This used to be my wife's favorite restaurant for special occasions...Valentine's Day, our official wedding day, etc. So, for her 50th bday this week, I took her here last Tuesday at 5:30 so we could get her favorite corner table on the patio. The ambiance and service was amazing. Chocolate martinis were spot on...as well as the calamari appetizer. However, for the main courses and sides, her filet was overdone (asked for medium rare), had no flavor or seasoning. The Béarnaise sauce even had no flavor...which was also used on our side of asparagus...which also had no flavor. She was very disappointed and does not wish to come to 333 any longer...and we've come here for years. Maybe the chefs on a Tuesday had no clue how to even cook a filet? So simple. Besides ambiance and service...I'll sadly give the experience a 1 star. read more

Updating my last review. We went back specifically for Happy Hour this time after so many recommendations. It's not a huge suggestion, but it was great for what they had. We had the calamari, fries, ceviche, and oyster shooters. I was pleasantly surprised at how great the food was. The happy hour specific drinks were fine. Heavy on the pour, taste was average. This review is for their Happy Hour which is one of our favorite in Oceanside. Currently it is 3-6pm in their bar area DAILY which is awesome. We have been visiting about once a week or once every two weeks for the last few months since we discovered it. The HH is only in the bar area and it can get busy. Understandably so since they have some good items on the menu for bites and sips. We usually go with the filet skewers and calamari for snacks. However the Caesar salad, shrimp ceviche and truffle fries are also great choices all for $10 You could absolutely make a whole meal out of the choices like one of the tables near us did with each getting the salad, lobster bisque soup then Having an order of fries and calamari for the table plus two glasses of wine. Tons of food for about $40 (pre tax and tip a person) Restaurant overall is in a great location near the ocean. Only downside is there is no outside seating for the HH, but that's out of their control. read more

The decor is dated, the sunset view was obscured by dirty glass Food was overpriced and less than mediocre, service was ok. We got cocktails and some starters: The shrimp ceviche was under seasoned canned fingernail sized shrimp and meh. The tuna tar tar was also lackluster and completely bland. The calamari was ok but was clearly frozen bagged Sysco type. We were blown away by an epic seafood dinner here at 333 Pacific! They were able to seat us right away without a reservation on a holiday weekend by letting us sit in the first-come-first-serve tables up front. Our server Jordan took great care of us all night, from cocktails to appetizers to the main course. Their happy hour was awesome, $10 per plate for a delightful lobster bisque, giant caesar salad, and steamed mussels. Then the main was absolutely incredible: we shared the Colossal Seafood Tower and they were NOT joking about the "colossal" part of that! We could not believe the portion sizes. A giant mason jar of delicious tuna tartar, a big bowl of shrimp ceviche, a dozen plump meaty oysters, tons of jumbo shrimp, a full dungeness crab cluster, and on and on and on. Amazing. The only thing we didn't totally love on the tower was the lobster, it was good but a little tough. (It could just be that I'm from the Northeast though so I get picky with my lobster lol) I have to mention though how amazing the bread course was. They could have just put out simple bread and butter and we would have been happy, but they went way over the top with these beautiful freshly-baked rosemary buns and three different kinds of soft whipped butter. Super delicious. Yes it was a little expensive... by the time it was all said and done, about $350 for three of us with tax and tip. But for being able to eat seafood a stone's throw from Oceanside beach, with great service, top quality, and huge portion size, well, you get what you pay for sometimes. Both the buns and burger were heavily charred and they had both asked for them to be cooked medium. My husband took 3 bites and refused to finish his meal. Everyone enjoyed their food choices. I ordered the tomahawk pork chop, it was very tender and grilled perfectly. The seafood paella had plenty of assorted seafood and was delicious. Our kids enjoyed the salmon but the portions were on the petit side. Can't wait to come back. We highly recommend trying their menu. We went to the 333 for our anniversary. It was disappointing. Other than a "happy anniversary ", nothing else was done for our special occasion. I didn't really expect much, but for these prices, a scoop of ice cream to share would have been nice. The drinks were not great. My husband drank my marg because it would have just been wasted. The wedge salad was awesome! I got the Ciopini. Very heavy tomato forward base. I wouldn't call it a soup because it was not possible to eat it like that. Great for dipping the bread. The restaurant was fully booked but we took our chances and walked in. The front lounge/bar area is first come first serve and my family was lucky to snag a few tables together and seat the 7 of us including an infant. The hostess set it up and had us seated right away. It was as chaotic as you can imagine with an infant and hungry toddler but our server was very attentive and accommodating. She took our order and brought out the kid's food first (lobster bisque and mac n cheese). Then the main food came out, a variety of meats, some scallops, and a seafood tower. All the food came out delicious. One medium-well steak came out pretty raw and they kindly put it back on the grill. The brownie sundae was warm and tasty too. We terribly regretted coming here for Christmas dinner. On Christmas evening my boyfriend, baby sister, and I walked in around 6:30 to have dinner. 333 had a Christmas 3 course menu, $75 per adult and $25 per kid, beverages not included. They closed at 7 but still sat us which was kind. If I knew that meant we wouldn't get the same service then we would've just left. It took about 15 minutes to get our beverages from the time we placed the order. It took about 45 minutes for our waiter to ask what we wanted to eat. Our waiter took 20 minutes to return with a straw, but when he came back with he still had no straw. My soup was so small and was served with no spoon, had to wait again for a spoon. He came back to ask if we wanted more drinks. I asked him not to serve my 8 year old a SECOND Shirley temple, he brought back a Shirley temple and brought back the wrong drink for boyfriend 15 minutes later. I felt like a forgotten customer. The $75 prime rib was supposed to be medium rare, it was so rare. The fat on it was so pink and squishy it made me feel sick just cutting it off. I love medium rare steak but this was very disappointing. Desert- baby sister had the option of ice cream Sandwhich. Rock hard. She couldn't bite into it I got a pecan tart that was meant to be served with vanilla ice cream- no vanilla ice cream.. but we saw other waiters take out THE SAME THING to other tables with ice cream. I asked if the ice cream was included like it SAID ON THE MENU. Waiter said "I can bring some out for you if want" If I want? Is that not what we're paying for??? I looked at my boyfriend and was like "did we do something wrong??" Boyfriends chocolate cake was meant to come with vanilla ice cream too, it didn't. Ice cream comes out- no spoon. Again. Waiter never came back so I just ate it with a fork.. The bill after tip was $270. We felt sick paying that price for terrible service, and extremely mediocre food. My boyfriend paid for it alone but I sent him half after cause I couldn't let him suffer alone. We both just couldn't believe the experience we had from a very nice restaurant that was charging people $75 each. My Green Goddess salad was completely underwhelming (not taking off a star...I'm sure if I said something, it would've been rectified). Affogato dessert shared by three could've easily been ordered by each of us and yummed up. No restrictions on what we could order, but since the ahi nicoise was the item I dinged them for, I ordered that again. my wife had the green goddess salad. Both were excellent. A full portion of ahi for the nicoise, and a very tasty dressing on the green goddess, with a nice portionof crab and shrimp. Drove 40m for lunch at 333 Pacific. Reviewed the menu on our drive. Our order from the menu was two 333 greens, both with grilled chicken. After taking our order, the server returned & stated that the restaurant had no chicken available at all. How can a restaurant advertise an item, how can a restaurant not have any chicken at all? As a result our server offered substitutions and we went with steak on one & grilled shrimp on the other. When the bill arrived, the "adds" were $15.95 & $16.50 (3 pieces of Shrimp). This was on top of the greens of $15.50 each. These adds were a bit excessive especially considering that the restaurant did not have what was advertised. Well, lesson learned & we will explore other nearby restaurants going forward. read more

We came for a pre Thanksgiving dinner 9 of us and this ruined our evening. It's not about the cost it's about the honesty. Don't tell me AFTER the bill comes and give me some BS excuse. Very disappointed/upset with this POOR practice especially from a prestigious location. The worst part you know who suffers? The workers. Because some customer won't even leave a tip even though it's not the waiting staffs fault. The only reason it's 4 stars in our opinion is the food and drinks took forever to come out. We were one of first seated when it opened and 20 mins to get out 5 specialty drinks on their Easter menu--surprised they didn't have them mixed and ready. Another 20 for first course. 30 for main after that. 25 for dessert. Shocked how slow the kitchen was with no apologies at any point. Wouldn't return given how long it took to dine but we had a nice Easter. We also bought a $300 bottle of wine and at no point did that up the level of service or speed for a table dropping that much cash--which was about the price of five lunches. read more

The service is amazing and the ambience well who doesn't like being next to the beach everything was perfect for my birthday lunch.. my husband and I shared oysters and a half shell and I love that they great the horseradish instead of giving you horseradish that is jarred. The chard octopus was delicious and goes very well with the andouille sausage and if you're looking for some amazing savory grits look no further probably the best shrimp and grits I've ever had. Wow, this place is amazing!! Right by Oceanside beach, this was a beautiful restaurant that we were able to dine at last minute in the bar area. Their bar area is huge, and they have actual tables with chairs so you don't have to sit at a high top which allowed us to experience the restaurant without feeling like we are just at the "bar". We found this place nearby, and I was excited cause I saw Sushi in a promoted picture, but they do NOT have sushi. They still have seafood and steaks but I was really excited for sushi. The closest thing to that however was their Ahi Tuna tartare which was pretty good, but I also saw a picture of this big square of tuna tartare and the one I received did not look like that, so heads up some pictures/ menu items you see may be outdated! They welcomed us with their rosemary bread with maple butter which was delicious and all the appetizers were very good. The lobster bisque was a little big though, if you plan to eat a lot, I wish they had a cup size instead of a large bowl. We actually got very full off of appetizers, the pork belly was phenomenal, and the skewers were very filling as well. The waitress raved about the garlic smashed potatoes, but they did not look like the smash potatoes I know, they were just cubed and very garlicky but still good. Well, up until two years ago we always had our Christmas Eve dinner at 333. At that time, the service began to falter and the food was not great. We had the worst night ever for the highest prices on 12/24/2023 and decided to never go again. Two years later, a friend came into town and wanted to go there so we begrudgingly went. We are so glad!!! Whatever has happened with management and the Chef has turned this place into a mecca for dining. The service was impeccable from the hostess to the food server to the bus support to the food delivery. Every person had a smile and was ready to ensure our evening when without a hitch. The bartender team was unbelievable: offering whatever they could to make sure we had the drinks we wanted. The bartender's suggestion for chardonnay was perfect. The food? Unreal. My friend and I had the salmon and another had the waygu beef burger. Each item was so delectable and expertly plated, I was truly in awe. The first thing I said was, "I gotta get home so I can update my review." Thank you, 333! recently dined here alone, hoping to enjoy a relaxing evening and a good meal, but unfortunately the service completely ruined the experience. When I arrived, I waited about 15 minutes to be seated. I didn't mind at first because I assumed they were busy, but I noticed the group ahead of me had been waiting even longer and eventually left. That should have been the first sign. Once seated, I was served by a blonde waitress who was very attentive, chatty, and engaging with the table next to me--offering drink refills, desserts, and making sure they were taken care of. Meanwhile, because I was dining alone, I felt completely overlooked. She made minimal conversation with me, never checked in properly, never refilled my water, and never once offered dessert. A busboy had to refill my water instead. When I asked for a to-go box, she said she would bring one. Ten minutes passed and she never did. Once again, the busboy had to step in and help. I came in looking forward to a nice evening by myself, but instead I left feeling ignored and unwelcome. Solo diners deserve the same level of respect and service as everyone else. I was actually planning to come back for my birthday next week, but after this experience, absolutely not. If you're dining alone, be aware that you may not receive the same treatment as other guests here. read more

Food was executed well but this restaurant doesn't stand out. Decor was very outdated and doesn't complement the incredible views you get of the pier and ocean. The architecture also blocks most of the views if you are sitting inside. To get the views you need to sit on the covered patio. When you first walk in it feels more like a sports bar than a fancy restaurant. The place really needs a refresh. The food was good and the menu decent, I just wasn't wowed. We started with the chili calamari which was good but I'd prefer the sauce on the side as it is very mayo heavy. The bread was good but the flavored butter wasn't. For dinner we had the filet trio that was cooked perfectly. As a side we ordered the corn and pepper risotto which was more pepper flavor than corn so I was a little disappointed. By far the star of the meal was the butter cake for dessert- that was phenomenal and a must get. Overall the food was a 3.5-4 the ambiance a 2.5-3. It's good not great and if you are lucky you'll get a seat with a decent view. That restaurant should be all windows and the decor needs to feel lighter, it was so hotel decor circa 1990. Service was great. They have a nice happy hour menu and crowd and I'd recommend coming for that. You will get a good meal here but not necessarily a "wow" experience- which I was expecting at this price point. read more
