In the contract there is no mention of stair surcharges either, so it feels like the individual movers that performed the work added this on top of the contracted fee. The movers did not speak English fluently which added to the confusion over payment and breakdown of costs. Overall the job was performed as expected but the final costs were way more than expected.

Jeremiah's communication heading into the move was excellent and Mike and his team arrived right in the window they said they would. As soon as I gave them the rundown of the place, they wasted ZERO time and got straight to work - all the way until the last item was carried into the new place. Heading into this move, I was worried about taking apart our bed frames and putting them back together. Mission Movers took care of it at no extra cost. But the biggest thing for me is how friendly and HONEST the team was. One of my dining chairs was already cracked before the move and they approached me and apologized for thinking they did it. That small gesture went a long way for me and I know they were going to find a solution even if it was their fault. They also could've charged me for a full 4 hours but charged me to the exact minute they worked at 3.75 hours. Not to mention it was also a really hot day and they powered through it without a single complaint. My wife and I have said several times that we don't know how we would've done it without Mission Movers. I know exactly who I'm hiring for any of my future moves. 10/10 experience! Complete Failure. Paid for experience, received inadequate labor…read more I hired All Service Movers expecting a professional crew capable of handling a move involving stairs. At $210 per hour for a three-person crew, they were the most expensive company I considered. I chose them mainly because I expected the quality to match the price. I got burned on this one. When scheduling the move, I explained it involved one flight of stairs at the pickup location and two flights of stairs at the destination. The heaviest items were standard household furniture including dressers, a sofa bed, tables, and similar items. There were no safes, pianos, appliances, or other unusually heavy items. When discussing how many movers would be needed, I was told two would probably be enough. I chose to pay for a three-person crew mainly because of the stairs, expecting they would handle it better. From the beginning, it was obvious the crew struggled navigating the stairs, repeatedly stopping to reposition furniture and moving at a pace that unnecessarily extended the job. I even found myself carrying heavy boxes over my shoulders up the stairs, and also taking items to the garage myself while paying for a three-person moving crew. I did this not only because I couldn't bear to watch the crew struggle, but also because the clock was ticking and every unnecessary delay was costing me more money. The move lasted 8 3/4 hours, went into overtime, and I was charged for the additional time. Even after that, the move was not completed. Furniture still needed to be placed and assembled. I chose to end the job once I witnessed the dolly scraping on my newly installed flooring. That's when I flipped. Told them it's time to go. It didn't dawn on me that they'd been using an unprotected dolly throughout the move. Once they left, I started unpacking and inspecting my stuff further. I discovered additional damage to my freshly painted walls, new and existing furniture, stair trim, and a scratch on my newly installed sliding door. To put this into perspective, Home Depot later delivered multiple large appliances up the exact same stairs using only two delivery personnel. They handled the stairs confidently without repeated stops or hesitation. I have also used another moving company in the past, and the difference in capability was obvious. The effort the movers put in is not in question. They worked hard. The issue was the lack of experience, strength, proper equipment, and overall capability needed to handle this type of move. In my opinion, All Service Movers failed to assign a crew capable of handling this type of stair move. Their lack of efficiency cost me additional overtime charges, resulted in unnecessary damage to my home and belongings, and left the move unfinished. To make matters worse, after documenting the damage with photographs and submitting a claim, the company offered only $100 toward an estimated $400 in damages. And the $400 estimate was generous. I cannot recommend All Service Movers based on my experience. A professional moving company should assign a crew capable of performing the job they were hired to do without causing unnecessary damage, unnecessary overtime charges, and an incomplete move. Still unpacking. Hope there's no additional damage.

Shipping a car feels a little risky, but I felt safe using Orange Auto Transport. I'd definitely use them again and highly recommend their service.

They denied doing anything wrong, but when people continued complaining, they gave some customers a couple more dollars to calm the situation down. This experience felt very shady and unprofessional. Customers should not feel rushed out or uncomfortable for checking whether they were paid correctly. I'm sharing this so others know to double-check everything before leaving.

I love supporting family owned businesses with quality service and reasonable price point. I'm glad I found AG Moving services, Julia is very accommodating, she was able to booked me in minutes! Did not ask for card or down payment. Just complete trust! I really appreciate the reminders and constant communication all throughout the moving process until the movers get into my place. I had John and Ken worked with me. As soon as they get to my place they introduced themselves and assessed the entire place, told me the moving strategy to which room they will start to the next and which will go last. After that, they are on their own and I did my own thing, did my best to stay out of their way. What I love about this team is that they are professional and I saw how they wrap and unwrapped my furniture and things with care. It took us 7 hours to pack, move and unpacked. I had several furniture they disassembled and put them back nicely to my new home. It was a lot of work but they work with all smiles on their faces and caught them singing from time to time. I recently hired Beck and his team to lead a project on my out-of-state move from Irvine, CA to Northern Arizona. Beck and his team were fantastic. Beck and his team are hard workers, no doubt about it. They were efficient as heck and got everything done in the promised time. Plus, he was mindful to check in with me regularly throughout the move and kept me in the loop the whole time. This definitely made the whole process way less stressful. But the thing that really stood out for me was how conscientious Beck and his team were. They treated my stuff like it was their own and I felt like I could trust them completely. On the drive over to AZ, my wife and I followed them out but broke off to check in overnight at a local hotel. We got up the next morning and brought bagels for the team, but definitely wanted to get to the our destination at the agreed-upon time. And, super impressive, but the moving crew was already on site... well ahead of the agreed-upon time and ready to unload! Beck and his team are fantastic, plus, they're just all-around cool folks - super affable and easy to work with. If you need someone to lead your move, I can highly recommend this team. read more

I never hired a moving service before but I never had to move a full apartment, they made the experience completely seamless. I was expecting tears and something to go terrible awry but it didn't happen, by the end of the day I was so grateful for their expertise, hard work, and willingness to go above and beyond. I hate moving but this experience really wasn't all that bad and I will 100% hire them again. I was recommended them by my best friend who just moved from LA to OC and I myself moved from west hollywood to south LA. I don't know if it was excessively pricey (no previous experience) or not but for review transparency I had a full two bedroom apartment and it was around $1250 (8 hour move + box truck + packing assistance if needed + bed breakdown/assembly + drive time and a half)+ $300 tip (split between all three men who assisted). You get what you pay for and I feel like I got the best experience!! Also this is a real review and I'm making it one week after the experience lol I was cracking jokes with the guys by the end of the day they're so nice! read more

I can't recommend AG Moving enough. Very efficient to organize and very well priced. We moved out of a one bedroom apartment with all our small items boxed. Den and his colleague arrived on time and began removing boxes and disassembling our furniture right away. They were incredibly cognizant of their surroundings and of making sure no items were damaged. We moved into the new unit incredibly quickly with no hiccups. The new unit had no elevator and Den and his colleague hauled all the furniture up the stairs - including incredibly heavy items, again being very careful not to damage any equipment. They reassembled all the furniture very efficiently and placed all items in the locations of our choosing. While not expected, mounting TVs back on the walls and bolting equipment to the walls was not a service of AG Moving. That would absolutely not change my mind of using them again as they were incredibly professional, efficient, and accommodating. read more

From the moment they arrived, they were super friendly, polite, and clearly knew what they were doing. They handled all our stuff with such care, wrapping everything up and using mats to protect our floors. What really stood out was how quickly they disassembled and reassembled our heavy dining table and king-size bed--way faster than I expected! And not a single scratch or ding on anything. We sent them a video of our place, and they recommended 3 movers and 1 truck, which was perfect. Alex and John showed up right on time and ready to work. As soon as we figured out where to park the truck, they got right to work after quickly assessing the job at hand. They reviewed the rate and pricing breakdown before and again after the job was done to confirm we were paying the correct amount. They were incredibly polite and professional. Moving, especially with a baby, is always so stressful but Moving Services AG was such a huge help. They are honestly the best movers I've ever had. Their team was responsible and reliable. Showed up on time, worked sooooo incredibly hard, and took great care of our furniture, floors and walls. Everything arrived in perfect condition and not a single nick on walls. If you need movers, you NEED to call these guys! Den and Andrew were simply the best - professional, kind, and efficient. We moved into an upstairs apartment with a very narrow staircase and were so impressed with how quickly and carefully they were able to get all of our furniture up there. I had only hired 2 guys for my move, and they showed up with 3. I was told I had to now pay for all 3, otherwise the whole crew would leave and I would have to wait for a totally different crew of 2, and there was no timetable on when or if that would even happen - so I may just not have a move at all. It was already mid afternoon and I didn't have time to wait, so I just went with it and paid more than I budgeted. Ultimately the move went smoother because of having 3 people, but they still finished before the 3 hour minimum had passed. They finished in about 2hr 30m. I'm not sure how much longer 2 guys would have taken or how the cost would have compared. But ultimately this miscommunication was stressful and I felt I had no choice but to just go with it. 2. The lead of the crew was great, but his 2 guys were not as professional or careful when it came to moving fragile or less common objects. I had to babysit the movement of a few pieces or move them myself.

The reason I am giving them five now is because I just used a different local moving company to pack my apartment and load a truck I rented, and I was highly dissatisfied with the service. I won't name this business, but the work did not reflect the cost and I wouldn't recommend that business to anyone. Comparing it to my experience with Stear, I knew I had to sit down and write the review. In July of 2021 I hired two workers to pack my 1 bedroom apartment, load their own truck, unload the truck at my new apartment, AND they drove the truck over to the nearby Goodwill so I could drop off four pieces of large furniture that I was donating for no extra charge. It took a total of 6 hours (my new apartment was only a few streets from my old one), and cost $800 pre-tip. One of the guys definitely worked his ass off the entire time, but I saw the other guy on his phone many times and slowly packing items. My roommate said she saw him chilling downstairs over to the side, and when he saw her he pretended to be working. That was the reason I was going to knock them down a star. But again, comparing the amount of work they got done in the time they did, and at the price they did it, to that of the company I just used, I am locking in at five stars. On top of that, all items were wrapped well enough that nothing was broken in the move, nor was I worried about it. They also knew obvious things like "wrap glass in wrapping paper before packing" and "don't pack living plants in boxes". That is in stark contrast to my recent experience. Here's a breakdown so you can get an idea of the competition: Stear (2021): -hired to pack 1 bedroom apartment and move items to new apartment (0.3 miles away) -I had more items in this move -they drove to a second location so I could drop off some furniture to be donated -all boxes and wrapping materials included in rate -2 men -I hardly did any work -$800 total -6 hours total Company #2 (2022): -hired to pack 1 bedroom apartment and load truck I rented -I didn't have items to donate and I had less items in this move -my dad and I were helping by packing and organizing the entire time -charged per box, wrapping materials "included" but they didn't have wrapping paper for fragile items (they used mine from my last move) -3 men (plus my dad and me) -they only had to pack and load a truck, didn't have to drive it anywhere -$700 total (was going to give me a "discount" at $760, I was like no) -4 hours 50 minutes total

But here is a list of pro's and con's: Pro's: Team showed up promptly on time Wrapped furniture Moved quickly Cost effective Con's: Dinged/knicked some furniture pieces (dresser, fridge) Was unable to relocate washer and gas dryer for liability reasons, so I had to hire an additional mover for those appliances Place the furniture every which way and whatever at the new rental Conclusion: I appreciated their honesty and straightforward answers when it came to moving/relocating certain items. Perhaps I would use them again for future moves. I'm just grateful for all their heavy lifting and time.

We had to go back into the storage unit to find the missing items. I told them several times I wanted to vacuum the rugs before they rolled them up. They didn't listen to me. They didn't wrap/protect the mirrors when they were loading them on the truck or packing them in our storage unit. I had to go back and wrap them up. They nicked a door in our house when they were moving items in. I'll have to have that repaired. All in all, I think the did not follow directions well. Not sure if it was a language barrier, as they often spoke another language to one another. But I wish they had followed my clear instructions so I wouldn't have to to back and rectify their mistakes. Would not recommend for this reason.
