I explained the problem with my microwave, then texted him a picture and identification tag information on the microwave. He let me know what the problem most likely was and then texted a cost estimate. We set an appointment, he called me the day before to confirm the appt and he arrived the next day within the 2 hr appointment window that we agreed on (he drove from Katy to our home in Rosenberg!). The issue was just as he diagnosed and he repaired the microwave promptly. Everything was just a blur. Sooooo fast! He's incredibly professional and he left the area super-clean... I first contacted James at the end of November about repairing a couple of burners on my gas range. He came highly recommended to me by others, including the owner of another appliance repair company who unfortunately does not service my area of town. My initial contact with him resulted in an appointment where he stated he could see me sometime in between 1030 and 1130 on the specified day. I said that sounded fine and asked him to give me a call when he was on his way. The day of the appointment came, and that one hour window also came and went. James contacted me about 15 to 20 minutes PAST that window of time during which he was supposed to see me to tell me he had a family emergency and that we would need to reschedule. I decided to find someone else to come and fix my stove. My stove is also the key to my home business so I NEED it fully functional. That is when I was RE-recommended to him. So ok, I figure I will give him another shot. Things happen, emergencies DO come up, plus I couldn't ignore the fact that so many people had had positive experiences with him here on yelp. I was still turned off by the fact that he contacted me so late the first time to say he couldn't make it, but I was still willing to give him another chance. Silly me. Fast forward to this week when I called him again and tried to make another appointment. This time he asked me to take pictures of the serial number for my stove and text it to him and he would get back to me with a price later on that evening & we would proceed from there. Do you think he ever got back to me? Surprise: he didn't. Its been almost 3 days since he said he'd get back to me. I am not sure why this guy chooses to blow off customers like this, as I have never utilized his service before. I'm not sure what the deal is but I am very disappointed in the lack of communication and apparent lack of integrity that I've experienced with this gentleman, especially after seeing all of these glowing reviews for him. He was not only fast but very honest. When I mention that all of our appliances were new he mention that we still had a one year warranty and should go that route to have them take care of any issues. Once I told him it was urgent because of family needs and showed up and figured out what the actual issue was. He was fair, honest and very quickly. I called James and said I would pay for a service call/repair on a 2011 refrigerator w/o the warranty insurance service we had paid for since two warranty service companies could not make a repair or were unreliable. I explained the technical problem to James as I understood it. He said he was in the neighborhood; had time before his next appt.; and would come right over. He diagnosed the problem immediately. It had gone into "display mode" probably as a result of a local power surge. He corrected that and checked the operation for the cost of the service call. We were so happy after 3 weeks with no refrigeration that we asked him to order a new door seal, which he did and replaced a few days later. It is nice to know there are still knowledgeable, competent and reliable service companies. I highly recommend him. Background: Our 2011 refrigerator stopped working except for the lights and panel. We called the Home Depot Extended Warranty Insurance company and they arranged for a rear service under the police we had purchased. When the guy came a week later he said he needed parts. Four days later he was back but couldn't affect a repair. The Master Tech was sent a week later. He had more parts but couldn't make a repair either. He put the old parts back in and said they were done with our appliance. The warranty company arranged for another repair service but they canceled the 1st appt., the 2nd, and then said they would have a tech a week later. And those guys had poor reviews. We were buying ice every day for a large cooler and quite displeased. read more

I was highly satisfied with this company. I called them when my upright freezer went out and they were here in an hour. He was very professional and did what he could. He wrote down exactly what he did on the invoice and what to do if something didn't work out. He only charged me a small amount to "come out and look at it" because he didn't have to use any parts I suppose. Anyway I will definitely use them again in the future! read more
