They just love saying "no" to customers. There was a special Christmas menu for $75 (the a la carte items were almost as much, which defeated the purpose!). But I couldn't eat several courses for the $75 pre-fixed price, so I just wanted to get something from the kids menu for $20 since I didn't wanna eat that much. The powers that be said no, even after I told the fast-talking, nervous-demeanor and hyper server, Jordan (should could use Valium, or lay off the caffeine. Jeez!). Pro Tips: - They offer free garage parking, but if you come after 6PM you may be able to grab free street parking as well - I don't like blue cheese so they changed the cheese for me on the Brussels sprouts! - Came for a birthday and they offered a complimentary cannoli - We made a reservation and came on a Friday night and it was super busy, so I recommend you make a reservation ahead of time I appreciate that the food comes out fairly quickly. Janna and I had our 1st dinner date at 333 Pacific 4 years ago, so I booked us in for an anniversary dinner Sunday at Sunset. Although they do not guarantee specific seating in advance, I had requested a patio table and they came through for us. 333 Pacific is the very essence of great food and experience. Amazingly enough, our server David was, in fact, our server on our 1st date here. He sets the gold standard in service, cannot speak highly enough of him. We started with Lobster bisque and I have the Baby Iceberg Wedge. For dinner, Janna had the Pacifico Striped Seabass and I went for the American Wagyu Meatloaf. Both were prepared to perfection! This place is alway packed during the holiday season. You must make a reservation to secure a table. We made a reservation for a party of 4 at 7:00pm but got there 15 minutes early and got seated at around 6:50pm. The ambience of the restaurant is pretty classy, warm, and nice. Our server David greeted us right away and asked what we would like to drink. We asked about what we must try and he had suggested. We've come to 333 several times over the years. They have an okay happy hour: vodka martinis are $9. Used to be $7 for the longest time. Still, $9 is pretty good and the HH is daily from 3-6pm (I think except Mon-Tues). We have yet to eat a full dinner here and mostly come for drinks. The vibe is awesome, and it's literally right next to the beach. Parking is generally pretty easy on the street, but there are parking garages nearby as well. read more

Erin our server was great for the most part, except we ordered a bottle of Paso Robles Sauvignon blanc (the only one they had listed on the menu) so when she said the order back to us we assumed it was the bottle listed (that we also physically pointed to on the menu) and instead of taking accountability for her mistake brought over her manager Chris who pressured us into paying for the bottle they incorrectly put in for us. Also Erin presented the bottle but never had either of us taste test it. My boyfriends New York strip was incorrectly cooked the first time so we split my filet until his food came out correctly prepared. Terrible management, mediocre service with lack of accountability for restaurant errors. The hubby and I have been wanting to check out 333 since we just moved to the area! We happened to come during restaurant week and was happy to be able to try more of what they have to offer! One of the things I HATE about upscale/fine dining is that their portion sizes are so pretentious and you have to buy a burger after. BUT I must day I was happily surprised at the portion sizes! Check out the appetizer, entree, and dessert pics because I was thoroughly full and I am a 2 hour AYCE Kbbq eater! We had the Fried Tomato BLT. 3 pieces with nice pork belly. I was able to cut through each easily! The sun dried tomatoes on top was sweet and nice tang to the savory pork belly. Entree I had the melt in your mouth braised short rib on top of mashed potatoes and some zucchini. You really did not even need a knife for the short rib! So soft! The hubby got surf and turf of 8oz flat sirloin and 3 shrimps. The steak was super tender and not dry. The risotto was wonderful as well and shrimp flavored with the right amount of spice! Dessert was berry panna cotta and it was very light in taste exactly what I love but the Warm Butter cake the hubby had was just perfect for the end of the meal. We came out very full and very satisfied. Service was also top notch. The only reason I knocked down a star is the fact that I made a reservation asking for a window seat and sadly was not given that. And when we got there it was not even mentioned until I said something. We were able to sit close to it but would have been nice to have had that seating for our anniversary. However, I've been to this restaurant several times over the years and have never been disappointed. The food and the service have been great each time, so much so that I do recall the last two visits I asked to speak to the manager because of the caliber of service received. We visited for the first time on Valentine's day with a reservation and request for the front Sun room. We were seated promptly and our request was honored!! The service was great. Our waitress was Julie who was very attentive as were others. The food was superb. In our party of 3 we had 3 different entree's all which we excellent, attractively plated and very tasty When making the reservation I mentioned a member in our party was having a birthday, when the bill came we were charged for a piece birthday cake which was delivered even though our meal came with dessert. Also on the bill was a $22+ charge when we asked we we told it was for having rose pedals on the table. Since we did not have pedals on our table this charge was removed. Check your bill!! read more

We made a reservation and were told to ask for a window seat with an ocean view upon arrival if desired, which we did but unfortunately did not get sat by a window despite the open tables (which never got filled during our dining). Appetizers we tried were the pork belly and the artichoke. Pork belly was AMAZING. The flavor was phenomenal, perfect texture. The artichoke was great but not very "meaty". Our vegan diner had the cauliflower which she said was good, nothing wow about it. I had the flat iron, which tasted like it sat under the heat lamp. It was extremely dry, very tough, and overcooked unfortunately. We also ordered the filet trio, in which one of three were cooked properly. Unfortunately the other two were not so they were barely eaten. We also ordered exotic mushrooms and the garlic mashed potatoes as a side. The mushrooms were very chewy, and we couldn't eat them so our waiter was nice enough to take it off the bill. The garlic mashed potatoes were spectacular. The flavor was perfect. The drinks were also amazing! Service was great, we didn't want to send most of our food back so we ate what we could and ate at another place after. I'm rating this a 2, only due to our friendly waiter and the ambience. I ordered a $65 filet to be cooked medium, with brussel sprouts. Veggies were blackened and over seasoned. Filet served well done and blackened on the outside from overuse of butter. I had no choice but to make the waiter aware. He sent it back as my friends had their dinner. When he brought my steak out, we were deep in conversation and the filet was rare on the outside, raw in the middle. They didn't even offer to comp the dish. The cook ruined two steaks! We've been coming to this restaurant for many years, but yesterday was a bit of a let down. We were there around 4pm on a Tuesday, so not very busy, but our service was terrible. Our waitress Candace was very slow, we had to flag her down for drinks which then took extremely long to receive, and then we had to flag her down again for food. Then after waiting 30 minutes for one entree we nicely asked her if our food was ready yet. The look of surprise on her face showed she had completely forgot about us and brought our food right out. We then had to flag her down again to get our check at which point she rolled her eyes and said she would come back with. Several minutes later we finally got our check and the had to wait yet again to sign for it. The people at our end of our table, noticed the bad service we received and actually requested another waitress who helped the people to the right of us as well and was excellent. I took my family to celebrate my dad's 86 birthday, and I couldn't be any happier, the ambiance was nice, right in front of the Oceanside pier, the view is incredible, the food was delicious and the service topnotch, our server Ellanya was so sweet and attentive, one of the managers Jeff was also very attentive making sure we were all happy and satisfied, many of the staff wish my dad a happy Birthday, including another manager that took the time to stop by our table and talk to him. Amazing location. Right across from the Oceanside pier. Great for people watching and sunsets (when it's not socked in, it almost always is). Really attentive service and very friendly. It's what most restaurants should establish as the baseline. Water being filled, needs being met. 333 did it very well. I got the wedge salad. Icy, creamy and delicious. Nice addition with the crispy onion. Definitely shareable too. Trio of filets was filling and tasty. Filet was good, a little over cooked, but still had great flavor and mashed potatoes were a simple compliment. It was a quiet Monday evening, but we got the romance package to celebrate our anniversary and that included a ring of roses. It was a nice touch. Could've been better if they left the stems on and you could take a rose or two home. But otherwise very nice. Dessert was a meringue, made well. Worst service ever last and spoiled the entire evening of our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The reserved table for us upon being seated was missing napkins for us to dine and had to request as they did not even notice. After ordering our waiter for the evening Andrés Ghosted us. I ran out of my beverage before my meal came, he continued to walk by us and never even looked at us or checked to see if we needed anything. Finally after 15 minutes of a empty glass he walks up and asked if I would like a little more... I said I would love a lot more please. Andrés came back with a refill of my beverage and laid 2 knives on our table that were dirty and did not even match! The food came via another server and it was good. During our meal as we watched Andrés walk by at least another 4 times never looking at us, I was out of my beverage yet again.. he never stopped back again.. The server that served us our food came to take our plates and box left overs and returned... Still no Andrés... We sat the another 10 minutes and my wife and I got up off the table and walked to the front desk check in counter to request our bill to pay and leave. We were not even served our Anniversary cake at our table that I paid for as part of the dinner package. David the manager for the evening was very nice and was surprised as to what we had experienced.. Never the less, the memories of our 25th Wedding Anniversary were ruined by the non service... Came here for drinks and appetizers with one of my best friends on a Saturday afternoon without a reservation. We decided to sit at the bar, which was pretty open around 1 pm. The ambiance here is great. Definitely upscale coastal vibes and this would be a wonderful place for dinner or lunch. We both ordered some glasses of sauvignon blanc and split a half dozen oysters, as well as the shrimp ceviche. The oysters were fresh and sweet and the shrimp ceviche came with taro chips which was unexpected, but delicious! We spent a few hours at the bar catching up and were still hungry after a few glasses of wine so we ended up also ordering the short rib mac and cheese...we were so glad we did! The amount of short rib on top of the mac and cheese was generous and so tender. It paired well with the mac and cheese and made it a lot heartier and filling. We also loved that it was covered in crispy onions, which gave a nice crunch to the dish!
