First visit, and my wife and I had a very good dinner here on Cinco de Mayo. I had the Burrito Plate and chose the Chile Verde burrito. The burrito was pretty big and stuffed with pork. The green sauce, melted cheese, sour cream, and guacamole all helped make this plate delicious. Beans and rice also come with the plate, so it's a lot of food. My wife had two shredded beef tacos (hard shell) with a side side of rice. The tacos are a really good size just like the burrito. The staff was great, and when you consider that it was Cinco de Mayo they did a great job of taking care of everyone. I ordered my usual- 2 Hard Tacos (Carnitas) , Cheese Nachos and a side of sour cream via Ubereats delivery on 04/06/24. Normally after I order via the app- I immediately call the restaurant since the choices for Hard Tacos- are either- Chicken or Shredded Beef. I prefer Carnitas and for the Tacos to be "Double Hard Shelled"- I usually ask for Nelson- since he's used to my order- unfortunately he was out when I called but Gabriela- said she'd take care of my request. This is the best Mexican food in this area. The restaurant is consistently busy with dine-in and carry out customers. The food is always made to order, fresh, and we always clean our plates! What a wonderful local spot for Mexican food in Lomita! This Alfredo's is our favorite! We pulled up Saturday evening for dinner 2/8 and the place was packed inside and outside, but we found a spot on the patio for two. The two people working that night were amazing and attentive to everybody inside and outside the restaurant. I always worry that when a restaurant is that busy the service is usually slow and horrible, but not in this case! Everything was excellent the young man and server Karina were amazing and made an excellent team in handling all those customers. Our group chose to sit outside where they gave the portable heaters to keep you warm. They were quick to take our order and gave us complimentary chips and salsa. On the menu, it says you get two rounds for free but they never refilled ours. I got the carne asada burrito. After seeing my friends order their wet, I wish I had gotten that instead. It looked much more appetizing and their burrito plate came with rice, beans, guacamole, and sour cream on the side. My burrito just had rice, beans, and carne asada in it. I was surprised they didn't have a "super" option to have guacamole inside. It was a bit plain to me as there was no cheese or sauces inside, but I guess that's why you order a wet burrito‍. My boyfriend and I have been ordering takeout from here for years now, but today was our first time dining in. The food was always amazing when we ordered it, but dining in is a whole other level of delicious. We usually get the wet burritos or combo plates, which has never failed us. Today we decided to order stuff we've never had here. I got a cup of Albondigas soup. It the broth was perfectly seasoned and it warmed me up inside in the best way. For our entrees, we ordered Chilaquiles and a Chili Relleno plate with ground beef inside. Getting the Chilaquiles fresh is a MUST. Perfectly crunchy and soft at the same time. I don't know what the sauce on it was, but it was honestly magical. The Chili Relleno was different in a wonderful way. A more egg forward outside, which I actually loved! Also came with a wonderful tomato-y sauce on top. All in all, this place is a small hidden treasure. The chefs are obviously talented and use fresh ingredients. And all the staff I've interacted with has been accomodating and friendly. We were served by Karina tonight who was lovely, attentive, and made great conversation. Perfect on a cold day, or anytime really. :) Consisting of meat balls, carrots, potatoes, celery, onions cilantro and Mexican rice, this soup soothes the soul. The meat balls are so juicy, tender and flavorful. The best albondigas soup I've had to date. The broth is very hearty, bursting with flavor. Seasoned very nicely, and the Mexican rice at the bottom of the bowl is very tasty and has a nice soft but chewy texture. This soup definitely tastes home made and will warm you right up. I ordered a large to go and almost finished it entirely. They give you a lot, I enjoyed it that much. I intentionally left one meat ball in a little bowl of the soup w veggies in case I reminisce later on how amazing the soup was, I will have a little treat saved. ;) I also like how the corn tortillas have that sweet corn taste with nice chewy texture, tastes authentic and is perfect for wrapping up bits of meatball to dip in the soup. Came in on a Thursday night and asked if they had Menudo (since I was feeling under the weather) and to our surprise they did! The manager or head waitress brought us chips and salsa (the best salsa, so spicy and delicious) and took our orders promptly and asked us if we enjoyed Hominy in our soup, to which we responded YES!!! Please!!!! Shortly after, she brought out our soup (piping hot) and our freshly warmed tortillas. Boy, that soup hit the spot! What Cold? It was gone after the first sip. Super flavorful in the BEST way. If you know Menudo, you know it could either be really good or really gamy, weird/foul smelling, and just outright bad- but not here! It's delicious!
