I liked the place in the past but tonight I ordered a three scoop bowl. It was ice cold and could cause food borne illness if you look up rice and food poisoning you would see that info. It was poorly put together and barely 2 scoops for a three scoop bowl. Avocado was very whipped and miso soup watered down, lack flavor. I love Ahipoki! I normally go to another location but this location stood out to me. The staff who served for me was really nice-thank you for letting me try the Thai Tea! I've always been a big fan of Ahipoki since they open their location on Ray road off the 10 freeway. I am absolutely ecstatic after another location was opened up near my house the last 2 years. There's a shortage of sushi restaurants in Queen Creek. Lacking other options, I ordered the 3 scoop bowl with ahi tuna, salmon, and 'blazing' salmon, white rice, organic greens, crispy onions, etc. Nothing really spectacular about the food but the fish and greens were fresh, and the eel sauce was pretty good. It's really hard to go wrong with poke. The restaurant wasn't overly busy when I got there around 12:15pm, so it could be an easy work meeting spot for healthy food. Two scoops of protein for $10 or 3 scoops for $12. They do charge extra for avocado. I went for the tuna luau, which had a nice soy based flavor with onion and regular salmon as my protein. I topped with edamame, scoop of crab, seaweed salad and furikake with their house dressing- which is also soy sauce based with ginger and wasabi flavoring. They have macaron ice cream $4 if you've got a sweet tooth. Glad to see Queen Creek is taking on the poke revolution! read more

Visited this place today and I have to say... I ma not going back. Two Bowls for $30 dollars? This is insane. The food was OK at best, definitely not worth the $15 per bowl. I mean, all I asked for was rice, avo, crab, and cucumber. How does this add up to that? So from now on, I will drive my happy self 15mins to visit Poke Hale in Gilbert. That place is the real deal. So disappointed... i've been to so many poke places and i can tell this was the worst place i've ever been to. Their scoops are ridiculously small, like sooo small. I usually go with three proteins and their three scoops were barley equal to one normal scoop. This is my first time eating here and I would it's alright. The prices are decent and you can get a good amount of food. This photo is taken of the regular size bowl. I got brown rice with spicy tuna, kimchi shrimp, avocado, onions with sweet citrus sauce, edamame and seaweed. The sauce was a nice blend with the spiciness of the meat (in case anyone was wondering). I did get a black tea passion fruit, but it only tasted like black tea, where's the passion? I spent too much money on horrible poke. The salmon was not fresh but mushy and not even cut well. There were pieces with skin even. There was way too much rice in the bowl that wasn't even cooked correctly. I've had really great poke before and this came nowhere near. I will never try this place again. read more

The flavor was lacking, the hot sauce ingredients seemed like they were mixed poorly and the girls there were pretty distracted by friends there and not very attentive which probably impacted the quality. If I could give you zero stars I would. I went into this location last night to pick up a to go order. One of the employees was helping a customer. So I waited patiently until he was done. While he was finishing another women came in. BTW no one greeted me when I came in. Another man came from the back looked at me and walked towards the women who came in after me. Again didn't ask if I needed help. So I am waiting still and another women comes in and the first guy finishes up with his customer then starts to help her. Well, that was different! It's a sushi thing in a bowl. The guy helped my husband and I through the steps. I preferably like cooked fish, not raw. So I only had four options, shrimp, hot shrimp, scallops, octopus. Then you can choose from rice, brown rice, or half and half. Then options of sauce, and then toppings. I enjoyed my experience and really enjoyed my regular bowl. It was very filling. All in all, it was a fun date night. We even tried the Thia Tea, very different. We needed up with regular green tea. This location is just not good compared to the San Tan location. I had a terrible first experience. Very small potions, the dude that helped me was not friendly at all, and was suuuper stingy with every scoop. I assumed maybe this was just a once off bad time and I tried to give it another shot. This time around was just okay with portions, but I got home and the white rice(which was most of the bowl) was completely inedible. Rock hard and completely ruined the whole bowl. Typically Ahipoki is very good. I work not far from here so I eat here a couple times a month. Today when I went in I got a 2 scoop salmon and tuna bowl for my dinner and had 2 unagi musubi for luch. I ordered delivery via Doordash despite knowing that this location has had many problems in the past both with taste, quality, customer service, and safety (not sure I believe that safety rating is deserved on this yelp page). Store possibly included sesame when I said not to include it. I can taste the oily texture of the sesame in the "house spicy without sesame" I ordered and was sure to be clear about my sesame allergy. I have tried to call the store over and over for the last hour, but they will not answer the phone. I confirmed the correct phone number both on here and the restaurant website. I feel that I'm getting sick from a moderate allergic reaction. This is not acceptable. Someone I know died from something like this happening with his peanut allergy and a restaurant. People should be permanently banned from the food service industry if they make mistakes like this. It's negligent bodily injury and can lead to death. The rude girl and what appeared to be the manager on the night of December 21 were not being clean what so ever. With the same gloves the girl handled food, the register, debit cards, and cash and did not change them in between customers. I asked for a refund because I didn't feel safe eating food not being handled clean especially during COVID. The manager was cutting meat, without taking his gloves off came over and refunded me the money. Even after the fact that I pointed out that they weren't changing there gloves they went right back to what they were doing. Horrible customer service by the way. read more

First time I ordered takeout was fantastic, second time was okay, third time was terrible. They use Postmates to do the ordering and you get a text saying to stay in your car and they will bring your order out. I called when I got there (with a baby in the backseat I was thrilled to have the order brought out). I was told they do not bring it out (it was done and paid for already) and I even said I had a baby in the car could they bring it out? Nope. Had to go in with baby in tow to pick up my order with did take 2 seconds (getting in and out of the car seat, masking up and going in took 20 times longer than it would have been for someone to run out like it said would happen). Then after getting home, I find my yellowtail which is an up charge was replaced with tuna which I am ALLERGIC to! Called to speak to a manager and was told they were out of yellowtail so they substituted, no refund on the upcharge and no asking if that was ok when I picked it up). What a waste of $16 for one bowl. No customer service and no consistency in the food, it's different portions every time. Bummed because I finally found a poke place nearby, I will drive further to a place that treats their customers better. read more

I usually don't mind paying close to $13 dollars for one bowl. I always use my 3rd scoop of meat for the crab salad so when I ask for certain toppings like crunchy onions or eel sauce it really irritates me that the guy today acted like he could even put enough to even be able to taste it. No joke the eel sauce was almost non existent as well as the crunchy onions. I actually thought he forgot to put it until I saw a small drizzle over one of my tuna pieces and literally 4 flakes on onion. Which for me is what I like the most. Which put it the dish is bland. The total for my wife and I was $28.74... that was a large and a small with two fountain drinks. The girl serving us seemed to be in a bad mood or just snobby... Not sure which. Went in for lunch. The place had just opened and it was absolutely filthy. I immediately thought I should just turn around and leave. The food (toppings) were not fresh. The ginger was brown! I got some black tea mixed w passion fruit tea and my food was to go. I was driving down the road, took a sip of tea and it tasted terrible. When I got home I emptied the tea in the sink and there was pink slime in the bottom of it. After paying $17 dollars for this meal I had to throw it out. Food poisoning is NOT worth 17 dollars. I tried calling the restaurant to tell them to throw the tea out before someone gets really sick but they don't answer and I've tried calling 3 times. This was my first visit to Ahipoki Bowl, but it will not be my last. The gentleman who assisted my wife, and I, was excellent. He was very helpful, and answered every question we had with a smile. I really appreciated his assurance that we would love our entrees, and boy was he right. We will be adding this restaurant to our weekly rotation list.
