This location has been under construction for a while now. When I realized that they opened within the last week or so, I figured I'd pop by and check them out. Weather being the usual for a Seattle November, I availed myself of their drive through. My order was taken and fulfilled quickly: a simple taco salad with beef which was under ten dollars. Wasn't far to return home and the taco shell remained crisp, despite the au jus from the birria. The layers were: refried beans, birria, a few cilantro leaves, iceberg lettuce, and shredded cheese. The employees are rude, always in a hurry to get your order and never listen or get order correct . Tasty tacos, burritos, and meals We often order from Aliaberto Jr, and it's pretty much always been delicious. There's only been one time where the food wasn't quite the expected quality (not sure what was up that day), but we're usually confident of what we'll get. Our favorites: 5* fish tacos. Double wrapped and quite large, with huge chunks of flaky, crunchy fish. Has never disappointed and we order it quite often. 5* Birria tacos. Double wrapped and filled with delicious shredded beef, super juicy and flavorful. Always delicious, and if there's less filling, it might be half filled instead of 3/4 filled, so still a goodly amount! 4* Chile verde. Our favorite chile verde in Seattle: tasty pork chunks in the best sauce (likely derived from their green salsa, but so much more tasty with the pork), comes with guacamole, beans, rice, lettuce, pico de gallo, and tortilla. Knocked off a star since the amount you get seems to be shrinking so how much you receive is variable. 4* Chicken/Beef tacos. These are hard shell (deep fried soft shell) making them delectably crispy and so very delicious. Good portion and tasty meat. Dropped a star, really just personal preference, since it can be a bit too oily depending on who makes it 4* 5 mini tacos. Comes with a drink (we always get the horchata). Only one flavor can be chosen, but we usually get the Carnitas which are always really tasty. Dropped a star since depending, the horchata can be less tasty (more sugar water) or there's less filling on the tacos, but usually it's still a goodly amount. 4* 2 beef burritos plate. Great since you get two burritos packed full of barbacoa, super tasty and juicy, but also comes with rice and beans. This plate is really filling and makes 2 meals or can be split so it's really worth it. Dropped a star since depending on who makes the burritos, they can be on the smaller side and lately they've been getting smaller. The only item that isn't really to my taste is the chile relleno, but everything else is my go-to for Mexican food! All in all, I highly recommend! read more

For a local late night spot, this is exactly what you want. They're a rare 24/7 spot in North Seattle that offers generous portions at low cost. Over the years, I've had pretty much everything - the quesadillas are massive, the tacos are FILLED, the monster burrito is packed, and torta was bigger than expected. The Jamaica was perfectly tart while sweet. The flan was clearly homemade and the texture was firm and custard-y as you'd hope. The only minus was the rolled tacos, which tasted simultaneously stale and soggy, and the meat inside was dry. Service was average, and to the point. Got the kids meal with carne asada two tacos, beans and rice. Also paired with a small horchata ; honestly, I wasn't expecting the horchata to taste good or fine because last time it really did taste like a powder mix and watered down but it did taste good this time. There was so much cheese on the tacos and beans??? No onion and cilantros, we weren't given limes either. The tacos were overwhelming with the cheese and the rice and beans were okay. $10 for this kids meal is terrible. Take your money and go to taqueria el sabor. Service was alright too, the manager/boss looked stressed out when I walked in because they were closing the indoor restaurant but kept drive thru 24 hours, but it should have mentioned what time they close indoors on Apple Maps. I ordered ahead of time so I was just in and out in 2 minutes. From my last visit, I had a carne asada burrito, it was just meat, super overwhelming to eat after a couple of bites. Incredibly bad all around. I'm a forgiving person. The first time I came, the food was acceptable. The only issue was one of the items we ordered was substituted for another item and forgot our guacamole. Fine. Food was acceptable. The second time I went, I ordered chips and salsa which is 7 dollars for some reason. They did not include the salsa. On top of that, we both were sick the next morning. Third time which we never should have granted them. My burrito was ice cold. Shut this business down. Neglect, poorly trained staff in the drive through. Embarrassing service. Probably newly opened, my daughter and I stopped in for breakfast/lunch on a Saturday around 11:30 and ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and three rolled chicken tacos. Took around ten minutes to get the food. The place got busy while we ate, and the staff worked quickly both inside and at the drive through. Burrito was excellent and the tacos were good, and came with a bit of guacamole on top and a healthy handful of cheese. Brightly colored and well lit, it feels welcoming. Had the worst quesadilla of my life here. My friend asked at the drive thru window if the chicken was shedded and we were told it was. Reader, what we received was the chunkiest chunks of the blandest chicken in all the land. Now, my friend's family owns a Mexican restaurant and accordingly has very high standards. I do not! I have never encountered a quesadilla I do not like. That is, until this bland, floppy, yellow-cheese monstrosity we received from Aliberto's. I have given them several chances on making a simple item. A Bean Tostada. My first take out order, the tortilla was completely burnt. The second take out order, they added shredded beef onto the beans, then topped with melted cheese so I couldn't just scrape them off. Really disappointed. I love the location in Sodo, but not this one. Ordered a veggie burrito and a side of carne asada for my brother. They tried charging something like $5 for the side at the window so I cancelled the side and just paid for my burrito. I confirmed with the worker that there was no meat in my burrito and he guaranteed it. I've had a bean tostada here a couple times and it was OK. Cheese enchiladas are flour tortillas with shredded cheese and sauce - canned apparently - all uncooked. Honestly, they should know better. It's good for the price, but not my favorite Mexican food and there are a lot of other options close by, however w"being open 24hours is super convenient! The food is pretty straight forward but the quality is hit or miss. The birria is tasty and you can't go wrong when you order that. I would stay clear of a chicken burrito as the chicken is dry and somewhat flavorless. Similarly the taco salad is not a favorite of mine (and taco salads are one of my favorite meals), maybe it's the chicken that just makes it bland or it's just too much stuff with too little flavor and a lack of freshness?? Idk but it does not hit the spot. Also 1/2 the time the food will be like warm and not even hot enough to melt the cheese they put on the beans which is a shame. BUT if it's the middle of the night and you've had too much to drink or perhaps too much to smoke I'm sure you will be pleased with this place being open and having plenty of greasy cheesy options to choose from. For starters ordered two chimichangas and tacos. Got home opened the bag discovered only one chimichanga. Called them and told them I'm missing a chimichanga and that I'd like to speak to the manager. Said the manager would be in tomorrow morning. drove back to get the rest of my ordered and asked to have my order remade as the tacos were mush and the other chimichanga was cold. Watched the employee put the old tacos back in the bag. They were refusing to remake the food but finally did. Got home and this is what one of the chimichangas look like. The guacamole looks like literal . Honestly don't think I'll be going back there again. $40 and my chimichanga looks like some on took a on it. SMH read more

I'm sorry but that was seriously the most bland, nasty Mexican food I've ever eaten. The refried beans tasted like they microwaved a can of Rosarita beans and the rice was like a box of Rice A Roni. The tacos were ok, but there was literally no flavor whatsoever. i went home and added some onion and cilantro and used all the green sauce provided. If you want flavorful Mexican food, go to Taqueria El Sabor up the street north or go back down the Aurora south and visit the food truck near Home Depot. Sooo disappointing. read more

Wow, this place is flamboyant and comical but with great food and portions. An interesting concept restaurant from SoCal that takes on old buildings and renovates them with bright colors, flags, signs, flashing lights to bring you in. The workers were a bit distracted but were efficient in getting orders turned around. The setting is nothing to write home about - basically an old decrepit taco time that was fixed up. But the food was traditional Mexican cuisine with your full offering of street tacos, enchiladas, tortas and the like. Portions were enormous and quality of ingredients was very good. Overall I'll be interested to see how well they do but they seem off to a good start. read more
