Throughout the process Yosef kept saying they wouldn't leave until I was happy, and they stayed true to their word. You don't hear many, if any, businesses say something like that anymore, much less mean it. When we hit speed bumps, as all remodel projects do, the team was great at adjusting and finding solutions. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

It has been more than six months, with many calls and text messages, but the issue still has not been fixed. Another example is damage to our garage cabinet, where a hole was created during the work. We are still waiting for this to be repaired as well. Overall, the lack of timely resolution and poor communication after the project has been extremely frustrating.

I got quotes from 4 and found out quickly how much of a pain it is to look for a contractor (one tried to upcharge me and I was pretty distrustful over roofing companies after that). Fabian came super quick for a quote; offered a pretty fair price that included the scope of work; got the job done quickly; and was responsive before, during, and after the process. They finished fixing the roof in about 2 days actually (one day for the roof, one for the gutters) just in time for the nonstop rain this time around. He added vents so that the roof would circulate air a little better, fixed up the shingles, and added gutters so that we addressed all the possible ways the roof could've caused the leak. I will say in between the process since I'm super particular he answered any questions on building requirements needed, difference between materials, and general concerns. For example, the intake vents that initially were replaced looked wonky, or had stickers left over and he got his guys to replace it correctly and clean it/fix it. I noticed one of the gutters wasn't draining during the light rain and he had a guy check it out the same day-- fixed it the next. So the job close to perfect, but of course checking the work helps. So far no leaks (it's only been day 3 of the crazy rain this week) and the new gutters are draining great. They've been in business for years now and are local; if you're looking to deal with a pretty honest roofing company with no hassle, I'd reach out to them for a quote in a heartbeat.

You can see from the photos below that Gregory did a beautiful professional job on my project, working with the architect/designer who had suggested the built-ins, and responding to my particular requests. Fitting new cabinetry into an old wooden building required a lot of customization during installation, and Gregory was definitely up to the task - as mentioned by other reviewers he is easy to work with, creative, flexible, with an "incredible eye." He did all the installation and finishing himself (with a helper). To be fair, it took Gregory longer than he had estimated to make and install the cabinetry, but it was definitely worth the wait and he was very responsive and obliging throughout the process. The quality and value were top notch; the cost was about 50-60% that of the estimates I received from online cabinetry firms I contacted. Definitely a 5 star experience - thank you Gregory!

He is one of the most honest and quality-focused contractors I have ever worked with. During planning, I spoke to a number of other contractors who wanted to use retrofit windows and just leave the siding in place. Alan took the time to explain the proper way that the building wrap, siding and windows had to interface to get waterproofing, and how we were better off replacing all three if we wanted to be sure we'd fix our problem. Even with this extra scope, Alan's pricing was very fair. Thank god we went with Alan. When they removed the existing siding, they found severe water damage underneath the siding and a subpar earlier repair job. When this surprise came up, Alan talked us through the damage and gave us our options. They ended up ripping up two layers of existing siding, cutting out damaged building sheathing and replacing it with new plywood, before proceeding with the job. The overrun costs were very reasonable and we never felt like Alan was taking advantage of us. The end result was great quality at a fair price, and peace of mind that our issues have been resolved and we won't have to worry about the front / roof for a long time now. I would definitely hire Alan again and would recommend him to anyone looking for this kind of work.

Carlos, the owner, was incredibly kind, patient, and responsive throughout the entire process. He took the time to answer all of my questions and was especially helpful navigating the San Francisco permitting process, which -- as anyone who has gone through it knows -- can be confusing and challenging. Despite the delays on the city side, Carlos remained professional, patient, and reassuring the whole way through. All Bay Solar designed and installed an Enphase system for us, and we are very happy with how everything turned out. Their pricing was also competitive compared to other comparable quotes we received. Most importantly, the team was able to complete the installation in time for us to qualify for the end-of-year tax incentive, which we really appreciated. During the actual installation, the crew was efficient, clean, and professional. I hired All Bay Solar Construction back in 2022 to handle a main panel upgrade and the installation of 15 SunPower solar panels at my home in Pittsburg, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the overall experience. In 2015 we had All Bay Solar install our solar panels. We were so pleased with their work (no issues for the entire 4 yrs), that 4 years later, when we found we needed a new roof installed, we again called All Bay Solar. Edgar, the installer, remembers installing our solar panels, so there is longevity with their employees. The panels were removed, along with the old roofing material. A new roof was installed (it's beautiful) and then they reinstalled the solar panel. All the workers are so nice and they worked hard every day and finished the job earlier than expected. They also cleaned up at the end of each day. We had pigeons nesting under our panels, so we requested that a barrier be installed around each panel to eliminate the problem. I strongly suggest anyone having new solar panels installed do the same right away. All Bay Solar is taking care of that also. I installed the solar system last year December. I called three companies to get the quotes. Two companies, All Bay Solar and High Definition Solar came down to the location. They all quoted with premium quality products. All Bay Solar Company's quote is the least expensive. Their 18 panels system (5 kw+) is about the same price as the other company 12 panels system and they will do the service panel and wire replacement free of charge. The other company asked additional $2000 to do. At first I am afraid as I believe in what you pay is what you get. But I read about their company review in Yelp and I decided to go with them. I have made a good choice. It save me quite a lot of money and their workmanship is very good. They even go extra to work with the client to deal with the permit and the inspection process. It is already three months and my system is producing as it should and I am a happy man whenever there is Sun shine. read more

They were very pleasant to work with as they answered all of my questions very thoroughly and did a great job listening. After doing a lot of research as there are so many great companies, I ultimately chose All Bay Solar to provide me with solar for my home in the bay area because they were a great local company that I felt comfortable around and knew they would answer my calls if there was an issue.. From start to finish, we were so comfortable with every individual we interacted with. Our salesman, Patrick was no pressure, extremely helpful and very responsive. Danielle in the office was a joy and our project manager Jason was there for us all along the way. The install crew was phenomenal and completed the entire project in two days. We absolutely love having battery backup especially from 4 to 9 PM when PG&E charges the highest peak rate in the Continental U.S. California has the second-highest electricity rates in the U.S., (only behind Hawaii) which makes receiving power from the sun especially rewarding. If you are considering solar power, we highly recommend giving Northstar Solar an opportunity.

It's a nerve wracking process but Ryan gave me reassurance things would go well. Upon Ryan's recommendation, we also decided to replace the solar panel racking system installed by Sunrun because we were plagued with roof leaks due to improper sealing of their footings. Ryan and the Northstar team were absolute champs at removing and reinstalling the new system for us. Everyone we dealt with was so professional, kind and easy going. The work was beautifully done and based on all the photos and detail provided by Ryan I am confident we will be safe from leaks going forward. He also had to coordinate the reinstall with our roofer and everyone handled it so well. I 100% recommend Northstar and the team for this task, and also wouldn't hesitate to hire them for roofing based on their strong work ethic and product with our solar project. The price was fair and in line with other quotes I'd received. They were also flexible with our summer travel schedule, finding the right time to complete the installation without disrupting our plans. Throughout the process, they were punctual, hardworking, and handled all of the necessary approvals for San Francisco, which gave us real peace of mind. Steve and the team were outstanding--patient, responsive, and clear in their explanations of the system. They installed 22 panels with microinverters, plus a Franklin battery and Enphase monitoring, and everything has been working smoothly since day one. The best proof came just a week later, when a full-day neighborhood power outage didn't affect us at all--we had seamless backup power the entire time.
