This place finally got checked off our ever growing list and it was 100% worth stopping in. We previewed the menu before going out to dinner, there was a group of 4 of us. We made reservations just in case but arrived around 630, and we were the only ones. Restaurant is nicely decorated with a modern simplistic vibe, definitely welcoming. We decided on the premium menu, they explained the top 3 items were only a one time order and everything else was as much as we'd like. 3 orders per person and/or they'd basically give us a tasting menu of all the offerings. We thought perfect because we wanted to try everything anyways. The courses flowed nicely and we were rarely without a fresh plate or food in front of us. The staff was super polite and the chef came around at the end of dinner to talk and asked us how we liked the food. We reordered some our favorites, and left stuffed to the gills. We are all big eaters, and while it is smaller bites, there is plenty of options and chances to order. We left very content. They have a pretty good all you can drink option as well. If you plan on having more than 2 glasses of sangria, might as well get it as it's cheaper. We will definitely be back , some of ur favorites were: Foie gras of course The filet Iberico ham The grilled octopus

Truly exceptional restaurants are rare. Not just places that serve good food, but places where every dish lands, nothing feels like filler, and everything is consistently flavorful, balanced, and genuinely enjoyable to eat. That level of consistency -- across raw, cooked, rich, light, savory, and dessert -- is difficult to sustain. I first experienced this at Santi by Santi Santamaria and have been chasing it ever since. 15 years later, I finally found it again -- at A Different Beast. After enough visits to know the execution isn't incidental, I approached this one deliberately. A Different Beast offers real range -- pintxos, larger plates, raw, cooked, fried, meat, seafood, vegetables, and dessert -- and the question is whether the kitchen can maintain that level across all of it. It does. The food here is not just well-composed -- it is deeply flavorful, balanced, and consistently rewarding, so every course feels complete and worth ordering on its own. The Toro Crudo establishes that immediately. Properly chilled, clean, and delicate, with fat that melts smoothly instead of turning greasy. A measured layer of crunch and restrained seasoning sharpen the texture while keeping the flavor vivid and focused. The Bay Scallop Ceviche follows with the same precision, delivering brightness without washing out the scallop itself. The citrus enhances its natural sweetness, while the garnish contributes both crunch and chew, giving the dish energy and contrast rather than flattening it into acidity. Cooked seafood is executed at that same level. The Calamares al Ajillo is supple and tender, with garlic and paprika present but controlled, and a broth that is clean, light, and genuinely satisfying to drink. The Pulpo carries the right resistance and smokiness, with paprika and oil supporting the octopus rather than masking it, while the potato grounds the dish without muting it. Even the smaller bites are fully realized. The Anchovy balances salinity, acidity, heat, and crunch so no single element dominates, while the olive and pepper sharpen and lift the flavor. The Shrimp bite is equally effective -- juicy, well-seasoned, and supported by sauce without losing its identity. The meat dishes push this further. The Solomillo de Ternera is flavorful and well-structured, with a base that stays crisp and a chimichurri that adds brightness without overwhelming the beef. The Iberico Presa is rich and deeply savory, yet still feels clean on the palate, with fat that enhances the meat instead of weighing it down. The Wagyu Top Sirloin stands out immediately. You taste the richness and tenderness of properly prepared Wagyu first, followed by the mushroom adding depth and structure. The sauce brings acidity, sweetness, and savoriness together in a way that makes each bite feel complete rather than heavy. Each component is compelling on its own and even more cohesive when combined. The Foie Gras follows with the same level of execution. Properly seared, lightly caramelized, and well-seasoned, it delivers richness balanced by sweetness and savoriness, so it remains enjoyable rather than overwhelming. The kitchen maintains that standard even when shifting styles. The Hummus de Edamame con Jamón Ibérico is smooth, flavorful, and well-integrated. The jamón adds smoky depth, the bread is crisp outside and airy inside, and every element is satisfying on its own while working even better together. The Ensalada de Naranjas is bright, fresh, and clean, with citrus and greens that stay crisp and defined. Dessert is just as strong. The Cremeux Helado de Chocolate Blanco leads with crunch, followed by a light savory note and controlled sweetness, while the cold custard keeps it refreshing instead of heavy. The Basque Cheesecake is rich yet balanced, with a creamy, airy texture that melts cleanly and a caramelized edge that adds depth without bitterness. The Churros con Chocolate finish the meal on a high note. Crisp outside, light inside, with a subtle custardy texture, they deliver sweetness with restraint. The chocolate is bold enough to stand on its own, and together they create a deeper, more layered flavor rather than simply increasing sweetness. That is the throughline. Each component is well-executed and satisfying on its own, and when combined, the dishes become more complete rather than compensating for anything missing. Service matches the food. The pacing is fluid, transitions are seamless, and the staff is attentive without hovering. The kitchen remains visible and engaged, and small gestures feel natural rather than staged. This is exactly the kind of restaurant that would earn Michelin stars if the guide still operated in Las Vegas. Under a system like the Australian chef's hats, this would sit comfortably at a three-hat level -- defined by consistency, technical execution, and the ability to deliver across the entire menu.

It was truly an experience from start to finish. We opted for the Premio meal, which lets you taste a wide range of their tapas before deciding what you'd like more of. Not every tapa was exactly to my taste, but most of them were delicious -- and that's the beauty of it. You get to try everything first, then circle back to the dishes you loved most. One thing to note: everything is served crostini-style. It's fun at first and makes for easy sharing, but after quite a few rounds, you might start to feel a little crostini fatigue. Service was top tier. The staff were incredibly informative and attentive, always making sure drinks were refilled and the next dishes arrived with little to no wait. Everything flowed seamlessly. The space itself was clean and well kept, which added to the overall polished feel. The woman seated next to us mentioned she had just come back from Spain and said the flavors here were exactly what she was hoping for, which says a lot. Highlights for me: the ensalada de naranjas, braised short rib, filet mignon, bay scallop ceviche, and toro crudo. The tableside sangria cart was such a fun touch, and the foie gras presentation made it feel extra special. Overall, a memorable night out and definitely a spot I'd return to for the experience alone.

I enjoyed this food so much! I love Tapas and they had so many options. There were three menus with different price points, I selected the mid range priced one, it had a lot of good options. Our server had really good service, since you can only order so many small bites he had to do a lot of running and clearing the table. The restaurant was quiet and very clean. I'd definitely com back to see what updates they make on the menu. Hands down my favorite item was the pulpo, I ate soooo many of those. And the Toro was top notch as well!

    Jeremy T.

Lets start with the sangria, it was well balanced and was a good portion that lasted the entire meal. We picked the middle menu and tried all of the tapas. We just worked our way down the list of tapas. Additionally I was able to get gluten-free option with mine which was awesome. One of my favorite was the foie gras, so delecate and tasty. The vibe here is perfect for a date and the staff here is he very kind and kept the food coming. This is a must try.

Upon walking in one of the managers greeted me and gave me the run down of the pre fixe menu. There's three all you can eat menus. I chose the middle priced one. My favorite dishes had to be pulpo (octopus), both ibericos, and the salmon! Everything I had on the menu was amazing! The setting inside is fancy, fine dining vibes, and red. I would recommend coming in! My server was Timo and the manger was Alex. Both of them were great!

I came here for a date night and the vibes were great. It gives me upscale vibes and the service was great. The food came out really quick as we ordered. My bf and I opted for the $45 ayce menu so it came with a bit more items. Surprisingly our favorite was the pappas (potato's). We also had the foie gras which was very rich. My bf wasn't a fan but I liked it but just in small amounts. I think our favorite dish was the chimichurri "filet mignon". I swear we ordered like 17 of those. I liked how it was small dishes so that I could try everything. However I felt like nothing was super WOW, enough for me to go crazy over it. I felt like the dishes needed a bit more zest in general so that you don't get tired of the food so quickly. They did have a pear salad which was a good palate cleanser, but I feel like they need maybe a yuzu or lemony dish to balance out all the flavors! I feel like this a great safe night spot where you can chat and have small bites! I liked the concept of having ayce mini dishes too, my first time trying something like this.

I'm easy to please when it comes to small bites and bubbly. This is a new great spot where the chef takes care of you as well as the servers. We went on a Thursday night, and it was busy but not too much. The place has a lounge feel with the big wine cellar in the middle adding to its decor. My tapas favorites were the Filet Mignon, *Foie Gras, and the *Short Rib. Everything was AYCE except starred ones on the menu. If you plan right, and have a nice wine pairing, you should be ok to try all and then some within 90mins. The desserts were so good too! Recommended and we will be back with friends.

    Rocco R.

First time coming here, tried the Premium $65 AYCE. I think it's bit to much for this type of food I'd say $40 is more like it for premium... They also offer an all-you-can-drink alcohol option for an additional $35, which I didn't get. This is definitely a good place to try, especially if you enjoy finger foods. The majority of the dishes are pintxos (small, savory snacks), so if you like that style you'll really enjoy it here. Overall, all the dishes I tried were good. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the foie gras. I usually love liver, but this one tasted very gamey and the aftertaste wasn't great at all. I literally had to gargle wine to get rid of the taste water and soda weren't helping. It just wasn't appetizing for me. Other than that, all the dishes were good . Our server was very attentive, and the vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant were really nice.

    Johnny Z.

We visited a different beast tonight with my family of four. Everyone loved the seared foie gras. We also ordered some of the other popular dishes. The food was generally presented as small bites and the quality was okay. On a positive note, the restaurant was very clean and the staff were friendly.

Went to A Different Beast for their AYCE tapas and had a great experience. Service was fast and attentive overall. It slowed down briefly when our server got held up by another table taking a while to decide on their next order, but once he was free, everything came out quickly again. We tried almost everything on the menu (skipped the anchovy dish -- just personal preference), and we were stuffed by the end! Everything tasted fresh, unique, and delicious. We'll definitely be back when they update their menu.

So grateful my wife and I came here for her birthday. The menu is incredible, and can tell every item was made with purpose. The server, manager, and chefs came out and described everything. They were courteous and memorable. We can't wait to come back. The only thing I would say is, if you are celiac/can't have bread, allergy please say right away. They charge an extra 10$ for certain things. They do offer children pricing but it's not the most appropriate place for them. More for adults and date night. Thank you Different Beast :)

    Jeffrey S.

Stumbled in. Restaurant did not disappoint Food was really good. Flavors spot on. Seasoned well. Portions very filling for Tapas style. Service was great too! Server was very knowledgeable about the menu. Runners described the dishes well. Loved the seasonality of the menu. Fresh peaches yes! Ambiance is very clean and intimate. Loved enjoying the food, service, atmosphere after a long day at work. Definitely a place to bring a small group or even dine alone. Everyone table touched. Even the Chef! (: glad they did. Will come back for sure.

So, give yourself ample time to play the parking lot vulture game. When you first walk in, be aware there's a dart board that people might be shooting darts at. This is definitely a safety concern if neither party is paying attention. There's not a host stand nor signage indicating if you should stand at the bar awkwardly or if you should seat yourself. So, we stood there for a couple of minutes waiting to be acknowledged. Seating is pretty limited, another thing to be aware of. There were 3 half booth/half table seats (high top) and only bar seats from what I could see. Maybe not the most ADA accessible spot. They were offering happy hour when we were there, which is neat since it was a Saturday at 7pm! They had some good options for drinks and food at $5 a pop. We looked at both the happy hour menu and regular menu. We each ordered a glass of Tempranillo wine. They had some solid options from Spain and elsewhere but not a lot of "by the glass" options. Pretty typical for a small establishment though. Sadly, the paella couldn't be served/prepared? The server stated they were out of some other items. Her wording led me to believe they just didn't have the operational capacity to make more than one paella dish at a time, which is disappointing. The food was mediocre. The octopus was definitely chewy, and seemed like sliced tako that should have been served as nigiri vs what you'd expect at a tapas spot. The bacon wrapped dates were way too big and the weird mini cleavers were not the greatest for trying to cut the food down with--they didn't have normal utensils nor napkins (just small bar napkins). I did like the pan con tomate. Honestly, this place was super disappointing--I started out with 3 stars but then realized through the course of writing this review, 3 was a reach and 2 was more appropriate. I don't think I'll come back here and especially not for a date. They have a LOT to improve on.

Firefly has been on my mind for a couple of months and I decided to book a reservation here at their southwest location for our monthly date night. They also have another location on Paradise Road. Through Yelp, I made a reservation for 6/20/26 at 7:30pm. I guess a reservation wasn't really necessary because it wasn't busy when we showed up and there were plenty of open tables available. It did start getting a little packed towards the end of our visit, though. Tucked away in the back of the restaurant is a small, cozy bar and more regular seating. We started off with some cocktails. I got myself a La Paloma and my LTP got the Fly Tai (possible pun on Mai Tai?). The La Paloma was very fruity, had a salty orange rim, and a dried orange slice on top. The Fly Tai was also fruity and had a dried rosé on top of its' frothy texture. We were also given complimentary bread along with a scoop of butter. Next, we ordered the tapas. We weren't 100% sure how big they were going to be, so we decided on one to share, one for me, and one for him. We ordered the following; Serrano Sliders, Manchego Mac and Cheese, and Tortillas a la Española. The Serrano Sliders came with crispy onions on the side that you can put on by yourself. I'm not a big meat person anymore but these sliders were totally delicious! The Manchego Mac and Cheese was excellent and probably one of the best mac and cheese dishes I've had in a long time. The Tortillas a la Española had a very colorful orange sauce drizzled on them and they were basically like cubed mashed potatoes. The portions on each tapa were very decent and weren't too big for us, so we ended up sharing all three of them due to their size. I loved everything about this place, especially the mac and cheese.
