This is $18 of wings. I don't think so.
    Gabriel M.

Let's start with the staff , chips and salsa are 5 We ordered tongue tacos $25 for two with rice and beans, I'm going to say the meat tasted a little old and chewy and tongue should melt in your mouth. Second was wings they are 10 wings for $18 these I'm almost 100% sure are the Tyson chicken wings from Costco they're very small. And the third entrée I believe was $24 it was beef chili, Colorado I was offered many different meats for this dish, ground beef, shredded beef, pork chicken so I'm guessing none of. It's really cooked in the sauce. They just add the sauce do whatever meat you want. It was tasty. It was good. That was probably the best dish out of all of them.

Wow! I didn't know I needed to drive to Soldotna from Anchorage for good Mexican food! After dozens of disappointing Mexican meals in Alaska- FINALLY I am so happily satisfied for delicious food!! Halibut tacos were perfect and you got a decent amount of halibut. Queso was perfect and much welcomed! Service was on point! We enjoyed their beautiful back grassy area while eating, it was perfect for letting a baby and dog crawl around.

    Seafood Relleños
    Jocelyn F.

Highly enjoyed the seafood (shrimp & crab) relleños. Weren't battered and fried, but still delicious with a great sauce. Added fresh onions, salsa, and cheese from the salsa bar. Kiddo had the chicken nuggets and fries (shoestring and cooked & salted perfectly) from the extensive kids menu. Plenty of choices there, more than I've ever seen on a kids menu. Hubby had the three choice combo and thought it was meh (his relleños was battered and delish). I say stick to the dinner specialties.

Had better. Had worse. Pricey mexican food, even for Alaska. Waitress was nice. Parking lot was large enough for the number of tables.

Very friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. Tasty food for a reasonable price. The fajitas and margarita are worth the visit.

The meat tasted very off, and honestly pretty nasty. I got the carne asada enchiladas and they were not good at all.

Compared to other Mexican restaurants you will pay quite a bit more for the same dish. For example, a seafood chimichanga at Playa Azul is under $25 but here it is $32. All of the dishes were like this which is disappointing and unfortunate. If you are in Kenai or Soldotna and want yummy Mexican cuisine this is a great spot but it will hit your wallet a lot harder than other places in town with the same fare. 4 star food but dropped to 3 for being overpriced.

Their breakfasts and dinners are HUGE, their steak is UNBELIEVABLY tender, and the prices are totally worth it-- their burritos are GIANT--really 2.5 meals. Their veggies are cut of in M-Lg chunks--al dente--so they're toothy Their rice grains are larger and fluffier yet have more flavor than anyone's I've ever tasted--and the Tortilla chips (freshly made) come warm and in a ENORMOUS paper bag! (Watch out if you want HOT salsa!! Ha-cha-Cha!) We loved it and got what we asked for! Beautiful FLAN! The most authentic--topped with light caramel syrup-- HUGE and satisfying!! Save it for breakfast--not toxically sweet--it's a dense pudding texture--authentic--a pure and simple delight! Muy bueno, Los Compadres, Muy bueno! Olé!!

Picqued by the sight of a large grill with carne asada being kissed by flame and throwing off that familiar grilled meat that a caveman like myself appreciates, I stood in line and forked over the dough for 2 tacos. Bear in mind I am a native Californian and have interfaced with many a taco truck and the many interpretations offered, so perhaps my standards of what a taco is might be higher than most in Alaska. The tacos were presented as most tacos are presented; on a non descript paper plate with the obligatory napkin. They were dressed with a green style salsa, onions y cilantro, and nada mas. I mean, what else is needed? Grilled onions on the side, maybe some sliced avocadon top to really send it home. But alas - that wasn't offered. The tacos themselves were not something to write home about. Mediocre at best. But, if you've been in the Alaskan bush for a week without access to electricity and running water, these would probably be considered not too shabby. The grilled carne was not too sabor, the tortillas warm and limp, but at least the onions and cilantro did their part as much as they could do considering everything else. I'm willing to give them another chance but i would have to be super hungry, unwashed from living off grid, and not have to wait in line.

Pretty limited menu, but it was fine because they had biscuits and gravy and I was very excited for that. We went in at 1215, brunch goes until 3pm. I ordered my biscuits and gravy and about 15 min later the waitress told me the only other table in the restaurant (who was seated after us, but order was taken before ours) had ordered "the last full and half order of biscuits and gravy and they were now out" but the waitress didn't "know" that until 15 min after I ordered. I was very disappointed and irritated as when we planned our brunch yesterday I had looked at the menu and had been waiting for those only to be told they were out. I get you only make a certain amount of things sometimes but this isn't the first time something like this has happened to me there, I have them two precious chances and had similar experiences. After she came and told me about the biscuits, it was another 15 min before we got our food. It was about 35 min from the time we ordered until we got our food, they were not busy with only the two tables. The people who came in after us, were seated, ordered, got their food and we're getting boxes before we every got ours and she took our order right after theirs. As much as I like the food and have tried to give this place multiple chances, I will not be returning again.
