No wait, just walked in were seated on the spot. The patio was perfect for brunch & today's warm. Hard to decide, the menu is extensive, amazingly none of us ordered their french toasts-which I was told they're known for (next time I guess). **Veggie-omelette-my gf ordered it and said it was really good, either that or she was famished. She preferred hers w/o cheese snd broccoli. **26 Beach Salad w/ side of salmon-best chopped salad I've ever had and it was a very generous portion, could have fed 3 people but i was hungry & hubby nibbled on it too Beautifully presented, had mine w/ bleu cheese on the side w/ balsamic vinaigrette--could have been tangier for my taste but it was scrumptious, yup & lots of chewing involved. Love the way everything married together, the way it's chopped, tasted & presented. Salmon was seasoned well & cooked to perfection as well, savored every bite. **Garlic Shrimp Salad-hubby ordered it, he said it was "good" but not as plentiful like my portion. Perfect oxymoron...shrimp were huge and plump, juicy; lettuce was fresh & crisp. *Coffee-not disappointing, not the best but good. **Service-attentive, efficient, noticed the busboy was very helpful & thoughtful in assisting the server. Both did a wonderful job in coordinating to make the experience as wonderful as possible. I plan to return & try other dishes especially when my diet will allow me to enjoy at least half a french toast. Side notes: Restroom is single occupancy (for each) only. Our Lyft driver yesterday told us about this MdR gem and we decided to try it for Mother's Day brunch. Jesus was our server and took great care of us. The menu offers 13 different takes on French Toast and a number of dishes involving both eggs and pasta. My wife tried the Very Berry French Toast which came loaded with fresh berries and some hot chocolate sauce to drizzle over the top. My Greek scramble incorporated penne pasta which at first glance on the menu I thought "Pasta & Eggs...?" But decided to try it and was glad I did! Eggcellant decision! We sat in the patio area which was adorned with boujee items reminiscent of Breakfast at Tiffany's and other boujee bling bling. The interior of the restaurant has a mixture of patterns and some flamingo wall paper. Although I would not think of decorating my house that way, it made for an interesting atmosphere to dine in. 26 Beach is in a fun location. While you wait for your reservation you can take a short walk to the end of the street and you are at the beach. The place is so cute. There is indoor and semi outdoor seating. They have a full bar and quite a bar scene on the weekends. The food is great. We love going there for brunch and dinner. They have great fish, get the salmon or sea bass. You will love it. They also have wonderful deserts. Have fun. read more

Apparently everyone has been to 26 Beach already. That's ok, I was just glad that I was invited for a friend's social gathering. The restaurant had a great vibe. The patio seating seemed to be popular, but inside of the restaurant was also cute. Street parking only, good luck. Over here they had some speciality items such as sushi burger, the royales, etc.. We decided to go with crab Royal and chorizo royal. We also got rainbow sherbet float and moscato lemonade for our morning booze. Super fun and delicious. The crab royal was very good. It was packed with snow crab, bacon, avocado, onions, and cheddar cheese. Big portion and tasty. Chorizo on the other hand... We didn't care for it. Overall I thought it was decent. I've never tried Japanese fusion diner food and now I know. With so many items on the menu, I would have to come back to try the sushi burger next time. read more

The cute and eclectic decor makes this a fun spot to have a boozy brunch and that's just what we did. The menu is HUGE so it was pretty hard to make a decision and I'm not sure the table as a whole made the right one. I got the #19 french toast with sweet potato fries and that was pretty good but I would have to advise against the Baja Benedict which came out looking and tasting like a soupy mess. All the drinks (and we did try a lot) were fantastic and our service was great. I will definitely be back so I can work my way through the rest of the menu. read more

They have a large menu with many options and I have tried multiple items and they are all delicious. I like the garden room on the side. My only complaint is that they do not give refills on their lemonade as most places do read more

Ambiance 3/5: the iconic pink establishment in the area, street parking only, the inside dining area are split into two sessions from the entrance, to the left the extended covered patio, to the right the original dining room, kitchen and restroom, the restroom was so messy inside, trash overflew the bin and fell off on floor, and right outside both restrooms connecting to kitchen through the hallway where all food passing by, there are also few tables setup with umbrella or cover outside the front door Service 1/5: the usher was nice to record name for tables, said about twenty minutes waiting, and it turned out thirty minutes, not too bad at that moment, however, the servers were way too slow, it took so long to place the order after being seated, and suddenly they ran out crab, so two items I wanted to order were not available, the waitress told me those just ran out ten minutes ago, so if I was seated ten minutes earlier or if the waitress came to serve the table ten minutes earlier, I could have had the Chef Katsu's Original California Roll Hamburger and Crab Royal as I planned all the way here, it's only around mid of the day, the kitchen was already so underprepared, anyway just calling it such a bad luck, that's not the worst part yet, the waitress might had been overwhelmed, so she's having attitude and very impatient somehow, I had to order something else not really interested in, if the food turned out to be great, I would had been satisfied, however the recommended substitute was meh, plus the extra charge showed up surprisingly on the bill, not informed at the time placing the order until saw the bill, anyway common mistake and confusion from their menu or I should have had asked first, after the food was served, the waitress stopped by twice to check on the table unnecessarily and kinda disturbing, when not yet started the food how would I know how was it, I wish she could have taken care of the table much earlier by the time to place the order instead of letting the starving guests sitting there so long and just waiting, then there would be much higher chance for me to get what I really wanted, btw, Tiramisu is no longer on their menu, the third item I tried to get but not available, though it's still listed under popular dishes on the yelp page Food 2/5: scan the bar code to review the menu online, different sessions to click on Yuki's Spicy Tuna Hamburger - *** Spicy tuna, sushi ginger, nori, tomato, cucumber, wasabi mayo, added avocado, that's the suggestion from waitress to make it like the Katsu, overall mixed flavors, the ground beef patty was served cold and so dry, I can't say if the original Katsu would be better, however, just based on the substitute, not worth trying Sweet Potato Fries - **** crispy, hard to believe this is the only thing I like here, recommend Lemon Ricotta French Toast - ** Challah French Toast with honey lemon ricotta, fresh blueberries, and raspberry coulis, the ricotta itself was great, however, the bread wasn't well dipped into eggs, unevenly prepared, tasted solely like overnight leftover and the bread texture was so rubbery and hard to chew, probably one of the worst french toast I've ever had Price 3/5: moderate portions but poor food quality and ingredients, about $25 per person, tipped less than 15% this time, really not satisfied with either the service or the food here With firsthand dining experience at more than one thousand of restaurants all over the places, I know clearly what's the reasonable expectation for a truly four-star rated restaurant, no doubt this place has been overrated, maybe they were great long time ago, but now I'm wondering once the merchant became so popular they no longer care about their reputation as much. The food was solid, but nothing to write home about. I ordered the stuffed French toast, which had me excited, right up until the point that the plate arrived at my table and I realized that it was just a breakfast sandwich with French Toast as the bread. Which left me wishing I would have explored another menu option. Price to value wasn't really there for me. Disappointed that there weren't any bottomless options or even pitchers available for this to be a brunch spot. I will say that this location is very picturesque if you are so inclined to "do it for the gram" you can definitely leave with a few good pictures. read more

26 Beach is such a cute restaurant. The decor is really fun and trendy. My mom took me here for brunch on my birthday, which was on a Tuesday, so it was quick and easy to be seated. We ordered from the Breakfast Happy Hour menu (offered M-F 8-11am) and I got the breakfast sandwich with tater tots with no avocado and it was delicious. The bread was soft and thick, the bacon was perfectly cooked and the tater tots were hot and crunchy. I also ordered bottomless frose which was a frozen bellini. It was strong and tasty. Our waitress was friendly and offered to add a birthday candle to the bread pudding we ordered for dessert. A+ for 26 Beach. It looked like there was also a private room available for groups. Food: the lemon ricotta French toast was one of the dishes mentioned the most and decided to go for it. It was soooo good! I got lucky and was able to get 1 of 4 seats at the bar as soon as I walked in. Parking: there's a small, narrow alley way right before the restaurant that takes you to a small back lot. This was of course full but it takes you to a residential street behind the restaurant and I found parking right away with just a short walk. Staff: everyone was so nice and attentive. The burgers here lived up to the hype, the interior very cute and unique. It only gets four stars, however, because of the lackluster service quality. We arrived here and noticed multiple unused tables. Additionally, there was no host in sight. We ended up having to wait a good several minutes before even getting a host to come to the front. When they finally added us to the list, we had to wait another half hour or so before we were seated, despite seeing multiple tables that were empty. We weren't the only ones frustrated, as we noticed a few other people complaining to the host about the wait times and not being seated. Once seated, the service continued to disappoint. It was slow and inefficient. We finally had our order taken after sitting for several minutes, and then it took a similarly long period of time to have the food brought out to us. The experience did finally improve after we received our food, as the food itself was actually very appetizing and delicious. I ordered a burger, which I enjoyed thoroughly. Definitely on my list for favorite burgers that I've ever had now. I also found the cranberry mimosa to be a pleasure, and I liked the green smoothie that my boyfriend ordered as well! The interior was also very cute! It had a bit of an eclectic and unique vibe to it, with a dining area that had comfortable booths, and another area that was very colorfully decorated and aesthetic! Very fun and cute! While I was certainly very pleased with the food itself here, I was very frustrated with my service experience. It really put me off. Amazing ambiance and very chic! There is a patio for a cooler day as well as seating indoors, with art that will start conversations. Our waitress was very attentive. This restaurant is adorable! You can't miss it driving by because of the big pink awning. Parking is pretty plentiful on Washington and there's a tiny lot you can squeeze between two buildings to get to and if you're lucky you can snag a spot. On the weekends there's probably a wait but it's so worth it. We waited 25 minutes on a Sunday around noon with no res, group of 4. Not bad. The patio is so cute with classic girly tea garden decor and inside is more eclectic with bold colors and patterns. We sat outside and ordered 3 bacon bloody Mary's and 1 michelada and they are soooo good! Great flavor and the toppings are perfect, pickled asparagus, celery, olives, cucumber and bacon! Yes please! They said they use a local mix called Bloody Gerry for their bloodys and miches so I'll be grabbing a bottle of that at Ralph's or Gelsons to make these at home. The michelada was spicy, citrusy and refreshing. We all changed our minds from brunch to the burgers when we saw them come out. We opted to go with their famous California Roll Burger and it was delicious! The burger was perfectly cooked medium/medium rare and seasoned well, the cucumber salad slaw had great flavor and good crunch and the crab was so decadent! It doesn't sound like it world work on a burger but all 4 of us agreed it was delicious. 3 California burgers and 1 Chicken Katsu. They were delicious! Came here for my birthday brunch, first time trying the place and I'm in love. Well at least my stomach was. The staff was so nice to accommodate my friend and I. I called to put my name down, and the manager was so sweet to accommodate even though they don't take reservations. We then asked to sit in their patio and they were so nice to accommodate. I'm usually not extra, but I wanted to make the day a little extra special and they sure did. The entire experience of this place was 5 stars!! The decor is so fun, lively and pretty to look at! The menu has a fun, thrilling and oh was it so tasty! Our stomachs weren't big enough to try everything, but we did try the Apple Cinnamon French Toast and the Croissant Breakfast Sandwich. They were so tasty!!! I can't wait to go back to try everything else on the menu, the names are fun, the dishes are daring but sound oh so good. We made a reservation on a Saturday morning but we had to wait another 30min before we were seated. We were able to find street parking. It is a cute little restaurant but some of the decor and seating is wearing out a little. But it is very cutesy. They charge an extra $3 for split orders. This place has some of the best gourmet burgers I've ever tasted. I had the Chef Katsu's Original Cali Roll Burger and I would never think that the flavors blended so well together. It was the perfect combination of the sushi ingredients and the meat. I would highly recommend this. We also got the Eel Burger and it was also good. It was very juicy and the flavors was more of a savory sweet. The Tuna Roll Burger was also good, but I would recommend the other burgers. The Salmon Royale and the Katsu Curry were also good.
