The service is friendly in a seedy area. The restaurant looked clean, but didn't feel clean. The food was bland and nasty. I couldn't eat it after spending $15+ on it. Do yourself a favor and find a restaurant inside the Strat, if that's where you're staying.

We came here on multiple occasions when we were staying at The Strat on EDC week, and since it's very convenient and we didn't have to Uber around. The food was great and not too salty! We ate a variety of noodles, rice, and proteins, and we also ordered sandwiches to go, and it was still good even when it got cold lol! The only complaint was when we ordered the shrimp, they shorted us 2 pieces (not cool!) The service was fast, and employees were nice. It's also a small casino with loud music. Overall, this will be our go-to spot when we're staying at the Strat; we'll just have to count the shrimps next time before we leave, and see y'all next year! LOL

For the value, I don't think that a sit down service restaurant on the strip. The best part of this restaurant other than the restaurant's price is the speed. You can easily get in and out in less than 30 min. They do not serve alcohol and your food comes on paper plates but the value is there. I don't think anything the menu is over $15. Crab Rangoon- 8/10 Bagel sandwich- 8/10 Gyro - 6/10 Fries- 9/10 The place isn't nice but if you're staying at the strat this is a better option than about anything in there. I would absolutely come back and try and eat a less greasy option than I had but if you're trying to beat a hangover, this is it

Ordered the number 2 - eggs, toast and sausage. I got bacon instead of sausage. Bacon was a disaster . Added hash browns. This is a NO frills kind of place . Orange juice in a plastic cup. Condiments in a plastic basket. Air conditioning works . Service is...there? I don't know what one expects from a place like this. Not much. Wow. Meal of sadness. Precooked eggs. Cold toast . Grape jelly. Eggs were not edible should have gotten over easy or something that couldn't have been precooked. Damn. Would not revisit .

If you're staying at The Strat and your wallet's seen better days, the $5 Café is your closest lifeline--literally less than a one-minute walk. Don't let the name fool you, though. Only one menu item rings in at five bucks, and that's for breakfast. The rest? Still affordable, but not quite the deal the name implies. This spot is unapologetically a dive. Meals come on paper plates, drinks cost extra (no free tap water), and there's a $1 fee for card payments. That said, if you're feeding a family or Lady Luck didn't show up at the tables, this place fills a gap. The menu is a wildcard blend of American, Mexican, Thai, and even a single Vietnamese dish. I visited twice--once for dinner and again for breakfast. Dinner: I ordered the Pad Thai. The server was friendly, and I was surprised when asked how spicy I wanted it--on a scale of 1 to 10 stars. That's a first for me, even as someone who's had Thai food in plenty of cities. I went with 5 stars, which ended up being pretty mild. The portion was generous, and the service was warm, even if the vibe was no-frills. Breakfast: The next morning, I came back for a breakfast burrito. It was massive, hot, and filling, but served with the tiniest spoonful of stone-cold salsa. Heating up the salsa and offering a bit more would go a long way. The burrito itself was fine, but nothing memorable. The Fine Print (Literally): * No tap water - bottled water is $1 * $1 fee for card payments * Groups? Only one person can pay, then it's Venmo time * Mandatory $2 tip on my breakfast bill -- I refused it. Why? Because the service is minimal: they take your order, bring the food, and that's it. No frills. No real hospitality. Bottom Line: The $5 Café is a quirky, budget-friendly fallback with plenty of options and a location that's hard to beat. Just know what you're walking into: average food, minimal service, surprise fees, and a heavy reliance on paper goods. Go if you're hungry, broke, or curious--but maybe not if you're expecting much more than the basics.

The Good is that The food came out quick. It was simple and presented super Hom-E. The food was ok. We ordered pancakes, a breakfast sandwich. Chicken and waffles; the chicken was like a flat chicken strip., side of potatoes had a very peculiar lemony peppery taste, and the hash brown was flat and greasy. Nothing exciting about any of them. The best was the waffle and my over hard egg. The hibiscus drink was too sweet and not a natural flavor. The lemon honey drink was horrible, I can't even describe that! But the Biggest turn off for me was after sitting and eating my food looking around and realizing I was surrounded by dust everywhere. I could only imagine what the places i couldn't see behind the kitchen look like. It would be a good idea to invest some time dusting.

Y'all are absolutely sleeping on this place. The wait staff is incredibly friendly, the food is FAST and it's wonderful! We are from South Arkansas and this is our kind of breakfast. We were able to sit down immediately and both had breakfast for under $25 in Vegas. Unheard of. They have a $5 breakfast special as well so you can eat here on the real cheap. Perfect cafe. Perfect breakfast. WE WILL BE BACK!

Good breakfast and very cheap and good budget option compared to other places. Chill environment and the service was friendly too and the food came very fast and the music playing was a nice touch too.

Experience: We were a party of 2 and waited about 10 mins for our table. Once seated we were greeted by our server. We have been here once before and dreamt about it since. Thankfully, the food quality matched what we remembered from our first experience. We ordered a variety of dishes to share and ended taking back to our hotel. Tom yum, pad kee mao, fried rice, curry and soft shell crab. Honestly, i felt like one of your foodie youtubers with the spread on our table. Each dish was made well and with care - we enjoyed every bite we were able to eat and would recommend coming here out of any place on the strip. Note: check our their whiskey list - they have alot of options from all.

We ordered the pad see ew, squid, moo yang( pork) and sea bass, plus banana for dessert. If you want to check it out, you can use my link to get $50 off $150: https://go.inkind.com/1ZN1PNT3 The pad see ew was decent, good flavor but nothing that really stood out. The pork was okay, a bit chewy and the sauce was the only thing I enjoyed. The sea bass was also just okay, I expected a bit more depth and wow factor for the price. Dessert (banana) was simple and enjoyable, but not super memorable. Overall, it's a solid spot, but didn't fully live up to the hype this time around. I'd still be open to trying other dishes on the menu.

The highlight was the unexpected tableside service. For a smaller neighborhood gem, getting that level of care and attention right at our table was incredibly impressive and made the meal feel truly special. If you want to support an amazing local family business that treats you right and serves up delicious food at a great price, this is your spot. I'll definitely be back!

No biggie, I understand that things get busy. Both dishes tasted far too sweet for me. Personal preference, I suppose. Biggest issue was the amount of rice given with the basil chicken. It barely amounted to two tablespoons. How is one expected to eat what is assumed to be a flavorful dish with such a paltry amount of rice, 9.95 or not? Also, the basil chicken mostly consisted of onions and peppers. Not traditional, so I assume it is used to bulk it up so the chicken can be skimped on. Skip this place!
