We stumbled upon this Vietnamese restaurant while walking around Fair City Mall. It was spacious and quiet during lunch. There is a stage with a drum set and microphone which I believe they use it for karaoke nights. We took two young kids with us for lunch and dinner one other time. As the restaurant is spacious, I did not feel stressed catering to my kids' needs. The staff is accommodating, they make sure the food is away from the kids and they also bring extra utensils for them. The family bathroom has changing tables. The food presentation is great. I had pork over vermicelli and it was delicious. One may argue the food portion is too small, but I think prices are going up everywhere. They also have hotpot, various rice and noodle dishes. Will recommend!

One of those restaurants that is perfect for parties! This place used to be a korean bbq spot and now turned into a vietnamese bar and lounge place! The place it self is very big and they often have live show and karaoke night so perfect for a night out with the girls! I think it's perfect for age 35+ and up vibe. The food are absolutely delicious! Haven't been dissappointed with their food quality yet! They offer variety types of food from noodle soups to rice to seafood! Service is quick and staff are friendly! I recommend this place for birthday events pr if you want to see some vietnamese celebrities!

I came for a lunar new year event, and I was surprised by how large the space was. There is a full bar in the back, and so many seats. There are also private rooms on the sides and a big stage and dance floor. I'd love to see it operate as a restaurant without a big banquet, but I'm sure it would be nice and fine dining. I really enjoyed their nuoc mam (fish sauce) wings! It was sooo good! Their eggrolls were really good too, very authentic. The drinks were very good and they have variety of liquor. They didn't have ginger beer though for you Moscow mule lovers . They also have a coat check room in the front. It's located in the corner in fair city mall near the theater, so there's an abundance of parking.

Seriously a FANTASTIC restaurant from private events, happy hour and SEAFOOD Wednesdays! They're a crowd pleaser establishment that my friends and family all love. The staff is very close to one another, you can tell they operate as a team. Traditional Vietnamese cuisine with some great modern additions as well as seasonal items. This is not a pho or noodle house and if you haven't yet tried you're definitely missing out!

This place is amazing! It offers a large space for 450 people seated. Great for wedding receptions, birthday parties, family reunions, graduations, company events, and other special occasions. There are separate large private dining rooms as well. The large stage would be ideal for bands, karaoke, and other special events. The full bar offers signature cocktails, beers, craft beers, soju, sake, and a large wine list. The drinks are made just right - balanced in the best way! MENU: They have a grand opening menu temporarily but the full menu will be revealed soon. Everything from seafood, stir fried noodles, and Asian salads. Simply amazing upscale Asian food! I'm excited to see what this place had to offer in the future!

We had a buy-out of the corner restaurant for our group of 300+. The bar could barely keep up. Our food was served buffet style and I'll give a thumbs up for the quality and quantity served which is much different than most buffets. I liked it and could go back for 2nds and 3rds if necessary. A nice touch was a coat check-in too. A bouncer kept the partiers in-line = good. Not bad for accommodating us.

We walked into 54 Restaurant and immediately loved how spacious and clean it was. The staff was so warm and welcoming! The Canh Ga Chien Nuoc Mam (Wings) were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and that fish sauce glaze was so yummy. The Bo Ne Luc Lac + Banh Mi (Sizzling Beef with Bread) was perfect, tender beef, creamy pate, and fresh, warm bread all coming together in one bite. The Tom Nuong Muoi Ot (Chili Pepper Grilled Shrimp) was smoky, spicy, and so flavorful, I couldn't stop eating it. And the Hu Tieu Bo Vien (Rice noodle soup with beef balls) was really authentic and tasty. I'm sharing pics of the food because y'all need to see how good this looks (and tastes!). Every dish felt like it was made with love and care.

The Viet Chien (fried fish balls) were not bad tasting but definitely over cooked and too chewy). The salt and pepper shrimp were seriously over cooked and an unpleasant texture. Regardless of the food (with which we were not enamored), the atmosphere was ruined by some jackass singer/musician warming up for his performance and running hideously loud sound checks of his equipment and microphone on the stage at the end of the room. If he had turned down the mike just a tad, maybe we would have had a better time? The restaurant was not crowded, so maybe he was trying to make up for it.

Had such a good time here! Came here for the Drink NOVA meetup/with my HH group. Drinks and food are delicious. They have good happy hour prices Monday-Friday. Really tasty Vietnamese food and locally owned and operated! Service here was really good and cannot wait to come back!!

Omgggg the food was so good and super authentic! The portions were great and I love trying sauces and they had some amazing chili sauces. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Even the bartender came over to check on me. I love that they have private rooms for parties and there's booth sections to sit at. The decor was chic and very relaxing. Food though was a 10 out of 10!! I'm coming back with friends and trying more dishes next time!!

54 Restaurant and Lounge in Fairfax is hands down my favorite Vietnamese spot in the DMV! The food is consistently fresh and flavorful, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Some of my favorites include the crispy fried tofu, the perfectly seasoned fried prawns, and the tender five spice steak. The hu tieu is also a must-try. The service here is always friendly and attentive, which makes the dining experience even better. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a casual meal or special occasion. If you're craving something truly delicious, I highly recommend checking this place out! PS. On the weekends they have a live band/DJ on stage!

My brother and I was in the area, as we search for unique restaurants. As we were walking in, we didn't realize there was a private event going on as we were ask if we were attending it. The server then took us to the left of the restaurant as the private event was in the front. Plenty of parking, the interior was clean, spacious with a full bar; private dining rooms with a door and a small stage. The music was so loud, we couldn't hear each other talk. We order 5 items: 1) Salted tofu 2) Beef stew 3) Five spice grilled steak 4) Pork skewers with vegetables 5) Bok choy with vegetables. The salted tofu laid in a bed of salad, topped with fried garlic and peppers and garnish with fried shredded lemongrass. It was good. The beef stew was served with rice noodles but there wasn't enough broth so the noodles absorbed it. The 5 spice steak that arrive in a wooden platter, served with pickled vegetables and some sort of sauce. The sauce had an after taste and steak lacked seasoning. We were disappointed by the cut and thickness of the steak which wasn't worth $27. The skewer was okay it lacked salt. The bok choy with vegetables was good that also was served with a bowl of white rice. Our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.

The drinks were affordable and strong, which was a definite plus. However, my main issue with The Lodge is the seating situation near the stage. If you're sitting in front, be prepared for people to stand directly in front of you during the drag show. I would've preferred if the drag queens, owner, or even security had stepped in to ask them to move. It was frustrating to have 6-foot-tall, 300-pound women completely block our view--especially after paying $18 per ticket. Also, watch out for this one wild white lady in a black shirt and floral shorts who acts invisible and blocks multiple people. If you ask her politely to move, she'll argue with you and even try to escalate things by telling you to "step outside" like she's about that life. Overall, for our first drag show, we had fun--but if you're going to enjoy the performance, be ready to be annoyed because no one there is enforcing basic courtesy or crowd control. From the greeting by one of the owners of this fine dining oasis to his two subsequent table visits; to the perky, unpretentious, attentive server; to the decor and abundant floral arrays; and to the variety and imagination of the many menu choices, we validated that quality. The Coconut Poached Halibut and the Pan Seared Scallops we ordered arrived in a timely fashion after we enjoyed the excellent bread course, followed by a surprise gift the restaurant offered, as well as our two salads. The Watermelon & Arugala salad and the Strawberry Burrata salad were fresh, outside the norm, delicious and presented artistically. The main courses themselves were truly memorable. We agreed that we couldn't have made better choices. Saucing was outstanding. Finally, the desserts. What a finish to a delectable meal! Chai Creme Brulee and Raspberry and White Chocolate Cheesecake were our choices. They were simply scrumptious. We will remember The Bourbon and Fig for the next occasion. We were lucky to find a real gem where people can relax and be unhurried. The atmosphere, the meal, the service and, again, the quality convey an attention to excellence. When you can find those elements together, you have a winner.

My friend and I went to celebrate her 80th birthday and I wanted everything to be so beautiful--and delicious--for her day. Bourbon & Fig fit the bill and exceeded my expectations. She noticed the rose on the table, the cover on the dainty sugar bowl, the steak knife resting on the edge of the blade (!), the pillow on the bench seating to separate us from the lovely couple next door, and the thistle on the wallpaper. I could go on, but I wouldn't have room for the food review! She practically swooned for the strawberry burrata salad. We both laughed at the "dirty" mashed potato (she thought it looked like a pine cone on the plate!), and artfully placed asparagus. We both had the filet mignon which was done just right for her--mine was ordered rare and didn't meet my standard: bleeding all over the plate but it was OK. Dessert was a dish of vanilla gelato with a sparkler for her and mine was--aaah, a chocolate dome--heaven. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Jackie, our server. A font of information about the restaurant, its origins, its owners, the food. She made our dinner such a wonderful experience. My friend has already made plans to lunch with her friends there! On another note: the support staff for the servers are mostly young people and we noted that they are receiving an outstanding education in the fine art of serving, clearing, and being unobtrusive. They are receiving an A-1 experience in the fine art of owning a topnotch restaurant. From beginning to end, thank you for making my friend's birthday one she thoroughly enjoyed. I'm SO glad we went. Reservations are going to be a must here, and better make them well ahead of time if you want them for a special occasion. Thank you, Bourbon & Fig for a spectacular dinner.

Decided on this little spot in Fairfax town center after having a quick weekend day trip to DC. Really pleasantly surprised with the whole atmosphere of the place. It's a true fusion of asian bites but still a legitimate dive bar. The space is small, patrons are merry, and the whole place is an absolute vibe. I ordered some pilsner and some other lager on tap from local breweeies. Delicious. Ordered popcorn chicken, pork belly, and some 'real food' - a quick rice bowl with chicken. The fried bites were wonderfully crispy. They have good oil management and felt quite light especially with a swig of a cold lager. The rice bowl was tasty too. Construction was indeed very Taiwanese, and yet... I still felt like I'm in a dive bar complete with all its grunge. So cool They sell 4/6 packs of craft brews here too.
