The food is quite tasty; the flavours were well balanced and it appears that there is endless variation in the salad you could get there. The chicken I requested to have in my salad was well cooked and tender. Their croutons that, I believe are made in house, are so well seasoned and really crunchy! The Caesar salad dressing they make is quite nice too, balanced and true to flavour. Over all I would recommend the dish I got which was a Caesar salad with roasted chicken. I made it using the create your own salad option on the menu. I'd say judging on the dish I got that the other food is good too but I can't say for sure. - The service was quite friendly, and when something wrong happened with my girlfriend's order they very graciously fixed the issue, I'd chalk it up to miscommunication. It showed me they follow through and aren't afraid to go above and beyond to nail the experience. Zero problems with the service, overall quite happy with it! - The seating areas are both really cute and comfortable. Overall I am quite happy Alfalfa and would go back way too often if I lived in the area! Alfalfa is a casual eatery on Main Street in Santa Monica, where you order at the counter and then find a seat either on their back patio or in front. Their breakfast burritos scramble the eggs along with the potato hash (which has red peppers and onions) and Oaxaca and Manchego cheese all together and is served with avocado tomatillo salsa and a spicy salsa roja de arbol. You can either order it with chorizo ($11.50) or without ($9.50). It's an extremely dense burrito. A normal person would be happy with just eating a half. I almost finished my entire burrito and had to skip lunch because I was so full afterwards. Service is super-friendly! We asked for water and instead of just telling us to help ourselves to the water at the self-serve station, he didn't hesitate to help us. Honestly food was pretty good but the atmosphere was not it. To start, we walked in and one of the workers was talking to her friend in the open prior to helping us and then brought our coffees but had forgotten the rest of our order. Second, My friend and I sat outside and there were umbrellas falling down all over definitely a liability and the door was swinging open and closed which leads me to my next point. I guess since we were sitting outside there were very few servers coming out so I decided to bring my dishes in however the door slammed shut on my finger and it hurt like a bitch leaving a deep cut and it is still numb. We did have an incident where a drink fell and a barista brought us a new so that was nice.
