    Pork Dumplings

Based on take out service experience only. The camera ate first sorry! This was hands-down one of the best chicken sandwiches we've had in the city. We ordered the spicy chicken and dumplings. It was delicious and we would order again.

First time at 3LP at Bridgeport location! Saw this place on TikTok and I'm glad I came in. The most popular items are their lemon pepper sandwich, bbq pork, and fried rice. We tried the bbq pork which was topped with a delicious house made glaze, the fried rice (mixed in bbq pork) and the fried teriyaki chicken. All came out hot and fresh. The inside is extremely small, so expect to have to take your food to-go, depending on how many diners they have at the time. If you do get to dine in, there's a few seats by the window and 2-3 large tables. I wish they had a location in the burbs, but it's somewhere I would drive to if I'm craving it.

Lemon Pepper Chicken Box with Garlic Rice

The good, the bad, and the ugly. The good - The chicken pieces. Hot, crispy, fresh, and delicious. The bad - Everything else. Sides are complete non-starters. The salt and pepper crinkle cut fries are standard issue mid-grade frozen. That's not a big problem if they're properly cooked. These weren't. They were soggy and barely seasoned. The so-called Garlic Butter Rice was a misstep. The rice was dried out and slightly crunchy and the only butter this rice ever saw was if they were stacked next to each other on the back of a Sysco truck. All of this is especially off putting as we were the first customers of the day in the middle of the week. We disagreed on the signature Hot Pot Beef sandwich. Tasted by itself, the beef didn't have much flavor, nor did the jus provided on the side. All the taste came from the relatively small amount of giardinera on top and that flavor was HOT. Like blazingly hot to the exclusion of any other flavor. I couldn't be bothered to finish my half of the sandwich. My partner liked the beef but not enough to return for it. The ugly - The interior of the restaurant. Maybe it's a deliberate decor decision but the interior looks cheap and grimy. I might not mind so much if a truly meh lunch for 2 wasn't close to $40. Oh yeah, you order from a kiosk and they expect a tip, too.

I saw this on the infatuation and again I am disappointed. There is not a lot of seating and it is giving hole in the wall. There is very limited interaction with staff and their menu was cut back significantly. For $17 dollars, the char shiu pork was dry and didn't have much flavor outside of the sauce. The garlic rice tasted like really old unwashed rice with dried garlic bits on it. No garlic flavor at all. The only okay thing is the salt and pepper pork but it still was not the saving grace. It was giving an AI interpretation of chinese american food. I definitely would not get it again especially for $17.

Orange chicken and Pineapple chicken box

I was excited for first 3lp brick and mortar location to open up in my neighborhood. I had heard such great things and had really high expectations. I decided to try it out and I got the choose 2 box, orange chicken and sweet pineapple chicken. I was left disappointed. The serving size was just okay. The orange chicken was bland and it didn't taste like orange, or at least what orange chicken normally tastes like. The pineapple chicken was better and was sweet. Finally, the fried rice was just ok. It had too much garlic for my liking. Overall, the food was just ok. I would only return to try the sandwiches as most of the reviews on here talk about how great they are.

Chicken Sandwich. Ask them to half it

Loved the Chiken Sandwich. Comes with curly fries. Had the Lemonade. It was just right. However the STAR at this place is the pork. I strongly recommend Orange Chicken and Pork combo with garlic rice. Worth every penny. Met an owner. He was really cool to talk too. Next location to drop into is in Hyde Park. Gotta have the Spicy Chicken.

TLDR: The spicy chicken sandwich CARRIED!!!! Would come back for this. Ngl i was a bit skeptical trying out this place after reading the reviews, but the spicy chicken sandwich was so good, I'd come back even if other teams didn't live up to the hype. Spicy chicken sandwich: 5/5, incredibly juicy, perfect amount of spice. Not a Nashville-style hot chicken, more like peppercorn/peppery. Spicy level was maybe 2/5 for me, which is easily enjoyable. Probably top 5 personal faves when it comes to hot chicken sandwich. Lemon pepper chicken: 4/5, also tasted great but I felt they were a little bit drier than the sandwich. Still great nonetheless! Bbq pork: 4/5, a mix between American style bbq (the wet sauce) and chasiu (the seasoning). My husband really enjoyed this. Personally, i think it's a great concept and tasted great, but it's just personal preference to keep it separate lol. Fried rice: 3.5/5, it was cooked "al dente" and flavor was good. Had that red chasiu color which we thought was interesting. Besides the color, this tasted very similar to any fried rice you get some a Chinese restaurant. Our friends however really enjoyed this. Fries: 1/5. Skip this lol. Tasted stale and under salt. Ketchup wasn't even available. Service: 5/5, food came out fairly quick.

REAL TALK: I fell in LOVE with their 3 pigs design on their brown bag, so I knew I had to come here no matter what! I had read the story about the longtime loyal following of Chef Henry Cai, so I wanted to check out 3 Little Pigs, aka 3LP. This is also their first brick-and-mortar location, located in the Bridgeport 'hood. The menu is pretty extensive, offering various apps/sides, offer 'Boxes', Fried Chicken Sandwiches, Beef Sandwich, Burgers, wraps, noodles, salads, BBQ, fried rice, and drinks. I ordered: +Crab Rangoon - larger than normal, these come with 3 pieces and a side of their house sweet and sour sauce; the skin was a little thicker, and I wished these were crispier; regardless, the crab/cream cheese filling was generous and this was still a yummy app +the Original Salt & Pepper Fried Chicken Sandwich - deep-fried seasoned chicken topped with fried garlic, sauteed jalapenos, and original mayo, sandwiched between a brioche bun; the online menu stated it was served with a side of Chinese pickles in the description, but the item title stated it was served with fries (curly fries); this was pretty delicious! The chicken HUGE, and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly; the toppings, especially those sauteed jalapenos, made this so good; definitely can get messy with the mayo, but it was finger-licking good! +Veggie Fried Rice - prepared with peas, carrots, broccoli, white onions, green onions, beansprouts, and eggs; not sure if I was a fan of the flavors, but I'm thinking if I added some soy sauce and chili oil at home, it could be better? I'd like to try their Dry Chili Lemon Pepper Chicken, the Sweet & Sour Pineapple Chicken, the Shrimp Fried Rice, the Original Hot Pot Beef, and the OG Fat Head Henry Burger on the next visit! Order is done at one of the two kiosks that are available. The place is cozy and cute, and there's a handful of seating. I absolutely loved the decor and the mural on their building! Staff were super kind, friendly, and welcoming! Street parking can be found in the area. Definitely check this super local, small business out! +Original Salt & Pepper Fried Chicken Sandwich! +friendly & kind staff! +kiosk ordering +street parking available

Absolutely insane experience. Make sure you get a reservation because this place gets booked up…read morequickly and rightfully so. My wife and I ordered the bone marrow to start and shared a single cheeseburger with the bacon and egg add on. The bone marrow with the marmalade on the side was amazing. I loved the thick toast they gave on the side. It was the perfect balance for such a rich dish. The burger is probably one of the best burgers I've had in my life. The bun was nice and fluffy, the burger was juicy, the bacon was thick and flavorful, and the egg was cooked to perfection. For a couple of bites, we threw a little bone marrow and the marmalade on the burger and it took it to a whole new level. The restaurant was small and comfortable. A tad loud with the music, but I didn't mind too much. I would gladly trade that for the delicious meal we had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great burger. Just make sure you get a reservation early.

Arrived just as they opened at 10AM on a Friday and were the first customers in the door, but by…read morethe time we left at 11:30 there was a good sized line. Vibes inside are excellent and drinks are (very) boozy with a variety of booths, tables, and bar seating available. Burger with Egg and Bacon (4.25/5): Look, this is a great burger. Bacon is melt in your mouth and the egg adds a bit of creamy richness on top of the fatty, salty beef and cheese combo. The bread bun is pillowy, but I wouldn't wait in a line for hours for this. Bone Marrow (10/5): Now I would wait in line for hours for this bone marrow dish that absolutely changed my life. This comes with 4 HUGE pieces of bone marrow that you spread over fluffy, perfectly toasted Texas toast and pair with a beef cheek marmalade that exactly rides the line between sweet and savory. If you come here without ordering this, you're missing out big time. Green Salad (4/5): Nice, fresh and I needed some fiber. Nothing mind blowing, but a good change of pace. Crispy Fries (4/5): Very lightly crispy fries (reminiscent of light well for the west coasters), but the sauces are where this shines. Garlic aioli and mornay sauce (think white gravy) were rich, thick, and excellent! Key Lime Pie (4.25/5): Whipped cream on this INCREDIBLE, wish you could just order a bowl of that. I think they serve it slightly warmer than fridge temp (cool not cold) and it just melts on the tongue with really strong vanilla flavor. Pie itself is also good; nice strong tartness with the buttery and salty crust. Mille-Feuille (4.5/5): Chocolate sauce has a nice depth of flavor with the shattering crisp of the pastry. Pastry cream was a lot thicker than I expected, but super rich and delicious. Definitely a dessert to share.

Recently, my husband and I celebrated the anniversary of the day we met. We don't always mark the…read moreoccasion, but this year it was a milestone worth celebrating. We chose to dine at Girl & the Goat in Chicago, a restaurant we had never visited before. The acclaimed restaurant by renowned chef Stephanie Izard truly lived up to its stellar reputation! One of the first things we appreciated was the convenience of the restaurant's valet parking, located right by the front patio. At $22 for up to four hours and $26 for four to eight hours, the rates were quite reasonable for the area. As soon as the three of us stepped inside Girl & the Goat (we had made a reservation for 6:30 pm on a Friday), we were warmly greeted by one of the two friendly hostesses, and were promptly led to a comfortable four-top table with a banquette and two chairs along the wall. We felt fortunate to have one of the better tables in the dining room, as some of the others were positioned very close together. The nearby two-top tables, in particular, were quite small and placed only a short distance from ours. The restaurant's rustic-industrial décor was dark but trendy and stylish, the lively and vibrant vibe was warm and welcoming. However, I have to mention that it was really loud in the dining room, as guests seemed to be enjoying themselves and talked loudly.  It was hard to hear our server and the staff who delivered and explained the dishes to us.  Our server, Yazmin, was extremely friendly and attentive.  It was very sweet of her to wish us a happy anniversary both in the beginning  and at the end of the meal.  She also checked in on us several times during the evening.  Now, on to the food and drinks. I started with a glass of the NA Sparkling Rosé ($17), which was light, crisp, and quite refreshing. My husband ordered a glass of Le Colture Prosecco ($18), while our daughter chose the Sun Kid ($18). She enjoyed her drink, although she felt the portion was a bit small, as the glass was filled with a lot of ice that took up much of the space. Since the restaurant offers small to medium plates which are shareable, Yazmin advised us to get 5 to 6 dishes for 3 people to share.  We decided to get 5 savory dishes and 3 desserts to share: Savory dishes: - Chickpea Fritters ($20), goat yogurt, green chutney, sev spice crunch, pickled rhubarb. - Pan Roasted Halibut ($37), miso-Marcona almond butter, spring onion blueberry nuoc cham. - Roasted Pig Face ($28), sunny side egg, tamarind, cilantro, red wine-maple, potato stix. - Goat Empanadas ($24), smoked tomato-corn salsa, roasted poblano crema queso fresco. - Confit Goat Belly ($38), strawberry goat braise, smoked yogurt drizzle, pickled strawberries. Desserts: - Vacation, Please! ($16), toasted coconut crunch, lemon passion fruit sorbet, rum-soaked pineapple cake. - Berry Yummy Par-tea ($16), earl grey soaked sponge cake, yuzu curd, spiced blackberries. - Chocolate Basil Brownie Bash ($16), olive oil semifreddo, chocolate fennel crunch, basil granita. The meal was just phenomenal!  All the savory dishes were cooked perfectly with bold flavors; the meats were tender and full of flavors.  There were dishes that we normally would not have ordered if we saw them on menus of other restaurants.  Here, we tried them and were delighted that we did!  Our consensus is that Roasted Pig Face is our most favorite! It is everything we love in a comfort dish -- crispy on the outside, meltingly tender inside, and packed with rich, balanced flavor.  We will definitely order this again!  The Confit Goat Belly is a close second, with buttery, fall-apart meat and just the right balance of richness, acidity, and crunch. For dessert, "Vacation, Please!" is the one that we will always come back for. The toasted coconut crunch adds texture, the lemon passion fruit sorbet brings a refreshing tang, and the rum-soaked pineapple cake ties it all together with just the right amount of sweetness.  The other two desserts that we ordered were also very good.  The staff even brought out a scoop of Chocolate Ice Cream on the house, with two lit candles to celebrate our anniversary - a thoughtful touch that made the evening even more memorable.  This dessert spread was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. I'd like to mention that the restaurant added a 4% surcharge to the bill, which the customer may request to have the surcharge remove if you choose.  We let them keep it. We spent about two hours at the restaurant. The savory dishes came out very quickly, the pace probably was even a tad too fast, but the desserts made up for it by taking a longer time.  We did not mind as we were still full, and had time to enjoy the ambiance more.  I would say it is a restaurant great for group gathering and celebratory functions, but not so much for intimate romantic date night.  All in all, it was a wonderful dinner, we look forward to returning again.

I was there the other week (I've been here at least five times before), and a busser--not our…read morewaiter--started clearing both of our plates before we were finished eating. We each only had a couple of bites left, but it definitely gave off an "okay, you're done now" vibe. Then he went to take the green beans (arguably the cult classic on the menu), and we still had more than half of them left. I had to stop him and say, "Yeah, we're not done with those. We paid for them. Can you put them in a to-go box instead?" For context, it was about 20 minutes before closing, but we ordered with plenty of time and were already eating with a "get in, eat, and get out" mindset. I've just never had someone at a restaurant start clearing plates while we were still actively eating--without asking, "Are you finished?" "Can I clear this?" or "Would you like a to-go box?" It was just... "You're done, these are leaving now." We were there for less than 45 minutes, left about 15 minutes before closing, and spent over $200 (not including the tip). With so many options in Chicago, I don't see myself coming back here.

We started with the Spicy Salmon Tartare, and it was absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful, and the perfect appetizer. For my main meal I ordered the filet mignon Steak cooked medium rare with sunny side up eggs, home fries, and hollandaise sauce. The steak was cooked beautifully!! Very tender and melted in my mouth and so full of flavor. A huge shoutout to our server, Zach. He was truly amazing! He was attentive to every need and so friendly. He made sure we never had an empty drink. Our water and sparkling water were constantly refreshed, and our empty plates were cleared almost immediately. I also want to recognize Eric, the General Manager, and Kiffa, the manager, who both stopped by our table and introduced themselves to us throughout our meal to make sure everything was perfect.
