During my recent trip here, I got cream Puffs (my favorite) and the strawberry croissant. There was a short line but it moved quickly. Customer service was average, and they keep the line moving. I would've ordered more, but was flying back to sac in a few hours so had to limit what I ordered to bring back. This location is the original and it is crowded inside since they sell goods also. I believe they have a few tables for dining in outside, bit I've never dined in so cannot speak to that. I'll continue to go here, or one of their other locations when I'm in So-Cal.

What was most disappointing was how the situation was handled when another party arrived. Although the staff knew the space had been reserved for a later group, no one gave us any advance warning that our time was about to end. A simple 10-20 minute reminder would have allowed us to finish decorating our cake and clean up properly. Instead, we were suddenly rushed to wrap everything up, and our birthday cake was not even finished. A staff member came over and told us, "You have to leave RIGHT NOW, the party has arrived," and we were essentially forced out to make room for the next group. This was especially upsetting because the cake was for a birthday and the experience meant a lot to us. What should have been a fun celebration ended in unnecessary stress and disappointment. Better communication and a little more consideration would have made a huge difference. ---------------------------- Updating my review: although our experience in the store was disappointing, the owner responded very quickly, took our concerns seriously, and resolved the issue in less than a day. I really appreciate their professionalism and efficiency. Thank you for addressing the problem so promptly and for being willing to improve the customer experience moving forward.

The staff are humble and exceedingly friendly which is becoming more and more rare as prices in the OC soar beyond tolerable levels. However if you have a few extra dollars in your pocket, spend them on the lovely chocolate or raspberry cream walnut croissants at this place. Airy and light but flavorful bundles of joy! I also ordered the delectable chocolate cake, which was not too sweet. 4 layers of cake and filling. You can actually taste the chocolate in the light layers. One can still imagine the affection imbued into their baked goods as you enjoy them. Unlike many of the others nearby who have crossed into "it's just a business" mentality. Run don't walk to this hidden gem! I will definitely be a repeat visitor.

The sweetness was well balanced, and the flavors were enjoyable without being overpowering. I probably would not go out of my way to purchase them again, but for those who prefer chocolates that are not too sweet or too bold in flavor, these would suit their palate well. The chocolates are beautiful and really are eye catching, with different colors and shapes and great flavor profiles. For example, the earl grey chocolate has the essence of tea but is not overpowering with floral notes and certainly a great treat. I was able to sample several pieces with my kid although we primarily visited this shop to pick up the viral dubai chocolare (at least during the time when dubai chocolate flavor was getting hyped up). The service from the associates have always been great, as I've visited randomly since this location is close to Jamboree Rd and in the same plaza as a self car wash spot. It may be a bit pricey but it certainly is a unique chocolate boutique shop with lots to offer. It may sound very corporate, but I feel like this is the type of chocolate you would want to order to gift a bunch of office team members or to distribute as client gifts during the holidays. All in all, great shop with great chocolate!

Baked Banhs have some of the best canelés in town, and sadly, they are closing on June 27th! We are…read moreso sad we didn't get to come visit until quite recently. :( We parked in the nearby parking lot on 4th street. Usually parking here isn't too bad if you're staying for less than an hour and easy to walk over to the dessert shop. Baked Banhs is located in the 4th street food market, one of the first shops you'll see if you're coming from the parking lot. Note the hours before you come (for instance, they're closed on Sundays and Mondays). And note that they seem to usually sell out of certain items by the days end. We've tried a number of different items here now including four of their canelés and their basque cheesecake. The cheesecake was solid. But we really loved their canelés. They are soft/moist on the inside with a nice crunch. And the different flavors really come through. Our favorite is the black sesame - not only is there black sesame peppered on the top but also in the center with a nice black sesame cream. It's so good and delicious. Four canelés cost $16 and thought they were well worth the price. Again, it's so sad to hear that Baked Banhs is closing soon so if you're a fan of canelés or other desserts, recommended to come sooner than later to try this out! We really hope they reopen again elsewhere or do a lot of pop-ups soon.

We spent about $60 and left a $20 tip because we always appreciate the effort that goes into serving customers. Sadly, this visit didn't live up to the quality we remembered.
