. The noodles are rice noodles, and I had it with the barbecued pork, which was very flavorful. The spring rolls also have a nice balance of flavors, and hold together well when you bite into them. I just opened an office for my business just a couple of blocks away on Foster Ave. I was sitting in the office debating what to do for lunch. Then I remembered I have seen this place a few times and researched them online. The ended up going here and I am glad I did. I got the shredded chicken sandwich and it was amazing. By far of my my favorite sandwiches I ever had. I told my wife we have to go again in the next couple of days for her to try it as well. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star review is because I did the research of the menu before I went in and I knew what I wanted. It worked out perfectly for me. The menu they have in the the store does not have any descriptions about what is in the sandwich. It is such an easy fix I am surprised they did not already. I've been going here since 2011-2018. I first found about this spot by attending North Park, they give student discounts you just have to show them your id. I love their fried rice and I have tried their boba, and wings! All pretty good, the only thing I was not much of a fan was their spam musubi. Best fried rice around! It may seem pricey but it comes in generous portions, and serves multiple different Asian dishes.

Wasn't my favorite, if you guys have time for a drive--try Buncha Hanoi, Inc. it will not disappoint and there is a cool bakery next door for dessert :) But this was a no for me, the wings and rice would be the only + here. read more
