This is a LARGE 3 scoop! Pretty skimpy all around!! So disappointing
    Julie N.

Tried this place multiple times since they opened... it honestly seems like they are getting worse. The portions are SUPER small and EVEN the (free) add on extras are VERY SKIMPY!!! You can see for yourself on the picture I posted. ...and for the largest 3 scoop... the price is $18.75 out the door... I really wish there were comparable places in OC to the South Bay where you can get a bowl with 5-6 times MORE (quality) sashimi... for ~$13. Disappointed, AGAIN. I think I'm done here... Sorry, not sorry.

Build your own bowl. Ask for jenny or victor.

Make sure you call ahead of time and ask if jenny or victor is there to serve you. They will curate a big beautiful bowl of poke for you unlike the other main manager who routinely skimps out on toppings and give you half scoops. At $16 for a bowl with taxes this ain't cheap. The poke is fresh and their is tons to select from, the store is pretty bare bones.

    They hire anybody!

I ordered a mini poke bowl from here that was 10 bux and the lady gave us two small squares of poke and I asked for more like the picture showed and she said it was a "mini bowl" the lady also barley spoke any English and took two tries making the bowl because she couldn't understand us. Please don't come here if you have a brain or don't like being scammed.

Ahipoki is a contemporary poke joint that puts a twist on the authenticity of Hawaiian poke. We ordered build-your-own poke bowls, and each protein was naturally fresh. The other sides such as mixed greens, imitation crab, and cucumbers added a boosted scent of freshness and lightness, complementing the heavy sauces. Some toppings such as their kimchi and seaweed salad threw the comprehensive flavor of the poke bowl off. Ahipoki's contemporary approach to poke bowls may spur an inauthentic remark to poke lovers.

The Chicken and Shrimp combo bowl is a winner! Great post workout meal. With brown rice, crab, avocado, pineapple

If it is the Fourth of July and you are at Huntington Beach scrambling to find a healthy food option for lunch or dinner, or just looking for a reliable poke spot, this is the place you can count on. The store is simple, spacious, and clean, and the staff are very kind and patient. They even let us sample the proteins before choosing, which honestly surprised me because I did not know that was even an option. This spot also offers kimchi, which I personally love and have not seen at other poke places. It was a bit too sour for my taste, but still a nice addition. The portions were generous and the flavor was great overall. What made this place stand out even more is that they were actually open during the Fourth of July. A lot of poke places showed as open online, but my boyfriend and I drove to several spots nearby HB only to find them closed. We ended up wasting time, lost our parking spot at Huntington Beach, and even missed the fireworks. So if you are at the beach on the Fourth of July and need something healthy to eat, especially if you did not bring any food, this is a great spot to stop by.

2 Scoop Poke Bowl with spicy tuna & tuna luau

Best poke bowls in HB imo because of the quality fish, variety of sauces and toppings, and value for the price. Jessica is a fantastic server: friendly, thorough, and does a great job all around to ensure guests get exactly what they want. While the seating is limited, we've always been able to sit down and eat when we come. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for really good poke.

The sushi was fresh, and the poke bowl was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed every bite, especially with the wide variety of toppings available. It was a little bland, but that was on me, I asked for light sauce because other poke places tend to go overboard. They are VERY generous with their scoops. I also love that they have tuna and avocado as a protein option, so avocado lovers like me don't have to pay extra!

cute cat doesn't come with the poke bowl unfortunately

I've been coming to this poke spot for a while now, and it's one of the fews that I enjoy in OC. While it's not traditional Hawaiian poke, the ingredients are always fresh and packed with flavor. I really appreciate their unique twist, incorporating Korean ingredients--it's a refreshing change when I'm craving something a little different. One thing that stands out to me is their spicy mayo; it has way more depth and flavor compared to other places, which I love! If you're unsure about sauce combos, I recommend mixing the house sauce with spicy mayo or going for ponzu + spicy mayo if you want a citrusy kick. Definitely ask for light sauce since they can be a little heavy handed, and ask for some on the side to add if it isn't enough! Price-wise, I think it's fair. I overheard a customer complaining about the cost and inconsistency, but honestly, poke isn't cheap anywhere, and their pricing has been pretty standard given the economy. The environment is always clean, and they're well-stocked with utensils and other essentials. But I also want to shout out the employees after seeing a little incident tonight -- I've always had great service here, and I just want to say you guys are doing a great job. Don't let entitled customers get to you -- pricing isn't in your control, and some people just need to learn how to read. All in all, solid poke spot with fresh ingredients, great flavors, and good service. Definitely worth a visit :)

One of the Best Hawaiian BBQ Spots I've Tried!…read more A friend finally brought me to his favorite Hawaiian BBQ spot (I guess he decided to stop gatekeeping ), and I'm so glad he did! I ordered the 2-Piece Boneless Chicken Plate with the spicy garlic sauce, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The chicken was incredibly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The seasoning paired perfectly with the spicy garlic sauce, making every bite delicious. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the creamy mac salad had a nice peppery kick that complemented the meal really well. My only minor complaint was that the chicken was just a tad salty, but it wasn't enough to take away from the overall experience. The two women working the register were friendly, welcoming, and professional, greeting everyone with big smiles. The dining area inside was spotless, there was plenty of indoor seating, and parking was easy with lots of available spaces it was very clean! If you're looking for flavorful Hawaiian BBQ with crispy, juicy chicken and excellent customer service, this place is definitely worth a visit. I'd happily come back again. 9/10!

Kinda pricey but I was stoked to try something that was recommended heavily. However, it took 50 minutes for my food to come out. I watched 6 customers that ordered after me get their food. Ridiculous. When I got the food, they gave me a free spam musubi as an extra for the long wait time. The CPC was really good I think that lived up to the hype. I felt a bit snubbed that it only came with one thigh. I wish it came with two. I was not a big fan of the kalbi. I feel that they put way too much sugar in the marinade. It felt like biting into candy. Garlic butter shrimp was decent. I'm bummed this had to be my first experience. I really wanted to like this place. If I were to come back, I would probably only get the CPC.

There's a parking lot next door, which alleviated stress over parking around a beach. My friends and I shared the ahi poke, salmon poke, and ceviche. Each of the orders came with chips. The restaurant is located in a center with a large parking lot, so finding a spot was easy. Inside, there were a few tables for dining in, and the music gave the space a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was friendly and had everything ready to go. I built a poke bowl with white rice, salmon, spicy crab, sweet corn, cucumber, edamame, and mandarin oranges. The salmon was good, though it didn't particularly stand out. The spicy crab added a nice kick, and the sweet corn brought a satisfying crunch. The cucumber and edamame tasted fresh, and brought everything together well. The sauce had a bright, citrusy flavor that added some zest without overpowering the bowl or making it too spicy. One ingredient I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I did was the mandarin oranges. They added just the right amount of sweetness and helped balance the savory flavors throughout the bowl. Overall, it's a solid poke spot with fresh ingredients, quick service, and easy parking. Nothing was over-the-top, but everything was prepared well, and I'd happily stop by again when I'm in the area.

The reason I'm leaving this review, though, is because of the staff. I came by this afternoon after waiting in a long line, and the service was just terrible. As soon as I started ordering, the woman scooping our poke looked me and my friends up and down and made a disgusted face. We had already waited over 20 minutes for our food, so being judged that openly was really disappointing. She barely acknowledged us while taking our order, didn't confirm anything, and even scooped some fish only to scrape half of it back off. It just felt rude and unwelcoming. The food is delicious, and I understand why the wait is always so long, but the judgmental attitude from the staff really ruined the experience. I don't feel comfortable coming back with my female friends because we felt judged, and the service reflected that. I really encourage management to work on improving the customer service because the food deserves better.
