Came here for brunch Sunday. Despite the busy time, we were seated pretty immediately which was nice. Granted the place is pretty large. The inside is cute and I liked the decor. They had some fun designs on the walls and decorated hanging umbrellas. It was a little loud so hard to hear but can't really help that when there are a lot of people. When we looked at the menu we were a little overwhelmed with all the choices! Definitely a very wide selection of options. We got the tiramisu French toast and the Chef Katsu burger. I really liked the French toast! For a dessert flavored French toast it was not overbearingly sweet which I appreciated and the French toast was not soggy despite the sauce. The burger was good. Nothing super special but nothing bad to say about it. Be warned there is wasabi in the burger which caught me by surprise. Not a huge fan of wasabi. My husband and I made reservations days in advance for a Saturday brunch. We got there right on time and we're told it would be just a few minutes. 20 minutes later after seeing many other people being seated, I went up to to see what the delay was and was met with "there were lots of other people before you." Umm that's the point of making a reservation, to be given priority. She gave me a blank stare. 15 minutes later we were seated right by the kitchen entrance. I came to have a late brunch with my friend on a Wednesday and it wasn't busy at all, which meant plenty of street parking and no waiting on a table. They have their "patio" option or inside. This place has the cutest/girly decor! Definitely a go-to for a ladies brunch date! The service was great and so was the food. They had a large menu with tons of unique French toast options. I was so indecisive because everything sounded so delicious. I ended up getting the cheesy scrambled eggs on pasta, which was so rich. I also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, which I highly recommend! My friend ordered the steak salad which was also very tasty, but the steak was a bit chewy. And to end our feast we ordered the banana bread pudding dessert; it was so sweet with a savory syrup drizzled on top. I'll have to come back and try out the drinks! read more

Unfortunately, I parked across the street and there's no getting across Washington Blvd. It was a struggle. Can restaurants request crosswalks? I really hope that's a thing and they do that soon. None of this paragraph is being held against 26 Beach. Just a heads up. We had a reservation, but that didn't stop us from waiting basically a full hour. It was hot, but there was water provided. (Although it ran out & wasn't refilled.) They were waiting for a group to move so we could be seated but this group never left. We were finally seated in the cutest patio. Everything was very feminine and just lovely. The decor here is beautiful. The waiter's voice was much too low. It was so hard to hear him. I wish he spoke louder. Nonetheless, the service was good, slow at times, but good. The food was AMAZING. Everything was stellar. The menu was daunting because there's way too much on there, but apparently they're cooking their asses off in that kitchen. And the drinks too! I liked it a lot, but the one star off is for the waiting in the beginning and then the long wait to get our check at the end. I hate too much waiting. They were nice enough to hold my table when I had a large group reservation at 11am and a number of people in my party were running late. I didn't like that they didn't allow us to sit until the entire party was here. I get that it's standard for restaurants to do this, but for a place that's crowded and has long wait times, it would actually move the process along if you sat the party down when the majority of the party was here. When I tried to get us seated and I had one person in the process of parking, they told me to inform them when everybody was actually here at the door. When I had everybody and finally could check in, I then had to wait another few minutes because the table wasn't ready. That was the reason I tried to check in BEFORE! That made me super annoyed. The service was fine and waitstaff is helpful given the extensive menu. Food was good, but overwhelming imo. The #19 stuffed french toast was insanely huge with a side of fries. I thought the sausage patty was a little too salty and I didn't want to drown it in syrup just to offset it. The Churro french toast was super sweet. I was only able to eat a little bit of it. Everything was filling and other people enjoyed their meals. I would come back to try their burgers but with a smaller group and an earlier reservation. Prices weren't over the top, but also a bit steeper for standard brunch items. read more

OMG!!!! This is the freakin cutest place EVER! Pulling up to 26 Beach is not very exciting, but on man will that change once you enter! It starts right from when you walk in the door. The girly/ladylike feels were running all through me at 26 Beach. There was about a 20 minute wait and some people sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather. My friend and I on the other hand were much smarter and grabbed empty seats and the posh bar they have. The best decision ever. The bartender was so friendly and inviting! He allowed us to ask questions and video tape his talent (yes talent). He was so meticulous about what he did. I couldn't wait to order from him! We then got called to our table and I didn't want to leave lol. When we were seated, I couldn't spot starring at everything around me! I don't know what I loved more! The staff, umbrella seating, bartender, drinks or locals that made me feel like I was home! Oh yeah the food was awesome also lol. I got what I believe was called the three way. Eggs, bacon and home fries. The only disappointment I had was not being able to order any type of bread/biscuit item separately. Such a pleasant surprise dining at this restaurant. First off I loved the eclectic decor. Such a cute place! Very welcoming. I was also very impressed with their menu, which listed dishes that you would not see on menus at other restaurants. I had the roasted vegetable lasagna which was delicious. 5/5 service - the server was friendly and made sure to refill our drinks and check on us a couple times while we were there 4/5 food- Ceviche was nice- had snapper which was cooked- the tomato sauce was salty and a little sweet which I liked :) and felt light. But it isn't the typical simple clear-like dressing that most ceviche has. Also had the sautéed salmon salad and it was very flavorful. The salmon was cooked perfectly - nice and tender without any signs of being raw. Interesting interior decorations (didn't seem to match the name of the restaurant), at least in the patio. One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I don't know if it was because I was a solo diner or carrying a backpack with me...I dont know. I was promptly greeted and sat down about 10:40 am after having just flown in. And then was forgotten about. 3 other tables were sat down after me, their orders taken before me. Finally was brought water and thankfully was given a carafe of it because if I had to rely on the staff to refill it it never would've happened. I ordered the cali roll burger with fries. It was delicious(its the reason they got an extra star) although it was overcooked. I ordered it medium and it came well done. My fries also had a hair in them. Not mine as mine is dyed purple and blue and this was blonde. Again, no server stopped by to check on me, I tried flagging down 2 and no one looked my way. Was not checked up on the entire meal, check was dropped off and they immediately walked away-not even asking how it was or if I needed anything else. No one gave me the time of day in this place. It wasnt even busy. I would say was overstaffed for the amount of people there...so not sure why I was treated so rudely. I paid in cash , still left a tip, and immediately left. I had wanted to try 26 Beach for a long time, because of the positive reviews and the salivating brunch menu, but without a reservation the wait times were always too much to bare. The restaurant itself is cute on the inside, with vintage fixtures, art, and bright pops of color. I had no trouble finding parking on the street, but could see it being difficult on a busy weekend. I recently made my way to 26 Beach for lunch and was unfortunately disappointed. I can't speak for my entire party, but the few dishes I tried just weren't hits. I ordered the chimichurri skirt steak salad. When asked how I wanted the meat cooked, I requested medium rare. The steak I received was overdone and extremely chewy to the point of not being able to swallow it. The burgers looked tasty, but ultimately fell short of expectations as well. All-in-all this meal was disappointing and definitely not worth the price. read more

Incredible place for brunch. My boyfriend and I stopped by at prime time for brunch and the wait was over 40 minutes! BUT they explained that there was immediate seating for an outside table if we were interested so with the combination of being extremely hungry and disliking to wait we of course said yes. The experience was great; as good as it gets really. Seating was quick, and the food was even quicker. It wasn't the food was quick but cold because it was prepared long before it was order either the food was hot and delicious. Everything came in the right order and in a timely manner. My friend suggested I enjoy their French toast experience, even though I have never really been a fan of that breakfast staple. I selected "The Stuffed One," in which the chef prepares two large pieces of French toast jammed with cream cheese & strawberry preserves, topped with freshly sliced strawberries, and neatly coated with a delicious maple syrup ($12). And if I could aptly describe the level of awesomeness I experienced when I inhaled my entire meal, I would. Just note I was sad when my fork no longer had any more targets left on the plate. We LOVE 26 Beach and go there for many special celebrations. I have always had great experiences there and love the friendly staff. For over 13 years we have gone for Easter brunch and Andy and the staff always make it so special. Even before the tradition of brunch I used to host Rapid Dating events there when it first opened and it is a fabulous date night place. The food is delicious and they have the most unique combinations of heathy and organic food and some creative french toast, burger combinations and unique menu items for everyone's taste that are unsurpassed. We always bring people from out of town and they rave about it. The new decor is elegant and uplifting. Thanks again for a memorable experience. You'll love it read more

1st time eating here and I was really disappointed! Let me start by saying that they were not organized and had very bad customer service. They don't seem to know how to handle large crowds. The thing that killed me though was the wind and rain out side was horrible and it was leaking all over us in the restaurant and every table against the wall. Everyone was making comments and complaining and the staff did NOTHING!! Didn't even acknowledge the fact that we were getting soaked along with our food! One of the windows fell out and hit a young lady and they just continued on serving her table food! No one asked if she was ok or even offered to move them tables! I hope she sues that place!!
