A friend and I came here to study and we were surprised to find that there were no outlets.. not ideal for a coffee shop that has a decent amount of seating. There are also a few tables outside. The location is really nice, as is the ambiance inside, so it would be a nice place to study if you don't have the need for an outlet to charge your laptop or something. The coffee is also pretty good quality. They serve stumptown coffee which is always great. Don't forget to check in on yelp for a free drip coffee! I came back to try the matcha "alfogato". I've never seen an affogato with matcha; it's usually just espresso poured over some ice cream or gelato, but this version was DIVINE! The matcha was quality and the ice cream had the perfect consistency. You can pick your ice cream flavor too! I went with vanilla but I was given several options including pistachio. I enjoyed the strawberry croissant. Never ordering the cold brew float again. I didn't like the consistency of the ice cream ( was freezer burnt) and the cold brew. It felt like the flavors were playing separately. This location is awful. There's hardly any seats because 1 person would take up an entire table or two. It's also a ton of traffic to get here. Well known for their locations on Melrose, taking over this slightly precarious location is a challenge just maybe Alfred can pull off. They will definitely get a fair amount of business from me due to serving coffee drinks made with STUMPTOWN beans and delicious goodies from Sugarbloom Bakery. Much closer to me than Blue Bottle will make them the easy choice when I need a quick afternoon fix. I understand other food options (breakfast burritos, etc) are going to be in the mix too. 3.5 Star Cute coffee place to chill after long days of shopping around the area. I got their iced rose black tea and my friend got iced hazelnut latte. Rose black tea was okay, kind of bland and I did not taste any rose flavor. My friend really enjoyed her hazelnut latte. I went to opening day to Alfred Beverly Hills and ADORED the space. There is an abundance of seating and the coffee is to DIE for I have always been a fan of Alfred and am so happy that they expanded to Beverly Hills!! Beverly Hills has free 2 hour parking lots for the public which are located right down the street from the shop!! Very convenient place to stop and grab a coffee with friends. Coffee is good - not exceptional. In terms of how I'd rate the iced latte here, would be under Peet's, and probably marginally better than coffee bean and Starbucks. I personally think it's overpriced too. On another note, I really like the atmosphere here. And the pastries are definitely unique, so that may be enough to sway people. If you're just meeting someone here to catch up and want decent coffee with a good environment, I think this is the place to do just that. But for the grab-n-go coffee aficionado, I think you can find better (and cheaper). Overall, recommend. read more

Cute, trendy coffee shop hits the Golden Triangle. I work within walking distance of this place but probably won't make this my go-to coffee spot. It's kind of expensive ($5.25 for 12 oz. latte with non-dairy milk, not including tip. Always tip your help!). They serve Stumptown coffee, Sugarbloom baked goods, and breakfast burritos from The Rooster. The burritos are pre-made, which is kind of a disappointment for the price they are ($10). They just heat them up in a panini grill and serve them to-go style with two little containers of salsa. Also wished that they offered more of their delicious tea offerings. I'm a fan of the tea beverages they have at the location off Melrose Place. For as large as this location is, I wish they offered their full range of in-house drink selections. It's a little hidden, located on the southwest corner of Santa Monica Blvd. & Beverly Drive. Easiest parking are the public City of Beverly Hills parking lots. Not a super pedestrian-heavy intersection, so keep your eyes peeled if you're walking around town looking for it. read more

I'm a big fan of Alfred's. I've frequented the Melrose location a lot. I was strolling through the neighborhood and was delighted to see that this location finally opened. I decided to go inside and was greeted by helpful staff. The employee let us know that the affogato is exclusive to the Beverly Hills location so that's what I decided to get. They had a coffee option and a matcha option. I chose the matcha option with vanilla icecream. It was around $5 (which is quite expensive for the amount you get, but it's LA and typical of Alfred's). The matcha was a great compliment to the vanilla ice-cream and very refreshing on the hot day I went. I ıThe only critique I would have is that there were some thick matcha pieces inside that weren't whisked well. As for seating, there is a decent amount inside and outside. There is also wifi available. For parking I suggest driving farther down the street near the cheesecake factory, there you will find a parking lot that has 2 hours of free parking before 6pm. Definitely would come back to study! read more

Went for the bagels but they said they were out. So, I ordered a hot turkey pesto sandwich that was a whopping 12 dollars. They labeled it as what I ordered, but gave me a completely different sandwich. I also ordered an iced espresso speciality drink that contained mushrooms, but it tasted like pure oat milk. For a place with so many employees standing around doing nothing, that's this expensive, and on a main Beverly Hills street... I expected way more. We came in for the first time today to check it out, we had ordered the peach Palmer and a hibiscus pomegranate drinks. First sip, straight syrup. I had spit it out and after mixing it, it was really bitter, sour and extremely sugary. This is my favorite & regular Alfred's. The coffee is awesome, the avo bagel is delicious and the people who work here are nice. Simple decor, mainly indoor seating and a few seats outside on the corner of Beverly & SM blvd. Its a great place to people and car watch. It can be busy depending on when you go as it's across the BH sign & it attracts tourists aswell. The coffee is tasty & strong. Prices are comparable to other specialty coffee shop and I'm fine with paying for good coffee, not watered down burnt water like Carrera cafe. They have some pastries and other bites such as bagels and burrito. Parking can be annoying in this area but you can usually find some N of SM blvd by the park & residential area. read more

I've made it a ritual to come to this coffee shop every Friday morning. It is my reward for a long work week - that's how good it is The vanilla latte is so frothy and delicious with the right amount of sweetness. And the pastries are insanely good. My favorite is the almond croissant. It is one of the best I've ever had and they are so addicting. The only issue is that the line is always long but that's the price you pay for excellent quality coffee! Great coffee and delicious pastries. What more could you want? read more

Fine place for coffee but I wish there was something special in terms of service or product. For me, it's fine (perhaps a bit fresher than others) but not enough to justify the cost as well as the parking. I'd still choose the ease and convenience of the Starbucks in my office building than coming here for the Alfred product. With that being said, they have one of my favorite almond milks out of most of the LA coffee houses so it's a bright point along with the selection of matcha drinks. I'll be back next time I'm shopping or walking around the area, but it's definitely not a place I go out of the way for. I only visit when I'm up in La staying with family since they closed my Coffee Bean. :( This location always has a line no matter when you go. I've been a couple of times and the lattes are good. During covid though, highly recommend you order ahead of time because it could take them a while to take your order in person since they are short staffed and overwhelmed with online orders. We learned that after our 2nd visit. That makes a huge difference. The drinks are on the pricier side but it is Beverly Hills. I like the seasonal drinks they offer. I had the Thanksgiving special one and then just go the Berry mint one as well. Both were good. Definitely worth a try. read more

First time trying this place after my wife heard about it and we ended up going two days in a row to get an iced vanilla latte and their Rico suave breakfast burrito. Their burritos are different bc they put it in a panini press so it's not soggy and slightly crispy on the outside. It has tater tots, avocado, cheese and eggs. It's wrapped so you get a little bit of each in every bite. It's a good size and not messy to eat which usually is not the case with breakfast burritos. The iced vanilla latte is on the sweet side so probably not the best to have every day though it's incredibly good. My wife got the hot matcha latte with oat milk and she loved her drink as well. Service both days was pretty quick though you do have to wait 8-10 min for the burritos which they tell you before you pay. We will be back next weekend. read more

Such a nice little cafe to stop and grab a green tea. Great location. I met a friend and we walked around the park across the street after getting our drinks. She got a hot chocolate with almond milk and I order the matcha green tea latte with almond milk and both we're great. Staff were friendly. Their bakery items looked amazing and instagrammable but we didn't order any this time. Def will have to try the next time I go bc I've heard the croissants are amazing! Just a note I love that their almond milk is UNsweetened. Starbucks is pre sweetened I think which adds some unnecessary calories. At least it gives you the choice to add your preferred sweetener afterwards if you want. Parking is easy in the lot that's right across from Alfred. This store has the best customer service I've ever received! Long story short, I had an issue with the payment method I used to purchase my drinks (I mistakenly used my company card.) This has happened to me once before at a different coffee shop/restaurant and it was a headache to try to resolve and switch payment methods after the payment was processed. However, my experience at Alfred was very pleasant and easy! Kenan is the manager and he helped facilitate resolving the issue. He was extremely pleasant and professional.
