Popped in this ale house for a quick early afternoon lunch. We were immediately helped and seated outside along the waterway. Chelsea are server was very efficient , outgoing and overall fantastic. We ordered a fish and chips and an albacore tuna reuban. Both dishes came out very quickly were hot and delicious. Tons of different beer and mixed drink options. Also numerous food options. Whole experience start to finish , probably took us about thirty five minutes. A little on the pricey side , but a good place to stop and sample beers, have a drink , quick lunch or even a larger dinner type meal. There is indoor outdoor and bar seating available. Newer building and the bathrooms were also very clean.

Such a great spot overlooking the water with a brewery tap house feel and cool art work. Service is always phenomenal. First time trying the Charleston ling cod with lemon cous cous and asparagus. Perfect seafood dinner when on the coast.

Consistently delicious and excellent quality food. I always experience wonderful service. The atmosphere is welcoming to all, families just off the beach, a dating couple or more formal. They have their own local and Oregon beer and assortment of local and Oregon wine as well as a full bat. You will enjoy your visit.

Hello! We really enjoyed our first time at your restaurant! Chelsea gave us great service! She was very friendly, personable and professional. The steelhead meal was amazing as well as the rockfish fish and chips lunch. We will definitely be back!

I stopped by for lunch while I was in Coos Bay. I had a bowl of clam chowder and it was delicious. It came with some crispy Parmesan bread rounds. Nice waterfront view, and service was great.

Worth the wait! We got there at prime dinner time and had a wait, but definitely worth it. The views of the inlet/bay at sunset was beautiful. The smoked chicken with the cherry bourdon glaze was Smokey, flavorful, and sticky. The perfect complement to the chicken and the herb roasted potatoes. The sweetness and creaminess of the creamed corn completed the steelhead trout. The greens with bacon was the saltiness that the dish needed to balance it out without over powering the delicate fish. Oh and the braised beef with roasted carrots was the perfect soul warming dish after hiking out in the chilly weather. Very flavorful! Also we are from bourbon country (Kentucky) and their list did not disappoint! The prices were some of the best we've ever seen! Overall the Alehouse is definitely worth stopping for dinner and maybe a drink or two.

Great fish and chips! The beer batter is super light and crispy and the fish was tender and flakey. Wonderful coleslaw too. The IPA was delicious. It's a cozy place to hang out on a stormy day and the service was warm and welcoming.

The place was gorgeous, clean and relatively busy yet people were space out enough that it wasn't loud. The service was decent - our waitress was not bad but nothing particularly special. She had to be called over a few times when things were needed, she took our order, dropped the food and never came back. We had to go up to the bar to get our check and some boxes since we didn't see her and she never came over. Food seemed pretty good all around. Nobody had any complaints except for me, the ribs were the absolute driest thing I had ever eaten. But my dad's fish and chips were delicious, the mac n cheese was so great and my drink was out quickly and delicious. This spot was very pricey, considering what was served I was a bit shocked by the prices.

    Fish & Chips were FABULOUS!!!

Sarah was an excellent server - friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better! Our table of four ordered two fish & chips to share, and I'm glad we did. The portions were huge - definitely too much for one person. The fish was fresh, flaky, and perfectly fried. The tartar sauce was very good, and the fries were hot and tasty, though the coleslaw was just okay. Hubby started with a Caesar salad that was a 10/10, maybe more! He and my dad really enjoyed their Spindrift IPA, and I appreciated that the ice water was crisp and refreshing (always a win since that's all I drink). Beautiful location with a view of the water. I just wish we had saved room for dessert - there's a mousse pie that sounded absolutely amazing!

We wanted to go somewhere special for my daughters 21st birthday and thought this place would be nice. It was newer, clean and the location was right on the river. We were seated right away and our waitress gave us window seating so we could have a river view. I told the waitress it was my daughters birthday, hoping they would do something special for her later. We ordered a few drinks and made our food order. It took about 20 minutes before we were served. I ordered the burger and fries. My hubby ordered the fish and chips and my daughter ordered the mac N cheese. Everything looked good, however, my fries were lacking warmth and my burger bun was stale. It was not soft and fresh. I ended up not eating the bun, but just the burger itself. My daughters mac N cheese wasn't as great as she expected either. It was bland and dry. Yes, it had cheese, but it was stringy and not creamy. My husband loved his fish and chips. Hot and fresh and looked amazing. I did have a bite and it did taste really good. Note taken: Do NOT order anything but the fish and chips. When we were finished a new waitress gave us our receipt and asked if we needed anything else. I wanted to tell her we needed more water, but we were ready to go. I wish they would have filled up the carafe of water "before" I was about to leave. And..on top of that...no birthday surprise for my daughter. Some places sing a song or give a small dessert. But nope...not here. Oh well...I think I'll skip this place for any kind birthday celebrations.

Very friendly staff large open bar and restaurant. Clam chowder was very good, but like most clam chowder in the United States it's hard to find any clams in them . But I would recommend the clown chowder. Calamari and the oysters were lightly breaded very tasteful would definitely recommend them

We were in Coos Bay with our dogs for our anniversary and were so excited to be able to sit out on the patio near the waterfront with them to enjoy 7 Devils for the first time. We started with some Fried Calamari, a Blood Orange Old Fashioned, and a Grin & Pear It. Then we moved on to the Smoked Fish Trio and Chili Green Beans. Finally, we ended with the Chocolate Stout Mousse Bar paired with the McCullough Mocha Stout. All of the food and drinks were incredibly fresh and flavorful, and each item on the menu looked enticing - definitely hard to narrow it down! Our server was friendly and accommodating to our needs while we had our dogs in tow. I do wish the music had played outside as well as inside but we had a great experience either way.

Draper is an excellent brewery in my mind. The beers are experimental and creative with their beers making some pretty unusual beers that taste great! We have had three of their beers so far on two separate occasions and both times the beers were very impressive and enjoyable! One of the beers we had was the Thumb Ring. A Wild Ale that was excellent. It was aged on peaches, blackberries and coconut. Flavors featured with this beer are tartness, peachy, cherry and a hint of purposeful mustiness. Wit Bat was another beer we had. Also a Wild Ale this beer was wonderful also! Flavors to find with this Ale are tartness and jam like. The jam like qualities come from the marionberries and the Coriander brings it an extra depth. A very effervescent and elegant Ale. The third beer we had was the Earl of Tenmile. This was a Sour Ale with flavors of tart, sour, some sweetness and a clean finish. It is a blend of two and four year spontaneously fermented Ales. Such great beers and ales Draper has to offer and I would love to continue to explore with more of their beverage options which I hope would be in the near future.

With a storm blowing in we were craving some clam chowder. Homegrown did satisfy that craving! Unfortunately, service was a little slow because there was only one waiter. Luckily, we were in no rush. Appearance - The warm string lights created a nice, cozy vibe. (Maybe the rained helped too!) Overall, the food was plated well. Taste- Garlic Parmesan fries- mmm so delicious with a yummy aioli to dip them in! Would highly recommend! Caution if you're sensitive to garlic... be aware that the parmesan can easily be mistaken for garlic chunks! Steamers- My husband got this and said it was very fresh and he enjoyed the broth. I tried it but I'm not a huge wine person and to me the broth was very heavy wine flavored. Fried Fish Cod Sandwich- Unfortunately I learned on this outing that I don't really love cod. The fish on this sandwich was not very meaty.

Honestly, you can choose from any number of places in the Old Town area in Florence. But if you…read morefancy a fabulous burger, other great food options, or maybe a cold craft beer, then Beachcomber might just be your spot. One thing to bear in mind is that this is still a BAR: that means no one under the age of 21 may cross the threshold. But, if weather allows, anyone of any age can sit outside. Beachcomber has several picnic tables set up, a few with umbrellas as they extended seating to the street, and that makes for a comfortable dining option in fair weather. There are a number of constant taps as well as seasonal/rotated local offerings. If you're an Untappd user, like me, then you can even check their beer options on the app ahead of time, or sign in while you're there so you can nerd out whilst enjoying your beer. I'm a sucker for anything malty, and when in a phenomenal beer-producing area like the PNW, then you will have plenty of Oregon/Washington choices. Fresh-hopped beer hits different when you're near the source. The burgers dot the menu, but do not miss the onion rings. These things are like beer-battered life preservers, so you probably will want to share because it's a HUGE pile of food. We've had burgers & other sammiches, but this past time I dove in for the highlighted Green Donkey. Well, 'we' dove in, because it's another enormous portion and sharing was the smart play. A marriage of beef & beans smothered in their queso and guac makes for a fantastic (albeit filling) lunch. I washed that down with a Pineapple Mana Wheat from Maui Brewing, a gently-hopped, light-bodied ale with that fruity finish. OK, so it's not 'local' but it is 'seasonal' and it's a great glass of bier. Service inside or out is quick and friendly, and they'll always offer a suggestion to fit your food or beer palate. I love doing local and Beachcomber represents that local anchor that is befitting of anyplace that has survived over three decades. You're on your own for parking, but there is a public lot a block or so away, plus you get a chance to window shop along the way. Beachcomber is 100% worth the stop, even if it's just to get off your feet, but enjoy the fare as well.
