They deserve zero stars. I called to have a dryer fixed at a guesthouse I manage. The office was hard to work with. Technicians were not knowledgable. Right when he arrived, the guy who came to fix our dryer literally told me he did not know what he was doing but some of the other techs were good. Needless to say, this gentleman did not provide a solution and sent another guy the next day. The second person to come was incredibly rude, condescending, and lacked basic courtesy. Technicians made comments about "Hindu's never paying" and "women being crazy". He shouted at me and blamed me for the way the office agreed to let us pay. He also shouted at one of my coworkers over the phone and condescendingly referred to her as "lady". I do not believe their "fix" solved the problem with the dryer. They are a joke. My washing machine broke recently. I emailed them telling them exactly what the problem was. They sent a guy out that didn't even have the right stuff with him to fix it, and then charged me a $70 service fee for the visit. I ended up just buying a new washer because it was cheaper. The guy gave me a quote, I showed him how much a new washing machine would be, he said he would go talk to his boss to see if he could lower it at all, and he came back in with a HIGHER quote. Called for refrigerator repair on October 9th. TJ the service man checked the refrigerator and diagnosed we needed an evaporator fan. To come in door to detect the problems the cost was 70 dollars and to do repairs would be 220 dollars. We played the total of 290 dollars. The parts were ordered and TJ was in a week later to put the fan in, but he could hear the fan going and realized it was not the problem so he said it may need some thing else. He did say if we did not want the job done we can get our money back and he will call in the office to speak with Frank to refund our money. Sence that time we have called the Company at least eight time and was given the run around. Each time it was excuses like I have to call you back or you need to talk to Frank, Frank isn't in, I need to talk with TJ and then call you back. We never got a call back only on the last call we made to the company the person hung up on me. read more

I called to get my dryer fixed, I was given a 4 hour window of 11-3, at 3:30 I called to find out where the service tech was, and it seemed to me that they had no CLUE! I asked them to call me if he was not going to be here by 4 because we had to leave, They called at 4 and said they still had no idea when they would be here. I cancled my appointment for the day and asked for the 1st appointment of the following day, I was then given a window of 9-11. It is now 10:30 and still no tech, I called to find out where he was and again they had no CLUE! When I said to just cancel the service call the man on the phone hung up on me! I won't be calling them again. At first I thought AX were on the level, but now that I've had them out to do work on a few different appliances I'm finding out they are not. He charged us $150 for a flexible gas line, some that costs around $30, seems excessive. I used these guys a few years ago due to my gas range going out the night before Thanksgiving. They provided quick and very good service. Because of this I thought nothing of calling them a week ago when I began to have problems with our GE fridge/freezer. The sent out a tech who took a quick look and determined that the defrost element had burned out. He stated that he part would have to be ordered and that it would require a deposit of $100. He said that he would order the part and would be back the following Sunday to perform the repair. Although I thought the price for the entire job was a bit high I went with it. The entire job would cost $290. My wife and I had plans for the weekend but we decided to cut those plans short in order to be home for the repair. Since I had not received a conformation call, i decided to call them Sunday morning. I made two calls a couple of hours apart. My information was taken and I was told I would receive a return call giving me the status of my service call. I never received a call. I then called a 3rd time. By this time it was early Sunday afternoon. I got a totally different person who informed me that my tech had called in sick. He could not tell me if the part had even been ordered since the tech's do their own ordering. He said they wouldn't have any info for me until Monday morning. Of course this upset me since I had change my plans and come home early to be there for the tech's arrival. When I informed the person I was speaking with that I wanted to cancel everything due to their lack of communication with me, he informed me that I would still have to pay their $70 service fee. When I stated that they had not provided me with service or information, I was told that I still had to pay because I signed the estimate. While I was in the middle of stressing my opposition to this the call suddenly got disconnected. I of course called back and got a different rep. This young lady was very polite and listened to my entire recant of the previous events. She asked me if I would be willing to call Monday afternoon to speak with the Manager. I said sure. Monday morning I received a call from someone saying that the tech would be by my home to give me my original deposit check and pickup their service fee. When I called later to speak with the manager I was told he was out sick. Needless to say I will never use this company again. I hope anyone who reads this doesn't either. read more

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. The most incompetent service provider I have ever worked with. They came out to my house twice with different repairmen, who had no idea what they were doing when it came to fixing my freezer and ice maker which wouldn't stop making ice. The second tech told me that because of the hinge in the freezer that was stuck i needed to order a new ice maker and water valve with another vendor and provided me with the model and serial numbers. After spending $417.00, and leaving a message for them that I drove 45 minutes to purchase the parts, and are ready for them to come a third time to install the new ice maker, I had my regular handyman at my house, doing some small work and asked him to look at the freezer. After 15 minutes he completely fixed it, and stated the hinge had nothing to do with the fact that the ice wouldn't stop making, and that it was an electrical switch at the back of the freezer that needed to be adjusted. The freezer is working great, and having no issues with excess ice. When I reached out to the company to try and speak with the owner, I was told through the customer service person on the phone who was also clueless, that it is what it is, and they won't be reimbursing me for the out of pocket expenses that I incurred at their direction. The combination of utter incompetence by the techs, and customer service which was beyond abhorrent, I would tell anyone thinking of using this company to run away as fast as they can. read more

I wish I could leave less than one star! I had someone come to assess my double oven almost 3 weeks ago. The repairman told me what was wrong and verified that parts were available and that someone would be calling within the next couple of days to schedule an appointment. NO ONE called! So I called them to follow up a week later only to have someone tell me they'd look into my order and call me back--they NEVER did! Another week passes and I called again to follow up and I had some guy hang up on me after he told me they were too busy and to "believe in God"! He is supposedly going to call me back. I will be contacting my bank to cancel my check since I received no service repair, nothing in return and poor customer service! The technician actually told me that he was working for this company as a favor for the owner and because of all the bad reviews--that were pushed down with all good ones after he began helping. I am now stuck with 30" double ovens that don't work and have been shut off by the power box for "repair"! Spare yourself the headache and DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY FOR WORK THAT YOU NEED DONE! I would give them negative stars if I could. I have called them for years to fix my appliances and they always had parts with them or came back the next day to fix my problem. They were always very accommodating. I don't know if the company has changed hands or what but my repair was a nightmare. The technician came out to fix my dryer on Friday and told me I needed a part and would see if the had it in stock and get back to me either Saturday or the first of the week. He also told me a sensor may be bad but he needed the original part to check it. To make a long story short, after numerous calls on my part and no return calls from the technician or his supervisor, he finally came out on the following Thursday and put the part on and then said I also needed the sensor! This co. is unprepared to do repairs. e.g. Called for microwave (G.E.) repair. Repair man tells me what problem is, but can't find the part. Charge:$70.00. If I can find part, they will return, charge me another $70 and install it for me. DUH 5 minutes after he left, I found the needed part online, ordered it and it came in 2 (two) days. Two weeks later dryer still not fixed and in fact the repairs they did have caused other problems. Original problem, was dryer not heating and it still doesn't heat. I only paid $400 to have an inoperable dryer. I do hope that Frank (supposedly an owner) reads these reviews and returns the numerous messages that have been left for him. We called these guys to clean out our dryer. I told the girl when I called that all I wanted was our dryer cleaned, and that for health reasons, I wasn't able to do it myself. She said OK, I will send a technician. When the guy got here, he walked into the laundry room, and without checking anything within 30 seconds claimed that we needed new coils, and that it would be $230.00. I said it just needs to be cleaned, and we have done this before. The dryer is heating up and everything was working, but just not as efficient as it should. He started to write up the bill for the $70.00 service charge and leave, so I said OK change the coils. I checked on him a few times and he was in the back of the dryer, the coils are in the front. I called them back, and the girl said a manager would call me the next day. This didn't happen, so I called them, and the so called manager told me that they don't clean dryers. He said that the service tech was a supervisor, and he did change the coils, and threw the old ones in the trash next to the dryer. I immediately checked and found no coils next to the dryer. We complained again and the manager sent out a technician to show us that they changed the coils; the guy got here and refused to show us the coils telling us that the dryer needed to be cleaned! Well that's what I called them for in the first place and they set the appointment based on this, then told me they don't clean dryers. The technician even wrote on the receipt (customer aware dryer may need to be cleaned) That's what I called them for! If they wouldn't do it they should have told me during the initial call when I said that's what I wanted. I have a brand new refrigerator from Frigidaire and it came with a defect. The fridge leaks water every 3 to 4 weeks - like clockwork. Since they weren't willing to replace my brand new defective fridge, they decided to send their "team" out to see if they could repair it - After the third rep that came out they finally figured out the problem, however, I wouldn't necessarily call their solution legitimate. They wanted to drill holes in the back of the fridge for a tube to help properly drain the water... What? After I kindly asked them to leave I searched for appliance repairmen and came across AAX Chicago. I told them the problem I was having and they gave me a few things to try over the phone. After a bit of troubleshooting one of their recommendations ended up being the solution. I never even had anyone come out nor did they even charge me. I really think that they understand the concept of taking care of people. When you exceed customer's expectations they tend to not only think of you for next time but also refer others. I placed a service call for a technician to come and check out my dryer. I was given a window of 1-4. The tech arrived at 4:20. He informed me that I needed to meet him in the lobby as he was very busy. Upon checking my dryer I was informed that a part needed to be replaced. The tech also told me that if the flu stack was not cleaned the parts would break again. I live in a condo and I explained that I had no control over this. The tech said he would replace the part but could not put dryer back in place until they had proof the stack was cleaned. The tech could not take the dryer down by himself, I had to ask a friend to help him. After replacing the parts I asked him to put the dryer back up, I would take my chances since the stack cleaning was taking place in a few weeks. He said he would need another person and there would be an additional charge of $195.00 charge to reconnect the dyer. There was a charge of $195.00 already. He went on to tell me that numerous customers were happy with his work, showed me work tickets from the day, that he was overworked, had to train people, asked me why the building didn't have staff to do this, etc. At this point I was exasperate and told him I would have someone else put dryer back up. The following day I called and spoke to Alex whom I was told is a supervisor. He tried to explain what the tech had told me and I said I understood but all I wanted was my dryer to be put back and reconnected. I knew I was taking a chance of the part breaking again and he wanted to avoid coming out again due to the warranty. I was a bit frustrated and my tone was irritated. Alex told me I was combative from start of the conversation. We ended with scheduling the tech to come out and reconnect my dryer, wasting another afternoon, free of charge since the job was incomplete. The tech called me to give an arrival time and informed me that there would be a charge. I told him that Alex told me this was not the case. Alex got on the phone and the tech stated that he could not reconnect dryer without proof of stack cleaning. I again stated this was out of my control. They questioned why I was not talking to property manager to getting this done right away. I explained this is a process that takes time. I said in my opinion that the job is incomplete and I just wanted the job done. Alex told me he was getting upset talking to me. At that point I said goodbye and hung up. At this point my husband took over. He called and spoke to Alex in a very friendly manner. He was transferred to the technician. My husband told the technician to cancel the service call and we would be putting a stop payment on the check due to incomplete repair. The technician made physical threats stating he will "Come over and **ck him up." My husband stated that we will be filing a police report against the company and to have a good day. He called the company back to report this conversation to Alex who did not believe the tech said this. My husband explained that he works in the security business and has had training in customer service. Alex offered no apologies and was abrupt. I called for the services on my bakery oven when it shut off the fire completely after 5-10 minutes. The service come the next day with quick respond and I pay him $90 service charge. However, the skill level of the technician is bad and misdiagnosis. He gave me a diagnosis stated my temperature gage is bad and it required about over $2,000 to replace, and it also need to find the appropriate part to order. I have waited for 2 weeks and they did not get back to me, I have to call the company back a few time for follow up on 3 weeks, and the staff told me they are still looking for the part. I end up call another company and they told me that the problem was the gas pipe and temperature gage is working fine, it is the gas pipe has issue. And my oven was fixed for $900 labor. DO NOT use this company for any of your service, and they will come right away to take your money for service call and do nothing after work. I have no idea how this company can continue their business for asking customer for their service call charge and not fix problem. read more

What is ridiculous, is the issue is not at all with the technician Joe, he was great. But due to the following issue simply when calling, Wow, it was really unnecessarily horrible customer service. It was fine when I just called to set up the appointment, I only noticed the guy sounded not that enthused lol, but this was Ok and the tech came out and fixed our refrigerator. The tech explained everything as far as letting the fridge cool for 24 hours as since it wasn't cooling at all and he fixed it with the part needed. Our fan had been working but not the compressor, so it wasn't cooling at all. The tech Joe showed us and left with both the fan and the compressor running now, which was great. I left for a bit came back home and noticed the fridge was quiet. I checked it and both the fan and compressor were off. I turned the controls off and on, and nothing. I was concerned but honestly Joe was so very nice and helpful and seemed to know what he was doing. We even conversed about a tech that had been out from another company who just said it was a loose wire and left after paying the service fee, never to come back. I was familiar with a relay vs. compressor and discussed this with Joe., as he explained thoroughly also and even did say that he can not guarantee the relay 100% as it could be the compressor but it would burn out most likely within 10 minutes even, if the relay he put on was not going to ultimately help. He just was so nice and knew what he was doing obviously anyways, that is why what transpired next that is the issue was so crazy. Because I noticed it was not running, not even upset but of course concerned, I call the company and Wow! I speak to someone and attempted to just explain a bit and the person sounded a bit put off as I was asking if it would be possible for Joe to come back out. It didn't have to be immediate and I was just thinking also as I was talking to this person. The guy said tomorrow(sat) between 1-3pm. I asked if it could be the same tech and he said that he would try, so it was left like that. In simply speaking to my family member, she said to just call and ask if Joe could maybe just call when he has time. I realize I could have asked this first but it wasn't offered either. So here it gets crazy! Meanwhile my family member is hearing the entire conversation when I simply call back and ask if Joe could please just call me when he has a chance. The guy immediately sounded extremely agitated by this request, he was asking me what the problem was and I simply was attempting to explain that it doesn't appear to be working, yet it was when Joe left. His tone was very rude and he kept saying that there will be a technician back out tomorrow. I just said I know but I would prefer to know a bit about the issue today, as I paid for the repair. Another man comes to the phone and he begins to yell "what is wrong", what's crazy is by now it seems like this was going on way too long and it didn't seem they were wanting to have the tech even call, when I had asked at the beginning. This other guy who was just as rude but even more upset, as I was then attempting to answer his question and just say, he is talking over me constantly, yelling that I need to wait 24 hours. I said that is what Joe said when he left with the fridge running/cooling but as I attempted to explain that it wasn't, he just wasn't getting it. I said that I don't think that you are understanding and he said that he does not think that I am understanding. Then as I'm still wondering why I am not speaking to the tech(joe) lol, I said, I do not even know who you are. He says "I am the Boss, that's who I am." I asked his name and he said Alex and would not give his last name. He then continues on a loud rant, and then what seemed now like over 5 minutes, he hung up on me. I couldn't believe this over just wanting the tech to call us. I couldn't believe they just did not want too. I call back and now what is even worse if possible lol, is the first guy, immediately in a very strange/creepy voice keeps repeating over and over, constantly that "the technician is going to call you", "the technician is going to call you", "the technician is going to call you" I'm not even kidding it was more than 20times, over and over, not letting me say anything just how it was from the first call. I even put it on speakerphone and my family member heard everything! He sounded like he was being obnoxious and childish, when omg, all of this is about just having the tech call. I'm trying to get a word in with no luck not knowing why they could not have just told me Sure, I will have him call you, before they just hung up on me or at any point. Joe did call, so apparently after I was hung up on the first time by Alex without being told anything about they were going too finally having him call. Joe called and explained it went into defrost cycle, so I have not idea why this was such an issue, must be impaired lol. read more

I had to laugh reading some of the other reviews about rude customer service, techs not showing up on time, appliance not getting repaired. All of these happened to me! I was told tech would be at my house at 9:30am, 10:15 he still hadn't shown up,. Talked to Dave and he said tech was stuck in traffic even though he was coming from my same area. Then got call from tech that he lost the part that I had waited 2 weeks to come in. Asked tech about being stuck in traffic, he said no he was looking for part. Again called and expressed how unhappy I was that my part was lost after I waited 2 weeks. Told Dave that I took a day off work to be home for this and now I had to take another day. Dave said, "Ma'am we all work." I told him this wasn't satisfactory and he said, "Find another repair service" and hung up on me! I called back 5 mins later asked to talk to a manager. Got put on hold 5 mins. Someone came on line, asked what he could help me with, as soon as I started telling him, he called me a liar. Turned out it was Dave again acting like he had gotten me someone else to talk to. After calling me a liar several times, he told me it wasn't worth him sending someone out to BUFU! What? Who says that? I said, "Aurora is BUFU?" And he said ,"Yes BUFU Aurora." even though the tech he sent also lived in Aurora, 10 mins from me. Rudest company I have ever dealt with. I hope the other customers who filed with BBB and got a lawyer involved get somewhere - this company should not be allowed to run a business. read more

My LG gas dryer was making screeching noises, which got louder with each succeeding load. "Terry" came out on 6-13-20, checked the dryer and said it needed a new idler pulley. He didn't have any in the truck but he would order one and bring it back in 3-4 days. He came back on 6-17-20 and replaced the part. Total cost was $220. Five weeks later, the dryer started screeching again. I called Terry and he came back out on 7-31-20. He checked the dryer again and said he would just order a new idler pulley and be back on 8-3-20. There would be a charge for labor but not the part. He didn't show up; on 8-7-20 I called looking for Terry. Lady who answered said she would tell him I called. Never heard from him. On 8-12-20, I called again looking for Terry; "Terry called off sick." Did I still want him to call me back -- I said "yes, have him call me." He never did. We called someone else. Dryer now is as quiet as a mouse! I would never recommend you guys. read more

PLEASE READ FOR YOUR SAFETY.... FRANK from A-Appliance Xperts was called out to fix a gas leak in an oven at my elderly grandmother's home. I specifically asked to be present during a morning appointment. After numerous excuses, Frank finally arrived 2 days later in the afternoon while my grandmother was home alone. FRANK charged her $490 to repair the leak. 2 DAYS LATER....THE HOUSE WAS FULL OF GAS!!!! We had to call 911 and the Fire Department rushed over and evacuated the property and surrounding area!!! ***The local gas company came out to inspect. The gas company confirmed that NO REPAIRS HAD BEEN MADE TO THE OVEN.***** When we contacted the company we were informed by FRANK that "The gas company doesn't know anything!" He refused to refund the money even though the company offers a 30-day warranty. We have all of the documentation from the Fire Department, Police Department and the gas company that no repairs have been made. A-Appliance Xperts still refuses to refund the $$$. Luckily, I was able to stop the check that they were given. However, they still refuse to refund $250 in cash. FRANK CHARGED MY ELDERLY GRANDMOTHER A TOTAL OF $490 TO REPAIR THE GAS LEAK IN THE OVEN. AS CONFIRMED BY 2 REPRESENTATIVES OF GAS COMPANY, FRANK MADE NO REPAIRS TO THE OVEN. FRANK TURNED ON, AND LEFT ON GAS TO THE OVEN THAT HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY TURNED OFF BY GAS COMPANY. Our first contact was favorable. Then I expected a return call when the part arrived in 7-10 business days. The part was not ordered until Wednesday and the technician said it would be ordered on Monday. After 11 business days I called A-AX, they said they would call back later. Two days later I called again, same answer. A few days later I called again and was told the technician would call in 1 hr. two and a half hours later I called them again. I was told by their management that they were busy and that THEY WORKED ON THEIR TIME TABLE NOT MINE. Alex, the manager, asked that I coach him on how to treat a customer. Called these guys up to fix my refrigerator because it was not cooling. The technician said I needed to put in a manual relay which would cost $240 because he said the compressor was failing. He said it was a big job...lots of wiring, etc. I pushed him on it and I told him the unit was too new and that freezer was fine and that it was most like the defroster temp. sensor. He then agreed, but still wanted to charge me $240 for a part that takes 15 minutes to replace. I argued about the price with him..a large complex unit vs replacing a single, how could be the same price? At the end, he conceded on the price and told me that it would be $190 . At that point, I cut my losses paid him $70, even though he did not want to test the sensor unless they did the full job. I bought the part at appliance store for $35 and put it on myself. I had them come fix a broken washer and dryer. They seem to diagnose the problem pretty well and did fix the washer but they could not completely fix the problem with the Dryer because they needed a part that was not in his vehicle. I paid for the service call, washer machine repair, and pre-paid for the part for the Dryer. Technician said he promise to come back tomorrow once he got the part from his shop. He never came out nor did he call to let me know he wasn't going to come out. After 2 weeks of calling A-appliance and being told someone was going to come out, I finally gave up having them come out. They never came back to fix my Dryer and over charged me for a part they never installed. Very disappointment with this company's company's customer service and I will never use them again. Which is more of a loss to them since I am a property manager and I need appliance repair work all the time. A better name for them would be rated F-Appliance Xperts read more

I had NO problems when I called to inquire about by broken washing machine. Christen was fantastic. He came out the same day and to order 1 part came back the next day to fix it. I priced shopped before consenting to the work and they were not off. I am thankful my machine is working. read more

Called yesterday to get my oven repaired and made an appointment for today, 1-4pm. They called at 5:30pm and said my appointment was for 5-8pm and they would send a technician over now. 1st time using these A-Appliance Xperts. Dryer was on the fritz so I asked around and was referred to them by a friend at work. I called expecting to have to mess around with scheduling due to my crazy work schedule, but they were able to get me in right away at a time that was convenient for me. They gave me a time frame and called about 30 mins before arriving which allowed me to get stuff done in town rather than sit at home waiting for hours. The tech was very knowledgeable and had my dryer apart in minutes with a diagnosis. He quoted me a surprisingly reasonable price and was in and out in a half hour. Dryer works perfectly! Bottom line, these guys are fast, pleasant to deal with, affordable and really know their stuff. They've earned themselves a loyal customer. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! Only reason I chose 1 star was 0 wasn't an option. Wish I had read the reviews before giving them a $200 deposit for a part. Told part would take about two weeks; over a month later still no part. In my calls to get an update I'm either told someone will get back to me and never does, or last week they guaranteed part would be here by this past Tuesday. Guess what - STILL NO PART!!! My experience is they tell you they'll call you back or that the part will be in by a certain time just to get you off the phone. No accountability or customer service. . read more

They did show up the first time as promised and diagnosed a bad drain pump for both our washer and our dishwasher. They left an estimate to repair the washer for $390. $250 for the part, and two hours of labor at $70/hr. I researched and found the part locally for $109.34. That's a hefty discount compared to the price they wanted to charge! I called to have them install it. Technician showed up and we went up stairs to the washing machine. He did not want to do the job and told me so. No reason. Just did not want to do it at 4:30pm on a Friday. Why even show up then? They knew this was the reason for coming to this appointment. The office manager, Alex said he would send someone next day between 10am-1pm. No one here at 1:30pm. I called Alex, and he said someone was in the neighborhood. I told him what happened to between 10-1pm? he said: find someone else and hung up. I never raised my voice or insulted him. Clearly they do not have the ability to keep appointments, or will only do the job they want to do. Not to mention gauge you with a hefty price above the norm for a part. If only there were negative star ratings! Worst customer experience I have ever had. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER call this company for your repair work! Paco said they would be by my home to finish the repair they had been working on for two days between 3 and 4 pm. Called at 4:30 to see what the ETA was going to be. Told no later than 6pm. When I mentioned that I needed to leave at 6pm and my husband by 6:45pm, Paco asked if there wasn't someone who could be here so they could come by, so I made some calls and rearranged my schedule so I could be here. Then I get a call from the dispatcher that not only were they NOT showing up, but it would be a full 24 hours before they could. When I called Paco to find out why, he said I could get my money back - so I did! How rude to have me rearrange my schedule and then not even show up!!!! To add insult, they refunded my deposit, but took out the initial $90 service call. They should be paying me for rearranging my schedule and missing a meeting!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I lost 3 days messing around with them, while trying to keep my food in 5 coolers from spoiling. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! read more

Was having a problem with my refrigerator and called the appliance Xperts and they sent someone the next day on short notice . They explained the problem to me and showed me what's was wrong .
