Super easy to miss. Plug into your GPS especially if coming Southbound! Prices are super fair We stopped in at 8:15, they close at 9 so we were eating as staff were starting to clean tables, sweep and stack chairs. Super pro: individual salsa cups! You can do all the double dipping you want! They have white queso as an appetizer (without spinach) which is shockingly hard to find. I ordered two items off the individual menu. The taco was stuffed with meat which is usually a good thing, but it fell apart upon trying to even pick it up. We would stop here again if in the area. Came to this restaurant with local residents. The location and views are spectacular of the Alaskan mountains of the back deck. The food options were good, but the flavor could have been better. Minus the mistake by the server not putting in the correct order for our table, eventually the dish came I ordered. It was hot and fresh, just a bit flavorless. Let's start with the staff , chips and salsa are 5 We ordered tongue tacos $25 for two with rice and beans, I'm going to say the meat tasted a little old and chewy and tongue should melt in your mouth. Second was wings they are 10 wings for $18 these I'm almost 100% sure are the Tyson chicken wings from Costco they're very small. And the third entrée I believe was $24 it was beef chili, Colorado I was offered many different meats for this dish, ground beef, shredded beef, pork chicken so I'm guessing none of. This place is awesome Rafael was a very animated and friendly waiter he was from the same town I was and it was very very nice my wife had the tamale with rice and beans and she said it was excellent I on the other hand had the chili relleno with rice and beans that also was excellent we ordered the queso with jalapenos in it delicious. Wow! I didn't know I needed to drive to Soldotna from Anchorage for good Mexican food! After dozens of disappointing Mexican meals in Alaska- FINALLY I am so happily satisfied for delicious food!! Halibut tacos were perfect and you got a decent amount of halibut. Queso was perfect and much welcomed! Service was on point! Acapulco is hands down my favorite place to eat in Soldotna! The staff is always so friendly, and the restaurant is spotless every time we visit. I had the cheese enchilada and shredded beef chimichanga--both were delicious, with the beef being super tender and packed with fantastic flavor. The chips were perfect, not greasy at all, and I really love their salsa bar. My husband got the cheese enchilada, shredded beef taco, and chicken tamale, and I have to say, that tamale was one of the best I've ever had. I can't get enough of this place. I usually like to only leave good reviews, but I drove all the way here and i bought a fajita for two and another regular fajita. I get back to my house and they gave me two regular fajitas. When i call they try to argue with me about it then say they will give me what they left out. I get there and they say "we gave you the regular amount of meat" and they give me the chips and rice and beans they left out. NEVER buy the "Fajita for two" from them unless you like paying double the price and poor service. read more

Highly enjoyed the seafood (shrimp & crab) relleños. Weren't battered and fried, but still delicious with a great sauce. Added fresh onions, salsa, and cheese from the salsa bar. Kiddo had the chicken nuggets and fries (shoestring and cooked & salted perfectly) from the extensive kids menu. Plenty of choices there, more than I've ever seen on a kids menu. Service was very friendly, and our waiter was always attentive. Mole enchiladas and verde burrito were both very yummy. Only issue was the drinks, it didn't seem like there was a classic margarita because the one I ordered used like carbonated water or something bubbly that I've never encountered, this made the drink taste more watery and less lime. The horchata was good but it also had a texture like it contained some kind of cream which I'd also never had and it also made it taste more milky. We were driving by from Seward to Homer and stopped here. We ordered the queso, halibut chipotle, 3 enchilada plate, and combo tamale/taco. Everything was really good! The shredded beef taco was very flavorful, enchilada & chipotle sauces were tasty, halibut was tender, and enchilada fillings were all very good. The queso was flavorful and hit the spot on a cold day. The chips were crispy and the salsa bar was fun. Our favorite Mexican restaurant in Soldonta. The tortilla soup is fantastic, some of the best tortilla soup I've ever had. The service is friendly, which is typical for a Mexican restaurant. The menu is diverse, something for everyone. This restaurant would also be very popular if located in parts of this country with a large Mexican American population and a lot of competition, the southwest. Excellent Mexican food! We eat Mexican 1-3 times a week so like to think we know what's good and this place was really good. I have visited Acapulco to dine about 30 times in the past 2 years. Yesterday, I was thrown a curve ball when my bill arrived. They now want to charge extra for paying with a credit card. So, I paid with a credit card because I don't carry cash. Until they change back to the same price, cash or credit card, I will not be dining there anymore. It's already bad enough how expensive dining out has become and now they want to gouge more from their customers' wallets. Hello Senior Panchos, here we come. We were wanting someplace close and also craving Mexican food. From Texas, so maybe our palate is accustomed to Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican cuisine. So, the salsa was very different for us. Almost had the flavors of marinara. Asked for green sauce but didn't get. Ordered queso Blanco - was ok but would've been better hot. We all ordered something different and were all just "full." Nothing to write home about and the most disappointing thing was nothing was hot. All just lukewarm or room temp. Beer was cold, though! Tables had been moved to accommodate a larger party and area from under where table was, was very disgusting. It was there from when we arrived until when we left. Just gross to look at trash, good, silverware, sugar packets, etc. while you eat. It was about 25% full and we were seated immediately. Waitress very nice. read more

Probably the best Mexican food on the Kenai. I ate at an establishment in town last year and it was completely bland. This place is full of flavor. Go over to the salsa bar and get the hot salsa. As a native Texan, I am admittedly a Mexican food snob. This food was really bland and I couldn't even figure out what flavors they were going for. It tasted very "off." Terrible food and insanely high prices, I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the worst Mexican food I've ever had. It took almost 45 minutes to get our food when the place was not very busy. The meat tasted very off, and honestly pretty nasty. I got the carne asada enchiladas and they were not good at all.

I ordered the halibut fish tacos and my bf the carne asada burrito. The tacos had chopped grilled onion, which I absolutely loved! My bf said that the asada near was very tender and flavorful. They also do free delivery which was a plus. I would absolutely eat here again. read more
