This is my favorite neighborhood pizzeria, even if I cant call with my work phone (blocked number). Usually walk over to pick it up. Generally get plain Sicilian and provide my own toppings: broccoli, mushrooms, etc. Douse it with garlic and red pepper, and its good to go. The pizza tastes even better after reheating in the oven! A Sicilian pie will run about 12.50$ if using the 2$ dollar off large pie coupon. These coupons flood your mailbox if you live in the area as they seam to advertise in no less than 4 publications. Further, keep those coupons from the pizza boxes! For every 12 pies your purchase, the unlucky 13th is free :) If you dont like delivery and prefer a sit-down meal, they do have a very nice dining room which has waiter service. It is also BYOB so bring your favorite growlers - perhaps next door from High Point (aka Rammstein) Brewing? read more

The mussels here have usually been good, there was a time when they were unbeatable but when we let the know they were kind enough to put a credit for them and did tell us their regular supplier shorted them so they tried somewhere else..not a good call. They make a good pie and is the only place my sisters order from for their pizza. The tip I would give you is to have it delivered...the parking is horrendous and there is no place to wait inside due to the traffic of the delivery personnel running in and out to get the orders out. Usually we're pretty pleased with the food here, but if they're busy our pizza is often over baked. The dining area is small with just a few tables and isn't usually crowded, which we really like. Tonight I called to place an order for delivery. After nearly 10 minutes on hold I gave up and ordered from its number one competition. The whole transaction was complete in less than 3 minutes. I live up the street from this pizzaria. I actually used another pizza place in town until it changed hands, then I tried Aj's. I like them. I should have used them for years, but whatever. AJ's is my go-to place for delivery as 2/3 of the time the food arrives in about 45 minutes (the other 1/3 is during peak dinner-order time, so it's understandable to take a bit longer). The pizza is good and I've never been disappointed by the taste or size of their appetizers. Unfortunately I have to give them four stars because there seems to always be a problem when I order a grilled chicken wrap. When I order it using their online ordering service I have ZERO problems, but for some reason whenever I place a phone order, the wrap I order is not the wrap I receive. They're very accommodating in terms of customization, but I suggest you do it online to avoid being disappointed. read more

We moved back to NJ from 3 years in FL and we're very excited to have some good pizza. Well AJs had come to our complex for someone else so we figured let's try it. As I was not crazy impressed with their pizza it was not bad. Well every Thursday is our order out night and so it's usually between AJs or Chinese. AJs was usually always winning as didn't know what else was good around here. We liked to try new things. Well the last couple weeks it got more and more disappointing. I ordered fries with gravy and cheese as I've done at least 2 other times without incident but they were terrible. I figured it was a bad day. Another week order potato skins and they were burnt. Again gave them benefit of the doubt. At one point my husband went in to pick up which is not normal and the man was screaming at his employees. So loud and mean my husband was embarrassed. Well last night was my last straw. I call in my order a simple buffalo chicken salad with romaine, a sandwich, french fries, slices pizza and potato skins. Well first thr woman on the phone gave me 1 price which was not the price when the delivery got here. Then only HALF my order was there. So thr delivery guy says he would be quick. So now I have half my food. So comes back with other half and my salad does NOT have romaine. Ok I really don't ask for much as I do not think this was hard. But was definitely the end for me. Sorry AJs but too many mistakes in the short time I've been back especially since it was a weekly thing for us. We will be finding a new place. read more

Pizzas are fabulous - with so many different specialty pizzas- dinners are awesome too-one of my favorites is chicken rollentini - an awesome twist with mushrooms - yumm!! Ewwww, the pizza was down-right gross. There are so many pizza places around, that I wouldn't order twice from here. Thought I'd give it a try. Wow, it was bad. The crust was so dry, it tasted stale. The crust was rock hard. The sauce and cheese wasn't much better. I would have been better off with fake Dominos or Pizza Hut and my kids would have been thrilled. Staff is great taking orders on the phone or at location. It's a pizzeria and sometimes you don't expect the best professionalism, this pizzeria is on top of its game! The food is decent but picking up an order or making the initial order in person is a nightmare mainly because of the number of drivers waiting and picking up deliveries. Those drivers shove you aside and the staff doesn't bat an eye. A few lessons in courtesy for them would be really nice. read more

I ordered chicken tomesto which is delish! At least that is what I thought I ordered. I had it many times at my sisters. I guess I could have ordered chicken pisano...it was a hectic day. My husband picked it up, and it was the wrong dish. I called and they rushed it to my house in West Milford within an hour-no charge. The guys on the other end were so nice and the delivery guy was even nicer! They saved a tween party...they would have never eaten the chicken with peppers and onions. We order from AJ's all the time since we live in the area and don't really have great options out there that deliver. The pizza is ok not the best weve had but its decent, we always get buffalo chicken wraps from here (the best i ever had), the sandwiches are ok, my husband loves the philly cheese steak. they take a while to deliver bc they pretty much are busy all the time so expect your order to take at least 45 min! overall its pretty good for a local pizzeria read more

Decent pizza, the chicken parm sandwich is a big, stuffed sandwich and is pretty good. The sauce is good and the bread is really good too. The other sandwiches I've had from there weren't as good, kinda flimsy and skimpy. Their pizza is a safe bet, any of their meat topping choices do well. Pretty great take out. My top pics are the eggplant rollatini, eggplant rollatini pizza, the cheese calzone, and pizza with meatball topping. The black mussels are great. Nice sauce for dipping. Even the chicken fingers and fries are good. Fast service, nice delivery people, and accurate order takers. We order from here at least once a week. We are in an isolated area and we are lucky to have AJ's. read more

We phoned AJs Pizza in Butler at 11:00AM Saturday, October 29 and ordered 8 pizzas and 3 liters of soda for a 12:30 PM delivery 10 minutes away. AJs said "no problem". At 12:30, no pizza delivery! We phoned AJs to ask where the delivery was. AJs said the driver left "10 minutes ago". 12:45, no pizza delivery. We called AJs. AJs said "don't know where the driver is." We ask, how is that even possible????? Long story short... the delivery guy arrived at 1:10, 40 minutes late!!!!!! AJs had over 90 minutes to prep our $100. order and get it to us on schedule... but they couldn't pull it together. I will never place an order with them again, will never recommend them again, and will actively tell this story to whoever will listen! read more

Have been a customer at AJ's since it opened. Have collected coupons from their pie box which entitles you to a free pizza after you purchase 12. Ordered the free pie and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. Got there in 20 minutes and the pie was cold. We were probably given the pie that was sitting there. AJ's gives you your moneys worth. In this area, there are pizzerias on almost every corner so you have choices. If you want to be seen, go to anthony franco's & get overcharged for average pizza. In my opinion, AJ's give the most valve for very good pizza. Call ahead for pick-up & there is not a problem. I don't do delivery. (once in over 10years). Wings, Antipasto Salad,specialty Subs (Fat AJ"S are the bomb) and Calzone are all excellent. Its once a week or every other week for me especially during Football season when people get together. read more
