    Carne asada plate

This place was pretty decent for food on the road for work. I ended up popping in a couple times for different meals while traveling. There is a drive through which was excellent because after working 12-15 hr days I didn't want to go in, or sit down anywhere besides my hotel room. First meal was asada plate second meal was a steak burrito. 1) on the plate they literally had warm homemade flour tortillas wrapped on the side. I wish they were corn cuz I was so surprised on the quality. It's what made me want to try another menu item. It was hardy and it came with rice and beans too. Decent portions for the price. Id request corn tortillas and pay extra if needed next time. 2) the burrito. I'm trippin on the burrito. Like I read it comes with pico and guac. But I didn't realize THATS ALL IT COMES WITH. LOL!! I asked for no pico cuz they had decent verde salsa and was going to go nuts on that. I ended up with a flour tortilla with meat and guac. Nothin else. I'm used to beans and rice in a regular (non upgraded) burrito. I would definitely pay extra to have it be a standard burrito and add cheese. But that aside, still damn good. Id definitely come back. Not the best Mexican (steak is a little under seasoned) but it was fresh and great portions for the price. Way better than chain drive through options. Shout out to the staff for being helpful and giving extra salsa. Needs salsa for every bite. lol

Super tasty authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices. Inside was very clean and staff was friendly. we came during breakfast time but the whole menu was available. Would go back!

Fast Food at its best. I was really craving Mexican food and I stopped here at Alberto's. I had never been and when you walk in it looks like a Taco Bell but the food is exceptionally better FOOD: I was by myself and I ordered the Chicken Fajitas. I forgot to ask for corn tortillas and was served flour but they seemed like freshly made flour tortillas. The chicken was super flavorful and the veggies fresh. Atmosphere: like I said it had a kind of Taco Bell or fast food feel but don't let that stop you. The food was really good. Service: typical fast food service style. It would help the atmosphere if the crew made you feel like you were in an authentic Mexican restaurant. Tip: leave your expectations at home and enjoy some great food at a low cost. My fajitas, chips and salsa and a Horchata, was $18

So good food, at a good price, with fast and good service. Hard to beat. It's hard to find a Mexican place not charging $20 for a burrito, luckily Alberto's is not. The food is good too, and we must have had all of it within 5 mins to be honest. Menu variation was good, prices were very fair. Seating was generous, clean and plenty. I'll come back.

Wow. Very impressed. Food came out super fast. Everything was fresh & hot. Side of rice was very decently sized. Portions were good. Staff was friendly. Would've liked more sauce options, but it was still a great experience. I will definitely be back.

Delicious for a Mexican place in the state of Utah Salt Lake City. Ate here twice on my business trip.

Coming from Los Angeles it is baffling to me how this place can get such good feedback. After 15 years this place has not improved one bit. Food is bland... I mean no taste at all, salsas are just water with a mild taste of cilantro or chili... almost not flavor. I understand they cater to people that don't eat spicy, but that's no excuse not to have at least one spicy salsa and better tasting dishes. Service: The young woman that served us came across as though we were annoying her by just asking literally 2 questions about the menu. She was very rude and her body language implied "Are you leaving yet " very rude vibes. Her attitude revealed itself the moment I asked her ( She's Hispanic) in Spanish if she had breakfast plates. So I switched to English as I noticed from her expression that she very much disliked me speaking in the language she's probably spoken all her life at home ( Spanish) but that she wants to forget to convince everyone around her she's an American. I heard her speak Spanish to a co-worker. This is a common issue with some of my fellow Hispanics that are raised or born here as I was... they think that by hiding the fact they speak Spanish it will somehow make them feel more accepted by non Spanish people... It's a shame, the place is very clean, the other workers seemed nice. But yes the steak, beans, tortillas, had no flavor, nothing special like say Sonoratown or Mexicali Taco and Company. It's a shame, if they used their resources to make decent food with the prices they charge and if they got less rude people as cashiers they'd be packed everyday. Prices are just as high as places like high end taquerias in Los Angeles. Unless they change things I am sure I won't be the only one not returning. I've never written a negative review but this experience made me feel I needed to share my experience.

Found a hair in my burrito halfway through. I'm beyond disgusted. I will NOT be returning. I want my money back.

Great food, often busy due to being in the heart of downtown. friendly employees, TV is playing throughout, soccer game i believe. they have Red and Green sauce for you to take to your table, great restaurant and decently priced

Well, I must have loved it since I went twice!! First day tried the BLT as well as a chocolate croissant which is to seriously die for, it is a must. Kiaya (lord I hope that is right) was my server and she was excellent. I had a Pellegrino Blood Orange soda along with my lunch and loved the salad dressing as well! The sandwich was with 1/2 salad and 1/2 potatoes, yum yum. The second time, I had Connor (he will remember Sheldon) who served me. He was awesome. I tried out a blueberry mimosa, an iced mocha and a water (I had been walking a lot and was tired and thirsty, don't judge). Then I just wanted that dang BLT again! I also ordered another almond chocolate croissant (I know, I know, should have tried something else). Well I did get a cookie too! My lunch was taking a little long, so they also brought out a couple of pastry items to try as well, so yum yum! The Chocolate Macaroon was also so wonderful and I cannot say enough about this quaint spot. It did fill up during lunch on the Thursday, so get there early or late! PROS: Main street, easy access from transportation/offices Great selection of homemade pastries Nice choices for drinks (obviously, I tried a few) Super quaint bistro style inside Outside seating under shade and a tree Attentive and exceptional employees (CONNOR) CONS: Parking may be an issue, although some on-street parking available DON'T THINK, JUST GO! Lots of choices.

Thankfully, no reservation was needed but it was still really busy. We were able to get seating next to the window; however I do wish the spacing between tables were a little bit bigger, as it feels like everyone's in each other's conversations and forces you to be friends with your neighbors. Not ideal when you're on a date night or trying to be intimate with someone. For drinks, we were interested in trying something before ordering a bottle or a glass. I didn't realize that for a wine sampling like that, it was $3 bucks... We got just a glass, and I went for a custom cocktail. ON the bill, they call it a "bar roulette," and that ran me $20 bucks... yesh, but ok!!! Dinner choices for us were the Clam Chowder & Wagyu Steak. The claim chowder presentation was definitely unexpected as it didn't resemble a Soup as expected. The changing of menus so I was good and I was good to see a couple things still there, but also familiar with some of the new stuff that I saw being delivered did leave me scratching my head.

Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and exactly the right amount of present (if you know what I mean). I enjoyed the maitake on rice with cashew cream and it was delicious. The salty mushrooms were mellowed by the chewy rice. The cashew cream gave a nice variation in texture. I didn't leave a morsel behind. The harissa carrots were nice as well. They are cooked soft and have a moderate spice level that is again contrasted by the mild labneh and tahini base. I had to save the rolls with herb better for last. Oh. My. God. These were divine. I'm a sucker for bread of any kind but these are what the Hawaiian dinner rolls wish they could be. They are perfectly pillowy and the herb butter just elevates them. Do not miss these for more "sophisticated" fare. If I lived here, I would definitely come back. Everything was considered and well-executed. Bravo

Like many people, we were excited to dine at a restaurant led by a chef who has beaten Bobby Flay. We arrived for our 8:15 p.m. reservation and were seated promptly. Unfortunately, from that point on, the service became increasingly confusing. Our server seemed flustered from the beginning and even commented that she wanted to make sure everything was right for our experience. When ordering drinks, I asked for a root beer and was told they had one. A few minutes later I was informed they actually didn't and was given a Dr Pepper instead. No big deal--I didn't want to make an issue of it. The bigger problems started with the food service. There were three of us. Two ordered the filet, and one ordered the chicken. The first entrées brought to our table weren't ours at all and had to be taken away. When our actual meals arrived, they were still mixed up. I was served the chicken despite ordering the filet. The same thing happened with dessert. We ordered two Baked Alaskas and one Lemon Cake. Again, the desserts were delivered to the wrong people. These weren't major issues individually, but when they happen repeatedly throughout one meal, it takes away from what should have been an outstanding dining experience. Now for the positive... The kitchen absolutely delivered. The filet was cooked perfectly. The chicken was outstanding. Presentation was beautiful. The Baked Alaska was one of the best I've had. The food easily earns five stars. Unfortunately, the front-of-house experience did not. To make matters worse, after I finished the Dr Pepper that I hadn't originally ordered, my glass sat empty for roughly 45 minutes. No refill was offered, and I eventually had to ask for another beverage while dessert was being served. One final observation... The receipt included an optional surcharge for the back-of-house staff. I understand it could be removed upon request, but I don't believe guests should be placed in the position of deciding how restaurant employees are compensated. Pay your team well, price the menu accordingly, and let guests simply enjoy their meal. Urban Hill has one of the most talented kitchens I've experienced in quite some time. If the service can reach the same level as the food, this restaurant would easily deserve five stars.

They have remembered my family and bring us our drinks without even needing to ask. Their food is delicious, and we appreciate the authenticity. If you haven't been, and aren't near by to partake in their amazing food regularly, you HAVE to try the Philly asada omelet. You won't regret it!! I saw a comment about the restaurant being dark, but the lighting seems great. Anything much brighter would probably upset my eyes, especially early in the morning (as that's when we typically go). Someone also mentioned the wait is long. The restaurant isn't huge, and if you go at a time when everyone else is also going, usually any time after 9, then of course it'll be busy. Go early and it'll be faster, but either way, the wait is completely worth it. Thank you, to the Our Kitchen Cafe family for being so kind to me and my family.
