I usually get all asado, ACA plate #1, no beans, with extra salad. and sometimes I throw in the chicken or beef Empanada if I'm feeling extra fat, which is most of the time. First time here and the food was amazing. We got some ACA plates, pao de queso, and empanadas. The owner even told us to check in on yelp to get our free drinks!! dude, this place is amazing. heard about it from a couple buddies and finally decided to check it out. after trying the food, i got pissed at myself for not coming sooner. there were 3 of us and we ordered the #1, #2, and the paella. came out to a little less than $40. definitely would have been able to feed 2 more people. we got there around 8:15, which was close to closing, so we didn't have to wait for a table. the place is pretty small, maybe like 4 tables and some counter sitting. from what we saw, it looked like most people ordered to-go. now, on to the food. 3 letters. y-u-m. the meat is just ridonkulous. dude, i'm a dude, and i know meat. this is some top of the line cow. it's so tender and juicy and flavorful that u keep taking bites until all of a sudden ur getting that sharp pain from your stomach telling u to stop eating. then u eat more. the meat comes with rice and salad and a bunch of different veggies. i usually don't eat vegetables, but everything complemented each other so well that the only word that could describe it is harmonious. and then there's still paella. wow. i've only had paella a handful of times, but this is by far the best i've ever had. there's some kind of seafood in every bite, all delicious. definitely great for sharing. all the food was so effing good. the owner was cool, offering us sauces whenever we were low and making sure the food was all good. gotta try the catering, too. seems like it would be a big hit for meaty get-togethers. this is definitely gonna be a regular spot for me. read more

Perfect. Simply perfect. When we went, I think we got there right after a rush so they were literally out of everything. The only options we had to order were pretty much the ACA plates minus the pork belly as they were out of that too. So my husband and I each got plate #1. I asked to replace the chorizo with more adobo (as I'm not a huge fan of chorizo) and my husband got both chorizo and adobo. When we got our plates, I think what caught me most by surprise was how colorful and healthy the plate looked. It was very neat. I took the first bite and good lord... I must have gone into a trance. The next few minutes were literally like i had been blown out of this world and into some far away land of beauty and deliciousness. The adobo didn't have the slightest hint of that nasty meat grease that I've grown so accustomed to from other restaurants. It was juicy and tasted healthy and full of flavor. Not only that, it was definitely slow cooked to perfection. It was so heavenly, I felt like my life was complete. The veggies were so perfectly cooked and seasoned as well. Some were fresh and some were cooked I don't remember exactly but all the tastes blended together so well. And the sauce (I'm assuming it's salsa verde)! The sauce brought the meat up onto a whole other level. It was already good but with the sauce.. goodness gracious. Why hadn't I ever come to this place before? This is definitely going to be one of our regular stops when we come to LA. One of the owners came over to us and we talked for a while. Really nice guy. I tried to convince him to open one of these grills up in Redlands or somewhere closer to us in the IE. Perhaps in the future, he says. I used to love this place and came here all the time when they first opened up. I've even ordered the family combo many times for multiple gatherings and parties. The food quality itself is good and hasn't changed much. However, I haven't been here in a while and I've noticed the service has gone down significantly. Not only do they give you less portion, (consider that their prices went up as well) the customer service is horrible. The owner (whom I believe is the owner) was not only rude to me and my table but also to other customers as well. A customer walked in, for the first time I assume, with questions about the menu. She was quick to disregard them with attitude and tried to rush her to order (mind you there was no one else waiting behind her). I do enjoy the food so I'm a little upset that I had to experience that kind of service. read more

Was looking on yelp for something nearby and came across this place and seeing the reviews I decided to give it a try. Got the Empenadas the Asado, pork belly, sausage and of course my fave drink whenever I can find it Guarana. I have to admit the Asado and pork belly was pretty good. The sausage was mehh and the empenadas were ok. My rating comes from just the Asado as it left an impression in me in which I must go again very soon. Definitely recommend this place. Got 1/2 lb and no it wasn't all just for me.. FYI You can get a #2 which is 1/2lb of asado and kind of mix it half with asado and half either sausage or pork belly. Customer Service, Atmosphere and Parking: The owners were very friendly and helpful for a first timer. Customer service is a plus. This place is where San (Mountain Diner) is. SO the parking structure is very small. Park in the street or if you find parking inside then you're in luck. The place itself is really small. Maybe like 8 to 10 people max cap.
