We came here with out tour group. It's away from down town Santa Fe. We were seated in a private area. It turns out to very notify: either from our mates or the pour sound management. We went to the bar for pre dinner drinks. We stayed at the bar for a cocktail. We were happy eat at the bar. We ordered an appetizer that didn't get severed - new customers came and got a full meal. Queso is literally premade and we should have gotten it in minutes. We were forgotren and then later asked if we needed to order. We did want to order an entree that came out after we had to ask for their premade food a 2nd time. And the women next to us got 2 full meals. But queso is an impassibility. I'm sitting next to a ton of tables with trash on them. I understand where if there was a rush we had to wait. When we lef5 after paying and tipping) there was huge wait. As we sat there our order suddenly came out. Still don't have the appetizer (again just queso so it dumping cheese in a bowl) came out. We told her we cancelled our orders. She took the food away. There are so many good restaurants in Santa Fe I'm unsure why anyone would come here. It's the second time there has been terrible service, one was catering one was done in. Save your money. There's no good way to say this. My family and I were hoping for an exciting evening with delicious food, we had researched all day to find the most amazing dinner place and we landed on this beautiful restaurant--the most twisted backstabbing service was yet to fall upon us. It started okay, there was a young man to greet us at the front desk who gave us our menus and that was the only human interaction we had. As soon as we were seated we were ready and had a glorious shine in all of our faces--just waiting to order some scrumptious steak. Little did we know there would be no server to come to our table. My family was getting increasingly antsy and worried because there was no one coming to check on us--let alone take our orders. I took a look around the huge luxurious dining room and see no one with food except one table. As we were getting ready to make the decision to leave my family and I witnessed another couple with a little girl leaving the restaurant-- utensils wrapped and stomachs looking hungry. After we had seen this scene we were furious, as a family with a child shouldn't be left hungry. What we did next was nothing out of the ordinary, we got up and left the establishment--no food, no interaction and certainly no patience. The man at the front desk apologized and we didn't feel guilty at all. This place needs better wait-times and needs more people to take customers orders. one star--never again. read more

This is a casual steakhouse style restaurant that is very spacious, but also understaffed. I've visited twice now. Once on a Sunday and my most recent visit was on a Monday. We had the same server both times who wasn't super on point, but that seems to be the standard in Santa Fe lately. If you go on a Sunday, there's an 8oz prime rib special which is a good deal at $16 and includes mashed potatoes and green beans. It was really tasty and I'd definitely come back for this. On my second visit, I ordered the chicken schnitzel with sweet potato fries. It was cooked nicely and the mushroom sauce it came with was good. My boyfriend had the fried chicken which I wouldn't recommend, because it was pretty dry but he still ate it. We also waited quite a while for the entrees and never got our salads, but they gave us our salads to go when we mentioned that at the end of the meal. The manager was nice to offer a dessert as well, so that made up for the experience. read more

Heading out of Santa Fe we saw the Bourbon Grill and decided to make a stop. We arrived for Happy Hour! Just in time as one of the waitstaff was crushing fresh limes in advance. Margaritas were a popular item in the menu. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable when it came to both wine and spirits! We were able to sample their own barreled bourbon and decided to purchase a bottle to take home. With our drinks we ordered shrimp cocktail! Just the right amount of horse radish in the sauce and the shrimp We're perfectly prepared. Needless to say, my silver coin margarita was made to perfection! Until next time! For my husband's birthday last night, we went to dinner at The Burbon Grill. What a surprise! It was the worst service and food we've ever experienced. First, the drink order was wrong: how hard is it to mess up a Bombay Sapphire martini straight up with three olives? For $12.00 a drink, they got it wrong Second, the appetizers which were supposed to be served hot, were cold and without appetizer plates. Or forks. Third, the steaks must have been made out of old, recycled boots. Our dog loved them! Lastly, the dessert took 1/2 hour to appear. Supposedly warm, it was ice cold in the middle. Why didn't we complain to our server? There must have been some rule that she show up only to take the initial order and present the bill. The busboys we had were fabulous! Our plates were cleared away instantly and with a smile--or was it a laugh? So much for skipping downtown and staying in the neighborhood. We dine at the Bourbon Grill pretty much weekly. I especially love sitting in Bo's section. He is such a dedicated server and takes such good care of his guests. The green chile chicken stew is a must have. Salads are fresh and they have excellent house made ranch dressing. (I'm from the South, so I'm picky about my ranch dressing. ) Hubby loves Wednesday wing night and I like the weekend prime rib. Super good baked-potatoes, too! read more

Loved dinning on the patio. The Ribeye was a little thin and overdone. But overall we had a good meal.

We had a large party for a late fathers day dinner and it seemed since the start they were confused items came Out haphazard and we weren't told they do not have mashed potato's . They had baked potato's though they just substitute with out asking you. The prime rib special was ordered medium rare and came out seared and raw. Of the 13 plates more then half had over cooked meat or undercooked items. They might do better just with a small group. I think the food for the price point is not worth it. read more

We had a meal when they open at 3:00 pm. Hubby had fajitas, excellent. I had shrimp cocktail and green chili chicken soup also excellent. Our server Trinity was a delight and Stephen the bar tender is such a great guy! Our only complaint about this restaurant is that they don't open until 3:00 pm and we're seniors so we don't like to eat after lunch or we get fat! Anniversary dinner with the in-laws. Arrived at 4:45, served drinks right away from one of the most experienced waiters I have seen. His name is Bo, gave us a history lesson of the restaurant which was pretty cool. Dinner came and the special was steak and shrimp. It was perfectly cooked! Wife had the steak kabobs and they were "perfect" The atmosphere was great and even had a singer walking around. She was great ! If we make it down this way again we will stop! We went there for dinner tonight, I read reviews about the bad steaks and baked potato but I tried them anyway. Steak was tough, no flavor, baked potato was probably left from day before and was partially dehydrated on the inside and not hot. The Green Chicken soup was very good and the fish and chips that was ordered by spouse was good . The servers Bo and Aleyah( Aleia ) not sure of spelling was very nice and attentive as was another employee who was placing fall flowers out. Great soup and servers! read more

Been going here for years, always loved happy hour! Recently went with a friend and upon checkout both of our receipts were incorrect. I explained to the bartender that I had only two cocktails and he had to call the manager over to correct it. The manager was unnecessarily rude. Will rethink going back there. read more

The food is pretty good, but the service is lacking. During the lockdown, we ordered take-out twice. Liked the steak and baked potato and the stuffed pepper. Shrimp salad wasn't so great, though. Portions were good. Prices reasonable. But... both times for take-out we arrived at the stated time and had to wait 10 - 15 minutes for the order. On another occasion once dine-in was available, a Sunday, I called to make a reservation. The recorded message said that they would be taking reservations at beginning at 3:30. I left a message requesting a reservation. Didn't hear back. I called several more times and got the same message (though I didn't leave another voicemail). Decided to go to the restaurant anyway. A sign on the door said that they were closed that day. Sorry for the inconvenience. I called back and left a message asking why the phone message wasn't changed. How difficult would it have been to just change the message to "We will be closed Sunday." I half expected a phone call back to apologize. Nope. Last night we gave them another try. I called around 3:40 to make a reservation. The woman said that they weren't taking any more reservations, just walk-ins. We went around 5:30. Sign on the door said they would close at 7:00 due to being understaffed. We were seated promptly. And sat. And sat. And sat. Several waitstaff passed our table waiting on other tables. At one point we stopped a young man and asked when our server would be available. He said "Soon." We sat some more. And then left. Yes, we're still in the pandemic mode. Yes, there may be staffing issues. But we dine out often (and ordered take-out often) and haven't had this many problems any other place we've been. As I said, we generally liked the take-out food. But we have yet to dine-in. And I doubt that we'll be back. read more

For Santa Fe's selection of places with a lobster tail, this one was by far the best in town. I'm so glad I chose this place for my Mother's Day dinner. Our previous meal at Bourbon was several months ago. It was time to go back since we enjoyed their steaks, baked potato & house salad. What a disaster! The steak had so much sinew it was difficult to chew & swallow. The salad was half the size it use to be & had two large pieces of kale. It was awful! They did not destroy the baked potato. Yet another restaurant going down hill! To make up for the bad meal, we went to Outback. Outback is still consistent with the same good food. I especially love their house salad. It has not changed in decades. We feel obligated to tell friends so they can avoid the Bourbon Grill. read more
