He quoted a price and said he would hydrojet the lines. I felt it needed that, so I agreed. He arrived soon thereafter. They worked at it, and fixed the kitchen sinks. Now we could start preparing our Christmas Eve dinner! We were so happy. I thought the hydrojetting would take care of the master shower stall drain, which had been having issues and which I pointed out. A few weeks went by and the water drained slowly and more slowly. A couple months ago I sent out a couple messages to unclog our sink, they were the one of the first to respond! They came by to help us unclog our sink, turns out it was far deeper than we realized and a simple snake would do. He took the time to explain to me exactly what was going on and Alex actually went all the way back home to get the supplies he needed to basically power wash it all the way through to unclog it. Once hired, the issues were worse than originally thought (normal with plumbing when pipes are underground, or behind walls etc.). I contacted Alex on Sunday about sink and toilet shut off valves. They all needed replacement. He said he would come out immediately. Since nothing was leaking, we decided the project could wait. He said he would arrive between 10 and 12 on Monday. Which he did. He replaced the three valves. Additionally he suggested to replace the hot water heater shut off valve as well. I had a great experience today with Alex from A&A plumbing. I searched on Yelp because our bathroom sinks have not been draining. I had actually had them snaked from another plumber several times and Alex explained that was only a temporary solution. Alex asked me several questions about the services we had, what was happening and how our house was set up. There were a lot of requests that I sent out to remove and replace a kitchen faucet. Alex/A&A Plumbing was the ONLY one that gave me a great quote and quick availability.... quick as in he was able to come to my house and do the service within 30-45 min of receiving a quote from them. After seeing the damage from the last job a plumber did, he quoted me extra due to more things to do to the faucet, which was to cut it off with the grinder completely. I have a few issues - 1- I was told several times Alex would arrive at noon, and he came at three 2 - he came saying if I needed my pipes pressure washed, while my appointment was to change stems. He didn't even know what he was showing up for. 3 - He came smelling of alcohol and looked like he was on medication. I should have sent him away then. 4 - Once he changed the Stems, the pressure to the shower was much much less than what it was. 5 - When I mentioned the pressure was lower he got agressive and tried to bully me in my own bathroom, and also tell me my shower head was dirty and thats why. 6 - Alex took off the Shower Escutcheon on the wall and did not put them back. 7 - Alex took off the Chrome Sleeve to the handles and did not replace. 8 - Alex did not give me a receipt for the work. 9 - he left the top tile off the place where you get access to the mains open and did not clean up after himself 10 - My wife called him and I left him messages asking him to return and he did not get back to us. On the plus side he did fix the dripping faucet. Would Not recommend, I will have to get a someone else to bring back the shower pressure and now I will pay twice. If this is backed by a Yelp guarantee, maybe I should look into using it. read more
