Delicious tacos! We love coming here and have been back several times now. My favorite thing on the menu is the pastor tacos, which are super flavorful and come with a good amount of meat. I also really like the quesabirria tacos; one order of these comes with 4 tacos. The horchata is super refreshing. For dessert, they have really good tres leches, which comes in a to-go container that's easy to take home if you get full! The service is quick and the food is well-priced.

We tried here after seeing the reviews. We ordered the shrimp and crab sushi, 2 barbacoa tacos and a cheek taco. The meat was super fatty which I am not a fan of. The shrimp was by far the best thing they have but it's only in the sushi which sucks. Would love to have gotten shrimp tacos. The sushi was different but overly sweet to me. The sweet tea was amazing. Would I go back? Probably not. Too many other places to try out.

Birria/Queso plate with Consomme $12.75, a Tinga taco, a Pastor taco ea. $2.50

I love Oak Cliff and since I lived, shopped and dined there for some time before the Bishop Arts explosion, I am always looking for some new neighborhood place. Al Chile Taqueria is that place. Moderate prices, comfortable interior, friendly people and delicious food! The menu has a few surprising twists, though. They have Birria/Queso with Consomme and Sinaloa Sushi! I tried the Birria plate today. Four very stout tacos with tasty tender meat and a hot flavorful Consomme. ($12.75) I managed to squeeze in the raw diced onion, cilantro, lime juice and Salsa Verde and spooned on some broth. Really good. Nicely fried tacos for which I would return. The shredded beef was a terrific texture. And that salsa was wonderfully spicy, I never did try the Red Chile salsa. I was on fire! I left two birria to go and tried my Tinga and Pastor tacos. ($2.50 ea.) Again, delicious! The tinga was a little smoky and the pastor was tender, not dry like it can be some places. There were two sweet pieces of pineapple with the pastor and plenty of toppings plus radish. I love radish! Nice slices, too. Yum. Now, I wasn't eating alone. No, the taco eating machine, my husband, was along with me and the crazy man ordered six tacos! Well, he failed the challenge. He, too, had Tinga and Pastor and then opted for the Cabeza. ($2.50 ea.) The Chile Toreados were also calling him and he ordered 2 of those ($1.00). As it turned out, he loved the Char on the peppers and chowed down hard except for one taco which went home. He gave everything an A. They were busy for mid-afternoon on a weekday. Chopping and frying and providing terrific service. We'll be back. I want to try the cooked sushi. They also have tostadas! I saw agua fresca and Mexican sodas. Dessert, even. There's a deck out front in the sunshine, handicapped access and parking at the curb.

This is one of the best taco experiences I have had in Dallas. Tacos were delicious and they were stuffed full.

Unfortunately, our last two visits have been highly disappointing, and I wanted to bring this to your attention. During our visit today, we noticed a significant drop in the quality of the ribeye steak. The meat was tough, chewy, and lacked flavor. Given how frequently we dine here, the change was highly noticeable. Have you recently changed your meat providers or specifications for this cut? Additionally, as someone who works within a restaurant group, I must express concern regarding your beverage pricing. The current rates for water and soda are exceptionally high--to the point where my team now opts out of purchasing drinks entirely. I strongly encourage you to consider adjusting these to a more reasonable rate, or at the very least, proactively offering complimentary iced tap water. We truly love your restaurant and want to continue supporting you. I share this feedback in the spirit of helping your kitchen maintain its excellent standards. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Chris L.

There are multiple locations in DFW, and this review is for the Chilangos in Dallas off of Ross. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - The two Chilangos locations I've been to are both located in strip malls with a bright, neon "Chilangos Tacos" sign above the entrance. Inside, there's reggaeton music, tons of patrons, and ESL here. Once you place your order, grab a Jarritos, a bright red metal seat, and watch the staff cook your tacos to order. 1 Star. Service - The staff are very friendly and efficient. It really helps if you speak Spanish, so go with someone who does, or point to the menu item you want. Once you place your order, grab a seat and wait for your name to be called. The staff is super nice and efficient, and our order was available in about 5 min. 1 Star. Food - Birria Quesatacos with consume. Memorize it and order it. Kudos to my son who swears by this dish. I am now a believer. The tender seasoned shredded birria beef is so flavorful. The quesataco style melts the cheese into the corn tortilla. And when you take some diced onion and cilantro to top it, dunk it in the consume before biting into the most flavorful taco served in DFW. According to the menu, this dish is only available on the weekend, but I've used food deliver services to get my consume fix during the week so YMMV. Bottom line, it's not just the best item on the menu, it's the best taco bite in all of DFW. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Chilango Tacos is expanding in DFW. There are now multiple locations in all of DFW so there should be a location near you. Chilangos Tacos is now in my weekly rotation. 1 Star.

The surrounding neighborhood, however, was a pleasant surprise. It's a trendy, energetic pocket of Dallas that I had somehow never explored before, and it immediately caught my attention. The restaurant itself is quite unassuming. If I'm being honest, it didn't exactly scream "come on in." On this particular night, there was only one employee working. It took nearly 10 minutes just to place my order and another 15 minutes before the food arrived. By that point, I was more than a little annoyed. Then the tacos showed up. Talk about a complete plot twist. Not only was everything beautifully presented, but the flavors were absolutely unbelievable. Whenever I visit a taco spot, I like to order a variety so I can get a sense of what they're really capable of. This time it was the al pastor, carne asada, and Baja tacos. One word....incredible. I can't tell you which one was best! I've had great tacos before. I've had places nail one or two selections. But I honestly can't remember the last time three completely different tacos all delivered a perfect punch in a single sitting. Every bite was packed with flavor, expertly balanced, and memorable in its own way. Without question, this was the best taco trio I've ever had. What a roller coaster of a visit. I went from feeling completely ignored and wondering if I'd made a mistake, to wanting to walk back into the kitchen and hug the chef. Sometimes great food doesn't just redeem an experience--it completely rewrites it. The Taco stand is GOATED

Order came with rice & beans, good flavor. Order this, and you won't go hungry. Cool downtown spot, open late, 10 minute walk from home. Plenty of seating inside and out. Only thing, and this doesn't go against the restaurant, but don't order delivery through their website if you can help it. Ordered through there, and it was assigned to Uber Eats. 6 drivers and 90 minutes later, my order was cancelled. I called the restaurant, and the staff was VERY helpful. Apparently, one driver stole my food, so every other driver was told there was no order to pick up. By ordering through the restaurant website, I couldn't dispute this with Uber Eats, since my account didn't reflect an order. However, the restaurant staff was VERY NICE in helping to issue a refund. I recommend the staff, not the delivery aspect. 2 hours later, and I wound up going to get a new order myself... even though I was feeling sick, which defeated the purpose of the delivery in the first place. Either way, I recommend the food, the staff, and the restaurant.. just not their hired delivery service.
