Best pizza we've had so far in the area, staff was friendly and helpful. Outdoor seating area was really nice as well. Ice cream was good too, the dark chocolate was a favorite of ours. This place gets busy quick, we arrive at 4pm not knowing they opened at 430pm so we waited in our car and eventually had to get out and wait by the door because several people were showing up too. Headed to a show at the venue across the street, we arrived early to find some dinner. As we pulled into a parking spot on the street the bright yellow sign of All Souls Pizza caught our attention, and we knew we had found our dinner. We walked into a short line at the counter to place our order and then found seats. The interior is pretty plane, just simple decor. They had a small menu, which I'm sure helps expedite the kitchen process. But may be hard for pick eaters to find soemthing. Not wanting anything too heavy we just went with a classic cheese pizza and grabbed a couple of beers. The food came out pretty quickly and was brought to our table. The thin crust NY style pizza tasted great, though the edges got a bit toastier than I like, so the edge crusts weren't great. The overall experience was good. Service was friendly, as I mentioned the menu is a bit limited which may pose issues for some. But the food was quick, and decent quality, though it's a bit pricey. After a bad experience with a fancy restaurant, I came here with my beautiful wife for just some tried and true pizza! The wood-fired pizza did not disappoint! The ingredients were nice and fresh, the staff was friendly and the pizza was pretty yummy! It saved our night after the bad experience we had at another spot. The bill was not very high and the food was satisfying! The staff were really nice even though it was late. I'd say this is a great spot if you've got a hankering for some good old pizza. It will not disappoint! Parking: there was plenty of parking! Seating: like you'd expect in a typical pizzeria nothing fancy but comfortable! Was able to try their soft serve the other day and was pleasantly surprised. At seven dollars, eight dollars with tip. It was pretty pricey, but it tasted delicious. Their pizza is still a solid choice for the area. Absolutely love the outside seating for the warm season. The pizza itself is delicious. I like that. It's thin crust and has a diverse array of toppings. Of course they highlight a bunch of local stuff and quirky things. The more unique, the more you are going to pay. They do give a good amount of toppings and the sauce is delicious. One pizza is pretty good to share, but it's not a ton of food. The service is decent. The price is pretty crazy for what you get, but that's Asheville. Especially in a trendy location. I also like that they have beer and wine on the menu. My husband and I shared: - Pepperoni, Tomato Sauce, Banana Peppers, Mozzarella, Local Honey Pizza - House Kimchi, Mozzarella, Eggs Pizza Both pizzas were fantastic. If I had to pick between the two, I'd go with the kimchi one because it was so unique. They're only open for outdoor dining & takeout right now which I was fine with since I prefer to eat outside. We were able to find shade on the patio. My only complaint about this spot is that they don't name their pizzas, they just list every ingredient/topping. A new spot for us! Friends recommended it so off we went. We were starving so I forgot to photograph the soup we started with. Farro, kale, and turnip in what tasted like bone broth with a touch of lemon. Delicious!! And as you can tell from the photo, the pizza was spot on as well. I really wanted a soft serve cone we saw go by for dessert but shockingly it was $7. I wish it were possible to leave a 4.5 star review, because that would be more accurate. We ordered the mushroom pizza and the bibb salad for take-out. Both were very good; however, the mushroom pizza was supposed to come with capers and did not. (Though it was still quite tasty.) The greens in the bibb salad were fresh and lovely, but for the price it needs something more than the greens and small bits of apple. The picture on the website showed large pecans in the salad, but it came with only a bit of ground nuts in the dressing. We added some of our own blue brie cheese, which is just what it needs. read more

We also ordered the mushroom pizza, which was delicious but too much thyme for my taste. The staff here is very friendly and attentive, and the service is fast. My favorite thing about All Souls is there outdoor seating area - plenty of picnic tables outside makes for a really nice vibe, especially on a summer weekend! Happiness is when you find a source that points you in a direction such as All Souls Pizza! This was the first stop on our progressive dinner night to allow us to sample multiple places in 1 evening! For our "appetizer" course we ordered a wonderful fresh assorted lettuce salad and an incredible tomato mozzarella with added onions and fresh basil pizza. The dough had a nice tang, seemed to be whole wheat'ish with a tender texture. ( about 6 slices so only 1 remained for breakfast!) Assorted draft beers with a good wine by the glass list or bottles if so inclined. Plenty of picnic tables near the restaurant and next to their veggie/flower garden. Bring a sweater for the amazing cool nights. Get there early or expect a line! Order your meal at the side window, keep your tab open if needed for more beverages, you will receive your silverware and side plates. Choose your table and settle in! There were a couple of folks busy with bringing drinks and food out. It seemed that if you want another drink, more water, etc. you have to get back in line so plan accordingly. All Souls served us the first meal in Asheville that didn't disappoint me. The basic story is this is wood fired pizza from house mulled grains and super fresh ingredients. I suspect much of the veg is grown in the garden outside. The outdoor seating is expansive, shaded, great for kids and one of the best COVID setups I have seen. The menu doesn't offer many vegan options but they can do a custom, cheese-free pizza that is very tasty with Swiss chard, onions and basil. It is a popular place so there can be a wait. read more

Solid choice for wood fired pizza. The restaurant is counter service and they also have soft serve which was pretty rich but good. Usually when I get soft serve it melts too fast which I don't like but theirs held its consistency pretty well. The chocolate flavor is also more of a dark chocolate so it's not too sweet but very rich. read more

We confused All Souls for another nearby pizzeria but decided to stay when we arrived and we're so glad we did. The outdoor seating area is very inviting with lots of fresh air and on this Wednesday night, a live bluegrass duo that was GREAT! Nice pizza selections and a suitable number of beers on tap. Our only complaint is that after tipping over 20% percent on the total bill (service was excellent!), we didn't notice until later a small note at the bottom of the bill that a 2.5% tip was included for kitchen staff. It was dark and they were closing so we missed the note - this should be stated more clearly. Otherwise, we were very happy that we found a new pizza restaurant with great outdoor space. read more

This is probably now one of my favorite pizza places after our visit here for a late lunch/early dinner. We ordered three pies: the pepperoni, the roasted garlic cream with bacon, escarole and mozzarella and the garlic sausage with kale, roasted cippolini onions and mozzarella. All were incredible. The crust was cooked perfectly and tasted like a whole wheat sourdough. They have a cute outdoor area with picnic tables and lots of pretty flowers. Great service. Highly recommend! read more

We love this farm to table local eatery in Asheville. It's currently closed to dinning inside due to Covid-19, but they are making do with a great outdoor set up with tables in the parking lot with ropes that are safe for kids and dinners. We stopped in for the polenta pizza and it did not disappoint, we shared one pizza and a avocado salad with olive appetizer and a bottle of wine. The restaurant is short staffed with just 3 employees working the outside area but they do a fabulous job, we never waited or felt like we didn't have anything! They are doing a great job managing Covid-19! The food is still fresh, delicious and worth supporting! read more

I have friends that are basically obsessed with this place and I can see why but for me, it's not my favorite. My friend is vegetarian and cat eat super well here and her food looked awesome. Since I have a gluten allergy, I don't get to partake in the crispy delicious wood fire pizza. I was limited to two gluten free pizza choices on polenta crust. This crust just didn't do it for me. The grains of the polenta tasted caky and was thick under the small toppings. I feel like I filled up on that super quick and just didn't enjoy the texture much. This is a lovely place for those who can find something on the menu they enjoy. My friend's simple tomato and cheese pie looked amazing. I'd recommend that. For me, I'm going to skip this on in the future since it's just not a great fit for what I can eat. read more

Everything else about this place was lovely but it is a restaurant after all and it is mostly about the food. The crust was dry and crackly, tasted maybe a little stale. Like they tried to cut too many ingredients out to make pizza healthy or something. The toppings tasted fresh but it needed a sauce or something. The pizza was pretty bland. They did have a good selection of local beers. The inside is very relaxed, a nice volume for talking, clean and the staff were very very nice and great at the service aspect. The atmosphere was nice for a date. We got cake for dessert and it the opposite of moist. The flavors weren't working together every well. Very disappointed. Very poor service. We ordered two pizzas. Mine came out ten minutes before my husband's pizza. Of course, by the time he got his, mine was cold. The server did not so much as appear apologetic that the second pizza took so long. Merely shrugged his shoulders. Thin crust pizza, this is not indicated anywhere on the menu. Very little sauce and even less cheese. Asked for garlic powder. None available. Wanted a diet cola. Not available. Would've liked extra cheese to sprinkle on this very dry pizza. Didn't bother asking. Not many choices on the menu in general. Very cold in the dining room. Not sure if they had paid the heating bill at all. One of the worst pizzas I have ever had in any restaurant anywhere. Given the fabulous quality of other meals that we have had here in Asheville, this was a pitiful excuse for a pizzeria. We went for dinner on a Friday night at 7pm and were able to get a table much quicker than I anticipated. The interior is comfortable and the staff is great. The pizza was a traditional flat-bread and was enough to share between two people. We did the same with the beet salad and were more than satisfied- the leftovers were just as good the next day ;) I'd recommend maybe trying a few different pizza and planning on leftovers. We Love their food! The Pizza is amazing and artisan and wonderful! They use heirloom grain for their dough and their breads. The quality and goodness brightly shine through! They also support local farmers by using closely sourced ingredients that make the tastes and flavors even more heightened. Last visit we thoroughly enjoyed homemade broccoli soup. It was SO comforting on a chilly day. Also enjoyed the chicken panini served on the addictive and awesome Farm and Sparrow bread! It was cheesy, chicken filled, grilled and eye rolling wonderful. One of the best places in Asheville for pizza for sure!! Plenty of parking in their private lot. Interior is basic and service was okay but will always come back for the delicious goodness. read more
