Went here like 4 times already. They have amazing ribs that just melts in your mouth! It is open 24 hours too so when you have a late night craving, head over there! They have great service! The only thing I've had there was their ribs and they were amazing! Their sides that I got were fries; which were decent, and their garlic toast bread; which tasted like heaven! Would give five but they only had one waitress for a large area on a holiday Monday. This is a truck stop, not a new place like Black Bear down the street, so have to judge accordingly. My breakfast was cooked as ordered, and was perfect for the price. I'm pretty picky about breakfast because I don't go out often for such an easy meal to cook. If you are on the road, I would go here for the quality compared to BB down the street. If ambiance and quantity of food is more important, the BB should be your choice. Went here after a night of drinking at 3 AM. We sat next to a few truckers but not that many. I was very shocked that there would be a 24 hour spot in this part of Sacramento. Went here last night with my husband, sister and brother - we had a great dinner - portions are huge - I had the CFS breakfast, loved it, my sister had a ham and cheese on rye she said it was great - my husband and brother decided to go with appetizers for their meal hehehe... they had Chicken Strips, Fries and all in nachos - we had so much food on our table I thought we were gonna have to move to a bigger table - lol Our waitress was Karen and she was awesome! Everything was exactly the way we ordered and she even remembered my extra gravy (no charge)!!! Had heard of this place and thought I'd give it a try! I had breakfast that was pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. It came out BARELY lukewarm with more spots of being cold. It looked and tasted like it was all frozen food, heated in a microwave and left out while other plates were heated up due to having one microwave. First of all I was very excited to visit this place! We sat ourselves near the register, there were two waitress on duty. My husband and I looked over the menu I grabbed from the counter for about 15-20 minutes,still no hello or acknowledgment from the staff. Very poor service on the staff and owners part. Spacious to say the least, there's the televisions. Food comes out in a decent time. Their menu is very different, example chicken stroganoff is very good. They have totally changed their business model from coffee shop/sit down restaurant with servers, to a quick serve place. The interior remodel was very nice, but the food was served cafeteria style- cold and tasteless. You ordered at the counter from a menu on the wall (that didn't even have all their menu items listed, like burgers) and waited for your food. You bring it to your table, you fetched your silverware, you fetched your napkins, condiments, drinks. It must make money because only one chef and one person behind the counter plopping food from steam tables onto your plate. If the food was hot or good it might be okay, but it was neither. My family was tired of ordering take out and bringing home lukewarm food and this place was open for dine-in. Should have gone for the take out elsewhere. Overall service was slow today. I've been here and it has been better. But the main reason I'm here today is to warn others of the terrible chicken Parmesan they serve. Great pancakes and breakfast food - if you're there for lunch or dinner it's a big let down. I had the pot roast and it was incredibly dry, which pot roast should definitely not be.
