Acai Republic is such a great spot when I am craving something refreshing and filling at the same time. I ordered The Cali Acai Bowl in a mini and it was perfect. I added coconut, regular granola, and both honey and agave, and everything worked so well together. The base was smooth and flavorful, the granola added the perfect crunch, and the sweetness level was just right. The portion was great for a mini and still left me feeling satisfied without being too heavy. Everything tasted fresh and well balanced, and it is honestly the perfect breakfast when you want something light but energizing. read more

Acai Republic always hits the spot when I have a craving for an acai bowl! I've tried so many places from fancy like Blue bowl to plain like Sambazon, but Acai Republic is my favorite because it stays simple and true to Brazilian Acai. I've only ever tried their Brazilian base but it's my absolute favorite. The small is actually a decent size because they pack the bowls with acai and toppings here. The service is always friendly, even though there's only one main guy that's working there! He is SUPER friendly and remembers everyone! It's always clean and the decor is true to any acai place. There aren't too many places to sit indoors so I recommend going outside to the outdoor patio seating and enjoy the weather with your acai bowl! Acai republic is my go to Acai place and I'm so excited that it's summer and time for lots of acai! read more

Bomb açaí. Been to a couple different locations of Açaí Republic. Each of them was good. Ingredients look and taste fresh. Service is usually pretty quick. Had Rodrigo help me out today and the dude was super cool! Great employee to have and made this one of my favorite locations just off the great customer service alone. To say I'm obsessed with this place is an understatement! I've been to many açaí places (I have a serious love for açaí) and this is one of the best places with the best açaí. I've tried all of them and none have disappointed me, my favorite is the São Paulo though with coconut shreds. The owners are super cool and the employees are awesome too. Service was great as it was just one worker for everyone who came in. The place was decorated cute. As for the bowl, it's the most expensive one I have had yet and for the least amount of flavor. Chia pudding was not the greatest it had too much vanilla. The acai was just ok. I did not take any pictures of my açai bowl. Overall, it tasted really good. The exception is that I wish I did not order strawberries for a topping because the majority of the strawberries did not taste good. They were white and green and hard and without flavor. The rest of my bowl was enjoyable and a nice cold treat on a hot day. read more

I love Acai bowls and this was my first time trying Acai republic . Located in town center next to a bunch of restaurants with plenty of parking . Service was super nice . We got 4 bowls and took our time choosing . Very patient . Usually we are used to picking our toppings so it was a little different picking out the premade flavors . I got the real Brazilian. The Acai is very yummy! I love to go here for a dessert or a quick healthy breakfast! If you havent tried acai before, i recommend trying out this place! The employee is very nice and friendly! My acai usually finishes in 2-6 minutes. You order on a large touch screen and they do not accept cash. They also have seating and a couch to sit and wait for your acai. Pretty good acai bowls! Came here during a recent hot day and surprisingly they weren't too busy - just a few people in line and a few people outside eating. It's a small place with a welcoming feel. Friendly service, and I love how I can see the bowl being made. Besides acai bowls, they also sell pastries and some brownies - nice selection when we went. We tried the The São Paulo per their recommendation and we loved it. Very refreshing and we loved the banana and strawberry toppings. We had it slightly sweetened with honey. The granola had a great crunch to it, which added a nice texture to the smooth acai blend. Our kids ate it up! We also tried the coxinha (shredded chicken pastry), ham and cheese empanada, and Zé Brownie. We were also gifted a couple of pieces of cheese bread! Not only is the staff super friendly and helpful, the acai bowls are also amazing. The fruits were fresh and so sweet. Their empanadas are also very tasty. We tried the spinach and cheese ones and the beef ones as well. We also tried the circle one with cream cheese and chicken. Everything tasted great but my favorite was the spinach one. While waiting for my juice I overheard her explain and suggest some really good smoothies and fruit combos. They refuse to take cash, tell me download the app. I can't support a business that won't accept the American dollar. There are places that only accept cash but this is bizarre. Too many alternative options for acai around here that will happily take a $20 / $100 bill. Maybe if they provided some sort of logical reasoning but this makes no sense and they can't explain why. I packed the rest to-go, and ended up ordering two extra meat empanadas and a Coke Zero (partly because I needed to break a $20 bill so I could leave a cash tip!). I feel like I like being able to eat so many fun toppings even more than the actual acai base, so I love how they have a huge variety of ones to choose from. Didn't know the Spectrum opened up an Earthbowl until recently and I placed an order online as I was in a rush. I will say that some of my favorite toppings were out of stock online, like the mulberries and cacao nibs. I remember they would always load me up on those and they were so good! I was craving acai about a week later and went to order again online, but those two toppings were still unavailable so I didn't end up ordering again. All in all, still love Earthbowl but I think the Lake Forest location still has the #1 spot in my heart. The sizes here have also gotten a little smaller and prices have gone up, but I get that a lot of time has passed. I'll definitely be waiting for those toppings to be restocked and if I'm at the Spectrum again, would love to give it a try again!

When I came in, someone out of sight told me to place my order on an electronic board. As much as I thought I liked that I could electronically order my own food, I missed the lack of customer service where I could ask questions. Because of that I got the same old thing I always get even though I really wanted to try something different. I wanted to ask a few questions but felt uncomfortable doing so. The only time I saw anyone was when they came to bring my order out and they were pretty cold. It is really my only complaint because otherwise everything was fine and the bowl was good. I guess I'm just old school and like customer service rather than DIY. read more

That said, you do know the value of the bag you are purchasing and it's usually at least 50% off. The bag I purchased was around $6, with a promised value of around $18. However, they gave me one bottle of juice. According to the website, this juice is sold for around $8.50. That is almost $10 short of the advertised value of the bag I purchased. I was very disappointed because the menu looked great and when I walked in I was already thinking that I would come back at some point and order off the menu because there were so many things that I wanted to try. But they were dishonest on the app, and that ruined it for me. I know a lot of establishments use the ToGoodToGo app to advertise their business rather than to avoid food waste, and I have no problem with that, but I do have a problem with them advertising over 60% savings and then only giving two dollars off. It is not worth getting a random item for such small savings, and it was straight up dishonest of them. (Btw, TooGoodToGo has amazing customer service and they refunded me the full amount. A partial refund would have been fair, but a full refund is even better.) I gave two stars instead of one because the one juice they gave me was good and the girl who helped me was very friendly. But it's not a business I want to support.
