I called and made an "appointment" because I wanted my vehicle done early. I dropped it off at 9am when they opened for an alignment. The tech advised I probably don't need an alignment but possibly a wheel balance. Ok. Cool. Left the car, went to work, waited.... I get a call at 10:30, your car may need an alignment after all... Ok. Cool. Waited. I called at 12, your car is on the rack and almost done. I called at 1, your car is on the rack and almost done. Called at 2, Same answer. Got off of work and walked over at 3 and was told by the incredibly rude human behind the desk I was going to have to wait another half hour. Finally get my car at 3:40 and it is worse than before and I had to have another company fix it. Poor service and worse work. read more

I have been taking my 4 autos to Wheel Works in Santa Clara for tires and aliment. I just replaced the shocks on my 2015 Silverado 1500. Identical height, Rancho's (is a Z71) replaced with Bilstiens. Ironically, when I changed the shocks the truck drove great and did not pull at all. I took it to Wheel Works as a precautionary measure. After taking the truck to Wheel Works 4 times (one time their alignment person called in sick and I had an appointment) it continued to pull to the right (first time left, second time left, third time right). Please note: for every appointment I had to drop the car off, take Uber to work, they called me after a few hours and had to take Uber back. The final explanation: If we do anything else it will be bad for your tires. Isn't pulling bad for my tires I asked? No it is fine. We can make it not pull but then it is going to be bad for your tires. WHAT?????? and the icing on the cake: After the last alignment my steering wheel was also pointing right! I read the reviews on Yelp about Aligntechs. I made an appointment and took the truck to them the next day. They test drove it. They aligned it. They test drove it again. They handed it to me. The whole process took 20 min. The truck is perfect. The steering wheel is perfect and they charged me 1/2 of what Wheel works charges because I have their USELESS life time aliment Great job! Came by for an alignment the other day and the experience was mediocre at best. Called ahead for a same day appointment and David was courteous. The shop was in a sketchy part of town, which I was okay with. The 4 wheel alignment was quoted at $60 or $55 w/ the Yelp special. The exact words are as follows from the Yelp Check-In Offer: "$55 for computerized alignment. Check in to Aligntechs on your Smartphone from now until 12/31 and get an additional $5 off of the Yelp Special. *Most vehicles" ...so if the Yelp Special is $55, shouldn't an additional $5 off be $50?!? Victor took the car for a "pre-test drive" around the block before carefully putting the car up on the rack. The technician made the adjustments to the toe and camber under Victor's direction. Victor took an extended "after-test drive" after the alignment and brought the vehicle back on the rack to ensure that everything was tight and good to go. Memorable quotes: - "We recommend getting an alignment every 6 months" - Victor, while massively blinking his eyes... (body language says that he's lying) - "Front tires always wear out faster, even on rear wheel drive vehicles." - Victor - Note: Rear tires wear out faster on RWD vehicles, per my auto shop teacher! ;) Last but not least, they tried to take me to the cleaners: - Camber adjustments are an additional price. Proposed $70 total and settled to $65 as a "one-time offer" by David. So to recap, "an additional $5 off the $55 Yelp special" is actually a "toe only alignment"...there is a $15-$20 premium for camber adjustment... ...isn't that classic bait and switch?!? aye aye aye... hint...looks can be deceiving...can't judge a person on what he's wearing...a well dressed individual can be just, if not more knowledgeable than the tech...it's just a matter of a few classes at a local community college! ;) Oh, and per David, "mounting and balancing for your car is $25 per wheel due to low profile, TPMS, and large wheels..." ...the sign that he was standing next to clearly states that 40 series tires are $17.50 each...hilarious... read more

Referred by Costco I got an alignment for $60. The $5 Yelp deal does not combine with that referral (I purchased my tires from Costco). I called in advance to schedule an appointment but I believe you can just drop in, too. The waiting room is bare bones and no password-less wifi but for an alignment for that price you won't hear me complaining. Bathroom just round the corner and I never tried asking for the wifi pw. So my boyfriend had been driving my car at the time and he finally, at a red light, turned to me and said, "You have GOT to get this alignment fixed. It is TERRIBLE." Psh. It wasn't that bad. (It was.) He recommended this place and finally, on a day off, I said FINE. I'LL TAKE IT IN. So I did, and I was almost dreading it because I just don't like waiting..... ANYWAY, I get there and the guy greets me, I give him the deets on the car and tells me to take a seat. I think I'm there for 15 or 20 minutes when he pops back over and says I'm due for a tire rotation and that he could do it for a super good deal. I take the deal and then he disappears. Another 15 minutes later, he explains everything he did and some things to look out for (one tire was getting a little worn on one side) and that if I had any issues, bring it back and he'll fix the alignment again. This place was AWESOME. The service was great, it was FAST, friendly, and I highly recommend this place! Have had no problems with the alignment since then, even with the tire issue. Trying to find a shop to align your lowered car isn't fun. Luckily, I landed on Victor and Aligntechs to take care of my botch job of a coilover install. First time I met Victor, he did a once over on my car, popped the hood, then showed me how I installed my coilovers wrong (should've watched the YouTube video more closely). I took my DIY embarrassment of an install home and reinstalled them correctly. After fiddling with the front and rear coilovers, my L and R rear toe was out BAD. It was as if my car was driving on ice. For 10 miles. During Friday midday hangry traffic. I THOUGHT I had made an appointment, but in my infinite wisdom, I forgot to confirm it. Victor accommodated me and my sad excuse for a wannabe track car and had me leave the car for the day. When I went to pick up the car, Victor explained suspension geometry and everything he could and couldn't do. I waited about 10 min, while all the employees were in the back laughing. Before the guy came up to me, I hear what's that car doing up front does he have an appointment? The other guy responded laughing that's not an appointment. When he approached me, I said yes it is I'm here for an alignment, the guy told me I would have to leave my car with them because they have 3 classic cars ahead of me. I must say, Victor is bad ass and keeps it real. Does an awesome job diagnosing, keeping you informed and up to date and knows his cars. I have a 2014 civic si on some coilovers that I had a 'performance shop' in fremont install... Seemed legit. I recently hit one of those nasty potholes on s. bound 101 near the airport and something in my front suspension shifted throwing my f/r wheel and steering wheel out of whack. Went back to the 'performance' shop to find out what broke/shifted/etc. they didn't know, but they charged me for a full alignment and got my steering wheel straight. Not satisfied and fearing the worst (subrame, control arm, shock bent damage) I looked online for reviews and guidance. I found aligntechs and could not ignore the outstanding reviews! I was thinking it's not labeled a 'performance shop' of sorts, but I'll give it a try. Gave them a call and talked to Victor. He gave me a good run down of what it might be, estimate of repair, timetable, possible cost in like a 5 min or less convo. It felt like he was a car doctor! Long story short, lol. Brought my car in and he found out my coils were installed wrong, help me with that and found the problem with my suspension. My coilovers have a slot for camber adjustments and he simply corrected that as it shifted when I hit the pot hole. walah! About two months ago I slid into a curb in my 2019 Dodge Charger Hellcat trying to be a drift king and ended up messing up my entire back left rim, arms, brackets and all. I got all that fixed but still had issues with alignment and after taking it to two different shops to get a total of 4 alignments done within a month time period I decided to go to Aligntechs. I called in first and spoke with Sal who was very knowledgeable and confident on my situation and the repairs needed. He told me to come in right away and once I arrived I was helped out with no wait time, spoke to sal who happened to be working on an S63 AMG but was helped by Technician JR who was also very knowledgeable and great at speaking with me and really getting to understand my situation. In less than 25 minutes my steering wheel issue was resolved my alignment issue was resolved. JR my car feels great man you did an awesome job. Been around cars my whole life But then graduated to aircraft when I was 19 I might not be all greasy and have black finger nails But I can build and engine Rebuild a rear axle And make a wiring harness from scratch if need be I'm not new to anything automotive I was referred here by my buddy, who now that I look back at it is an idiot These guys just talked to me as if I was a pumpkin after they could not deliver on what they promised I brought my car over and told them what I wanted My car is on coil overs and everything is custom They said sure make an appt I did that and they gave me a price quote They did some work on it for about 15-20 mins And I drove around the block car still pulled to the left They said "it's your tires" Which is plauseable I got new tires the same day Drove it back over there then next morning since it had the same problem They were not willing to do anymore work and complained that was the best they could do, and that they should have charged me way more Why not just tell me up front you wouldn't be able to deliver? If they needed to charge me more to get the car to drive straight I would have paid the first time I have had cars with custom suspension all the way back to 2001 And have always been able to dial them in It's sad when wheel works has better customer service an you My advice is go somewhere else This place is probably cheaper but you are dealing with guys who can't fix anything..... only "adjust" at best read more

These guys know their stuff. Went to the Honda dealer earlier to get my wheels aligned and they had me pay for something they didn't fix. I went back to the dealer and told them the problem hasn't been fixed and then they reinspected the car and told me that I needed camber kit for my car which they don't service. My car started having creaking noises after SB Honda's second inspection. I knew I had to find a specialist that can fix my problems so I researched online and located Aligntechs. First impression coming in was a positive one as they took their time to explain to me in details what the problems were and told me that I don't have camber kit on my car and don't need one either. They brought me into the garage and pointed out the finer details to me. It was like getting a free lesson on car construction & maintenance. As I came into the shop, I noticed the shop was being operated by two men. The technician seemed to know what he was doing, but both of them acted casual. I told them about a mishap of aligning at my toyota dealership and they told me the technician should align everything up and finish the job. After my car was aligned, i took it off the lot and noticed my steering wheel was about 5 degrees off center to the left which contradicted about double checking after their work is done. I called them back and told them it was crooked. I called just 5 minutes after leaving the lot and they told me I couldn't come back until the next day to get it fixed. I brought it back the next day and the technician asked me where the steering wheel sits for it to go straight. I showed him and we went on a test run. He then told me my wheel was pretty straight and what I had told them about the crookedness was really off. They then fixed the wheel and i left. While driving on the highway, when I let go of the wheel, the car then began to pull to the right. I was not sure if this was normal or not so I call them back asking if it's normal. Then i receive attitude over the phone "explaining" that it was normal. Had they not left my steering wheel crooked and not given attitude at my confusion, they would have gotten a better rating. But I felt as if they just wanted me out of their hair. read more

I brought in my 3-year-old Jetta for alignment service today. No wait with appointment and it only took them ~40 mins to get it done. I got a quote for $75 (already lower than the quotes from other shops), but in end they only charged me $65 because they said the rear wheels were fine so they only adjusted the front wheels. Before I left, I asked about tire rotation. I was a little bit concerned coz I haven't done it in the while. They checked the tires for me and said the condition looked good, I don't need to do it right now, maybe come back to check after another 5000 miles. I was so glad they told me the truth. This completely blew away my impression that mechanics always trick you into doing services you don't need. Very honest, friendly, professional and efficient business! Highly recommended! Believe it or not, i am writing this review from my experience with them from a few years back. 6 years ago back in 2013, i got an alignment with them for my prius. Ever since getting the alignment, my prius handling was worse and it had a severe sway when driving at higher speeds specially on grooved parts of the freeway. It did not drive like that prior to the alignment. I remembered everything like it was yesterday. So, i called them right away after finding out about the problem, and the manager (i forgot his name) but i believe he was a military veteran like myself, he insisted that it was a permanent damage to my car which was new by the time and i was led to believe that i just had to live with it. Therefore, i got tricked that it was just the way it was and there was nothing wrong with my car. I drove it for years with crappy handling and severe swaying on the freeway and it was really annoying and frustrating to drive. Now, 2 days ago, i met a fellow prius owner who customized his own prius and worked on his car himself. I found out from him that these cars need a zero calibration steering sensor everytime it gets an alignment or other suspension work done. After i decided to do that, my unstable suspension feel, and frustrating swaying in the freeway went away. Despite driving it like that for 6 years. The only thing i want to say about this business is, you guys should be aware of certain make and models procedures and what other things has to be done after aligning the cars. Specially electric cars like the prius, tesla, etc. They're not just an align and go type of cars. They need to be calibrated with a computer through the OBD sensor in order for its computer to realize and adjust to the new work done. Do the job properly and dont just do it the easy way. More importantly, dont lead your customers to believe there is something wrong with their cars and they just had to live with it. Thank freaking you. read more

Amazing customer service. Incredibly informative and cooperative. I came here after my appointment with Tires Unlimited was left unfulfilled. They saw me and my 1966 Mustang right away. I am putting a new engine in my car soon and need to replace my ball joints, so they happily set the toe so my car would drive straight.
