Todd got back to me within an hour and was able to answer all of my questions. The whole process of setting up an appointment was quick and easy. Nick came to inspect my house for both ant and rodent issues, and he was very thorough. I was impressed by how knowledgeable he was and how clearly he explained the situation, answered my questions, and provided different options. Their pricing was also very reasonable, especially considering the level of detail, professionalism, and service they provided. I have lived in this house for over 40 years and have worked with a number of pest control companies, both big and small. I feel like I have finally found one I can trust. Exotek provides detailed inspections and real solutions, rather than outsourcing the work to another company. I'm thrilled with their service and have signed up with Exotek for continued monitoring because I trust their work. I know they will help safeguard my home from insects and rodents. Inspection Process: 10/10 - Todd was very thorough and provided detailed information on what his crew will do to seal the exterior and interior holes, the types of materials to be used and the benefits of the materials. Service Date: 10/10 - They were very accomodating on a weekend appointment and arrived within the time window (calling me when they were 30 minutes out). The process of filling all holes/gaps inside and outside the home was completed in a timely manner and of high quality. Follow Ups: 10/10 - They came back for the next few weeks to check on traps and no additional mice/rats were found. I highly recommend Exotek!

If you're reading this you know how gross and violating that feels. I tried traps with no success and was starting to feel pretty stuck. I first called another company who charged me $100 for a ~10 minute "inspection." They barely looked around, guessed it was the garage door, and quoted me nearly $1,000 just to set traps. That experience left a sour taste and didn't inspire confidence. By the time the issue turned into a real infestation, I knew I needed to call in the big guns. Enter Frank and Tom. Frank came out within 30 minutes of my call and did an actual inspection... garage, full exterior, and roof. He identified multiple possible entry points and patched several of them immediately, before I had paid him anything. It was obvious right away that my problem was now his problem and he was going to solve it. A couple days later, Frank and his brother Tom came back to do the full work. They sealed all identified entry points, poured concrete forms so the garage door sat perfectly flush with the floor, cleaned up all rodent droppings, installed a one-way exit door just in case anything was still inside, and set up two cameras to monitor activity. When they were done, they charged me what other companies had quoted just to set and monitor traps. The value is unbeatable. It still blows my mind. It's been a few weeks now and both Frank and Tom are still checking in. There have been no sounds, no signs, and no activity at all and it's such a relief. You really can't go wrong with these guys.

Last year we paid $1,000 to Cruz of Do Right Rodent Proofing for his services to come rodent proof our property and he said it included for him to come weekly to check the Home Depot box traps he placed throughout our garage. He did not state how long the weekly checks would be and he did not come back to check the traps after his initial visit. I called to ask after a couple of weeks to ask what happened and he said he had a heart attack and would come back after a couple of weeks. He never came back. After several months I contacted him again and he said that his service ended with us as he only checks traps the first 3 weeks, but he never came to check the traps! After I complained he came back finally and removed all the Home Depot box traps and said there was no more activity. We still have rodent activity, ugh!!! Stay away from this business!!! Money sorely wasted.

Without missing a beat, Frank and Mark walked us through the issue, installed new piping, and cleared out every last trace of built-up lint in addition to meticulously cleaning out all the air and bathroom vents throughout the entire house. Francisco Andas, my Exterminator Technician, has serviced my apartment on various occasions. However, I hadn't seen Francisco for a few months. Incidentally, I vacationed for three weeks recently. Upon my return, there was a dead mouse in the mouse trap that had been in my living roomthere for some time and the odor was extremely offensive, unsanitary and unsafe. I immediately notified, Alert Pest Control to service my apartment once again. Alert Pest Control responded immediately and discovered numerous droppings in my living room, activity in the kitchen, bedroom, as well as the common area where the garbage cans are kept in the exterior of the building. Please use this company and request Francisco, because I now know, that the problem will be resolved if not today, very soon. Additionally, Mr Andas, provided recommendations to our Property Management Company, regarding the rodent problem in our apartment building, which incidentally only has four units. It also should be noted, that our Property Management Company, handles the garbage and recycling receptacles. However, the company refuses to honor, the compost requirement of all San Francisco buildings in 2025. This factor, adds to another unsanitary situation in our building. The firm, who "promised" to correct the substandard and missing "rodent proofing items" now REFUSES to perform these services BECAUSE of this Yelp review. That should tell you VOLUMES about the character and quality of this firm. We will update this after we complete are small claims action against them and dispute with our bank on the charges made against our Credit Card INCLUDING for service calls that never happened. As said before, KEEP shopping. Would be happy to provide live details to you upon request. MOST IMPORTANT READ THE OTHER 1 and 2 STAR REVIEWS. COMPLETELY CONSISTENT WITH THIS ONE and our experience. All I have to say about this company is that they blew me away! By that I mean, I was amazed. With this fluctuating weather and rain I have been having quite a few ants in my kitchen and they get into every single grain of food. After being unsuccessful trying to kill them with my handy dandy Windex, I decided to call a professional, I called up this company and spoke to a very informative gentleman, sounded really experienced, said he's been working there for 26 + years, Based on my location, I decided to go on a 6 month contract for a monthly maintenance of theses little pests. An appointment was made the next day so I waited for the technician and to my surprise.......Now I don't mean to be judgmental or anything, but a young lady came by to do my service, I thought to myself, "NO WAY", but she took her time and a couple days later they started to diminish.....Finally, no more ants, uncles, cousins....whatever. They are an equal opportunist. I just want to say that I am truly satisfied and pleased with the technician, she was kind, experienced and knew what she was doing, I even wrote them a thank you letter...........yeah a little Corny, but I'm sure it goes a long way. I called two weeks ago And agreed to contract with this company. At the time of call with sales man Michael. I explained that I had a bad ant problem . I was assured that they would rectify this problem with a guarantee. Two weeks later I have ants again. So i called for a trouble shoot and they first quoted me 52.00 and than 25.00 . Oh by the way we dont guarantee our work for the first month to three months thats for us to decide. And it says on the bottom of your service receipt that there is a chip charge of 25.00 (it only says 25.00 for missed appointments) oops that was my secretaries mistake . Bla .Bla Oh and my service guy " John Said" spent too much time at your house and he should have charged you more so be happy that you even got that service. So very long story short . i had the contract terminated . (no pun intended) since they falsified there contract. And john was nothing but horrible to me on the phone. Do Not use these guys. They will not stand by there work and will dime you all the way. They didn't care for me at all as a costumer. And told me I was hard to please? Dude I payed you to kill my ants two weeks ago. I had a wonderful experience with Alert Pest Control. Six months ago, I received a few bites, freaked out, and upon tearing my place apart, found a bed bug! I called around for price quotes, and this company was, by far, the least expensive. Every employee I spoke to on the phone was extremely professional and friendly. I called back multiple times to ask questions, and they were knowledgeable, nice and patient with me. My pest control operator, Uri, was the best! He was pleasant and cheerful--you couldn't ask to meet a nicer person. The treatments were effective (I haven't had a bite since) and I saved a ton of money by going with these guys! Having bedbugs is a nightmare, but the staff at Alert made the experience of eliminating the problem the most positive it could be. They are always efficient, professional, and courteous; but more than that they really take the time to hear your vermin issues and never fail to suggest some things the google search didn't mention. I work in a 90yo long term care facility near a major park, with lots of critters. We had an out of control mouse infestation that laying snap traps just wasn't gonna fix. Alert Pest Control came to our rescue and sealed our 10 acre campus up tighter than Fort Knox. What's more, the anti-mouse measures look clean and professional. David was the man who came last month to do the rodent proofing. He did a thorough job, and is very efficient and explained everything he needed to do. This morning it proved that the rodent proofing indeed worked! So we are pleased with the proofing job! However David did inform us of the realities of rodent proofing and that it cannot be 100% effective all the time, which I appreciate his honesty, and realize that rodents are wild animals who cannot be predicted 100% of the time. Yet David does know his business and where to look for the critters! David is professional and very personable and looks for ways to save us money, which is appreciated. Alert came to my house because I had mice. The mice were in my garage and to my surprise in my kitchen. I called many companies and every company wanted me to sign up for 1 year. I didn't feel like I needed a long term commitment. Alert cam out 3 times with no commitment. They removed 12 mice from my home. The Alert came out and rodent proofed my home. Francisco has been my tech for long time: He's a total professional who does a thorough and effective job. We had our share of mice get in after the city did some extensive sewer work on our street, that for some reason took 8 months. Perhaps it was necessary. What do I know about sewers? Alert Pest Control came out because I had bedbugs. I called them and they were able to come out the next day. The technician did a through inspection of my unit and found a few bedbugs on my headboard. They treated my unit that day. Ever since then I have not been bitten by the bedbugs. I had Bedbugs!! My landlord called a company that inspects with a dog, the dog didn't find anything. I was still getting bites so I took it on my own to call Alert Pest. A technician came out and did a through inspection. He found a few bedbugs, he showed them to me. I knew I had bedbugs. I had my apartment treated 3 times. I am now bedbug free. I used them again this summer. I had Mice. They were pooping in my garage and I saw a few poops in my kitchen. The friendly staff at Alert sent someone over to set traps to catch these terrible mice. If we were home, he'd do a great job, but there were times that we weren't home and we noticed a definite change in the quality of that visit - - - ie, de-webbing was only around doorways and not done along the walls, corners or outdoor grill/furniture. Also, the scheduler started to get a little passive-aggressive if the day she suggested didn't work for us. Too bad because we'd been happy with them for many years, but I don't need to babysit during the appointment in order to get the service we pay for, and I also don't need to feel like it's my fault that my schedule doesn't fit with the first appointment day/time that the scheduler offers.

I looked up the services before and found their recommended service and cadence to be very reasonable. They don't push selling monthly services. It is a small business and the owner Eric is out on projects during the day. They will respond to emails. Eric showed up pretty on time. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I learned something about my housemates. It was good learning. He finished his project during the time we agreed on. My housemate slowly moved out. Given where I live, I still get occasional visitors once in a while. At some point, I got concerned and Eric does cover post service warranty time period. Gradually, the new visitors will disappear. I have not seen a full blown home invasion again from these creatures. I would like to work with them again. Their material is safe with kids and pets. We are doing well but the ants are not.

We did a walk through of the house and he pointed out all the areas that they could potentially be coming in from. I was able to get an appointment quickly and they did the work same day. They used quick cement, sheet metal and other solid material that would ensure the mice couldn't chew through. He even went the extra mile and helped me set a bunch of traps (indoors and outdoors) and provided advice to minimize attraction for mice. They were extra thorough and proofed hard to reach places that I wouldn't even think to look. Tim & George are very knowledgeable, thorough and overall were so kind and professional. Highly recommend them!!
