    Miso spicy ramen
    Tiffany P.

Haven't had ramen is so long and thought of trying this place out! We were seated quickly and the waitress was nice. They have a lot on their menu thats not just ramen. They even offer omakase! I ordered the miso ramen and my friend ordered the Aji ramen. Both were very good. I really liked my broth and the toppings. My friends was also very good. His broth was more light and not as salt but the miso was more flavorful. It wasn't too busy when we went but I bet it gets busy for dinner time. This place is a must try!

Hand roll, be sure to ask for no mayo

Enjoyed a quick dinner at Aji Ramen tonight with my mans. We're seated quickly at 5:30pm on a Friday, they had. A short line as we left. Water and food came out quickly. My man ordered a hand roll and was bummed it wasn't wrapped up and came with lots of spicy mayo that wasn't mentioned on the menu. Onto the good stuff! The ramen was pretty dang good. I got the black garlic (with an extra egg instead of pork) and my man got the curry ramen. Both had great flavor, lots of toppings and a good potion side. I saw two people order the melon soda, so I'll have to try that next time!

    Signature Aji Ramen

So so thrilled to see a ramen restaurant in the NE Heights neighborhood. Aji took over the space that once was Budai. They did a nice job renovating the space with ample seating both at the tables and sushi bar. We were greeted and seated immediately. We had enough time to review their menu before ordering. We got the black garlic tonkotsu ramen and signature Aji ramen which was seafood based broth. I was impressed with how flavorful the broth was. I was a little disappointed in the chashu, with it being smaller pieces and a bit dry than what I'm used to. Portions were decent for the price! Black garlic was $15 and Signature Aji was $20. Considering it was their first day, I see a lot of potential in Aji and would definitely come back to try the rest of their menu!

From front to back Firehead Roll, Cowboy Roll, and Lion King Roll

Based on looks and aesthetics, I was impressed with the quality of furniture. Chairs and tables were solid and had a modern sleek design. Menus were not lamented but rather a great matte quality. Service was great, they were polite and speed wise were fast as heck. Bathroom was super clean and even had a baby changing table which is plus for those with families. Ordered a Tonkatsu Ramen. Noodles were soft, slightly chewy, and cooked just right. Broth was light while very flavorful resonating with that beef flavor. We ordered the Cowboy roll, firehead roll and the lion king roll. All three were flavorful, had some heat from the jalapeños, and the different fish definitely made each but unique. Great quality rice and each one definitely had each ingredient that was stated on the menu. Definitely worth the visit and plan on coming back.

    Tonkatsu Ramen

This was tasty, but a little underwhelming... The Tonkatsu Ramen lacked flavor and as others have mentioned, the termperature was not piping hot. I was okay with that, but if you don't eat quickly, your soup will go cold. The pork was very well-cooked, not dry or tough like other places, and I would be willing to go back and try the version with black garlic cause that would probably add the flavor I was missing. I don't typically eat bamboo shoots, but the ones in the ramen were marinated and delicious! I also prefer chewier noodles. The Tempura Roll was flavorful and better than most in ABQ, but it was cut so wide and thin that it fell apart when we picked the pieces up with chopsticks. I with they would cut them smaller and thicker so you could get all the ingredients in one bite. The knife cuts were excellent though, and like I said, very tasty. My husband didn't love his Yakisoba because it had some curry-type seasoning, which isn't his thing, and a bunch of caramelised onions. I thought it tasted okay, not like yakisoba I'm used to, but tasty. He did say that it was the best cooked chicken he's ever had in a dish like that. The Gyoza had amazing texture and mouth feel, but the filling was a little bland. We'll be back, but it didn't knock us out of the park. I think some small tweaks would make this place dynamite.

Not the best Ramen I've had but I've been to Tokyo. Extremely good I had the Salmon sashimi very fresh nice thick cuts. The gyoza was fine and the black garlic Ramen was really good the pork was succulent. Overall I would recommend this place.

Teriyaki steak and Aji Roman noodle

Aji Ramen is a new Japanese restaurant located near Sprouts on Osuna, and it's definitely worth checking out. They offer a great variety of menu options. We tried the sushi, and it was fresh and high quality. The ramen and teriyaki steak looked amazing at other tables, so we're excited to try those next time. The service was excellent--very attentive and friendly, even though the restaurant was busy. We'll definitely be back!

The food was Very yummy. The rolls were delicious, the fish tasted fresh . I was craving a good roll. Definitely satisfied my craving for sushi! The ramen was good it was a sea food ramen, we added a pork chasu to it . Ramen's broth was good we ended up adding chili oil to it which did help enhance the broths flavor but which wasn't spicy at all. Our Service was good, our waitress was attentive, made sure our drinks were refilled & when our rolls came out she made sure they were how we wanted them. Deserts were good , cheesecake was yummy. My favorite was the yuzu! I believe it's a lemon ? Or citrus type .We Would definitely be coming back !

The service was impeccable from the start, but the highlight was truly the charming interaction with the chef. He was kind enough to personally walk me through the evening's selections, and we had the most delightful chat! I decided on one of my absolute weaknesses: the Fresh Pork Dumplings. The chef was quite attentive and offered to add an onion paste, but after a brief explanation of my preferences, he was more than happy to prepare them exactly to my liking. It's that level of bespoke attention that I truly adore. The dumplings arrived steaming hot in just a matter of minutes absolutely bursting with authentic, clean flavors. For me, it tasted just right because this is the flavors I grew up with. The dumpling dough had a nice texture that I prefer. My Ramen had a big fatty pieces of pork which is what I like. They didnt skimp. It was a good bowl of noodle soup. Wouldn't say its the best ramen I ever had, but it was good. Beef roll was good, I would say its one of the better ones I've seen in ABQ where its really filled with beef. Would recommend this. We also got soup dumplings and I will say that we didnt get the proper spoons for them. At first I thought they just didnt offer them, but looking at photos, we never got them. It makes a difference for your eating experience and enjoyment. We will definitely be back as this is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area and you really get some real Chinese variety and not your basic generic stereotypical menu.

It was so good last year that we actually had a conversation with the owner about them being from San Francisco, after I told him it was the best Chinese food I've had in America outside of San Francisco. Well, that has changed significantly, and not for the better. We made a trip down from Santa Fe this week, specifically to eat at Noodle Works. Yes, we drove over an hour each way on Monday just to eat here. What a mistake! It was clear the General Tzo chicken was microwaved and not fresh fried. It was absolutely inedible! Mall food court Chinese is better than this dish was. Strange because almost exactly 1 year ago their General Tzo's dish was among them best I've ever tasted. I know this dish is not authentic, but to serve pre-fried then microwaved chicken is inexcusable! The Singapore Noodle dish this time was incredibly dry. The curry was more like a dry rub stuck to the noodles than it was a real curry sauce. Again... mall food court quality. Another dish that used to be amazing here. The crab in the crab rangoon was so fishy you could smell it before it was even delivered to the table. It had clearly sat out unrefridgerated during prep for far too long. It was inedible, or of fear of getting food poisoning... they did take it off of our bill. We are so disappointed in how bad the quality has fallen off in the last year! We loved them so much in the past that we will give them one more try, but we will not be making a special trip down from Santa Fe to eat here again. We REALLY hope they get their act together because we really like the employees and owner and want to continue to support them. Management did apologize without being prompted for the slow service and poor quality food, so hopefully they know serious improvement is needed if they are to stay in business. We wish them the best because they are great people. Good luck!
