The plumber they sent was knowledgeable and did a thorough job scoping everything and explaining what was going on. Ultimately, we decided to go with a different plumber with similar reviews but a much more appealing quote. I gave 4 out of 5 stars solely because their quote was on the high end, but to be clear, this company was professional, gave us a same-day quote, and did a great job finding the issue.

He called me himself and had a tech to me in an hour. Turns out I did NOT need a compressor. Marshall, the technician who came out, went thru my entire system and found that it was merely a small condensation valve and line that needed to be cleared out. He completed that job in just a few minutes and stayed with me until the house had cooled down from 88 to 78 degrees. This service was a small fraction of the cost of a new compressor. Professional, prompt, caring. How refreshing it is to have an honest vendor tell you the truth and do the job with an eye on long term relationships and not short term profits. In the meantime Ted checked the parts availability and would have saved me a lot of money if that was really the problem. I will definitely use again and recommend this company for your HVAC work. They're knowledgeable and thorough and really care about the outcome.

Didn't seem to be a problem with electric, refrigerant, etc. We'd had the unit serviced recently so not much dirt on the unit.. I guess we're lucky because in the few years we've been here both our units have functioned great. Wasn't sure who to call, but we'd had a great experience with the plumbing side of Hansen, so we reached out. Scheduling was very easy. You can do so online, or a real person answers the phone. They offered to have someone out within a few hours! Our problem wasn't that urgent, but it's comforting to know. Benjamin was our technician, and he was great with communication. He diagnosed the problem (leaking fan motor) very quickly, and gave us options for repair. At no time was he pushy about anything, just factual. We were on the fence with repair vs replace, but decided the unit had enough life in it to repair. Ben also gave us figures on replacing with an eye towards the future. He wrote it all up even knowing that we weren't going to buy anything in the short term. This is really excellent customer service, and you can bet when we're ready we will remember. The repairs were done quickly, we got an email with the invoice and pictures of all the areas worked on. The property was left tidy, and it was an overall excellent experience. That was a week ago, and our AC is working better than it has in the past two years.

So, I was getting a new dryer and decided it would be a good time to clean out my dryer lint vent…read more I ordered a kit with a round brush and some flexible rods that you attach to a drill and feed through the vent to clean out the lint. Sounds simple enough, right? So the flexible rods that screw together unfortunately separate while I'm using the drill and the brush and several of the rods are stuck inside the duct. I watch a YouTube video explaining how to remove it (it apparently happens frequently) by buying additional rods and attaching a "corkscrew" made from a wire hanger which you feed into the duct by hand to hopefully "grab" onto the brush and pull it out. You guessed it, that got stuck too. I called King Air Duct Cleaning and Lance (the owner) assured me that he understood the issue and he would be able to squeeze me in so I could start using my new dryer. Lance was here this morning and he was amazing. Within 20 minutes he had both of the pieces removed from the duct and all of the built-up lint cleared. Then he hooked up my new dryer, tested the airflow and assured me everything was good to go! And the cost was about 1/3 of what I thought it would be! Highly recommended!!!

I asked him to let me know when he was on his way so I could notify her. Not only did he do that, but he notified me again before he knocked on the door to make sure he wasn't waking her up! The cleaning was textbook; he cleared the lint the size of a ball from the vent, did NO upselling, charged exactly what I was quoted and was done quickly. And my clothes now dry on the first load! On April 18, 2019, I had AC by J come out to my house to do a "tune-up" on my air conditioners (AC) in preparation for summer. I have had the AC's for 12 years and have never had a problem with them. I also maintain them very well. The technician from AC by J came out and checked the systems. Performed a cooling precision tune-up verifying reliability, efficiency, safety & overall system quality. Inspecting the evaporator & condenser coils for cleanliness & rust. Monitoring amp draws for the blower motor, compressor & condenser fan motor as well as checking the general condition of these motors. System refrigerant charge was analyzed to verify system efficiency. Part of this inspection involved removing the top (and fan motor) to the units to inspect them and check the refrigerant levels and coils. The technician suggested that he remove and replace DUAL Electricity Phase Shift Unit. Saying that they were not working. I agreed to this and the bill was $827.90. A short time later we noticed that one of the units (for the upstairs) was violently shaking. It was later discovered that one of the three (3) fan blades inside the unit had broken off causing the unit to be out of balance. I called AC by J in the morning and was told that someone would call me back to schedule an appointment in fifteen (15) minutes. I was also told that I might have to pay for the repair of the unit! Which I felt was ridiculous. No one ever called me. I called AC by J back at 3:30pm. They said that they would send someone out that night. They never did and when I called them back (answering service) I did receive a call later in the evening. However, I was told no one would be coming out that night and to turn off the unit. The temperature in Phoenix had risen to almost 100 degrees. I made contact with them the following day and was told no one could come out until Friday(2 days later). A technician did come out on Friday but said that they would have to order the part and it might be in by Saturday. AC by J charged me another $69.00 for a service call! They got the part on Friday and it was agreed they would put in the new fan blades on Saturday, after noon. Saturday at 2:30pm I called them to check the status and was hung up on. They called me back and did eventually come out and replace the fan blade for another $89.00! It took until April 27, 2019 (over a week) to get it fixed and the outside temperature in Phoenix got over 100 degrees during this time. The second technician could not explain to me how the fan blade had gotten damaged. He did say "I've never seen anything like this before." I asked the service manager, during one of my many calls to the company, if anyone had talked to the first technician about the damage and the answer was "no." I feel that it is a HUGE coincidence that I have never had a problem with my air conditioners until I had a "tune-up" by AC by J. Then suddenly right after this service one of the fan blades brakes off. I have to assume that the two are related and that something happened during the "tune-up." Even if it was unintentional. I feel that AC by J should have, in good faith, replaced the fan blade for free. I will never, ever, do business with them again, and I wished I had never called them to begin with. read more

A buddy of mine told me about this company and what a good job they did at his house last summer so I decided to give them a try. I purchased the special they were offering on YELP and called them to make the appointment. The entire process went very smoothly! The gal in the office that spoke to was super nice, asked me when I was available! I thought I'd have to take the time off work for this but when I told her I got off at 2 she said no problem we will set your appointment for 2-5. The day before my appointment I got a call from her reminding me and let me know that they would call when the technician was on his way the next day. The next day just like she said I got a call at 2:15 letting me know that my technician was 30 minutes out. The technician showed up and introduced himself, I'm horrible with names so I can't remember it. Anyway, I noticed when he came in he was clean like I was his first call of the day and was waring shoe covers over his shoes. He came in and explained everything he was going to do and then got right to work. I had not had the ac checked in about 4 years and its 13 years old but when he was done he said the only thing I needed was a run capacitor. (Which was a relief since I thought the news was going to be, your unit is going to die soon.) The unit was in proper working order other than that. He explained the part to me and what it does for the ac and even asked me to come out to take a look. He showed me what a new one should look like compared to mine and it appeared burnt just as he said. I went a head and told him to replace it. When he was done I let him know that I was having issues with my thermostat, keeping the program on it and he said he'd be glad to take a look in more depth at it. I had heard about the new wifi thermostats that are out and asked him what he thought. He gave me a ton of info on them and I felt I was getting an expert opinion instead of listening to the guys at Home Depot. I ended up getting a new thermostat as well. Not just a wifi but one with RED LINK! If you have not heard about this I suggest you check it out. It's made by Honeywell. You can't buy it in stores but you can get the info on it off the website. instead of a 1 year warranty for the wifi thermostats out there AC by J gave me a 5 yr warranty. It's called the Prestige thermostat. The technician installed it and then helped me set up the account on my computer. Programable thermostats are great but my schedule changes day to day. With this state of the art technology I can control this from anywhere in the world from my phone iPad or laptop. It's awesome. I have to say this company was top notch. The professionalism, the customer service and the information I was given to make an educated decision was great! This company is honest and provides a level of service I have not seen in a very long time. They seem to really care about their customers. I will continue to use AC by J from now on... F.J.V First of all, I know that I am a difficult person to satisfy. The moment a service is "B" quality, and I paid for "A" quality, I make sure that the whole world knows about it (American Express recently found out from me in regards to the non-acceptance of Amex Travelers Checks in Europe, for which they had to compensate me generously due to the inconveniences I experienced). Furthermore, I am not shy of going to court if I feel screwed by anyone. I am quite satisfied with AC by Jay. The system was a little expensive for my budget 6.35K (I did negotiate the price down a bit from their original quote allowing me to purchase the longest terms for the warranty and maintenance contract, as well as a better more efficient system). I look forward to the savings on my SRP bill. Remember, when you buy cheap, you buy twice! Also it needs to be mentioned that in this time of the year when AC companies are at their busiest, they did keep their word on the timing for the whole process. The field sales representative Steve F. was on time; as well as the installers Ehnar, Steve and Josh. The installation was a bit challenging. They had to use a crane to get the outdoor part of the unit to the roof over some tall trees that were a bit uncooperative. Also, the indoor installation was challenging. The part of the unit which had to be placed indoors was a little bit too large for the closet opening by about 1/2 inch. The installers Ehnar, Steve and Josh patiently removed drywall and door framing in the pertinent closet in order to accommodate the AC indoor part of the split system. They sealed everything perfectly and restored the drywall and closet door framing to perfection. I was at first afraid of an end result of poor quality workmanship and having to call a carpenter to finish adequately the framing and dry-walling and painting. I was wrong, for the end result was perfect and to my difficult sense of satisfaction. After the installation was finalized, all I had to do is wait a few days for the "Quality Control Inspection". Steve S. (lots of Steves at Jay's) came, checked everything and corrected a small problem with the correct disposal of water condensation in the AC system before it could have become a serious problem. Steve S. displayed a tremendous sense of professionalism and HVAC knowledge. I am quite satisfied. AC by Jay was recommended by a neighbor, since they have been taking care of the maintenance of his unit for years. I tend to trust companies that have been in business for a prolonged time frame. It has taken me a bit to write this review only because we are in the process of moving. Why is that important? Because of our move we needed to have some services done for the buyer and things were moving quickly. So I asked around and AC by J was recommended, and I decided to check out the reviews, all of which were stellar. I decided to go ahead and set-up the appointment to have our Air Condition unit tuned up, and maintenance. Spoke with Eric and arranged the appointment for the following day... Loved that because I was on a deadline. I received a call from AC by J saying that their technicians had finished a pervious appointment and would it be okay for them to arrive early than expected ..... My response was "ABSOLUTELY" now that is good service but wait there is more. When the technicians arrived in uniform they introduced themselves (Josh, and Marc) and when I invited them in they paused and put " BOOTIES "on, over their shoes! If you can't tell, YES I was impressed. Marc and Josh explained everything that they where going to do, asked if I had questions, which I did and they answered all the key points I needed. Josh and Marc where truly genuine, guys and said they will come speak to me about anything that they find. When they came back to tell me of any issues, because I was expecting the worse they only found that the coils needed cleaning. So I had them move forward had them do the work. Now let me say this I assumed that at the end I would be handed a simple invoice of work completed. This was not the case in fact the Two-page invoice was a step-by-step inspection report detailing every reading and component of our AC unit. I will say this, to have AC by J provide such detail to service not only gave us peace of mind but it did the same for the buyer of our home. In fact our realtor had told us that they (they buyer and their realtor) where impressed and so are we. So much so that I called AC by J to come out again and service our garbage disposal immediately after. This time my husband was home, and he said, "you know what, I know you said you where impressed but, WOW you weren't kidding," My husband said that Todd did everything I had mentioned and that he appreciated his attention to detail for the install but for the clean up as well. After living in Phoenix for 25 years, I believe I have found the very best company for both of these services, a company that I can really trust. A few months ago, AC by J installed a new multi-port and ductless air conditioning system in my home because our old system was worn out. It is rare to find a company where the standard for excellence is so high, from the team that evaluated my AC needs (before any equipment was ordered) to the team that did the install and finish work. I am a management consultant that helps companies achieve and maintain new standards of performance and cultures of excellence, so I recognize a great corporate culture when I see one and know that the owners of AC by J have set high standards for their employees to meet. From the first day I met the AC team, I knew that I had found a real partner that cared about giving me the best outcome for my investment, a rare thing to find in the AC industry in Phoenix. We had some special AC challenges created by the original builder of our home and AC by J designed an extremely efficient system to overcome them and give me a warm house in the winter and cool house in the summer for the very first time in 24 years. Several employees were needed to complete the installation. I was impressed with their teamwork, concern for precise measurements, getting the job right, and making sure that I knew how to operate the systems. The systems have performed as promised, another thing that is rare in business today. I also use their plumbing services. The AC by J plumber (Todd) has the same great work ethic and has serviced my home several times. He installed a whole-house water system, a new water heater and new sinks for my remodel project. I moved into a model home that was originally serviced by Chas Roberts. Only when my AC had problems and the technician literally said, "You have a leak." topped off with Freon, and left without even checking to find where the leak was, did I find out the quality of Chas Roberts. My AC was still under parts warranty at the time, which is why I imagine the technician was not eager to actually find the problem. At the time I didn't know that Chas Roberts' bread and butter is actually just installing ACs, not at all maintaining them. They are in fact quite poorly rated for their servicing. Fast forward two years, and I am facing the same dilemma, only this time I am better informed. Chas Roberts told me to wait 4 days before they could come out in the middle of Arizona summer. Needless to say I reached out to yet another AC company, George Brazil. They gave me quite a bit of run-around, said I needed to replace my entire evaporator coil, topped off my Freon and left. Fast forward a single month. My Freon has completely leaked out and I'm dying in Arizona summer again. I found AC by J via Google search thinking I couldn't do much worse than I already had. My goodness was the service entirely different! They found the leak in the hose (not the entire evaporator coil) and said the repair was cheap. In the end I am getting the entire evaporator coil replaced, but that is due to the folly of all of the other repairs that never happened and caused massive corrosion of my unit. AC by J was fast to get out to me, on time, and had two technicians on site. They were both very personable (Tanner & Jorge) and very respectful. I highly recommend them, and I know I will be using them in the future for all of my AC needs. They were very cost competitive compared against several other companies I called (Howard Air, Precision Air, and George Brazil). They in fact beat the prices of all of those services! We moved into our 12 year old house this past Feb. Two weeks ago when the temp started to get into the 100+ range we noticed that two of the bedrooms were not getting adequately cool (we have a zoned system). We called our home warrantee company, they sent out the a technician who could not even diagnose the issue (he claimed that he only could replace the compressor). Well the compressor wasn't the issue it was the dampers and original zoning system that was the problem. So no coverage from them. We called around and found that AC by Jay's had a solid reputation for zoned systems. Their technician came out within one hour of our call that same day and found the issues. The original system was not adequately ducted, the by-pass was not working properly due to faulty dampers, and etc. Another rep (Steve F.) came over two hours later, spent 2 hours looking over our system was very helpful in describing the issues and recommended various upgrades to our system. Having recently replaced a system back east before we moved, it made sense and was a fair (not cheap) price. We hired them to do the work, the two technicians (Derrick and Ian plus 3 other at various times) were at our home from 7am to 11pm. They were having trouble with a low voltage system which controlled the dampers (something was causing a short). Anyways, they did not want to leave until it was done and working correctly. They found the problem, got it right, and our system is cooling all rooms to the desired temp. They were professional, courteous, kept us informed of their progress, appreciated that we let them stay late, and very apologetic of their lengthy stay. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I originally found out about A/C By Jay when I called the Heat Pump Council for a recommendation. They came out and checked out my units and I signed a maintenance contract with them. This was about 7 years ago. On my latest checkup I was informed that one of my units was low on freon. I knew that this meant that I had a leak in the coil and since my units were now 12 years old I decided to have them both replaced. Steve Flaherty came out we discussed several options and I decided that I want the Lennox XC21 which also meant my furnaces had to be replaced. On the day of installation Cole, Derrick, Eric, and Steve came out to perform the installation of my units. All of them were polite and friendly. They installed the new condensers outside the coils and furnaces in the attic and fixed issues that I had with the duct work that the builder put in as well as installed new thermostats. They worked well together performed a very clean install and cleaned up after they completed the work. They also finished all of the work in a timely fashion. While the units were expensive I made the conscious decision to purchase them with no pressure. I was presented several different option I just choose the most efficient option. Two weeks later I had the quality inspection performed by another Steve and he gave the units a thumbs up and will be back again in 6 months to follow up. I have never had an issue with A/C By Jay they have always presented me with options when repairs were needed and have done the work in a timely manner. I needed to have both of my AC units replaced. In doing so, I wanted to make a few alterations in my layout and do some things that were a little unconventional to say the least. Mike W. was fantastic. He came to my home and walked the property with me. As I explained what I wanted done, he was very receptive and echoed back to me what I wanted done and was right on point. I exp[lained to Mike that this was a competitive quote and he did not flinch. I was expecting him to go to his office and send me a quote at a later time, which the other companies I had asked for quotes did, but he wrote the estimate right there at my kitchen table and sent it to me immediately. I told Mike that I would be needing some time to make my decision. He was not pushy, did not ring my phone over and over, and after careful review, although their quote was right in the middle of the other quotes I received. I chose Mike and AC by J because they were respectful of wants and needs. Mike then made sure to come and walk the job with the Job Foreman before any work took place. He also showed up during installation to make sure all the requests I had made were being followed. The installation was prompt. They covered all areas where they would be working and went to work. By the end of the day I had two new units installed and working fantastic. Energy bill is already reflecting the work performed! I like and trust AC by J. I signed a maintenance contract with John's Refrigeration on Oct. 22,2011. Contract was $200.00 and the repairs after the inspection were $630.00. Another inspection was done in May 2012. And ended up with a list of 4 repairs needed. One requiring immediate attention before the air conditioner caught on fire. I asked why these weren't found in October and was told the first only inspected the inside and the second tech in May inspected both in and outdoors. But the paperwork did not state that. And the whole point of a maintenance contract is to maintain the air conditioner inside and out. The repairs in May would of totaled another $630.00. An additional fee of $69.00 would be added because they would have to come back because I don't have that kind of money lying around. And was not expecting any repair needing to done. And another $630.00 was suspicious to me. A friend at work suggested AC by J. I called them and asked them for a second opinion. Roy came out May 10 and showed me on the air conditioner the repairs on John's Refrig. list. Seemed like normal routine maintenance to me. He said yes that is what is done normally. The unit would not of caught fire. Anyway, I will highly recommending AC by J. And John's Refrig. needs to state on their invoices clearly whether they are inspecting the inside or the outside. Especially when I thought the inspections were for both. And a total each time of $630.00 is unusual. read more

It was, of course, one of the hottest of the days, so far, in Phoenix in August and my 25 year old unit finally bit the dust. I have a Home Warranty plan and called them early in the morning. I waited and waited, kept calling the home warranty people and finally gave up as they only had one AC repair place available on their list and they weren't callling. I emailed AC by J and within two hours, Phillip showed up, took a look at my unit and gave me the bad news. We talked about a purchase so after arming me with the info. I needed to have, Phillip called Erik, his supervisor, to come out. In the meantime, my home is now 95 degrees! Erik explained my options to me and I purchased a unit from your company with a 99 YEAR GUARANTEE on the compressor and a 10 year warranty on any other parts AND 10 years labor. Erik and Phillip went way out of their way to cool my place down and Phillip, personally, went out to Scottsdale (at Erik's request) to get a compressor to hook up for me until my new unit gets installed on Wednesday. Erik actually gave me his cell # if there were any issues after Phillip and his coworker, Chris Palmer, got the compressor hooked up and left. These people spent HOURS at my house getting me up and running. I got absolutely outstanding service. Small wonder that they're listed as the one of Phoenix's best for 2013. read more

I may hold the record for number of years as a customer of A/C by Jay. My first experience was when I met Jay Porter in front of a neighbor's house in 1977 or 1978. He was kind enough to climb up to my 2nd story roof to check my broken heating unit which a handyman had said needed a new motor. He came down, said it needed a new fuse, and he had one in his little pickup truck. It cost me all of $5.00! I was hooked and have been ever since. Sadly, Jay passed away, but he left a legacy of honesty and integrity in his wake that his son, son's friend, and the present owners and their staff continue to honor. Jay, Brad, Bryce and the rest of the guys kept that unit going for 25 years and never once pressured me to replace it. Nowadays, it's a whole fleet of techs who provide amazingly prompt service and always try to be accommodating. This includes the office staff as well: Julie, Kelly, and everyone I've ever dealt with on the phone or in my home. They're a terrific crew, every last one of them! Over the years I've referred my clients, friends, and family, knowing they'd be well cared for. When you find a service organization that you can count on, they deserve your loyalty and respect. I want to say THANK YOU to Bryce, Kelly, Ted, Steve, Nate, Derrick, Jerry, William, Buzz, Julie and everyone I may have missed that works for AJ by J, I had interaction with so many people during my new install. There was an issue with my new unit and this company totally understands what customer service is and they truly appreciate there customers. They went above and beyond to resolve the issue and now my system is working as intended and I'm completely satisfied. I was in customer service for over 16 years and they get it. With out customers you have no business. It's with a great deal of pleasure that we are writing this review. We began our search with the BBB for air conditioning repair & AC by Jay received an A+ rating. Our first contact was with the receptionist Rhonda who was so friendly & eager to help us. That same day salesperson Eric J. came to our residence. He spent the next few hours with us explaining the different options we had for a unit replacement. Our old a/c was over 14 yrs. old & was completely shot. Eric was very professional, well informed, & not pushy. We selected a make & model that fit our needs extremely well. Good job Eric! The following morning the finest team of technicians - Derek, Terrell, & Eric P. - arrived at 8am & had a new unit installed in 6 hours. My experience with AC by J has been quite extensive over the past twenty years. I need to say that the technicians I've worked with in these years have been the highest I would rate for their competence and knowledge of the equipment that they service and install. I've never once had anyone who I would not recommend. Then there are the really exceptional few that I would put in a category above the rest as an A+ rating. Derrick Long is in this category. His respect for the people he serves is at a level that is above what I believe his supervisors would expect and should be well aware of. Please ask for Derrick when scheduling any work with your air conditioning. He is beyond what the competence level requires, because he has set that standard for himself. I see in him the kind of character that anyone would recognize as superior for service technicians. This man is the best of the best. Find him and let him show you his value. Easter Sunday my AC went out. My home warranty company couldn't sent anyone as they stated it was Sunday, so I searched the internet myself. Shame on you, Old Republic, but I was Lucky enough to find AC BY JAY! ! ! Their repairman got to my home and discovered the AC condensor was bad; something the last 5 warranty companies could not discover. I asked if his business could come out on Monday and give me an estimate on a new one. Steve F. was kind enough to come to my house before his 2 regular scheduled appointments and give me an estimate. The price was good but I told Steve I needed the system installed that day as I had an elderly person and also a handicapped person living in the residence. He was able to get the install scheduled for that same day. Josh and Matt got to the house in the afternoon and not even four (4) hours later I had my brand new pump pumping out wonderful cold air. i used this company in the past and i was pleased with their on time and fast response. when they say they will be there at 1:00, they are there at 1:00. i called them for my 26 year old unit. i knew it had it and i trust ac by j to give me an honest evaluation. justin minjarez was my tech. he was punctual and honest. justin showed me all the old broken parts on my old unit on the roof. i knew it was dead and way to costly to fix. he recommended a new unit. i agreed. justin and i shared some good family stories while we waited for a supervisor to come out and show me some prices on 5/1/14. i was surprised actually of the good price for a new 13 seer unit. it was installed today 5/2/14. the job was started at 1:30 and completed by 3:30. my house is cold!!! i gotta turn it up to 80. thank you ac by j. you guys are indeed professionals. hey thats why you guys have been around for 30 years. somebody had to wait for my unit to die, right? thank you and thank you justin! read more

Mark C. I just had one of my A/C units replaced along with the A-Coil. Eric Johnson the installer was great to work with as was his worker Terrell. It took them about 4 hours to install the new equipment. It would have been quicker if it hadn't started raining which they worked through. We started using A/C by Jay this past spring for service. Phillip our service Tech was excellent as well. He has a great deal of knowlege and was very helpful. Everyone was very professional and worked very hard as well as being very clean. Price wise, I was a bit taken back. The new 5 ton 13 SEER A/C + A-Coil + new wiring was $4,565.00. I have been a Developer/Builder in Southeast Wisconsin for 32 years. We are not the cheapest either and we do high quality work. So I am used to knowing pricing, work quality and warantee's. A/C by Jay's contract and paperwork is very detailed and complete. I would recomend them to others. read more

I have used AC By J for well over a decade for installing new units and annual maintenance. Recently scheduled an appointment for the annual AC check up. They called the evening before to confirm the appointment for the next morning between 8-noon. Waited all morning for the technician to call or show up. I finally called their office just before noon to get an update and was told the technician was taking more time at another appointment. If that is the case, and they knew the technician would be delayed, then a courtesy call from the office would have been nice. I took time off from work and wasted all morning waiting for the technician to arrive. In the past AC By J has provided good service, but now they seem to be more interested in booking as many appointments as possible without taking care of their customers. I will never use them again, and there are other better companies to consider. read more

We've lived in our home for over 50 years. The plumbing has never been replaced. John (plumber) came to our home early in the morning and started working on our kitchen sink. He tried the routine things but found that our pipe was so crystallized that different actions were required. He called his boss who came to our house in about 15 minutes and looked over the situation. They checked the attic, the sewer--everything to make a complete diagnosis. The boss gave John some options. He told him that first he should try one thing and then another. If that didn't work then ultimately he would have to replace the pipe under the sink. He ended up replacing the pipe in the dirty arm. Now it works. The job was completed in one day. John worked until dinner time to finish the job. We highly recommend AC by J.
