My house was 95 degrees and I had to get the situation under control. Ian came right out first thing in the morning before anyone else was able to. Scheduling was so easy, and about ten minutes before the technician arrived, i received a text message with details about my tech, and a picture. When we needed a new A/C, we contacted AC Doctors since we've used in the past and had excellent service. We got an estimate and scheduled the replacement within a couple days. Luis Urquidez and his crew of 2 arrived exactly when promised and completed the replacement in 4 hours, which really amazed us since the last unit took a day and a half to install with a different company. Luis was super courteous and informative, especially when explaining the new thermostat and remote sensor. We were especially pleased that they were able to take apart the air handler and reassembled it in the attic, instead of cutting a hole in the ceiling. Our crawl space is tight and the last company that replaced this unit 10 years ago cut a hole and left it for me to do the drywall work to seal it back up. Luis saved us valuable time and energy by cutting a hole but instead made it through the existing crawl space in a couple pieces. The whole crew did a great job and cleaned up as if they were never here. We will continue to us AC Doctors in the future and would highly recommend them. read more

While they were prompt and able to come out the same day to fix our A/C, I am VERY upset with the amount charged. They claim a service fee of $75 which is waived if you have them do the repair. I should have given them the $75 and replaced the $15 dollar capacitor myself because they charged me $388 to replace it and that price is after waiving the service call charge. SO, the service charge ended up being OVER $370...... for less than 30 minutes. How do they justify this? I will never use them again and recommend that you don't either. What a rip off. read more

Came home from work one night and the house was warm. Check the ac and it was broken. Found these guys from yelp reviews and called them first thing in the morning. They had a technician at my house in about 1 hr. My compressor was dead the unit was 18 years old. He gave me prices for the repair and several replacement options. I went with the replcement. It was a friday so they had 2 installers monday morning at my house at 8 am and by 1 pm i had a new a/c. Its been about a month and its working great. The night my air stopped working was rough. This morning I realized how dependent we are upon or upon a ideal climate and I was nearly in tears franticially calling numerous companies at 8 am Monday morning. I found ACDoctors on Yelp due to numerous star reviews. I called and when this one company suggested I make an appointment that evening as they were booked I was crushed in a way, but agreeed. Lo and behold, they had an opportunity to fit me in at 11:20am that afternoon. God was on mine and my cats side. I speedily left work and was greeted by my technician only minutes later after I arrived. He was on time. Gerardo, Was very proper and if you were concerned about masks, he wore one the entire time without complaint. After chatting with him he had been in the business for 7 years with the same company and truly loved his job. I could tell he was experienced as he zipped up the roof checked all the wires and mechanisms that needed observation and came down to tell me my issue must be with the new Nest thermostat I attempted to install the night bf with resulted in no cooling. Never once did he say he did not know what to do. Nor did he have to reach out to others for support. He is a very professional individual who made me feel intelligent in how he acknowleded my knowledge of my unit and thermostat. We problem solved and re installed the thermostat in addition with the app on my phone so it could work remotely. He even helped me program the weekly schedules and and was a happy-go-lucky individual. Before he wrapped up he explained the bill which included a low cost of diagnostic fee diagnostic fee and then the time spent with myself and educating the thermostat and reprogramming. Out the door for the hour and a 1/2 that he was there I paid just under a $115. Granted there was nothing wrong with my unit it was all due to the thermostat miss wiring and programming. I myself am a 32 yr old Individual who is savvy with technology however my technician knew more and was more experienced in diagnostics of the device. I was so pleased that I called the office after I had left my property to show my gratitude almost in tears of joy that the air conditioner was fixed and I no longer was distressed. This company is very professional, very experienced, quick, in a very decent price range. This is the happiest I have felt in awhile, stress free. I know this is quite time consuming to read my entire post however it is worth every penny. I am a individual homeowner who has been screwed over by contractors in the past and that was my biggest fear with finding somebody off of Yelp however AC Doctors willing be my number one moving forward who I always will recommend. #goodworkstillexists read more

Ian, the On Call Technician (7/26/2024), arrived last night post initial installation by an Installation Team (same day=7/26/2025). Ian presented as an excellent puzzle solver. He went step by step in determining issue for discrepancies between thermostat setting temp & room temp. Ian programmed (Daikin patented thermostat technology), although continued to explore situation. He was in our attic 3X's & each time returning to thermostat screen/menu reading(s). Ian explained that the thermostat was reading a %, which offered a conclusion that too much static (restricted air flow) was occurring within an area of our house. Ian ordered the part(s) (I believe a widening of ductwork within restrict area) & plan for a Technician to install upon part(s) arrival. They were AMAZING. I'm beyond thankful for their timeliness, professionalism and skills. Thank you a million times over!! Now...we also called them out over the weekend for a different AC issue. I don't know our techs name but he was the most thorough tech Ive ever had out to the house in 10 years. So disappointing. Jason came in and wanted to know what we're paying per month for electricity. He's still in the hallway, for Pete's sake, and hasn't even introduced himself or his company. But, he seemed eager so we told him we're on the equalizer plan. He insisted on us giving him the average. I'm sorry to say we did. He told us oh no, you shouldn't be paying more than $200 a month. (What is he basing this on??) Anyway, he continued selling and still hadn't seen the unit. He set the thermostat then checked the air coming out of the vent in the kitchen and said the vent air should read 20 degrees but was only 14 degrees. Not sure why he expected a valid reading within 5 minutes of setting the thermostat but Jason said that told him there were PROBLEMS. He finally went on the roof and came back down to show us a picture of the electrical with sun damage. He said that could cause a fire at any time. He told us we needed a new unit. I said it wasn't in the budget (that's why we have twice-a year maintenance done.) He said how were we going to come up with the money when it stops working then and that I was confused and he'd explain again. Does anyone like to be told they're confused about their own budget? Does this selling technique typically work? He continued with the pressure. We asked what maintenance the unit needed, Jason said NONE. We were perplexed that the previously mentioned sun damage and fire at any time was suddenly a non-issue. We thanked him for coming and then called the office for a refund since we have absolutely no idea of the state of our unit and will need to contact another company to come out and review it (yay). By the way, turns out Jason is wearing a shirt with the name Tony on it because, according to the office, Jason hasn't gotten his shirts, yet. So major selling pressure, no introduction of himself or the company, and a shirt with an incorrect name. I don't know what we were thinking even letting him in! Our AC broke on a Sunday afternoon and we called our regular AC maintenance company. The earliest they could send a tech was going to be Tuesday. So I checked Yelp and quickly found AC Doctors. I was impressed with the 5 star reviews and immediately called them. They had a tech out within 30 minutes. The tech (Jose) was very efficient and diagnosed the problem within minutes. Unfortunately he didn't have the needed parts with him, but assured us that he could be back on Monday for the repair. We had a flight to catch on Monday at noon and asked if he could come early Monday morning. Jose was back at our house promptly at 8am on Monday morning and was able to fix our AC within 30-45 minutes. We had cold air again and were able to catch our flight as well! I had two HVAC systems installed about 2 years ago. Since then AC Doctors has come back 20+ times to fix problems. Most of the issues have not been with the equipment itself, but their poor workmanship. Their ability to diagnose, repair, and test (if they test at all) is also poor. It often requires multiple trips to fix a problem correctly. Here is a sample of some of the problems: failed to replace the flexible gas lines at installation (explosion hazard specifically called out in the installation manual), installing the air handlers so close together that they severely restricted the air flow in the ducts, damaged the low voltage wiring, failing several times to get 2 stage cooling working properly, twice causing significant water damage to the ceiling because they failed to properly glue the PVC condensation line, gas leak in the pipe they installed (another explosion hazard).... read more

Just last year I had my A/C serviced by another company chosen by a home warranty company I had. Worst experience ever, took 1-2 weeks to finally get things fixed, pretty sure there was fraudulent charges they tried to get past on me until I called the home warranty company to investigate. No urgency from them at all during the peak of the summer. So when my A/C went out again this year, I did my research and chose wisely. So happy I went with A/C Doctors!! Best decision. Not only did they get us in the next day from when we called, but they showed up on time. They actually called to see if they could come by earlier which worked so much better for us. They assessed the A/C quickly, efficiently and thoroughly and explained everything as they did it. They replaced the part in under an hour and answered every question my fiancé had and informed us that we should be able to get by another 2-3 years before replacement of the whole unit was needed as long as maintenance was kept up. Gerardo arrived on time with a face mask (we also wore masks) and explained the process to us, answered all our questions and was very helpful, friendly and efficient. Our AC suddenly started blowing air that was not cool around 6PM last night. I immediately began to assume the worst and was afraid I could be looking at spending thousands on a new AC. We bought the house in 2014 and the AC was only 2 years old but the fan motor went out weeks after we moved in so I've been unsure about the unit since then despite the relatively young age. I scoured Yelp looking for an AC company I might be able to trust and decided to contact AC Doctors. I had a plumbing contractor I found on Yelp try to blatantly overcharge me hundreds of dollars so I tend to be a little apprehensive when looking for a new contractor. So I made the call at 6:45 and spoke to Charlotte who was very nice and tried to put me a little bit at ease. She said they could have someone out between 7PM and 10PM which I was relieved to hear. She told me I'd get a text or phone call before the tech showed up. At 8:45 I got both a text and call from Doug who said he'd be there in 15 minutes. Doug and his partner Nestor showed up right at 9PM. After a short time on the roof, Doug came back and said I had a bad capacitor and we were looking at $266 to fix it, plus a $40 trip charge. He also showed me some pictures he took with his phone. I was very happy that Doug and Nestor were able to fix it and have cold AC blowing again by 9:35. So from my first phone call to having my AC fixed was less than 3 hours and I thought the price we paid, while far from cheap, was OK for this kind of quick and friendly service at night. I will contact these guys if I have an AC problem in the future. I am probably going to have them come out once or twice a year to do a check up since this whole experience and the prospect of potentially having to buy a new AC scared the crap out of me. read more

I am blown away! Eric was great. I'm a renter so my management company contacted them, and Im glad they did. My A/C wasn't cooling properly on a 118 degree day. I filed my maintenance request and 15 minutes later the AC company called. Being that it was 1pm on a Sunday I pretty much expected to get an apt tomorrow at the earliest. They work late knowing that we NEED our AC in AZ, and said we have 9pm to midnight available if that works. Of COURSE it did. I WAS HOT. Eric called around 5 and asked if he could come early if that worked for me. It did, and 2 hours later my house is cooling down again. Great service and friendly technician!
