From the ambiance and its authentic bakery style set up to the smiles I was greeted with upon entering the busy spot, I was really pleasantly surprised! I had heard a lot of good stuff about their food but didn't quite expect it to hit as it did. Let's start with the pastries...which I didn't come for...well let's just say I ate my calorie intake for the month, ordering a crossaint, a vanilla custard tart and a bread pudding!!! Food comma anyone? But it was so worth it and I would highly recommend visiting this spot on your cheat day! For lunch I had the Capresse sandwich which was fresh and very tasty! I suspect everything on the menu might garner the same feedback, my splurge ended there....all washed down with some ice cold water, conveniently provided at their self service station. Such a lovely spot! Loving seeing these local businesses pop up in the area especially for people who don't like to drive too far off the island. I've wanted to try this place for a while I heard that the breakfast sandwiches are really good & as a NYer I'm tough on sandwiches. Unfortunately, I arrived at 11:17 & breakfast ended at 11 so instead I got the turkey club with a side Cobb salad. I paid around $30 which I felt was a bit pricy for a sandwich & half salad BUT the sandwich was delicious so I understand the price lol. They have specials that change daily, plus the everyday menu that's posted after you enter. This place is over the counter service. Breakfast is all day on weekends. I had their breakfast sandwich special, which that day consisted of bacon, egg, arugula, and aioli on a sourdough bun. Excellent. All the flavours meshed together very well. Another one of the specials had smoked salmon sandwich bites under a poached egg, which my mom had. This was also very good, but I deducted a star because one of the poached eggs was overcooked. I wish I could give this place 10 s we ate here last week and I'm still thinking of the sandwich I had! I ordered the turkey and Brie with cranberry aoli it was seriously the most amazing sandwich I've ever had. Even my husband regretted not ordering it. He had the roast beef which was delicious but definitely mines was a huge hit between the both of us. We share the jalapeno biscuit which was really good, wish it was warm I'm sure it would've been even better. The candied bacon... O M G! that bacon was seriously spectacular! I am not a sandwich person however this place did not disappoint. We went for a late breakfast and we tried a few things and everything was delicious. Including the lattes. Yes, please! This is the place to come if you're looking for an outstanding sandwich on freshly made bread with delicious sides and a busy atmosphere. The place was packed on a Saturday afternoon but the staff were quick to acknowledge us and take our order. We were able to find a table and our sandwiches came out shortly afterwards. I ordered the Turkey Avocado Club which was layered with crunchy bacon, lettuce, tomato, garlic aioli and served between two toasted slices of sourdough bread. Every bite was crunchy and soft and oozing with aioli sauce. I ordered the black bean, orzo salad for my side and this little salad packed so much flavor. Simple, yet flavorful. We also ordered 4 slices of the candied bacon and it was much better than I expected. These were thick slices of crunchy bacon that were perfectly covered with sweetness. It's crazy how much I love the food here. The people and atmosphere is always upbeat and positive, but the food has captured my heart. I had the hot roast beef with caramelized onions upon the recommendation of a good friend. It was very delicious. The people next to me had a biscuit sandwich which looked amazing. The next time I go, I definitely want to try their biscuits. I took home a turkey club on ciabatta which I ate for dinner. It kept well and tasted delicious. I got a few cookies which slightly remind me of my Grandma's recipe. I was also delighted to see they had take home food. I took home some ribs and Mac and Cheese. We'd been here quite a long time ago -- before I was a yelp elite and doing reviews. I had cousins who lived nearby and went often and told us about it. Some friends recently went and reminded us of our much they liked it. We figured that after not being here about 10 years, that it was way more than enough of a time for us to return. We came for lunch. The place was packed as usual. There was a long line at the counter to order and pay. And you're given a table number for them to deliver your food to you. Considering how busy they were, the food came fairly fast. The counter folks and the servers were all very pleasant to deal with. It made for a welcoming experience even though it was noisy and crowded. They have a lot of creative options from which to choose and they had a sign with some daily specials, too. We both chose to order sandwiches -- which come with your choice of a side. My husband got a tuna salad sandwich on sour dough bread. It also had lettuce, tomato, and cucumber on it. It was a huge sandwich, but he liked it so much he forced himself (ha ha) to eat both halves. He said it tasted very fresh. We'd both ordered the potato salad as our side. It looks like mashed potatoes as it was soft, but it was quite good. I got a turkey and brie sandwich with cranberry sauce. I opted not to have the arugula which normally comes on it as well. The brie was warm and melted and the cranberry made it slightly sweet. I liked the combo of the flavors. The bread was a walnut one with lots of character. It was good and crunchy, but I think next time I'd try their ciabatta. The two halves came as two separate small sandwiches, so I ate one and took the other one home. To drink, we shared a blood orange lemonade. It was good. And thankfully not sticky sweet. I just wished it had a bit more blood orange flavor. It was nice that they offered free refills on the lemonade. They also offer pastries and other breads to purchase among other items. One of the kids at the next table was thoroughly enjoying his candied bacon while his mom was dining on her avocado toast topped with an egg. You order at the counter they give you a number and then they bring you the food to the table We had the quiche which was delicious. I came here at two separate occasions to try and give this place a fair chance. In conclusion I unfortunately did not understand the hype here. Long lines, busy, bland food. My first visit was on a Friday around 2pm, and they were very busy in terms of seat in availability. The case at this hour was pretty much wiped of all baked goods. I ended up just getting a coffee and a muffin. The coffee was average, the muffin was average. The service wasn't great, I asked a question which went ignored and they forgot my muffin. My second visit was today at 10:30am, and it was even busier. The line was out the door, but it moved relatively quickly. Seat in would be impossible so again I got different baked goods to go. This is a better time to come as the case was pretty full. I got two croissants, orange cardamom and earl grey. At almost $7 each, I expected them to have filling but they didn't. The only flavor, which was weak - was provided by the icing on top. They packed them together so when I got around to eating I couldn't even tell which flavor was which. And the icing just crumbled off as you eat so you're left with no flavor basically. The actual croissant was okay, but I can get an okay croissant at most places. I got a rosemary focaccia, that also was very bland - could not find a hint of rosemary flavor anywhere. And while I did want to dine in this time, I really didn't want to wait however long to secure a seat. I think considering how busy it is, they would benefit from giving tables a max time limit that way others can seat in and enjoy their food. read more

We ordered a couple pastries, a couple quiche and fruit breakfast entrees, and a couple coffees. The coffees took a long time to come out - like arriving after the food was brought to the table. For me, the vanilla bean latte was very sweet and not that large considering its $6 price tag. The quiche was solid in terms of taste and portion size, but hadn't been adequately warmed through. The pastries were delicious and I'd certainly recommend trying something when you visit. The bread looked appealing and I plan to buy some to-go next time. They've got free parking in the plaza lot. In terms of seating, they have a fair amount of indoor table seating and a handful of tables outside too.
