    Absolutely fantastic experience. Brand-new, clean facility. Super secure! Alexis is super-friendly and amazingly helpful. After a miserable experience with another storage company, this is such a delightful experience, and definitely gives me reassurance and peace of mind that my belongings are safe and clean. I love the fact that my 10'x20' space has a light inside! Super helpful for when I need to go through stuff. Highly recommended!

I…read morewanted to see how many things may have broken moving from our home in Buena Park, CA on August 14, 2024 to Alpharetta, GA. I AM SO PLEASED TO SAY ONLY 1 cheap bowl. Trevor Smith was our representative who came to our home to look over what we would be moving, giving us our quote and really walked us through the process. He was fabulous!! Always available to talk to me when I had questions about how to pack our boxes and even came back out because I thought I had way more boxes then he had quoted us. He was pleasant, friendly and extremely knowledgeable on the process and what we needed to know. The day of our move, Allied arrived. Our driver, Jason Sterling, came before the moving team to apply sticky tags on every single item to be loaded into his truck along with inputting everything into his computer. We loved Jason as well. He was kind, efficient, knowledgeable giving us complete assurance he'd be with his truck the entire drive to Alpharetta. Yes, there would be other people's belongings with ours but each persons items would have walls to not be mixed up. We packed pretty much everything ourselves; however, there were a few cabinets with glass inlay, as well as other precious items needing to be wrapped professionally which Jason did perfectly (nothing broke!!). Such a blessing to us. The "dream team" (aka the moving team) arrived. Apparently, this team is the BEST in the business and I can vouch for them. They were!! Watching them work was so fascinating as they fit all our things into the truck like a Tetris game. Awesome!! They unassembled things and made sure to either tape it to the piece of furniture/item and/or put in a box marked "parts". It were definitely impressed and they worked a full day and very hard for us. We did buy them lunch and of course gave them all a tip. Dinner hour the truck was loaded and off on the journey to GA. We drove and Jason gave us an estimate of when he would arrive at our storage unit. He actually was a day earlier than scheduled so good thing we didn't stay at any one destination but one night as we were pulling our trailer to GA. He gave us his phone number in case anything came up. As for the Trevor's assistant Traci, she too was friendly, helpful, kind and knowledgeable with the process. Always willing to answer any questions we had with what we should do regarding payment, moving, packing and if she didn't know, she'd leave a message for Trevor to call us. Now on the GA end and the crew helping to unload our belongings into our storage unit, we weren't as pleased with them. I really wanted to direct them to make sure fragile things stayed together and nothing was placed on top of fragile boxes, but I felt like they had such an attitude towards any suggestions so I just watched. Thankfully once again nothing was broken. All-in-all, we were extremely pleased with using Allied. Just fyi, I did get a price quote from Northern and they were $2,000+ more than Allied. I believe they may have offered a few more services or something but we had already paid a lot of money for moving boxes, paper, etcetera and really didn't want to spend an extra $2000+. It really needed to be used in other areas of our move. Well done Allied!! Thanks for the great service and all who made our first cross country move excellent.

Friendly, appreciative, and incredibly hardworking, they handled our entire 4-bedroom home with care, energy, and professionalism. Unloading was just as smooth, and they had everything loaded, moved, and unloaded in just 10 hours. What stood out most--besides their speed and efficiency--was their attitude. Not a single complaint, even with heavy appliances and toolboxes that other movers in the past have grumbled about. These guys were total pros: kind, calm, and genuinely pleasant to spend a long day with. This was, without a doubt, the easiest, most seamless move we've ever had. I was told that even though I was proactive about the challenges at the destination, the move and charges are what they are. I wished them the best, and hopefully my negative review remains an outlier.* I want to start by saying that I explained to A Smart Move that I would be leaving a poor review based on my experience with their pricing. I was told that they understood and would share my feedback internally. I was quoted just under $2k for a 3 bedroom move 5 miles (about 15min drive) away. The destination address is on a steep hill, and I made sure to send pictures and ask questions before the move. I was told that it would be no problem at all. The move was rough. They started at 8am and were loaded by around 1pm. At 2pm (includes a lunch break) they arrived at the destination and decided on the spot not to use the driveway and to cart my items up the steep driveway by hand. It ran long, and I was told around 4pm that they would be calling an extra two people to help at a cost of $135/hr. I was told I did not have a choice in this. They arrived at 4:30pm, and we were all finished at 5:10pm. So, doing the math, we had $2,000 for the move, $135 x 2 which we will round up to $300, and I added insurance the day before for $300. Our total due should be roughly $2,600, minus the $200 deposit I already gave them, for $2,400. The evening of the move they attempted to charge me $4,109.58, which was luckily declined. Over the following day or two I had several calls with them. They explained that they were already discounting the rate, and that the weight of items moved was higher than their initial estimate and made more work. I get that estimates can be wrong, but they actually moved LESS items than what was estimated due to me doing numerous van loads before move day. Additionally, at the destination, all I asked them to do was put the furniture in the correct rooms and leave the boxes outside the garage door for me to put away. Anyway, at the end of the day, I ended up paying a total of $3,312.78. Not including the insurance costs, that's just over a grand in additional fees, or an added 50% of the total cost to move. The excess really stretched us financially. I charged it to a credit card only to be told that there would be additional fees now for credit card usage. This was right after we got a $25 credit for having to clean up trash that they left in my front yard. We didn't even mention that the bathroom in our new place was peed all over, which was a delight to clean. My wife and I have mobility issues, so we really needed the help on this move, and it was incredibly frustrating to have this experience. All of this said, the movers themselves worked extremely hard. We bought them lunch between the loading/unloading, offered water throughout the day, and tipped them in cash.

Despite their marketing promise to "Calm Your Chaos," they created nothing but challenges from start to finish. The Good: The San Diego pickup crew worked hard, and our driver Shaun was communicative and professional. The Bad - Everything Else: Delivery Day Disaster: The Texas delivery team arrived 3 hours late. We received only two text updates well after they were already behind schedule. When I was told to start calling the crew myself to get updates, I knew we were in trouble. Understaffed and Unprepared: Despite our contract specifying 6 team members, only 5 showed up - including two extremely young, inexperienced workers who couldn't handle basic tasks. My husband and I ended up moving our own furniture and reassembling pieces ourselves because the crew was so ineffective. Significant Damage: They damaged an antique desk (that we were told they would treat with ultimate care), knocked a ceiling fan from its mount (exposing dangerous wires), gouged our stairwell, and broke an electrical outlet cover. Multiple smaller items were also damaged. Dishonest Claims Process: The real nightmare began with the claims process. After waiting nearly 4 months, and spending countless hours on documentation, they offered $60 to repair an antique desk. They claimed they never received photos, The final settlement offer came with a gag order prohibiting any negative reviews. Broken Promises: Ultimately, the upfront promises turned to gaslighting and customer shaming once we moved in to the claims process. The Worst Part: A pattern of hoping customers will just accept subpar service and minimal compensation rather than speak up. The gag clause in their settlement agreement suggests this isn't isolated and may be why their current online review schema is so high.
