A dive bar serving Filipino and American food. They have a great outdoor patio and weather in this part is usually pretty nice. We had our gender reveal with our close family here a few years ago + proposal here so it holds special memories for me. It's a local spot and easy to get to. Although parking here can be tough to find and I feel like their hours are a bit strange - sometimes I'll pass by thinking they're open on a normal business hour but they're closed. Food here is good. I don't usually get the Filipino food here. I've tried some but it didn't impress me so I wouldn't come here for Filipino food. I usually go here for the American dishes. My favorite is the fried pork chops! Best dish I've tried from here. It feels pretty expensive every time we go here too and they don't have a kids menu. Service could be better. Overall, I would still come here time to time since it's conveniently close to where I am. read more

Time to try this legendary place. A rich history dating back from 1858 to present.  I have been wanting to check this place out. Heard a lot of great things about this place. From its history, the service/staff, the ambiance, and the food.  All of my expectations were met and exceeded. Also, to celebrate Filipino-American History Month, they always celebrate Ube Bake Off. What we ordered: Chicken Adobo Rice: It's great! Love it. But would love to suggest if they would make it a little dryer for a more appetizing and flavorful chicken adobo. Our friend ordered this.  Fish and Chips: Well, as an avid fan of fish and chips, I'd say it's one of the best I've had. The meal I ordered. New York Steak: Not much of a steak person. Not far from our hotel, this little historic Mile House was a convenient place to grab a meal on our first and last days. Small, so if you don't have a reservation, you might wait a bit. Its worth it, I promise. My first experience.was their garlic truffle fries, which we indulged in on both days, are divine! Perfectly little crisp potato sticks covered in garlic and truffle oil. This is a hole in the wall for sure if we're talking location. It's like in a wild west movie where there's a bar in the middle of nowhere. Except in modern day so the roads are paved and across the bar is a bunch of nothing. Very hipster vibe. And I loved this. The menu seemed seasonal and was rotating. It was a mix of some Filipino and mostly American food. Had the Pork Adobo, 7 Mile Burger, and wings. The Adobo was packed full of flavor, maybe a little on the saltier side. But a solid choice for Filipino food lovers. The burger was on a brioche bun and came with a side fries. Really enjoyed the topping on there but didn't stand out too much but still high quality. The chicken had a very good sauce on it, very Asian influenced. The mixed drinks were very well made and the happy hour options were great. The servers we very nice and friendly. We came here for dinner after Cow Palace and got the fish tacos, the cioppino and the veggie Alfredo and all of it was definitely above our expectations. Absolutely satisfied my gfs pasta craving 100% and my seafood craving 100% and was 10/10 for both. As good as any seafood restaurants best seafood that would be 2x the price but affordable and delicious. If anything on the menu looks good, it's probably REALLY good. Time is one thing you can never get back in life, so nothing frustrates me more than when someone wastes it. Since I was in the neighborhood, I decided to try 7-Mile House. I ordered takeout and was informed that the wait would be 25 minutes. No problem; I sat in my car and waited. After 25 minutes, I approached the host stand, only to be told that my food was not ready and would take another 5 minutes. Ten minutes later, I walked up to the host stand again. The host went to the kitchen to check on my order. Another 5 minutes passed, and my food still wasn't ready. Finally, the hostess returned and informed me that my order had been given to someone else, and they now had to remake it in a rush. Making your food in a rush is never a good sign. At this point, I was really irritated. This is why I rarely eat out--my experiences are usually disappointing. I had only ordered two items: a cheesecake slice that was already pre-made and another half-created item. After waiting an hour to receive my order (see picture), you'll understand why this should've never taken an hour to prepare, nor should it cost $33. This is embarrassing. When I noticed how the food was prepared, I immediately went back to return it and get a refund. You can't buy time, and you can't reverse it. I will never get back the hour wasted at this mediocre restaurant. Even though the manager refunded the bill, this experience was so off-putting that I would never return. read more

Having not been in several years, my husband and I were inspired to revisit 7 Mile after hearing a critics be super hyped about it on TV! Sadly, we were disappointed. The family- and dog- friendly, sports bar atmosphere was great, but service was super slow. The waitress told us the family at the next table left without paying. I remember seeing them looking around for her desperately for a while, and I'm guessing they left after not getting their bill. The menu was exciting but the actual food was OK, nothing mind blowing. We had the adobo, Brazilian stew, chicken wings, and lumpia, all of which was average. The mango margaritas were too sweet, but my son's virgin Mojito was really good. If I'm in the area and looking for a family friendly bar (?), or I need to go somewhere where my dog will have his own menu, I'll probably be back, but otherwise I'll skip it next time. read more

Cute little old school bar and food place! Skipped on the drinks this time around but the food was delicious. (But it did take them a while to bring it out but everything is cooked fresh!). Parking is along the road and can be a bit difficult but not impossible! The 7 mile burger is a classic American style cheeseburger and you can substitute garlic fries if you want. The garlic fries comes with a LOT of minced garlic on top and are still very crispy! The adobo with rice was fragrant and you could cut the meat with a spoon! Comes on a hot plate so it's served nice and warm! The ube tres leches is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Award winning and limited portions each day, make sure you try a piece before it sells out. The ube cheesecake was also pretty good and is topped with some coconut in syrup but I would 100% go for the tres leches first! I came here for Father's Day. This is my first time here. The food is really good to my surprise. For Father's Day all fathers get 1 free beer. As soon as we sat down the waiter came over to take our drink & appetizer order. We sat on the outside to eat and this place didn't disappoint. Where we sat there is 2 televisions with different games showing. The ambience is calm and mellow with background music playing. I remember coming here a lot when I was younger and it's been a while since we've been. When we went recently, we ordered the wings and sisig for appetizers. The wings were really good but the sisig barely tasted like it had meat in it and the flavor was okay. I ordered the salmon and half of it was pretty dry and bland. My boyfriend ordered a burger which he liked but it wasn't anything special and he said the bun was dry. For dessert, we shared the ube cheesecake and the texture wasn't as thick as a normal cheesecake and it had a strong butter flavor that made it too rich. My parents had a key lime pie which was good. Not a fan. I know, I know, this place has a lot of patrons. I don't get it but let me tell you why. It's the food. We ordered the following - **Fried calamari with garlic fries - photo looks great, what you don't see beneath the surface is the fries and calamari swimming in oil. Yes I know it is fried and I was not looking to eat healthy by ordering this, but to serve it soaking in oil is a big NO. I was trying to justify by thinking maybe it's garlic infused oil that makes the fries garlic fries however it didn't taste like it so it's probably cooking oil. Normally I would take home any leftovers because I super love fried squid, this one we did not even eat half of it and did not bother taking it home. ** Fish tacos - who pipes sour cream like a dessert on fish tacos like that? And why did it take so long to cook? This was the last item to come out. Their take on a fish taco is a grilled white fish fillet with melty cheese on a bed of pico de gallo wrapped in soft/crispy corn tortilla of your choice. The fish itself was lacking in "taco" seasoning and the cheese can be overwhelming. Cotija cheese would've been a good choice to let the flavors of the grilled fish shine. Steak Salpicao - this isn't salpicao. Maybe it's their own spin so I won't argue with what and how it should be. The flavors were off because it was really sour. Let me just say the best part was the cook on the beef because it was tender but the sauce is giving tart Mechado vibes. Mango Margarita - they had me at fresh Manila mangos. 7 Mile House is a very enjoyable place for Sunday brunch. The primary Sunday Brunch highlight is the $1.50 Blue Point Oysters that you can get until 4 PM. The $1.50 per oyster offer is also available Mondays all day. The oysters are big and fresh. Accompaniments include lemon, cocktail sauce, and horseradish. Years ago, there would be weekend BBQ specials. However, 7 Mile House currently is offering Fried Chicken and Ube Waffles on Sundays. My favorite dishes there so far are the comforting, tender FAMOUS PORK ADOBO WITH RICE and beautifully stacked and loaded CRAB AND AVOCADO SALAD. The Cioppino and Seafood Linguini were just OK. These are foods I'd be interested in try in the future: * Famous 7 Mile Burger = 1/2 pound of ground Angus Beef, bacon, and sauteed onions on a brioche bun * Brazilian Fish Chowder * Chicken Arroz Caldo * Deep Fried Pork Chops with a creamy mushroom horseradish sauce (looks like chicken fried steak) The Mango Margarita is their best-selling cocktail. The Ube-By Boba, Guavalicious, and Ube Colada look enticing in the Yelp photos. You can order your cocktails virgin, and there is also a separate list of Mocktails. I noticed this fun dessert on the menu: S'mores for 2 by the Firepit. Just ask the staff if the firepit is available. You need to find angled street parking on Bayshore Blvd in Brisbane. No restaurant parking lot. There are signs warning of car break-ins, so don't leave valuables visible in your car and lock your car. Bayshore Blvd is a busy main road, so not the most inviting area. 7 Mile House has a rich, colorful history, serving as a toll gate, stagecoach rest stop, brothel, and site for illegal gambling, moonshining, and bootlegging during Prohibition. Because the historic inn is dark, wooden, and a bit claustrophobic, I opt to dine outdoors. I prefer the covered wooden patio deck with red metal chairs and outdoor heat lamps. With outdoor dining, the restaurant is very dog-friendly with its upscale Dog Menu, which includes Grilled Angus Beef, Grilled Chicken, New York Steak, Peanut Butter Biscuits, Smoked Pig Ear, Dog Beer, and Dog Cigars! You can even host Dog Birthday Pawties here! Yappy Hour is every day from 3 to 6 PM. For humans, Happy Hour is also every day from 3 to 6 PM with a $7 menu of drinks and apps, including Pulled Pork Adobo Sliders. The friendly owner is a Filipina, which explains the fun Filipino menu items, like Sisig, NY Steak Salpicao, Manila Mango or Ube Cheesecake, Ube Tres Leches, and 4 types of Lumpia (pork, chicken, vegetable, and fish!) Every Easter Sunday, there is an amusing Mystery Easter Egg Roulette. No charge to participate, but you must eat what you pick from a basket of dyed Easter eggs. Possibilities include a regular hardboiled Chicken Egg, Salted Duck Egg, Century Egg, Balut, or a Pheasant Egg (or maybe it's a Quail Egg?). Only kids are allowed to choose the obviously smaller Pheasant Egg. I sadly made the mistake of believing Balut was a fertilized chicken egg, so I chose a large egg, hoping it would be the Salted Duck Egg, but turns that Balut is a fertilized duck egg!!! My best friend chose the smaller chicken egg, so we traded, so she could adventurously experience the Balut. The Balut eggshell is difficult to crack. Once opened, it will leak a lot of juices, which you're supposed to slurp. The egg white inside the balut becomes hardened, so we were instructed to discard it. My friend said balut tasted like a hardboiled chicken egg with some chicken meat in it. 7 Mile House also hosts an Annual Adobo Cookoff.
