I stopped by here for dinner with a friend and it was super yummy! We were seated right away but our server wasn't consistent in checking in on us. They weren't super busy but we did go a couple of months into them being open. We ordered an appetizer to share and each our own ramen which were packed with flavor and portion was great! I've ordered Togo from here a couple of times and all have been great.

Custom roll: California roll with salmon on top, spicy mayo and thinly sliced lemon on top was incredible!

My wife regularly comes to Aji Ramen and suggested we come in for a light appetizer before dinner last Friday. We ordered some unfiltered sake and her favorite custom sushi roll, which is a California roll with salmon on top, spicy mayo and thinly sliced lemon. Paired with their Japanese sauce and soy sauce it was amazing. Seriously might be my new favorite sushi roll and I can't wait to go back again and try more. Aji has very reasonable food and drink prices and friendly service.

Haven't had ramen is so long and thought of trying this place out! We were seated quickly and the waitress was nice. They have a lot on their menu thats not just ramen. They even offer omakase! I ordered the miso ramen and my friend ordered the Aji ramen. Both were very good. I really liked my broth and the toppings. My friends was also very good. His broth was more light and not as salt but the miso was more flavorful. It wasn't too busy when we went but I bet it gets busy for dinner time. This place is a must try!

Enjoyed a quick dinner at Aji Ramen tonight with my mans. We're seated quickly at 5:30pm on a Friday, they had. A short line as we left. Water and food came out quickly. My man ordered a hand roll and was bummed it wasn't wrapped up and came with lots of spicy mayo that wasn't mentioned on the menu. Onto the good stuff! The ramen was pretty dang good. I got the black garlic (with an extra egg instead of pork) and my man got the curry ramen. Both had great flavor, lots of toppings and a good potion side. I saw two people order the melon soda, so I'll have to try that next time!

So so thrilled to see a ramen restaurant in the NE Heights neighborhood. Aji took over the space that once was Budai. They did a nice job renovating the space with ample seating both at the tables and sushi bar. We were greeted and seated immediately. We had enough time to review their menu before ordering. We got the black garlic tonkotsu ramen and signature Aji ramen which was seafood based broth. I was impressed with how flavorful the broth was. I was a little disappointed in the chashu, with it being smaller pieces and a bit dry than what I'm used to. Portions were decent for the price! Black garlic was $15 and Signature Aji was $20. Considering it was their first day, I see a lot of potential in Aji and would definitely come back to try the rest of their menu!

Lovely relaxing ambiance! Open space with large screen TV at the Sushi Bar. We came for Ramen and the vegetable broth is very flavorful and yummie. Side tempura, very eye appealing arranged.

Based on looks and aesthetics, I was impressed with the quality of furniture. Chairs and tables were solid and had a modern sleek design. Menus were not lamented but rather a great matte quality. Service was great, they were polite and speed wise were fast as heck. Bathroom was super clean and even had a baby changing table which is plus for those with families. Ordered a Tonkatsu Ramen. Noodles were soft, slightly chewy, and cooked just right. Broth was light while very flavorful resonating with that beef flavor. We ordered the Cowboy roll, firehead roll and the lion king roll. All three were flavorful, had some heat from the jalapeños, and the different fish definitely made each but unique. Great quality rice and each one definitely had each ingredient that was stated on the menu. Definitely worth the visit and plan on coming back.

This was tasty, but a little underwhelming... The Tonkatsu Ramen lacked flavor and as others have mentioned, the termperature was not piping hot. I was okay with that, but if you don't eat quickly, your soup will go cold. The pork was very well-cooked, not dry or tough like other places, and I would be willing to go back and try the version with black garlic cause that would probably add the flavor I was missing. I don't typically eat bamboo shoots, but the ones in the ramen were marinated and delicious! I also prefer chewier noodles. The Tempura Roll was flavorful and better than most in ABQ, but it was cut so wide and thin that it fell apart when we picked the pieces up with chopsticks. I with they would cut them smaller and thicker so you could get all the ingredients in one bite. The knife cuts were excellent though, and like I said, very tasty. My husband didn't love his Yakisoba because it had some curry-type seasoning, which isn't his thing, and a bunch of caramelised onions. I thought it tasted okay, not like yakisoba I'm used to, but tasty. He did say that it was the best cooked chicken he's ever had in a dish like that. The Gyoza had amazing texture and mouth feel, but the filling was a little bland. We'll be back, but it didn't knock us out of the park. I think some small tweaks would make this place dynamite.

Not the best Ramen I've had but I've been to Tokyo. Extremely good I had the Salmon sashimi very fresh nice thick cuts. The gyoza was fine and the black garlic Ramen was really good the pork was succulent. Overall I would recommend this place.

New Raman shop in town! Came during lunch time and they were busy. Maybe because it's new, but we got seated fairly quickly. Service was pretty good. We ordered the takoyaki and it was delicious! The katsu was decent because the portion was tiny and it comes with miso soup. The curry was little as well. I probably would not get it again. Rolls were yummy though! The lion roll had shredded pork on top and the shrimp tempura on the inside was huge! The Philadelphia Roll was packed with a good amount of salmon. It was perfect. Not too much rice. The Aji Raman was good. It would've been better if the protein was nice and hot as well as the soup. The flavoring was flavorful. Portion was good, but the protein it was kind of cold. Almost as if it was of course pre-cooked already, but they should still head it was. Broth was good, but needed to be heated up more. Overall, I would come back to try other items on their menu.

Their eel is super tasty and has the perfect texture. I had only had their salmon on fire from takeout- but having it in restaurant is quite the experience. It is not the biggest restaurant, and is popular, so I would recommend being prepared to wait during "popular busy time" but it is so worth the wait. So I also recommend waiting. The staff is always pretty friendly and accommodating. I shared an app, a roll and an order of salmon sashimi with a friend on both visits. The food is always fresh, and delicious! I never feel like I am being overcharged for what I get either. Going to eat for sushi can feel like that sometimes. The quality of the food is great and everything is always aesthetically pleasing as well. I had their avocado bomb on my last visit and I was delightfully surprised with it. I like avocado in most cases, but sometimes, it can be a lot at one. I thought this was going to be like that when I saw it, but I was wrong. I look forward to getting one of these on my next visit! On my last visit my friend and I saved room for a dessert, one that we saw rotating on their screens that they have in the restaurant showcasing some of the menu items. It was a take on a bananas foster. It looked delicious but alas, we'll see if we can manage to get it next time. Note to self, have dessert first on next visit?

It was so good last year that we actually had a conversation with the owner about them being from San Francisco, after I told him it was the best Chinese food I've had in America outside of San Francisco. Well, that has changed significantly, and not for the better. We made a trip down from Santa Fe this week, specifically to eat at Noodle Works. Yes, we drove over an hour each way on Monday just to eat here. What a mistake! It was clear the General Tzo chicken was microwaved and not fresh fried. It was absolutely inedible! Mall food court Chinese is better than this dish was. Strange because almost exactly 1 year ago their General Tzo's dish was among them best I've ever tasted. I know this dish is not authentic, but to serve pre-fried then microwaved chicken is inexcusable! The Singapore Noodle dish this time was incredibly dry. The curry was more like a dry rub stuck to the noodles than it was a real curry sauce. Again... mall food court quality. Another dish that used to be amazing here. The crab in the crab rangoon was so fishy you could smell it before it was even delivered to the table. It had clearly sat out unrefridgerated during prep for far too long. It was inedible, or of fear of getting food poisoning... they did take it off of our bill. We are so disappointed in how bad the quality has fallen off in the last year! We loved them so much in the past that we will give them one more try, but we will not be making a special trip down from Santa Fe to eat here again. We REALLY hope they get their act together because we really like the employees and owner and want to continue to support them. Management did apologize without being prompted for the slow service and poor quality food, so hopefully they know serious improvement is needed if they are to stay in business. We wish them the best because they are great people. Good luck!
