We came around 11am, sat at the bar for breakfast. We had the biscuits and gravy, monte Cristo And corn beef hash breakfast. The biscuits were tough, seemed like they were reheated in a microwave. Still not bad since the gravy was very good.My sun enjoyed the CB hash. I didn't taste it but the home fries were good. Grits were a pass but the Monte Cristo was great. This is a cute place and clearly popular with the locals as well. The food was standard breakfast fare. My one issue is that they overcharged us and when I brought it to their attention, she gave some long answer but her math was still wrong. They refused to bill us for the individual items we ordered and instead billed a higher priced item to punch in just one record instead of each individual one. read more

Cute little place. Easy to get to. We had just walked a really long way so we were hot. They have dockside seating outside which would have been great but we preferred the air conditioned room today. Pros: Had breakfast and it was freaking delicious! I had the pancakes, with two eggs, and a side of fruit. Hubby had the pancakes, with eggs, potatoes, and bacon. We were both soooooo happy with our choices! The portions are large, we couldn't finish our meal. The view was nice, we sat by the water but in the AC. The waiter was outstanding, he made sure we had the best service possible! Give that man a raise! Cons: There was a little issue with our pancakes at first, they tasted lemony. We told our waiter and he tasted them, they had cooked our pancakes on the same spot where they had just cooked a dish with lemon pepper butter. We were so disappointed in the 7 Mile Grill.  We arrived after reading good reviews and loving the ambiance, but after being greeted by a waitress who was angry at the world, at herself and at us, we sat down for some quick seafood and were met with overdone fried food that tasted like ... overdone fried food.  We should have known, when the waitress told us they were famous for their gyros (in the Keys??), and the gyros salad was great.  Fried shrimp sent back to the kitchen were replaced with good fried shrimp, but the rest of our meals were really inedible.  There are better places to stop for ambiance and bar food. read more

The We did get the Spicy tuna crunchy rice cake and they were the best thing we ate all vacation, that's where the good news stops though. The waitress seemed like she didn't know what was on the menu, told us we needed to order now or to not order at all. I got the NC style BBQ sandwich and being from NC it was a sad excuse for bbq. The sauce was straight sugar and the pork was very dry. The bun was dripping from something, not sure what. My friends got fish for 16$ and it was the smallest skinniest piece of snapper I've ever seen. This place is definitely a skip unless everything else is closed. read more
