Service dept NOT recommended. Went to have a simple oil change. Had a appointment from their online appointment system. When I arrived the service rep told me that they did not have a mechanic to work on my car. Then he said - Oh, you made a online appointment and implied that it wasn't welcome. He said that it would be over 2 hours before I could get service for a simple oil change. When I said that I was going to wait for the car, he said "normal" people don't do that, they drop the car off. Then he said that I was getting attitude and refused to service me. I asked to speak with the service manager, he supposedly wasn't in. Left my information with another service rep and left. Its been 2 full days and nothing heard. Have been going there since 2011, and never been treated this rudely. read more

Bought a 2019 GMC Sierra 3500 Denali. Found undisclosed damage on the "certified pre-owned" truck a month after purchase. I set up an appointment to have the damage fixed. I did send them an email telling them that I will be getting it fixed but wanted to let them know that, either there's a glaring issue with their inspection process or (and more likely) they knew about the damage and sold is without disclosure. They made a 1/2 hearted attempt to make it right. They offered $975 on a $2700 bill. (Because they could get it fixed cheaper) (they're own words). cheaper fix? on a $70,000 truck? I had it fixed myself, fixed correctly by a reputable shop. I don't mind the bill. I didn't catch the damage until later, so I do expect to take responsibility for the fix. But that being said, I want to make sure everyone who reads this is aware of genuine lack of integrity at Alan Webb Chevrolet. Make your own judgment of the situation, but be aware of what has happened. read more

My experience at Alan Webb was not a positive one. I had reached out to them based on an internet search for a 2014 Volt, a car that could have been procured in my home state of Oregon for approximately the same price but without the benefit of Washington's Lemon Law. Initial communications were good enough and I did make some changes to how I wanted to finance the car so that produced a little bit of change in the deal. My sales rep, Mike Woods, while certainly knowledgeable about the car, on repeated occasions made promises he failed to keep and did not correctly disclose the full terms of my proposed financing. Knowing that had a car I wanted I drove the 100 miles on a Saturday to pick up the car with financing in place. Once at the dealership it became a circus of folks that acted as if they had never dealt with a free and clear trade. Money in a check back to me took over two weeks to receive. With multiple false statements being made by several individuals about the status if said check. Mike's sole concern was that I give him a good survey so he could get paid. But a sales rep is only as good as his support staff. I completed the Chevy customer satisfaction survey as I saw the process unfold Mr. Wood's sent me a text message to be to day that says: " I got your survey. It didn't really affect me at all. I suppose that's the reward I receive when all of my other customers are happy and grateful. You are my first bad survey all year. That speaks loudly about you. Especially since you lied on most of it. Is this a bad time to mention that next years Volt will achieve almost twice the electric mileage for less money?" obviously, they have no desire to stay in business. we're looking for a fun, splurge, second car. we're thinking about a corvette. we went and test drove a 10+ year-old, used one (at alan webb) and planned to compare that to a brand new one, to feel the difference. nope, they would NOT let us test drive the new vette, unless we were 'serious to buy today". Seriously? Found a used vehicle on their lot through Auto Trader for $7145. Called to make sure it was on the lot and drove 30min 1 way with my family to check it out. After checking it out and loving it, the salesdick pulled up the ad and it was now $9235! Got some BS about not setting their own prices. A computer tracks Internet hits and adjusts the price based on that. He couldn't wait for us to leave. Dunno who or what raised the price $2000 over night, after I'd spent 20min on the phone with them discussing the vehicle, but BS is BS and this place is BS. read more

He was very quick to get me an $700 plus tire quote but didn't bother to tell me that the reason the service was taking so long was because they where performing a recall on the car. read more

I made an appointment to get a front license plate mount installed on my car. I live in Portland, so I drove there for my 2 pm appointment. When I got there the front desk clerk looked (who like she was high on weed) said that the tech who was supposed to put the bracket on was busy. She asked if I could leave my car with them until 5 pm. I'm having trouble understanding why the tech couldn't have stopped what he was doing for 10 minutes to put on the bracket that I had an appointment to install. I am very upset. I would give one star. Saw a truck on kbb and when we went to see it in person no one came out to help us. When we went inside no one greeted us. When the guys at the desk finally asked if we wanted to see something this guy got the keys and took us out. Barely said anything to us. When we said "thank you for letting us test drive..." When I bought my vehicle about a year and a half ago, the buying process seemed clear and concise. I left feeling appreciated and like I got a good deal. Boy was I wrong! This dealership knowingly sold me a car with a non existent heating system that had serious issues. I had to fight for them to make it right, and a year later the $1200 fix to the heating system had failed and they assured me it was something else. This place is BAD. So I got to thinking I going to check my records sure enough ALAN WEBB once again has proven to be cheap, have bad customer service and they could give a heck about return business.. factory calls for 6 quarts not 5 like they have put in it since I bought it cheating customers.. it just pisses me off and they could care less I don't no who I talked to but thanks for hanging up on me.... Lying dealers, zero customer service after purchase. They completely misrepresented many things about the financing & warranty, pulled a bait & switch with the actual car, lied about the interest rates. After it was over tried to twist my arm into writing a 5 star review here + guilt tripped me into filing out a positive survey for the dealer with Chevrolet. Since then, simply getting basic things verified over the phone has been nearly impossible. I moved and needed the warranty verified for a part, they literally hung up the phone repeatedly apparently just because they were 'too busy'. Bottom line, they'll do or say anything to get you to buy, then wash their hands of you and ignore you once you leave the lot. Avoid them at all costs. read more

Bought lube for life, takes around 2 hours to get your oil changed . I even pre book appointments and it takes this long. It'd ridiculous! !!!! Poor customer service! i went to this dealership to look at a specific vehicle. sales gal seemed terrific, but they lied to me. I told them upfront, I had awful credit(due to economic downturn in 2008). I made it quite clear that I did not want my credit run a bunch of times. They said they'd do a "soft check first", "won't show up on your credit report...." Just checked my credit report and they put it through NINE different banks/lenders. NINE! give me a break. Had 30k cash to put down on 36k (because of tax and fees)vehicle. Oh and they offered me a whopping $1500 for my 2002 Z71 4x4 suburban(how generous) Nothing off the vehicle I was interested in-nothing. Ended up getting similar vehicle for cash elsewhere and less dollars from private seller. I will never go to this car dealership again and will certainly steer everyone I talk to away from this dealership.I should have known when manager would not look me in the eye that I should not have been there.... I bought a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 HD diesel truck from this dealership in November of 2012 and from day one they have been shady. When I purchased my truck I was persuaded to buy this truck with the offer of oil changes for the life of the vehicle through this dealership. I was told that I could bring my truck in anytime for an oil change. Now they tell me that I can only bring my truck in on Wednesdays. I can not believe that they change it after I bought my truck from bring it in anytime to only on Wednesdays. I believe that they are not being an honorable company and cheating consumers to benefit themselves. This is not a business I will ever do business with again. I brought my car in for service for a recall and my service agent Michael Bonney took great care of me. When my car wasn't ready he knew it was my only vehicle and got a rental car for me. The recall was repaired but three days later my car started giving me the same problems as it did prior to the service. I called Michael Bonney to let him know and immediately had me bring it in that same day. Chevy held it for a day to diagnose the problem and also provided me with a rental car. Unfortunately they weren't able to detect why it gave me the same problem but Michael Bonney said if it consistently happened again to call him and he'd have someone check it out again. After that day my car hasn't done much of the jerking that it did before bringing it into Chevy. My overall customer service experience with Michael Bonney was satisfied! read more

I found a vehicle at Alan Webb Chevorlet through an internet search. I did an online chat session with someone, I forget her name and was told that one of their sales staff would contact me shortly. Within an hour I was contacted by Gilbert. We talked about the car, its options, price, warranty etc . . . I visited the dealership two days later and did a test drive. This particular automobile was just as Gilbert described and I was satisfied. While I was preapproved by my own bank for financing, they offered to see if they could find a better rate. Indeed I was skeptical that they could, but sure enough they did (only by a small margin) but it did lower my monthly payment a little. My visit with the finance guy (Dave) was straightforward and painless. Just understand that when you're purchasing a used vehicle this will be the time they will offer an extended warranty. Don't be offended, that's their job and as a consumer you must carefully discern whether or not this will be the best thing for you (I didn't opt in for this). Do your research before showing up at a dealership. So -- All in all, this was a quick and easy process. I felt like I had Gilbert and Dave's full attention during the transaction. I would certainly be a repeat customer. I'm also happy with my purchase. read more

This was by far the easiest, quickest, and most hassle-free deal that I've ever done. I purchase a new car every two-years and this was the best experience. It was a pleasure working with both John and Niles. Communication with John was THE BEST! I was straightforward with what I wanted and he was able to accomodate me without trying to upsell me or change my mind. John was in constant communication with me answering all of my questions and guiding me through the process. I also appreciated that we could communicate via text and email since I was not always available over the phone. He was honest and upfront with me which I appreciated. By the time I got to the dealership, he had already prepared the paperwork and I knew coming in what deal I was getting, there was definitely no hidden costs or a bait and switch approach. Niles closed the deal and I was in and out in under 90 minutes! Financing was also a breeze and they didn't try to pressure me on any added services which is very much appreciated. read more

I just bought a 1993 Chevy C2500 Pick-Up (not from Alan Webb) and took it in to have them do a full inspection and service. One of the items I wanted checked was heavy smoking at start up, since this truck is a diesel (6.5 turbo-diesel) I figured it could possibly be something simple because it clears up when the truck get warmed up. They claimed the engine is just junk and offered to fix up the truck but it would be about $20,000. I did not fall for it. I feel the $137 I spent on the inspection (they didn't want to do the service) was a complete waste of my time and money. read more

After waiting for 2 hours to sign paperwork that was shoved in front of my and pulled away, all within 3 minutes, I left thinking all was done. 3 weeks, several phone calls, and 3 threats to repo the car, later I am in the finance managers office. They continually messed up on my paper work and then had the audacity to yell at me for 10 minutes because it "had been my fault". I live an hour away and drove here specifically to get the paper work correct for the THIRD time! JACOB the finance manager finally realized they had been doing it wrong the entire time. We recently bought our new Chevy Volt at Alan Webb. This, by far, was the best experience I've had at a dealership. Gilbert let us test drive the Volt with no pressure. We actually waited 3 more weeks to pull the trigger on the deal. When we were ready, Gilbert bent over backwards to make sure our experience was great. We were in and out in no time and financing was very easy. Later, when we got a little dust on the car, we noticed there was a small surface scratch on the hood. If you are in the market for a new Chevrolet do yourself a favor and go see Jamie in sales. My buying experience was super positive and Jamie made the process go seamlessly. She was very professional and she made me feel like a valued customer. I came in to buy a base model manual transmission bare bones Chevrolet Cruze and she not once made a suggestion or even hinted to me considering anything other than what I was interested in. No push and no trying to up sell me into a vehicle I wasn't interested in. She certainly understands her customers and values their time as much as her own. The paper signing process was a breeze as well. Again no push to purchase extended warranties or service plans. The facts and options were simply presented to me so that I knew I had options if I were interested. I also ordered some floor mats for my car from the parts department and that too was a pleasant experience. They didn't have the option that I wanted in stock so they ordered them and told me when they would be in. They called me on the day that they said they would be at the dealership to let me know they were ready to be picked up. Friendly parts staff and also had a chance to meet and speak to one of the parts managers. I have not yet had the chance to deal with the service department but when I do I will post an update. I am really impressed with all of my interactions with this dealership so far. read more

I have had the worst service experience with this dealership and if you can avoid them please do. First and foremost I bought a couple cars from them with no major trauma. And I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt. Here are 2 instances that will not have me going back..... First we had a battery draw issue on our 2015 Camaro, it sat for 5 days and was dead. A new battery was purchased and installed at home and it still had an issue so we took it to the dealer to find the issue. They said they could not find the draw and suggested that if I am not going to drive the afore mentioned car to disconnect the battery. The same car where the battery that is located in the trunk and cannot be accessed without opening the door that requires battery power to drop the windows a bit in order to open the door. This is the same car that will sit for maybe a week at a time. I will NOT be doing that. Then they tell me there was an update with OnStar. Guess what? No more issue after the OnStar update was done. AND the car has not had a battery issue since. Fast forward to this weeks experience..... Took in our 2017 Chevy Colorado with a whine that sounds like an AC/power steering type of thing and an oil change. They did the oil change and said they could not hear the whine and I was told that "until it shows itself more" we can't help you with it......SO, if you can't plug your machine into the vehicle and have it tell you there is something wrong, your techs are clueless and cannot do some "hands on" research?? Drove it home and have listened to the same noise for a week. Took it to Carr GMC today and the service writer could hear the whine just pulling it into the service drive...BEFORE I even mentioned why I was there for service. What was the issue? A bad seal on the transfer case out put shaft....Oh and they fixed the vibrating hood that Alan Webb could not by adjusting the 6 hood stops correctly.....Seriously it's not rocket science get it together people..... Shout out to Carr GMC you now have my business. read more

I came in on a busy, hectic day to cancel my service contract (extended warranty). I called three times with three voicemails and no one ever got back to me. I'm here today getting my oil changed and brought it up to Todd Kooistra! He helped me get it taken care of and the upstairs staff sent in my paper work apologizing on losing my paper. Whatever you do make sure to do your research before purchasing a vehicle from this auto group. They do nothing but give you the run around and their managers and service department have horrible follow up. I was promised to have a bumper fixed that 18 months later still has not been fixed correctly. I would suggest getting anything you have done with them in writing as they do not follow through with anything they agree to, not to mention the auto body that they use is undergoing bankruptcy. Their rating with the BBB is currently an F, that's why their business is not accredited with the BBB.
